Just Run {Thunder}

[Midnight]

Midnight lay wity her head on her paws in a tree. Today was pretty, quiet. She thought about life, happiness, and prey. Then her thoughts wandered to something else before coming to something she haas not expected: Thunder. She hadn't seen her a while, and wondered what she was doing. Then she had another thought. 'If I find Thunder, I'll probably fin Graal, too. Jumping from the tree, she padded through the forest, hop in to encounter Thunder on the way.

Thunder lay atop a branch like a panther though her body did nothing her mind was racing. She was trying to figure out how Graal came to love her. So far she was mostly clueless. She tried to base it off of her experiences but found hardly any reason behind it. With a sigh she gave up for now and decided to look around. When she spotted Midnight she gave her a friendly smile and leaped down from the tree. "Hello Midnight." She said. Oh come ooooooooon! She thought as she noticed her accent was still there. She began steadying her mind to try and remove it.

[Midnight]

"Oh stop," Midnight scolded gently. "Your accent is fine, and will always be in my presense." She sensed something was bothering her. She when to her and touched her nose to hers, laying down by her. "What's the matter?"

[thunder]

"Many things are on my mind." Thunder's accented voice hit the air as she laid down next to Midnight. Mostly Graal but maybe.. "I'm thinking of possibly going back to my homeland for a few days.." Her voice clearly showed that she was very undecided about going back home. The confusion is eating away at me... She looked at Midnight and continued "I'm also confused with Graal and how he feels the way he does. Italia is far but I know a fast route there and back so that the whole trip should only take five days." The first sentance was mumbled quietly but the second was very clear. Her ears tilted back slightly as she finished "What do you think?" Her red eyes turned to Midnight and the question hung in the air.

[Midnight]

Midnight shrugged while still laying down. "If it helps you gather your thoughts, then I think you should go." Toying with the idea in her head, she offered, "I'll go with you if you want me to..." she wouldn't mind going. "If you need to just get it off your mind though, this will help..." she added standing and walking a little ways away, then stopped and turned towards Thunder, waiting. 'Just ask me. Ask me where we're going....' Midnight thought.

Thunder stood and seeing the message in Midnight's eyes narrowed hers defiantly and said nothing. She then stuck out her tongue and brought her head forwards childishly. The goofy grin added to the silent teasing. Pulling her tongue back in she coked her head to the side in a silent message that Midnight could lead the way. Now, Thunder's advantage here was if Midnight tried the same thing she could break her ears and give her the worst headache ever. Not the fairest of odds but hey noise was her game. Had always been and will continue to be. Her grin grew slightly evil at the idea. Huh. Who knew I could change moods so quickly... No. Don't. Laugh. Until. She. Glares. Or. Challenges. You. At. Your. Own. Game. Otherwise. Stay. Silent. The choppy mental statement kept her only slightly in check. Soon as Midnight tried. Well. Who knew? Wait a minute. She knew.

[Midnight]

Midnight smiled. It was working. She knew if she moved to lead or attack she would be smothered. So she did the thing least expected.

She rolled over on her back.

[thunder]

Of course Thunder decided to go against her roll. She dove under Midnight into the sandy area of ground allowing her into it. She began shaking around so Midnight had to get up. Quickly she popped back out on the other side. As if to smite her she then shook. Getting lots of sand out of her lots of fur. All. Over. The. Place. She then smoothed her fur and looked back at Midnight.

[Midnight]

"Clever!" She said. She sprung out of the way of the flying sand then turned and tried to spring on top of her. If she succeeded, she would simply try to weigh her down with her small weight, then jump on her again and bother her ears. If not, she would stand some ways away and wait for her move.

[thunder]

Thunder dodged easily. Then grinned evilly, she knew Midnight could try again since she was so close. But the closer you are to something, the louder the noise. She began laughing, at first it was somewhat breathy but then it escalated into ear-piercing short high shrieks of laughter. It hardly hurt her ears anymore, but it used to. She could do this all day. She cocked her head to the side and grinned as she laughed in that twisted insane high pitched way. She stepped closer to Midnight. I can go deep or high, I can shriek or roar. I can boom or whistle. I have no reason to attack physically when I can make sound. I have my name for a reason. She thought.

[Midnight]

"Oh, god, enough with that." she said. She batted her head with her paws, right on the ears. Launching herself in the air, she made an unmistakable motion to the south, and called down, "Meet me at the first stream you see!" and took off. When she got there, she studied the place. It had a waterfall, and a deep end at the end of the waterfall. Then, it had a stream-Midnights favorite kind- with small river pebbles in it running into the small pool.
She dove in the deep, cool water and was content.

[thunder]

Thunder shook her head and darted off like a missile. Racing ahead and climbing up a tree just before Midnight arrived and dove in. "I win!" She called out satisfied that she had smothered her friends attempts to not be smothered in the first place. She then sat up like a cat watching a fish. The only difference here was that she was a wolf and Midnight was much bigger than a fish. Thunder snickered..

[Midnight]

'Oh, okaaa. You wanna catch somethin' huh?' she thought. So she dove down to the bottom of the pool, then pushed off with her back legs, launching to the surface. She exploded out of the water and tried to wrap her paws around Thunders' neck. If it worked, then she dragged her into the pool, then swam around, watching her.

[thunder]

"Good try but the tree's a bit high. Almost caught a leaf though." She remarked. Not only could she be loud, she could get stuff everywhere and be loud at the same time. Grinning she leaped off the branch and down into the pool making a splash that covered the whole pool. She then rose to the surface and began making repetitive high pitched noises and random low growls as she swam.
