Mysteria was wandering through her new home. The Akeru pack had welcomed her in, but Mysteria still was certain that she would always be welcome. Having been alone for so long, she was wary of this sudden acceptance.
The wolf-dog let out a sigh, padding on through the forest.

Trees rustled overhead, the product of a light breeze drifting through the area. Their leaves turned the solid sunlight into speckles and splotches on the forest floor that danced around in the wind with the leaves, some patches seeming to go in and out when what was blocking the sun's full force moved. The scurrying sounds of small prey gathering nuts and berries could be heard if one listened closely, but they were far enough away that their scents were drowned in that of the vegetation growing all around. It was a beautiful time of day in a beautiful place.
A slender blue wolf with rock-like wings glided over the forest floor, chocolate eyes shining with delight. Everything about her was slender, delicate, even. She moved with accurate, precise grace with every step, though her beauty was marred by the scar on her muzzle. In fact, when looking at her, it was what the eyes of most wolves kept going back to. Still, Neveah kept her confidence and pressed onwards, as always.
She began to think about things, this new pack and new world and such. It was all so overwhelming. Just because she was used to living solitary didn't mean she wanted to stay that way, and as much as she loved being around other wolves, their magic frightened her--especially since she had none--and she felt like an outcast. She supposed that, until she finally figured out what her magic was--if she had any at all--she'd be stuck feeling this way. But it wasn't all bad. After all, it was much better than being alone.
She heard the sigh of another animal nearby, one that did not sound like prey. "Who's there?" Neveah called out, more excited than afraid.

Mysteria pricked her ears. Another voice had called out, "Who's there?"
The small white-and-gray wolf-dog let out a soft yip to warn the wolf that she was coming, then padded towards the voice. She soon came across a blue wolf with brown eyes and rock-like wings. Mysteria looked up at the she-wolf, her curled tail wagging nervously. She lowered her bicolored eyes with respect. "It's just me ma'am." The wolf-dog said, her voice rough from months and years of silence.
She barely even noticed the wolf's scar - she'd seen too many and earned too many to be surprised by them anymore. What did interest her was the wolf's wings and unnatural coloring. Forcing herself not to stare, she continued. "Are you part of Akeru?"

Rema watched as her brother, Aviratite, glided through the sky, showing off. He twirled and spun in circles. "You are such a pup" she told to her older brother as he zoomed past her. He stopped in mid air and looked as his sister. "As if your any better." He called back, circling around her. "Come on, it's fun." He said , trying to convince her. "It's like you just got your wings yesterday. " He flapped his wings in response, and she watched as a feather began to fall slowly. "How come i have to babysit my older brother?" She growled under her breath. It's only been a couple of days since they left their homeland of Shinkou. Rema spotted a stream below. "Come on, let's get some water." She said before folding her wings close to her, making the trip down take less time. When she was an inch or two away from the ground, she spead her wings, landing gracefully next to the water. Aviratite took his time, deciding if he should land on solid ground or into the lake. 'I think i'll crash into the water just to annoy her.' He flattened his wings against his side and sped down towards the stream. As he got close to the water he started to realize that it was shallow. He was going so fast, it was impossible to stop or even slow down. He landed with a crash, the water splashing everywhere. Rema took a step back, not expecting him to go this far. Her fur was soaked. She shook her body from head to tail, but was still drenched. Aviratite sat in the middle of the stream, dazed. He shook his to get rid of the pounding. Rema took a step forward the began to laugh. "Serves you right." She said with a smirk on her face. He stood up and shook of some of the water. He began to walk out of the of the stream, but collapsed when he put pressure oh his right fore paw. Rema stopped laughing when she realized he was hurt. She helped him on the dry land, then went in search for help. "There has to be a healer somewhere around here." She thought outloud.

Neveah heard a yip and the sound of another creature coming her way, a small one by wolf standards. She was interested, nervous, but not afraid. Well, perhaps a little afraid that the first impression wouldn't go over so well, but that was something she could handle, at least. The only thing Neveah was really truly afraid of, and the coming pawsteps sounded nothing like a bear, and if it was, it was a small one. Besides, bears didn't yip. Or did they? Neveah never wanted to stick around one long enough to know.
Sure enough, the stranger was not a bear but some kind of wolf-dog, with one gold eye and one blue eye. She resembled a wolf in coloring, and perhaps some in her tail maybe, but the length of her fur and the build of her body reminded Neveah of the dogs she'd seen before coming to Shinkou that would herd sheep for the humans. Her dog-like appearance wasn't a bad thing. In all honesty, Neveah thought she was quite pretty, even despite the scars covering her body. They were like Neveah's own and made her feel more at ease.
"Are you part of Akeru?" the wolf dog asked. Her voice seem raw, unused, as if she were trying it out for the first time in ages. Neveah felt sorry for the poor thing.
"Yes--but only recently joined," she added rather hastily. "And what about yourself?" she asked. "I don't think I've seen you around before, but like I said, I'm new so I don't know everyone yet. Whatever the case, it's nice to meet you." Neveah finished with a big, wolfish smile that was her usual way of saying hello.
Suddenly, she heard a loud splash coming from somewhere to the east. "Do you think we should check that out?" Neveah, with eyes now alert and ears perked up, asked the wolf-dog.

Mysteria wagged her tail nervously. "I just joined 'em too ma'am. I ain't been here long enough to meet everybody yet either." The wolf's grin made her feel a bit more at ease. She began to let her nervously raised back fur lay flat. Her initial nervousness begin to fade in the face of the wolf's friendliness. Mysteria found herself instinctively liking this wolf.
Mysteria's non-floppy ear pricked at the sound of a distant splash. She heard the wolf ask, "Do you think we should check that out?"
She nodded slightly. "Yes." She began to pad away towards the noise, looking back to see if the she-wolf was following her.

Rema ran past trees and bushes as she searched for help. He eyes were filled with fear, if she didn't find a healer he may never be able to walk again. Sure he could just fly, but what about those days when it's impossible to fly, then what would he do. She began to slow down and began to talk to herself. "I knew we shouldn't of left home." She gave out a snort, thinking that there was no turning back now.
Up ahead she could hear two wolves approaching. She could tell they weren't that close because her hearing was better than a land-born wolf. She had to be able to not only see, but hear prey from the sky above. She kept on walking until she could see the two wolves up ahead. Now that she had found some wolves, what would she say. She decided she would just walk along and let them ask the questions.
She approached the wolves and waited for them them to speak.
