Appearance: Navanic stands three feet four inches tall at the shoulder, and his black and red feathered wings have a span of fifteen feet from tip to tip. His fur is primarily black, but his face, back, sides, tail, and legs all bear fiery red markings that glow like hot coals, as does the red on his wings. This glow is present at a steady brightness at all times, including when he is asleep, and Navanic cannot dim or brighten it. His eyes are a dark red, and his abnormally long claws are the color of dark smoke.
When in flight, the markings on Navanic's wings leave long, intangible trails of red light. How long these trails are depends on how fast he is flying.
Personality:
Friendly, carefree, and reckless in the extreme, Navanic lives life to the fullest, and then some. He'll try just about anything once, especially if it involves danger, and has been known to seek out, and brave crossing, the most hostile places in existence simply for the fun of it. This is the main reason he's made his home in the Fire Wells; the intense volcanic activity in the region makes life interesting on an almost daily basis.

-Flame Blast(Breath Weapon): Navanic can shoot a searing wave of fire from his jaws, igniting everything in it's path. The blast only has a range of ten feet, but the flames are hot enough to melt rock, and can burn through a stone wall in a matter of moments. Because he must exhale to use this attack, he can only hold it for a few seconds before hyperventilating.
-Flame Ray(Breath Weapon): Less powerful than Flame Blast, Flame Ray is an inch-wide beam of fiery energy with a twenty yard range. While not hot enough to melt rock, it can burn through wood at mid-range, and will severely burn an opponent if it hits. Like Flame Blast, he can only sustain the ray for a few seconds before he hyperventilates.
-Fire-Wall: Forms a spherical barrier of fire around Navanic that blocks all melee attacks, and most magical attacks, although light-, fire- and heat-based attacks are not effected. Anyone without fire resistance hitting the barrier with a melee attack is instantly burned. Navanic must lower the barrier to attack.
-Fire Bomb(Breath Weapon): Navanic charges and fire a ball of compressed plasma from his jaws that explodes on impact, resulting in a concussive shock-wave that can shatter bones at up to ten feet and leaving a similarly-sized crater in the ground. Due to it's poor horizontal range, Navanic uses this almost exclusively as an air-to-ground attack, although he also uses it against opponents that have holed up in caves or tunnels, as it's almost impossible to avoid resulting explosions in such tight quarters, or the ensuing cave-in. Navanic can only use Fire Bomb one every five minutes, and if the bomb is hit while he is charging it, it will explode premeturely, knocking him out for several hours.
-Flash Bomb(Breath Weapon): Similar to Fire Bomb, except that the detonation is silent, and results in a blinding flash of light that does no damage. Navanic can use this attack once every five minutes.
-One with the Flames(Passive Immunity): Navanic is immune to fire- and heat-based effects.

-Aerial Ace: Navanic is a skilled flier, and incredibly difficult to catch on the wing. He can't out-maneuver opponents that are less than half his size, however.
-Falcon's Speed: Navanic is capable of flying at extreme speeds, although he cannot maneuver very well when doing so, and can only maintain such a pace for a few minutes before tiring.
-Lyrebird: Navanic can mimic an impressive array of sounds, although it usually takes him a few tries.
Biography:
Navanic's life would make even the most hard-core thrill-seeker envious. He's flown through volcanic eruptions and hurricanes, braved blizzards and sandstorms, and explored caves so deep that the rocks glowed with the heat of the planet's core. It's really not a question of what he has done, but a question of if there's anything he hasn't. Now he's the Fire Wells, looking to make a home for himself out of what he describes as "one of best damn places ever."
