OoC: Hey, Hel... Sorry I disappeared again x.x; I hope you're still up for this DX
iC:
Vellina nodded vaguely in response turning once more to face her father, who stood, head held high. She ignored Tiberius as he stretched and did his thing. Her focus was on the battle at hand. She knew they would be meeting the cougars in battle soon, and she knew it would not be an easy battle. But she was focused and ready.
Shanto saw that his group was ready, all attention on him, so he began as is always done, a speech to get everyone all riled up and ready. "Wolves!" He began, his voice deep and strong. "All of you have experienced something in your pasts. Something which has given you a desire for bloodshed. For each of you, the story is different. But in the end, we have all gathered. Here, and now. Here we are together, united under one goal! Our enemy draws nearer. They think they will end you! Like so many others have before. But they will not! Today, fight for what you will. Attack them. Terrify them. Today they fall. And we will conquer!"
He smirked to himself as a howl arose and shouts of agreement. They were ready. He leaped from the plateau and in a powerful stride he raced forward, the others following after him. No. They weren't waiting around for the cougars to come and find them.
They covered the ground swiftly, easily, as is the hunter's ability. They moved with a purpose and they knew their goal. Soon, the mountains where the cougars resided loomed before them in the near distance. Almost there. While at first, Shanto had thought it might be a good idea to wait until dawn to attack, he had had a feeling in his gut that the cougars might attack them during the night while they slept. It seemed he had been right. The cougars were heading toward them, the ground between the two groups closing until they would collide in the sound of growls and roars, flying fur and blood.
Shanto had identified the leader easily and two two met head on. So this was the creature who had destroyed his home. His family. His beloved. This creature would die.
He lunged, powerful muscles surging and met his match. The cougar jumped straight to his abilities, a ball of flame sizzling past Shanto's shoulder and burst into the air. In an instant, the cougar's paws were flaming, claws glowing searing white. Shanto knew he must reserve his energy, but his fur cackled with the electricity flowing to the tips of it and a vapor rose from his own claws. Deadly poison. The two circled each other, and the cougar smirked. "Why, I can't believe a fool is challenging me!" Shanto ignored him. He wasn't going to be drawn into a game of banter.

OoC: Nah its all good here, I check regularly, even if i initially get nothing. lol I sgtill wait, Im a bit stubbornly patient over some things.
---
Unable to fully join the battle, due to his age, and lack of real, geniune speed. Tiberius was actually... well... NOT there. At first of course.
His shadow passed along the ground combat, as his gigantic set of torn, black, stained wings, some feathers nothing but the bone-like cartilage beneath the thin threads that gave him lift, coated in the blood of something no longer existing. It was to show how great a monster he had become at one point... or... perhaps how great a monster he was already.
He smoothly made a downward careen, onto a ledge, many meters above the battle, landing by the paws as he folded those large wings. His eyes, burning with much diligence, yet without much consideration for life... or at least a CARE. He laid down.
"Hmm... let me see...", he leaned forward, watching the battle, claws tapping the ground lightly as he became almost facsinated by the violence and gore beneath him. He had the chance... the chance that could very well KILL them off, "Ohhhh, what to do... what to do...", his ears flicked about. Until he found Shanto of course.
Now if we remember clearly, he had considered the thought of killing the male. Yes that's right... he did. And with the leader of the Cougars, and the leader of the Wolves in clear view, engaging on the rocky opening of the mountain... he had the sprouting opprotunity to kill both of them!
He however, rumbled deeply... if he failed... this wouldn't go over easy.
He sighed, and stood... he would assist blatenly for now. He took a stance, causing a small rumble of the ground around him to shake, "Zvyras...", he began, opening his jaws and suddenly rapdily gathering the small rocks, pebbles, to cobbles nearby, floating them around his body before roaring, "KUL!!", he howled, and the would torrent to the front of his open jaws, before ROCKETING outward, down to the fight.
He had considerably good aim... most were targetted to the enemy, and generally in their correct vacinity.
If they would hit or miss depended on how fast the cougars were... if they MISSED?... well... it was very intimidating to see the ground being pelted, leaving gashes, and smoke rising into the sky with the constant CLANG, and BOOM, of heavy to light rocks being fired away at them. It was like a machine gun.

OoC: Haha ^^; well thanks!
iC:
The wolf group's leader was caught in full combat with that of the cougars, both circling, then colliding, roars escaping as claws and teeth met flesh and blood spattered the earth. The other wolves were caught in the tangle as well. Fire shot into the air, disappearing in puffs, lightning cackled, vapors rose, rock flew and the ground shifted. Various others each had their own abilities and those who didn't fought with all they had physically.
None of them saw Tiberius' move coming. At first, some looked up in uncertainty, and once the wolves realized what it was, they regained their attack, pushing back their opponents. The cougars saw it as another ability, of course, and fought back, though it was quite difficult being pelted painfully in the sides, the heads, the paws. Now and then a wolf was pelted also and would growl, but accepted it was part of the battle.
It raged on, the wolves growing more and more confident, pushing their enemy back. Surely, they would win.
The cougars could see they were losing, but refused to give up, certain that something would happen to turn it around.
And all the while, the leaders continued, the wear of battle starting to show.

Tiber's gigantic black wings were still visible, hoisting high above himself, even as he was mounted the the side of the rocks, he had near run out of ammo.
He put out a number of loud, crackling, fast, bullet-like attacks... before he stopped, closing his maw sharply, and then opening it. Gases of green energy(the earth spirit's power) began to bubble around his maw, the small pebbles, to mid sized cobbles suddenly imploded to this form. It generated a small field of burasting, grinding, and crackling material.
Tiber was building upon one attack to make a larger, more devastating one. His wings folded in, and he put one of his paws forward, stretching outward, and crouching, in order to hold his ground upon release. One eye narrowed, the other wide, selecting his target.
Shards of earth were bubbling out from the grind material, the orb getting large, a foot in diameter... a scattershot weapon. He was hoping for a shrapnel effect.
Its not like he cared for any of Shanto's lower ranks... it was his JOB to kill the cougars. NEver said whoever got in the way was an issue. His ears folded back, the almost magnetic field-like attack fluxxed, and imploded once more, squeezing all the rock as tight together asd possible, a mix of dirt, shards, chunks of earth, cobbles, pebbles, and stone.
He suddenly released, his jaws expanded slowly, and closed, cutting off his spiritual energy to the magic. This generated a strong kinetic energy, which LAUCNHED the rocks forward.
The tight ball of death crackled loudly, whisking through the sky, and suddenly BOOM, it hit the ground, having a very large, grenade-like effect.
It had been aimed at the few cougars at the center of the battle formation. Even if it was a mix of claws and teeth, it knew it's target. Whether it made a direct hit would be... all it's target's problem. Those AROUND the blast radius had their own problems... shrapnel could become a very big issue rather quickly.

This was certainly not going to be one of those long, drawn out wars which expands over several battles and lasts anywhere from a month to several years. It was not over something such as territory or dominance. This fight had one purpose - that one group would kill each member of the other so as never to worry about them again. It would probably last no longer than a few hours.
Already there were casualties, multiple wolves attacking one cougar as fit the proportions and in the tangled array of fur and blood were strewn bodies and various parts. By the end of it, who knew just who would be standing and who would be fallen.
It seemed Tiberius' attacks would help shorten the span of time this battle might last, being as he was able to be on the outside while the cougars were preoccupied with different opponents. Vines rose up from the ground and ensnared prey, leaving them roaring and struggling to escape. Each creature fought with what they could. Yet again they were not expecting the attack Tiber released and the sound of growls and yelps came into the air as the shrapnel device exploded, sending pebbles and dirt flying at terrifying speeds and penetrating bodies, certain to damage if not destroy vital organs.
Shanto and the cougar leader continued to engage in combat, blood dripping and matting their fur from clear tears in the skin. There would be a permanent scar over Shanto's eye after the battle, and the cougar leader would have several of his own. They both got hit with a couple of flying rocks though having lost some momentum being on the farther side from the shrapnel, yet still felt the effects. But Shanto knew he could not become distracted or else it would be his loss.
Aside from the cougar leader, only two others in his group remained. Under normal circumstances, a leader would realize he had lost, perhaps. But there are some who fight to the very end. And the cougar leader had only one goal. As long as it was accomplished, it would be a victory for him, privately. To kill Shanto. To finish the business he should have long before. But unknowing to him, in the end, he would certainly fall himself, regardless of any other outcome.

His wings spread, and again closed. It was time for the finale... and he needed to be able to leave... and quickly. He turned, pacing back and forth, all the while his eyes locked on one area. Shanto, and the Cougar's position.
He was looking for the best place to kick off a game ender. And it was a good thing the fight was seperated. Afterall... if neccasary, he couldnt RISK killing off anyone else.
He had one weapon that could either end the one on one... or bring it directly to him. Besides... Tiberius had no loyalties... Shanto would surely understand that if when he entered the fight... getting in his way wouldnt be a hospitible idea.
"I hope you can fly...", he rumbled, and crouched, facing the smaller battle, his claws spreading outward, and gripping the earth... enough for one close by to FEEL the earth spirit beside the dark male, readying to bellow a very powerful attack... this would bring the fight... to Tiber... he'd meet them half way.
"GĂ«linti.", he rumbled. A pulse, green, wide, and very strong, pumped along the rocks, travelling downward in one swift movement... then another, followed by a third. The earth stayed still, and unmoving... until a long, crackling ROAR loomed out, and the ground unheaved, and began to travel DOWNWARD.
Tiberius loosened one very substantial surface of the mountainside... he had caused an avalanche. Rock, and debris came RUSHING down... to engulf the two other opponents.

OOC: Having a fight on moving chunks of rock as we approach the bottom of the huge volcano xD... it would be fun. Ya know? Imagine dodging rocks, while the ones under you are moving, and overturning slowly amidsta rockslide?

As the battle raged on, the two leaders' focus had narrowed to just the two of them, only vaguely around of the surrounding events. That was about to change however as they felt the ground shift beneath their paws. The cougar leader's ears went flat and a low growl rumbled in his throat.
The landslide was effective, the last cougars suddenly losing their footing as the ground caved beneath them and rolling, battered and buried beneath earth and rock. Some of the remaining wolves were buried as well, though the ones who could take wing did so, even helping some of their comrades who couldn't fly.
Finally, was Shanto, who took wing immediately, for his own survival. But revenge still had a hold of his heart, and before the landslide could be the death of his opponent, he took advantage of the brief distraction, lunging toward the cougar from the air. 'You die!' he thought as lightning cackled sending an electric shock through the cougar's body from Shanto's claws as well as pumping the cougar's veins with poison.
He saw the dimming eyes and was satisfied, a smirk on his lips as he pushed off from the cougar, plunging him into the tumbling rock as he flew above. In an instant, he took in the results from the battle, seeing the casualties. His group had been cut in half. Finally, his eyes settled on Tiberius and breathing heavily, he could feel the mixture within his heart raging. On one hand, the old wolf had been a key element in their victory. But he had almost lost his revenge to the other, and that was unforgiveable. The whole point of this battle was to settle an old score, pay back for the deaths of his loved ones. That had all almost been ripped away, never to be able to come back. If he hadn't of acted quickly, he would have lost his chance.
All this happened in Shanto's mind in seconds, and just as soon as the cougar was falling beneath the rocks, Shanto lunged at Tiberius. There were other motives behind his attack as well, and his teeth and claws sought the old wolf's flesh.
Only this new fight was in his mind now.

Tiber had entered the landslide fight almost seconds after Shanto switched gears... he knew Shanto had weakened, the Cougar did his job well, and Tiber didn't have a single thing to do with it!
He connected claw for claw, but a harsh beat of Tiber's wings gave him a momentus advantage(He pushed harder.), in an attempt to get Shanto back onto the still harshly occuring Landslide. Tiberius didn't speak much upon this, only a chuckle arose from his throat.
He was trying to get Shanto back on his own turf... a place where he could very well hold an advantage over the obviously weakened wolf leader.
"Tiime... to die...", he announced softly, drullingly, with much deep, inner intolerance.
---
OOC: Alright before we continue the rockslide is STILL moving >>... But i want to make sure you're okay with continuing the fight WHILE its happening, as in we are still ON the moving rocks... because Im sorry, I seem to be getting the vibe that you dont understand what I was getting at... no offense of course ^^' Im just... eh-making observations...

Okay... sorry again for my misunderstandings x.x;;
iC:
Shanto met Tiberius evenly, his blood pumping with adrenaline and thirst for another's precious life-giving liquid. He plummeted with Tiber's force, and then shoved back as he was nearing the rocks, paws finding ground on a rather large chunk of earth. His eyes glimmered, fangs bared, a rumble resounding in his throat. It seemed Tiberius thought Shanto would be also falling to his death. Perhaps it had been his plan all along. But all that didn't matter right at this second. Only the battle between the two.
The sound of electricity popping sounded as it rose off the tips of his fur though was hardly audible with the crashing of rocks and dirt together over the landscape. A rumble sounded above, indistinguishable from the thunder the earth created and suddenly a bolt of lightening shot down, aiming for Tiberius' body, Shanto's aim to unsettle his opponent. After which, he would lunge at Tiberius again, the rock which he had been riding plummeting below as Shanto sought footing on a higher up piece of earth.
Poisonous fumes rose from his paws and vaporized from his mouth. Any wound he landed would send poison, even a small dose, into Tiberius' blood stream.
If Shanto were successful in getting enough poison within Tiber's old body, he would be able to manipulate him to a certain degree. True, the older wolf seemed strong of mind. So, in all likelihood, the control would only be for brief moments, perhaps to distract Tiberius, or to slow down his attacks, if he made any physical ones, of course.
If he were unsuccessful, well, Shanto would keep going at it, leaping from falling rocks to higher ones, lunging at Tiber, seeking to meet his flesh with tooth and claw, and lightening also.

OOC: Relirah, dont forget. >.O Your character is assumed wounded here correct? Afterall you did just have a detailed depiction of battle with a Cougar, its not like you just jumped around with Tiber snatching up health packs and whatnot. Afterall... the idea was to attack Shinto while he was near down-and-out.
---
The lightning bolt was the easiest to deal with, causing the earth beneath him, giving him an edge not only to battle Shinto on his own turf... but also to keep him more mobile.
Tiber seemed to only clash with his long claws, mostly to deflect Shinto's attack. Behind them near mid combat, the rocks rose, going to crush them, but with a heavy beat, and folding of his own wings, Tiber could navigate quite nimbly through his own attack, dodging the lightning strikes... He would wait until Shinto got too close. So for now.
When he slashed out with another attack, clashing with Shinto's own paws, he leapt back, up onto a near vertical shunk of rock, as large as an oak tree, "Uzkoski!", he gripped the rock. This caused it break, and attack forth, huge earth-born slugs, and shards of rock, as large as Elk, to as long as a Crocodile jutted outward in one very violent offensive... many of Tibers offensive attack were immediately lethal, and his defensive could become an issue when he needed them.
For now, Shinto needed to focus on the large rock shards, billowing out from the earth... going to skewer him like any other simple opponent.

OoC: No worries. Don't forget Shanto is also pumping with adrenaline XD While it appears as though he just keeps going, there is a strain on his body. Shanto is a very powerful, strong, and enduring wolf. So, it takes a lot to actually kill him. Also, it is not unrealistic for anyone near death to think they are still at their full game due to adrenaline or drive. Soldiers who have a missing limb or severe wounds will keep going to save a comrade. In this case, his drive isn't salvation but his own anger. Either way... Don't get too far ahead XD
While the two fought, the battle otherwise had ended, and now the wolves who had fought under Shanto's lead watched the battle as the two drifted on the landslide of rocks. Especially Vellina, who was fighting back the urge to get involved. On one paw, she knew her father wasn't really up for another whole battle; even she could see the wounds inflicted on his body. But on the other paw, she knew if she got involved her father would be angry. This was his fight... and if he was doomed then it was on his own head.
She hated it, and she wished she could do something to stop him. Didn't he know he was all she and Kashila had left? But he was blinded by his rage and blood thirst right now, and she knew it. It was at that point Tiberius issued his next move, formations jutting out from the rock he stood upon. She also saw her father rising in the air toward it. This was so stupid!
"Watch out!" she screamed, wondering if her father even heard her at all.
Shanto was indeed heading toward the rock Tiberius stood upon. He had been using his wings for momentum and to aid as he went from rock to rock so as not to falter and be crushed beneath the earth. At this point, he spread his wings, letting the wind force from the landslide carry him back slightly before he flapped and gained some height, now trying to land atop of the rock. But his wing caved, for a moment, him falling, if even for a moment, before he caught himself, landing roughly against the edge, right beside one of the giant shards Tiberius had created, a grunt escaping him as his claws sought a hold, paws grasping and body struggling to pull himself up on top.
Now would be Tiber's chance, for certain. To perhaps shove him off to his doom, or slit his throat right there. Or to even have mercy on his revenge-blackened heart. It was all in the old wolf's paws.

OOC: Ah yes, sry sry ^^' Im so used to getting caught with people who ignore those facts, so Im prone to forgetting some other factors myself.
---
Tiberius shifted, his wings swaying quickly, side to side to keep his balance. He leapt along the rocks, making a looping jump along some of the rocks to keep from being crushed himself.
And then, Shinto made his mistake. The big chiunk of earth he stood upon, and Shinto hung along for the ride to... he stepped, very carefully, striding to the edge as it moved, at LEAST thirty miles per hour downhill. His paw setting down on one of the shards, keeping his balance... and gazing down at Shinto, "Heheh...", he huffed that chuckle, "I think you get my point.", he called down to him. His wings spread widely, making very heavy flaps, readying to take off. He dove downward.
Tiber was the only one able to break his rockshards with ease, as they still kept hints of the magic used, he could form them to break in a certain place... all he needed to do was hit them. He flew, his wings even cracking, and breaking the stone apart, before his right set of claws, latched hard along Shinto's chest.
"If you are smart... You will not attack me.", he warned, gliding downward. The fight was over... And Shinto recieved mercy, but at a cost. Besides... if the younger male did slash out at him... he'd merely drop him into the more violent outer edge of the rockslide.
---
OOC: You should be able to understand why he chose mercy, right?
And he hasnt released Shinto yet.

OoC: Yea, I know what you mean DX This is actually the first time in a long time I've roleplayed a battle scene and didn't feel myself getting upset because the other person wasn't roleplaying fairly. I'm a huge rule-stickler... to the point of annoying others at times xD but I still love a good epic action scene!
Also, yes, I think so... haha I can be kind of slow sometimes so sometimes people can't hint.. they have to literally spell everything out or I don't get it DX but in this case I think I get it lol
Oh! One last thing.. sorry... but eh, well at first I thought maybe it was just at typo... but Shanto's name is not Shinto.. it's Shanto... <.<;; just thought I'd point that out... annyway....
iC:
Shanto's eyes were fierce, but he knew he'd lost. He accepted his fate proudly, knowing the situation well enough. He awaited the blow he was expecting, just envisioning the smirk on Tiberius' face. And he growled lowly at the feel of claws digging in his chest. Blood spilled further, matting his already filthy black coat as well as Tiber's paws. But what happened next was not what he had expected per say.
He hung limply, knowing better than to struggle, mostly because he didn't trust the older wolf's strength and thought if he was still, he'd have a less likelihood of being dropped or plummeting them both - though he hardly thought Tiber would let the latter happen either.
He was glad he had accomplished his goal for the day, and he supposed for now that was good enough.
Vellina stood entirely still as she watched the whole scenario, not as surprised that Tiberius spared her father. After all, she was the one who had recruited him and she didn't think he could be that bad. He had helped them after all.
Suddenly, she sprang forward at a run, hoping to be right there when they landed.
"Thank you.. Tiberius," she would say.

Tiber himself merely glided down toward the patch of earth Vel stood on, passing very low overhead, Shanto now hanging by his right arm. Tiber took another heavy wingbeat, a bit rabidly... flying upward, passing about six feet overhead.
"Keep him on a shorter leash for now.", he grumbled, lashing his arm out, and throwing/dropping Shanto rather brutishly to the ground beside Vel... before he careened upward, turning about slowly... and landing. His wings folded slowly, looking rather menacing all their own. His eyes narrowed lazily, "I've done my task... will continue later."
He raised his head slowly, "Hm...", he huffed, turning about, "If you need me, my dear... I will be amongst the rabble...", he began an approach one whoever was left from the hardfought victory...

Vel moved quickly to break her father's fall, some... his landing heavy as he landed on her, and then she moved to slide him off. The little wolfess stared down at him, a mixture of feelings within. She glanced at Tiber when he spoke, saying nothing for the moment. Her ears took in his words, she nodding only briefly before turning back to her father. It would take some time for him to heal... well for all of the remaining wolves actually.
Inside, she was thinking of how, for a moment, she had truly thought Shanto was going to be dead. All she would have left would be her sister... who hardly seemed to understand her whatsoever. Ugh. And she felt sadness at that possibility. But also, she felt anger at her father for being so bent on one thing and stupid. She felt relief and gladness at their victory. That this was finally over. That their thirst for revenge had been quenched.... or at least hers, perhaps for now. She felt also a sort of epiphany.. about the danger of being so set on a thirst for blood... the danger of losing sight of everything else.
Life was important, she couldn't forget that. Perhaps in a sense, she was starting to understand her sister's view. But she was still mad that Kashila didn't at least try to see her way. Vellina didn't know, of course, how wrong she was in that. But such an issue is for a later date.
Vellina left Shanto's side once she had made sure he was okay... relatively... and sought out Tiberius. "Why did you spare him?" she asked bluntly.
