[Oki]

Shortly after asking his question to Sera*, a buzz came to his ear and then to the other. Finally, something perked his whiskers and made them twitch and his nose crunch up. Eyes crossing to look at his nose, he found that a fly was causing him such nuisances. Figuring he maybe had the subtle scent of his last meal still on his whiskers and goatee. Snorting it away up towards the ceiling of the cave, Oki itched his nose by rolling it around a few times. Hopefully not bothering his new acquaintance, he apologized with a quiet, "Sorry", smiling softly.

Pondering over her thoughts to his question, he couldn't imagine their breed being a nomadic one, but one never knew. However, he responded as such, "Well, I suppose that maybe they were in this region all along....Either that or they were nomadic", he admitted. After watching her relax even further by lying on the ground, he felt more comfortable and decided to do similar. Getting onto his back, now having a clear view of the ceiling, Oki kept his head turned towards her and gave her his attention rather than the top of the cave. A low rumbly sound floated to his ears, the cave amplifying it slightly. Grinning, he followed her eyes to see that that the wind has died down some. Conjuring up an idea of getting food, as he was suddenly hungry, his head came back down to the side to look at Sera. Hearing her belly's want for food, he couldn't help but chuckle this time, "Sounds like someone's hungry. But you know what?" he patted his belly a few times with a paw, "So am I. How's about we get ourselves some supper?" He then finished his proposal with a lick of his whiskers.

Sera noticed that the fly had found it's way to Oki, she giggled a little after he snorted and the fly buzzed away. "I don't believe they were nomadic, their society was more complex than the one now. We lived with packs joined together and the Alpha pairs would take turns ruling over the others. I was told that it fell apart frequently because the Alpha pairs fought over who was the ultimate Alpha-pair." As she talked, Oki decided to settle down on the floor in front of her. He grinned at the sound of her growling stomach. "Okay." She got up and shook the dirt out of her pelt. Luckily for her, it was still dark from the night. She stretched out her body along with her wings. She flapped them a couple times before leaving the comfort of the cave.

The first step she took out of the cave shocked her. The wind had died down, but it was still cold. She shivered and tried to hide that she was bothered by the cold. She outstretched her wings and leaped into the air, letting her wings lift her paws off the ground. She flew above the trees to search for any sign of prey. After a minute or two, she spotted a bull elk wandering around. She stalked from the sky, until it trotted into an open area. With one big inhale of air, she gathered all the heat she could, and sent one beam, strait towards the bull. Her body faintly glowed as the beam swerved away from the bull, and made a circle around it. Before the bull could react to the flames around it, she swooped down and landed on the ring of fire that surrounded her soon to be dinner. Still hidden from the flames, she jumped out and onto the bull. It shrieked in terror as she landed on it's back. Quickly, so he couldn't buck her, she grabbed it's neck hard in her jaws until she heard a snap, and the bull fell to the ground.

Previous to suggesting for them to catch a meal or even lie down for that matter, Sera explained about her origins and their ways. Having an Alpha pair seemed redundant and counterproductive to him and could understand why they often fought over who was best. As she finished up, he responded with a soft, "I can understand why", nodding as he spoke.

Just as Oki settled onto his back comfortably, expecting Sera to take a while to think, not to jolt up quickly, he rolled onto his side with a grunt. Finally getting up onto his own four legs, she almost out of the cave. Hastily stretching his body, wings and legs to catch up to her, he barely had enough room to boast his full wingspan. Yawning, he called over to Sera, "Hold up a sec..." Curling his toes finally, metallic claws scrapped against the stone floor, muscles warm from the stretching. Serafina already up in the air, Oki followed close behind, spreading his wings and jumping upwards with a powerful flap of his wings. Close behind, they skimmed over the canopies of the forest until he was able to see a lone male elk that she soon claimed. Wondering to himself if she was going to be able to eat the whole thing, he knew that he could and if he were to, he needed to catch his own kill. Hovering in the air above where Sera dove, blue eyes scanned the area and soon found that the herd where the bull elk probably wandered from. Deciding to hesitate, Oki watched how she marked and caught her kill. Finding she was of fire element, he admired her control and skill, in that in hunting and the use of her element.

However, not staying too much longer, wings pushed the air down and lifted him up and forward. Finding himself at the herd, high above. Figuring he wanted a nice plump cow, as they yielded more tender meat, he licked his whiskers before nose diving to his target. Sparks began to jump over his body, dancing a ballet foretelling death. Reaching the cow, Oki tackled it to the ground, much of that like a hawk would swoop into its kill. Taking the animal by surprise, before the dust cloud even cleared, Oki found her neck and sparks exploded over his body, also over the cow. Frying the nervous system, the cow fell limp. Double tapping, he jerked his head to the side, hearing the snap of his kill's neck. Figuring that Serafina and him would enjoy each others company, he knew he wasn't far and he shifted into his anthropomorphic form, standing about 5 feet tall and 8 inches. Crouching down, Oki put his paws under his kill and with a grunt, lifted it and slung it over his shoulder. With the extra weight, his footfall was heavy as he made his way to meet up with Serafina.

Sera watched as Oki took down his own kill. She noticed that the sparks and flames had started to follow him. She flew over to where he was to put out the fire she created. As she landed in the middle of the flames, she waited as the fire crawled to her and absorb into her. She opened her eyes and saw that a large anthro-wolf stood before her. It carried a dead cow over it's shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She felt threatened of the anthro and began to retreat backward. It began to walk closer and closer to her. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore. She stretched out her wings and took of into the sky. She felt her tail brush across it's face as she zoomed in front of him. His face felt cool against her tail because of the fire she had just absorbed. She flew back to the cave where she had met Oki. He wasn't outside, but she wasn't going to go back outside and search for him while the anthro was out there.

Flames started to dance in his vision, knowing he was close to Sera. Soon though, the fire started to diminish and disappear. Watching closer, a dark figure stood behind the fire closest to him and noticed it was the female. He knew she held the power of fire, but didn't know she had the ability to absorb any flames, extinguishing them. He figured it's a good ability to have though; don't want to create a forest fire. Comparing her ability to his own, he could also absorb any type of electrical energy, for example taking a lightning bolt as if to block it from striking a specific place.

Approaching Sera, he was about to comment about what she had just done, but she started to back up. Smile flattening, a brow quirked as he tried to follow her eyes, slowly turning his head around, wondering if she saw something behind him. Not finding anything, head pivoted around to look back at Sera and ask what she was afraid of. However, before he finished turning himself around, a tail bombarded his face with fur and took a step back. Oki's free paw came up to itch at his muzzle and eyes opened to find Serafina yards away already, heading in the direction where their cave was. Paw sliding off his face and reaching out where Sera was flying to, as if he was going to call out, 'Wait!'. Knowing she wouldn't be coming back, realizing that maybe his current form scared her off, ears flattened and pushed forward with a step. Grabbing the antler of her kill, he began to drag it along with him, heading back to the cave. Finally getting to a labored jog, and after a while of getting to the cave, Oki was panting once he saw the opening. Cautiously entering the threshold, he quickly put down his kill and ungripped hers and held his paws in front of him, "Hold on Sera, its me, Oki", his voice sounded distressed, sorry for scaring her, "It's me..." He then gestured to his copper pelt and silver underbelly, his muffler and the sword on his back. Finally spreading his wings, showing her his teal and blue feathers, Oki slowly crouched to the ground and sat, "...You forgot your kill, so I brought it with me", he said softly, catching his breath. Deep blue iris' kept on his lap for a moment before he looked up at her, hoping she realized it was him whom she had met not too long ago.

Sera gently landed outside before running inside. She came to the back wall and hid in the crevice where Oki had first found her. As she settled in and made her body small enough to where she wasn't seen on the first glance of some passer-by, her stomach growled. Louder and longer than before. She was tempted to leave the safety of the cave and retrieve the kill she had claimed, but she didn't want to find the anthro again. She had felt so helpless and small compared to his tall stance. Her ears perked at the sound of something approaching. Oki's scent drifted over to her nose. Calmed by his presence, she began to emerge from her hiding spot. "Oki! I'm glad your here there was a-" She looked outside to see not Oki, but the anthro. But how come it had Oki's scent? Before she could question him, he spoke. He showed her all his unique features. The coppery pelt, silver underbelly, and teal and blue feathers. He looked up to her with his deep blue eyes. She took a step closer before talking. "You could of told me you could transform before scaring the fire out of me," She teased playfully.

Okamiimaru sat cross-legged just inside of the cave. Clearing his throat, he took a deep breath as he lifted his head to look at her. Watching her step forward, his lungs held onto the air. Noticing the fear and shock that has left her eyes, Oki exhaled through his nose, relieved as she neared him. Her words made him smile and he felt a little better. A paw lifted and scratched the back of his head, "Aye, I'm sorry Sera. Di'n't come to mind to tell you. Though maybe I can show you my other form I can take." Oki then followed to get onto his fore paws and knees and sparks began to dance around his body. Soon a cloud of electricity covered his form, opaque. His silohuette changed from his current form and it seemed to go back to his former state, however, no wings could be seen. As he finished transforming, the sparks dissipated quickly, jumping away from his body. A new form was present, similar to the form he first was in, but no wings and only one tail. "This is the third and final form I can take, appearing to be a regular wolf. I usually don't utilize it though, however I did a lot years ago to...blend in, I suppose. You see, I was discriminated with having wings and more than one tail, so I learned to take this form. As I said though, I really don't need to anymore; I don't pay attention to those and only to those who like me for who I am, not what I look like." After explaining, Oki sat on his haunches and shifted into his initial form, similar sparks manifested into two more tails and wings, then dissipated in the same manner. Featheres ruffled as he moved the wings, flexing them.

Stomach growls began to ensue, feeling his belly starting to shake from how violent his hunger was. A fore paw lifted to rub at where it was rumbling, "Perhaps we should get eating", he chuckled. Turning, he padded over to the buck and grabbed one of his antlers with his teeth and pulled backwards, bringing it into the cave. Placing it in front of Sera, he flashed a smile to her and went to go get his.

Sera watched as sparks danced around him. She could make out his figure, which changed from a tall anthro to a regular wolf. The form was similar to the one she had met him in. The only difference was he had no wings and had only one tail. She sat down as Oki began to explain why he didn't use the form anymore. She wrapped her tail neatly around her paws and ruffled her feathers to get them comfortable. After he finished, he transformed back into the form Sera had first known. Once again the sparks danced around his frame. A single spark broke free of the rest and flew towards her. She blew it back to his body, but it disintegrated before it could reach him. When she looked up to him, he was in the form she knew him best in. Sera's ears perked when Oki's stomach growled. Before she could say anything he padded over to her kill and placed it in front of her. She smiled in return and bent down to eat.

She licked her lips and sat up when her stomach was filled. She had devoured most of the buck and left only muscle and the meat too hard to chew. How long had it been since she last ate? She couldn't even remember when she had been this full. She had gotten lost in the forest a couple days ago, even thought she had been with the pack for at least a year or two. She looked up to the outside of the cave. It had begun to get light outside. The sky was a canvas with purple, blue, pink, orange and yellow, all swirling around each other.

Jaws clenched around the neck of the female elk, feeling the spine under his teeth. Pulling backwards, she was heavy as the elk was dragged across the outside grass and into the slightly warmer cave. Stopping close to Sera, the elk's head flopped to the stone floor as Oki let go of its neck. Tongue washed his whiskers as he was eager to finally dig in. Ripping into his meal, belly first, the meat was tender, moist and fatty; his favorite.

Finding himself gnawing on one of the femurs of the now skeleton of the elk that sat before him, eyes glanced over to Sera to find she was finishing up herself. Breaking the bone in half after chewing on it for so long, his tongue slurped the marrow out from the inside. Not much was left otherwise of the carcass. Taking a deep breath and letting out a relieved sigh, his nose and whiskers were still slightly warm as it was covered in grease and blood. As he was laying down, forelegs pushed him upwards to sit up. Taking a short moment to stretch, his belly was satisfied and always knew to eat his fill at every meal, not knowing when he would be able to feed again. Head turned as he stretched, glancing outside of the cave. The clouds parted and shown an aray of beautiful colors, seldom to appear in the sky.

Looking over to Sera once more, he felt his goatee heavy with the grease and blood, still have not cleaned it off himself. Nonetheless, he gave a humorous smile to her in hopes of getting at least a smile in return. Continuing the amusment with a chuckle, his tongue licked up to his nose, but stayed there as he crossed his eyes, making a funny face. Then remembering he had longer than normal fangs, he switched personas and put a wing in front of his muzzle. "I have come to suck your blood", Oki spoke in the cliche Dracula accent, uncovering his muzzle to show the bloodiness, comically baring his fangs. Laughing shortly at his entertainment, his tongue began to wash over his muzzle, cleaning himself off, hoping she found him amusing as much as he did himself.

Sera licked the blood off her lips as she finished most of the buck. Only leaving behind hard meat and fat. Her stomach growled with satisfaction as she got up to stretch. She shook her fur and stretched out her wings before looking over to Oki. He had grease and blood all over his face. His face made him seem like some kind of clown so she laughed with him. She began to realize that she had never been this open with a wolf before. She looked back up to Oki and noticed he had drawn his wing over his muzzle and said he wanted blood. She cocked her head to the side and burrowed her eyebrows together. He pulled his wing back to reveal his bloodied muzzle along with fangs. Is he trying to be some monster? She couldn't quite figure it out so she gave a little chuckle.

Smacking lips, the tip of Oki's muzzle was clean of blood, grease and fat from his meal. Letting out a satisfied sigh, back straightened and flexed, feeling pops and cracks. Continuing his stretch, forepaws reached forward, then pulled himself forward while his hind legs unbend. Grunting happily, Oki let himself go limp and he rolled over onto his back. At least he got a few laughs out of her; it made him happy that he could make others laugh. He loved to. Oki considered himself a clown, in a more conservative sense. Seeing others laugh was more of a goal in life for himself.

Facing the ceiling of the cave they were in, Oki's eyes acted as if they were focusing on something intensely, looking for something. His mind trailed off on something trivial before tilting his head backwards to look at Sera, now upside down. Deep blue irises watched her, surprised how well they were getting along with each other this quickly. It was unusual for Oki to be himself around those whom he had just met; he usually acted more closed and more neutral about things. Oki blinked and smiled, "So, fire magic, eh? My sister has a similar fire magic...Was yours discovered or did you learn it from a mentor?" The question just passed his thoughts and really counldn't think of anything else to start a conversation. "...If you don't mind me asking, heh", he continued after a short pause.

Sera watched Oki as he stretched and fell to the ground. He seemed to be deep in concentration so she decided to let him be. She curled up into a ball and began to doze off. But before she could a noise from outside the cave caught her attention. After a second she had realized Oki was talking to her. "Oh, I uh, discovered it." She got up and began to move toward the entrance of the cave. "Hold that thought for a second." She took another step forward. She was now at the mouth of the cave. It was still pitch dark out, which made it hard to see. Her eyes finally adjusted when the sound came again. This time it was louder. Her eyes searched the area. She didn't know what she was looking for, but she had a feeling it was a threat. And she hoped, for their sake, that whatever it was, would leave them alone.

Comfortable laying on his back, it stretched it out and created a stiff feeling. Despite how bad it sounded, it felt quite good to the male and was actually relaxing. Almost falling asleep himself, his eyes opened once more to Sera's voice. She either sound uncertain or her mind was elsewhere for the moment. Continuing to watch her, he gave a response before she got up, "Ahh, I see. I discovered mine at a young age as well, though my Father hinted towards I held the same power as him. Without that, I dunno how long it would have been until I uncovered my abilities since he died when I was still just a pup. He...", he trailed off as Sera quickly got up and went over to the mouth of the cave.

My, it sure has gotten dark out, Oki thought. Turning over himself, Oki stretched lightly once more and trotted over to the mouth of the cave and stood next to Sera. Poking his head out, he looked around. Blinking, his eyes went from a deep blue to a deep crimson, the pupils now slitted like a reptiles. His vision was heightened with this set of eyes and the absense of light was clear as day to him. He couldn't see anything out of the ordinary and he glanced over at the femme, whispering, "What's wrong?...What do you see?", he was at a loss. He probably wasn't looking in the correct direction or for sure he would have seen something. However, he didn't catch the noise that she had probably heard.[/size]

"I uh, I don't see anything. But I could have sworn I heard something." Within the next second, the noise occurred again. But now it came from above. Now Sera could recognize the sound. Her eyes widened in fear. A memory came to her. It was her parents. And a beast. She was hiding in a bush where her parents had told her to stay. They were being taken by the beast. She recognized the beast as what her pack had called a dragon. A beast of scales that terrorized the wolves. After a second, she returned to what was happening. The dragon had landed in front of the cave. Sera's breathing became quick with fear. Her legs became wobbly and she fell to the ground. She shook with fear.

The dragon huffed a breath, smoke escaping it's nostrils and clouding the ground. It's scales were black like the bottom of the ocean and it's eyes were the blue of a lake filled with mud. He looked down at Sera, his eyes narrowing. He lowered his head so it was in front of Sera, who crouched down and began to back up slowly. A soft whine escaped her jaws as the dragon huffed another breath. "Wolf," he began, with a voice that shook the cave. "What are you doing in my cave." His booming voice echoed through the cave. Sera whined again. She shivered to much to be able to answer the dragon.

[Oki]

Ears swiveling on top of his head, a noise broke the silence. That's what she must have heard, he thought as his eyes narrowed. Curious as to what or who made the sound, it came again from above. Shooting a glance up, a large reptilian figure dropped out of the sky. A figure he has never seen before, but heard in stories and lore. 'Could it be...??", Oki gasped at the idea and the sight. He was both in awe and fear for the Shinkou. He had no idea that Dragons existed, let alone one lived within their home. The shocked expression he held turned to one of slight irratence. Clenching his jaws, his fangs bared subtly at the situation at hand.

Watching it, his muscles tensed and he took a step ahead of Sera, putting the female behind him. Calming himself some, his expression became hard, but showed no anger or hostility towards the mythical beast. It's breath filled his nostrils and it smelled of soot and stale meat; it made his nose crinkle. Retaining his focus, it asked why the both of them were in their cave. At least it didn't try to eat us yet, Oki thought. "Oh? This is your cave? We had no idea. We were taking shelter from the high winds from earlier", his own wings shuffled as he said so, "We're terribly sorry about the intrusion." He looked from Sera then back up at the Dragon. After an uneasy pause, he continued, "...We shall get going then...", he lifted a paw to move away.

((I dunno if you wanted to control the dragon because you had an idea, but if you don't have any set ideas of what you wanted to do or what to happen, I can control him some in my next reply :3))
