It was the midst of the night in the great city of Thor, and in most, calm cities children would be tucked in bed, parents reading quietly or in bed themselves, the night quiet except for perhaps a flicker of light in a window here and there. But not this city. No. Here, the night was just getting started, loud music blaring from various buildings along the street, lights flashing, people shouting. A gunshot could be heard followed by sirens in the distance. Smoke billowed up and darkened the already cloudy sky and in dark alleys lurked men with guns just waiting for an unlucky passerby to mug, to rob, to rape.
She was more than accustomed to the city; after all, it was practically her home here. Wherever she desired. And tonight was hers. She was in the middle of the dance floor at one of her regular clubs, hands in the air, hips skillfully swinging back and forth to the beat of the drums booming over the speakers. The disco ball on the ceiling swirled changing hues of light around the room, illuminating her dark figure before it was nothing but a silhouette, then illuminated again. Her head beat, her braids swaying with it, and every part of her body was maneuvered with skill. The golden hoop earrings jingled as they bounced against her neck and loose strands of hair clung to her face.
Suddenly, she felt someone bump into her, messing up her rhythm and her eyes opened, brilliant red-orange in color, though hidden behind a pair of dark sunglasses. Still, there was a faint glow giving away that her eyes weren't normal. "Wha' tha f'ck!" she shouted to be heard over the loud rave music. What had met her gaze was a skinny girl, trying to bust her own move and show off to a bunch of guys. Zatheena rolled her eyes. "Yo' bettah wa'ch whea yo' dance, bi'ch!" she spat, glaring. The girl just glanced up at her with a smirk.
"Oh, is the trash speaking? Forgive me for interrupting your slut slither."
Zee smirked, her eyes gleaming. Was this girl seriously challenging her? She was one of the best known dancers in this whole damn city! Fine, she'd give the whore a challenge. And whoop her petty little ass! She snapped her fingers, signalling the DJ and a new song started, a circle beginning to clear as some of the closer people grew interested, wanting to see what was going on and what would happen.
Zee started, easily picking up the rhythm of the song popping her hip and her boots creating dull thuds as her feet moved. She paused, stepping back slightly to let the other girl demonstrate what she had.
The other girl flicked her hair in a sassy manner and stepped out, busting a few moves of her own, swinging her arms in it and sliding before jamming her hips side to side, mostly revealing her body to get at the guys, a few of them whistling and cat-calling.
'Is tha' all ya got?' Zatheena thought to herself.
She stepped forward once more, easily joining in and now it was an all out duel, each girl bringing in their own creativity and style. Soon, it was clear just who was the better dancer as Zee took the crowd, them cheering her on and raising their drinks, some even starting to join in, the dance floor filling up with ravers once again. That's right. This was her floor.
But the little girl who challenged her wasn't done quite yet, using the crowd to hide it as she shoved her hip into Zee, causing the other to stumble slightly and then giggled, "Woops, I guess even you have your klutzy moments!" she said slyly, an innocent grin on her face. Zatheena, grabbed the girl by the shirt, shaking her roughly. "Yo' bish! Yo' messe' wit' t'e wrong g'rl to'night!" She was going to teach this girl a lesson about messing in her business.
She wished Rave were here. They always owned the night together. But it had been just her for a few days now and she couldn't wait for him to get back. Until then, she'd have a good ol' time on her own. Dancing where she pleased and kicking the asses of those who dared interfere with her.

((As long as this is still open))
Amanda flipped her pistol in her hand before examining it again. She really didn't need it... She had other ways of protection. But she wasn't sure how smart it would be to transform in such a populated area. Just as she wasn't sure how smart going through with her plan was. She was putting her life in danger, after all.
She put all thoughts of it out of her mind. She was going through with it, no matter what. This gang couldn't just kidnap her and disappear. It just wasn't possible. Amanda leaned over the edge of the rooftop she was standing on and examined the streets below. This was were she was captured a couple of months ago. This was were she would start her search.
She jumped down the side of the building into an alley, landing clumsily in a way that should have broken her legs. But thanks to the same gang she was hunting, she stood up just fine, though her bare feet were left with some scratches received from the fall. She walked out of the alley and onto the sidewalk.
Amanda stood in front of some nightclub, loud music blaring from its doors. This was exactly where she had stood that night. When her life ended. When this one began. She shook her head and entered the club, the music pumping, the vibrations echoing inside of her. She skittered of the dance floor and leaned on a wall in the corner of the club. There, she scoped out the room, noting windows, exits and everything in between. The dance floor was currently occupied by two girls dancing. She looked past them and for any suspicions character. Of course, she found none.
"Hey, emo-chick, wanna dance," some obnoxious drunk guy shouted at her.
"I'm goth!" Amanda shouted back, frustrated he couldn't tell by the make-up. But he did hold a point. She was the only one in the club not dancing. She walked past the guy, and mingled with the crowd. She started bouncing with the beat, nothing big, just something to get the attention off of her. She was in enemy territory as far as she was concerned.
More action seemed to happen around the two girls, and some more people crowded around. One of the men in the crowd had a jacket, and on that jacket was a symbol, one she'd seen a thousand times while she had been kidnapped. She attempted to get closer, but was pushed around with the shifting crowd. Somehow she got pushed into the two girls, tripping over them and falling to the floor.
"Damn," she muttered. Her cover was blown. The guy with the jacket stared straight at her, and then pulled out his cell phone. She had found her guy, alright. But he was calling in reinforcements.

OoC: Definitely still open! I'm so glad someone responded
Edit: I wasn't sure if Amanda would be the type to run or attempt to kill the guy before reinforcements arrived so left it hanging XD
iC:
Her eyes were ablaze behind her sunglasses, and despite the darkness, the girl in her grasp could tell she had taken it too far. Zee shoved her roughly, the other girl hitting the wall with a thud and her breath came out in a gasp. She sprang back: it would take more than one hit to get rid of her that easily. She wasn't losing...
As she was lunging for Zee again, suddenly another girl crashed into them and fell to the floor. Zee raised a brow, looking down at Amanda. Her first instinct was to say something, but she saw that the girl's attention was elsewhere and she looked in the direction, immediately spotting the guy. It was about to turn into a hell hole in here. And it was clear the girl who had stumbled was going to be at the center of it. Normally she wouldn't get involved. If someone got herself in a pile of shit it was her own responsibility to dig herself out. But she was up for a little adventure, she supposed. Anything different from this realm of boredom she had found herself in recently.
All this happened in Zee's mind in a second. Flashing her gaze to the skinny little whore who had first challenged her on the dance floor, reaching back and giving her a good slug which flung her body into the crowd, landing roughly on the floor. The little blonde flipped her hair, a snarl on her face. But before she could get back up, Zee reached down, attempting to grab Amanda. If she were successful, "C'mon..." she would mutter to her, giving a last glance to the man in the jacket.
If she were unsuccessful, she would say the same thing only more. "Le's los' th'se gu's," and a slight smirk would be on her lips. She hoped whoever this chick was would understand she was trying to help - not hand her over. But you never know with some people and she briefly remembered the last time she had gotten involved with something like this. Oh well... no time for that now...

Amanda was still thinking of what to do about the man when one of the girls helped her off of the floor.
"Thanks," she muttered, readjusting her leather jacket and dusting dirt off her jeans. She then made up her mind. She needed to bail, yes, but this man could be the lead she'd been looking for.
Amanda quickly transformed into her bat form and flew on top of the man. People were screaming around her now; not everyday you saw a seven-foot bat-beast attack someone for no apparent reason. She grabbed the man in her claws and shrieked in his face before demanding,
"TELL ME WHO YOU WORK FOR!" He didn't say anything in response, and Amanda shook him violently.
"Damn," she muttered, "He's unconscious."
It was then that back up arrived-for him, not her. They all wore insignias like the man did, and they all had guns. Amanda changed to her armored form and jumped in front of the girl, grunting as she took the full force of the bullets. But she was fairly confident her skin could take it.
"No time for questions," she said to the girl, and reached over to pick her up. If Zee let her pick her up, then Amanda would run out of the club at top speed and stop in an alley a couple of miles away from the club. If Zee refused her help, well, then Amanda will leave her to fight of the gang alone.

Zee was not too surprised when the girl seemed to bounce back, dusting herself of as if nothing had happened. Suddenly, she had changed and was attacking the man with the jacket from before... well that was unexpected. Most of the dance floor had cleared, some people shrieking, some calling the police, some fleeing and some just ordering more drinks, watching to see what happened next. They hardly mattered at this point. Zee couldn't help a light smirk. Now this was more up her alley. Or at least the type of stuff she was more accustomed to. Alright, she was intrigued. Also, it didn't take her long to figure out the issue between the man and the girl hadn't just sprung up out of nowhere.
Suddenly, the reinforcements arrived and the girl was diving in front of her, suddenly blocking a round of flying bullets. Okay, she was grateful for that. She supposed since the girl had so readily protected her, there hadn't been need for any of her own stunts... plus dodging bullets was messy. This just made it easier.
Once the first round ceased, the girl seized the chance and tried to pick her up, suddenly bursting out into the street faster than any normal human. Well, it was quite clear this girl wasn't normal. That was fine because neither was Zee. Although most were rather unaware of that fact.
Despite the fact that Amanda was traveling at an enormous speed, she might notice along the way that Zee felt rather light for a human. In the short time span it took to get from the club to the alley, Zee's eyes glowed, her psychic powers causing her to levitate making it easier to be carried. Fact: she hated being handled - or even touched really without fair warning from anyone besides Rave. But she supposed it was extraneous circumstances and this was a girl... not a man. So it was slightly less of an issue.
But since they were safe - at least for the moment, Zee wasted no time. "Ok'y... 'bviou'ly ther' wa' no tim' fer quest'ons th'n. No' ther's a little. Wha's goin' on?" Okay, Zee did not realistically expect this girl to trust her just because she'd offered a little help. But she hoped she'd at least give her a small chance. She was impersonal... but curious and if helping out meant kicking some bad guy butt and having some fun - she was all for it.

Amanda ran forward with the human, though she noted by the time she stopped, the girl was lighter then expected. When she stopped the girl spoke up. "Ok'y... 'bviou'ly ther' wa' no tim' fer quest'ons th'n. No' ther's a little. Wha's goin' on?" Amanda sighed. "Do you want me to start with when I was kidnapped and experimented on or when I became a freak? They actually have different start points." Amanda leaned against a building. "As you can see, I'm not... Normal. This gang, group, whatever. They altered me to be this... 'Weapon,' and, well, that doesn't fly with me."Amanda said slowly. She looked at the girl. She seemed so light just a second ago... "What's your story? There's something up about you, and it's not just that you're a killer on the dancefloor."
((... What color do you use for Zee's text?))

OoC: It's a hex code: FF6633 XD

Zatheena listened as the girl indicated two ways to answer the question. Obviously she wasn't going into all the details - understandably, perhaps. But she quickly shifted the attention back toward Zee's direction. The black woman had started to smirk, but with the last comment her face became solemn, her eyes glaring behind her glasses for a moment. "Tha's whut yo' tink I am?" she asked, "A killur o't ta dance?" She laughed softly to herself.
She was far from it. She didn't want to murder anyone coldly - unless in self defense or if they were asking for it. It had been a long time since she had actually killed someone - not that it had never happened. Still, she supposed her name and face were on wanted posters and the cops of this city had her on their watch. That didn't mean she was actually guilty of most of the crimes they had charged against her. She wasn't. For many of them, she had simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time - trying to help someone out and getting caught in the crossfires.
Finally, she looked straight at the other girl, removing her glasses. This was something Zatheena hardly ever did - for anyone, ever. Except for Rave. And for intimidation. This was neither of those cases. Her eyes were brilliant orange and red and yellow, almost seeming to glow from within her skull. Obviously not normal. "Yo' tink yo' dee onleh freak o't der?" she asked. "Yo' not alon', jus' ha' some ba' luck." She paused, "An' t'ere ar' maneh who yo' migh' consider 'freaks'."
She waited a moment, watching for the other girl's reaction. She could understand why this girl was so vengeful toward this group, perhaps having lived a normal life before. Zatheena hoped eventually whoever this girl was would learn the brighter side of her abilities. But that would take time. She felt somewhat sorry for her - yea, once again trying to help someone out would probably get her caught up in something she was not guilty for. But what the hell. It's not like one more thing on her record could really do so much damage. Well.. except making Rave royally pissed. But Rave wasn't here. She was calling her own shots. For now.
Zee, stuck out her hand, "I'm Zatheena. If yo' wan', I'd beh mo' dan happeh ta help yo' git yo' vengeance."

"Tha's whut yo' tink I am? A killur o't ta dance?"
Amanda lowered her head. She didn't answer. She didn't have a correct answer. She was admittedly guessing her way through half of this. Never before had she truly been alone. Never before had she felt so aloof from everything.
She examined her hand, it's color a dark gray. Not normal. The skin was as tough as leather, maybe even stronger. Not normal. No, she doubted anyone would ever truly understand. To have a perfect little normal life, and then have it stripped away. That's how the world worked, though, wasn't it? People took advantage of each other. It's just the way things worked.
When Amanda looked back up, the girl had taken her glasses off. Her eyes were... beautiful. Brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow. Amanda stared at her, mesmerized.
"Yo' not alon', jus' ha' some ba' luck." She paused before continuing, "An' t'ere ar' maneh who yo' migh' consider 'freaks'." She stuck out her hand."I'm Zatheena. If yo' wan', I'd beh mo' dan happeh ta help yo' git yo' vengeance."
Amanda accepted her hand.
"Amanda. And I would be MORE than happy for the help." She lowered her head, before admitting, "I can't do close to anything on my own."
She let go of Zatheena's head, looking over the city. "Here's what I know about them. They're a criminal organization, and their symbol seems to be," Amanda thought back to the man's jacket, before replying, "Some kind of curved line. Well, technically a curved line is a 'C,' but, I don't know what it means." Amand sighed and put her head in her hands. "What am I doing? I don't know anything. I'm not gonna get anywhere."

The dark woman observed the other and her movements. Finally, the girl looked at her - and Zee hoped she understood. She seemed to, because she introduced herself and accepted the offered hand. It was settled then. Also, perhaps Amanda might consider Zee a secret weapon. Because the organization probably knew nothing about her. Zatheena replaced her glasses on her face, not wanting anyone else seeing her eyes, and listened as Amanda gave what information she did know.
Well it was a start.
She stepped forward also, standing beside the other girl. True: the whole city was filled with criminals, gangs, etc. And it would be difficult to figure them out based only on a symbol. But Zee had her methods... and her connections.
"Yuh kno' sometin... dat's a sta't," she responded to Amanda. "C'mon... le's see whut we kin fin' o't," she told her, leaving the alley and moving in a new direction. A few blocks down, she slipped into a building, nothing visible except two sets of stairs: one up and one down. The one leading up clearly led to a platform with a wooden door. Zee took that one, slipping through the door slowly and beckoning for Amanda to follow. "Jace..." she called down the hallway before them.
((Okay so here I'm bringing in another character but you're free to roleplay him if you wanna make him say/do something toward the plot XD))
A someone shorter man stepped out of a door closer to them, wearing a grey suit. He had dark hair and pale skin with a slightly dark color of brown eyes. "Sshh..." he said first, his eyes glancing between Zatheena and Amanda, finally focusing on the gaze behind Zee's glasses. "What?" he asked demandingly.
Zatheena explained in soft tones. "Ah nee' info'matiun.." she told the man whose name was Jace. "What else is new?" he asked with a roll of his eyes. "Dis girl nee's ta track do'n a group wit a 'C' symbul.." she explained, jambing her thumb in Amanda's direction.
