~*~The night skies were clear, not a single cloud hung overhead. The stars where shining very brightly, but the crescent moon was stronger then all the little lights in the skies. There was a gentle breeze that flowed through the trees. The land seamed warm and welcoming, inviting you in with welcome arms. A sense of knowing washed over Iris as she gazed upon the land. It was rich with the scent of pack wolves. And this was what she was looking for. Her journey finding her mother wasn't going out very well, and she knew she wasn't taught enough to survive on her own well. She was still a pup mentally. Though her age was closer to being fully grown, her small size also made her look pupish. Heaving a heavy breath, she knew what she had to do, but wasn't entirely sure on the idea.
Closing her green and blue eyes, she stood in a single spot just breathing to herself. Her muzzle pointed toward the earth, but her tail still held high, curling up onto her back, she wasn't able to lower it. Her chest rose and fell rhythmically before she opened her eyes, lifting her muzzle to look out upon the land. She then threw her muzzle high up into the air, and let out a long mournful, lonely howl filled with sadness and sorrow. She let it continue as long as her lungs held out before letting it die off, flowing its way into the pack land. She was letting herself known. Remembering vaguely about doing that in pack lands. Her mothers soft voice returning to her thoughts. It was almost comforting before the pain of loss grabbed her heart.
Taking another deep breath, Iris decided to move into the pack lands, keeping the the boarder as much as she could until her call was answered. She didn't want to disturbed those who lived in these lands peacefully and provoke a possible attack. At this point, it would be the last thing she needed. Starving and in need of another living being was taking its tole on her still young and untrained self. Her determination has allowed her to strive this far in her ventures, she was sure she could last a little while longer. Her paws were taking her somewhere she did not know of. Coming out of thought, she saw a large tree that was hollowed out, and dug out at the base of the trunk. Smiling lightly, Iris made her way over to the tree and peered inside. It seamed inhabited. Empty for a while. Squeezing her small self into the base of the tree, she curled up into a little ball and fell asleep.

A fox, They would all say. Not a wolf, she's a fox. To small to be one of us. A fox for sure. They all treated her the same. Looking down upon her because of her appearance. Of course, she did look like a fox. But it was true she was a wolf. Only her parents had seen her for what she truly was. A wolf.
She padded quietly through the underbrush. The leaves from bushes brushing her flank. It would barely touch a wolf of normal size, maybe only it's legs. She huffed a breath, trying to get the thought out of her head. It never occured to her that she would come across another wolf until she caught scent of one. But where. She didn't see one. Suddenly, in the corner of her eye, a movement caught her eye. She looked over to see a wolf jumping down from a tree.
Milani froze. Without moving her head, she looked side to side, looking for a place to hide. There was a bush, only a few paces away. She took a deep breath then sprinted for the bush. She made it in 3 leaps. The bush rustled as she landed behind it. Half crashing, half landing on her feet. She hoped the wolf would ignore the sudden rustle of the bush, thinking of it as just a rabbit being quite careless.

OoC: hey wolfie be careful of power playing it dosnt bother me but it might bug the staff :)
iC: Midnight landed softly on the forest floor from the tree she had been in. She flew up there, of course. She used her wings whenever she could. Usually she didn't see other wolves with wings, being a loner and all. Once again, she thought maybe thats why all the other wolves felt uneasy about her. And once again, she argued that lots of other wolves had wings in packs. Whatever. Midnight started at the crash and the rustling bushes. 'Whoever's white pelt that is,' she thought, ' is hard to hide.' She pondered whether to see if they were alright, and decided to. The smallish fox-wolf that greeted her was unexpeced, but she didn't think it was abnormal. With a quick sweep of her deep turquise blue eyes, she could tell that she was albino, had three tails, and was scared. Midnight just sat down. "Hello," she said quietly, "I'm Midnight. Don't worry, I'm nice. At least, I think I am." Her eyes grew warm and took on a laughing quality as she spoke.
((OoC: if you want to see what her eyes look like, look at my avatar and thats the same color as her bandana too (read her profile on my link signature))

A rustle stirred Iris awake from her exhausted slumber. The sound on panting came to her velvety black ears as the flickered lightly. And then came a crash of what she did not know what could make that sound. She opened her eyes and gazed up into the skies from the little den she had curled up in. The tree around her blocked her from sight unless someone would look into the tree. Her tail was curled up around her body as she breathed without sound. She wanted to make sure she wasn't being hunted. If she was, they would soon stick their muzzle into the tree. Her upper lip curled as she thought about this, preparing herself if an attack was needed. Nothing came to find her, which allowed her heart to slow down to a steady beat. Shaking her head slowly, she shifted her weight onto her paws and slowly stood up. Her curiosity was getting the better of her young mind, and she wanted to see what was going on outside.
Her jowls opened wide, her tongue lolled from her mouth, over her healthy ivory fangs as she let out a yawn. Her ears flicked to the back of her head as she moved slowly out into the world which she was just hiding from. The muffled sound of someone speaking came to her ears. There was someone out there, but she didn't know if it was a friend or a foe. Sliding her left front paw forward, she made sure to make no noise while walking out in the open. She wasn't able to hide very well with the Moon shining brightly down onto the earth, making her pelt shimmer brightly with silver. So she crouched low to the ground and sneaked toward the noises she was hearing. She flared her nostrils and took in the unknown scents, letting them settle deep in her memories. She wasn't going to forget these two in case of the chance of running into them in the future.
'Should I try to avoid them, or should I go and say hi?' Her thoughts rang in her mind. She didn't know what to do. Laying on the ground thinking, a gentle breeze caught at her pelt and carried her scent right toward the two unknown beings. Her eyes widened as she realized that they would know she was there whether she wanted them to know or not. But she hoped luck was on her side, and they didn't notice. Looking up at the moon, she let out a soft whimper, asking what she should do. But the moon just lay motionless high in the skies, playing with all the stars that danced and sparkled around it. Closing her eyes, she heaved a heavy sigh. She wanted to run, she wanted to hide. It had been many, many moons since she interacted with someone, and that loner quality was kicking in. But then being so alone, she longed to have a friend, someone she could talk to. Her tightly curled tail that sat high up on her back wagged slightly thinking about having friends. Her mind wandered off thinking about it, forgetting that there was two unknown beings a head of her.

Milani stared back up to the wolf. She was much bigger than her and tear her to shreds. A soft whimper escaped her jaws as the wolf spoke. But she soon realized the wolf spoke with kindness, not even a word about her small frame. "Hello," she whispered back, still unsure of the wolf. "I'm Milani." Feeling a little more confident, she rose from her crouched position, waiting for Midnight to say something about her small size. She took in a big breath, stopping halfway when a scent reached her nose. They weren't alone. Were the being followed, Hunted? Or was there another wolf wandering about. She stretched up, trying to get another whiff of the smell, but the wind had stopped blowing. She looked to midnight, wondering if they should go investigate. OMG guys. I am sooooo sorry for the wait. I have been so busy. But I have this week off for presidents week. So hopefully I can get all my forums up to date!

Midnight smiled kindly down at the little fox. She did notice the scent, just a moment later. "Do you want to go see?" She asked Milani quietly. If she did Midnight would locate the scent and creep closer, if she didn't she would them ask, "What do you want to do?"
