Caelestis
It was rare for the slender wolf to find himself away from his brother's side. He wouldn't be now if Amadeus wasn't such a dreadful bore. Everything was hunting and scouting the border and dealing with pack diplomacy. Cael felt that with every day that passed, Ammy became even more boring. If you had asked the Caelestis of a year prior if he thought it possible he would have denied it. Yet, here he stood alone just to keep from being put to sleep.
"It's okay, Caelestis," he told himself. "You're enough excitement all on your own! You don't need that smelly snowbrain." It was a lie, of course. The slim creature would be lost without his brother. Each would be lost without the other, if truth were to be told. Good luck getting either to admit to it, though.
For now the delicate looking arctic wolf stood on the bank of the creek and peered down into the gently trickling water. There was a thin dusting of snow on the frozen ground and it lent a sort of magical quality to the area. At least, Caelestis thought so, and in the end wasn't that all that really mattered? His black lips curled up into a grin that let his pink tongue loll out. His breath puffed out in a visible vapor before him and those dark amber eyes watched a few lazy fish swim just beneath the surface.
"I bet Tristy would love it if I brought her a nice fish." He dipped his muzzle and sniffed and snuffled a few times. The delicate male had never really tried to catch a fish before. Still, bears did it all the time so it couldn't be that hard. Everyone knew how stupid bears were. He drew in a breath and shoved his face down into the creek suddenly, snapping fruitlessly in the water as he wagged his tail wildly behind him.
