Heavy raindrops fell lazily to the earth, coating the forest in a damp mist. The ground shifted easily beneath the wolfess as she walked, her paws covered in mud and grass. She turned her gaze to the sky briefly, mulling about everything that had happened recently as the mist fell into her eyes and ears.
She shook her pelt out, water flinging in all directions. She loved the rain, but water in her ears was one of the most annoying things she could think of. Not to mention the mud, which was everywhere. She preferred to watch a storm pass in an open, grassy field. This forest was too dense for a good, clear view of the sky. Instead, she was left to stare at the ground, which made her feel even more isolated and angry than before.
Apocrypha couldn't decide if she wanted company or solitude. Part of her yearned for a companion she could vent her frustrations to, while the other lusted for nothing but massacre. She was so angry... violently so. She felt betrayed and lied to. And lost... so very, very lost. Nothing seemed to be worth caring anymore, for her last chance at redemption had turned out to be nothing more than a farce.
She paused her gait for a moment, feeling the water rush down her coat. Raindrops dripped from her head to her muzzle, then fell around her paws. 'I never should have lived my life this way. How else could I end up?' Her muscles tightened in anger, and she shook the thought from her head. 'Come now, you're better than this!'
And with that thought, She began walking once again.
[[OOC: It's been a looong time since I've rp'ed so pardon me while I shake off my rust ^^;]]

Drenched by the rain, and looking around in annoyance at how happy all of the plants and critters were, he wasn't in a very good mood. They all love the rain... he thinks to himself, but to him it's only a reminder of the pain he suffers; the pain of embarrassment, of guilt. As water dripped off of and fell onto his brown fur, an imaginary spectre of his father appears before him, and he lashes out, ramming into a nearby tree. Getting up and shaking it off, the apparition vanishes, and he cries out in frustration. Why, Father? he thinks. He sulks deeper into the forest, wet, tired, and upset.

Apocrypha was walking gently, not paying much attention to her path, nor her direction. She was pacing deeper and deeper into the forest, and was not familiar with her surroundings. Momentarily, her instincts were smothered by her thoughts and she tuned out the world around her...
That is, until a loud noise startled her.
She jumped, a low growl creeping from her throat. Her icy-blue orbs darted around her, seeking out the source of her interruption. She saw nothing in her immediate area, but she heard the rustling of leaves. Someone had apparently either hit a tree, or fallen out of one.
She turned towards the direction of the noise and barked a warning, "I'm only passing through. Please do not advance." Her tone was steady and firm. She was used to territorial wolves and males attempting to establish dominance, but she was not interested in either of those things.

Hearing a voice, Nestor looks up suddenly. With a less-than-pleased expression, he growls out, "Who's there?" Sniffing around, and spotting only a black wolf through the foliage, he spies at her, his short brown horns glistening with rainwater.
Edit: Gar! I keep putting everything in past tense!

In a matter of moments, an odd looking creature appeared before her. The first thing the wolfess noticed was the large horns set upon his head. They were hard to miss, indeed. Her legs tightened, just in case the thing decided to charge at her. Those horns could certainly do some damage if she wasn't careful.
Next, she noticed the rest of his appearance. Scales and fur. How wonderfully odd. She almost envied his scales, her puphood flashing in her mind. When she was younger, she used to play 'dragons' with her siblings. She loves stories about dragons a Druins, and used to secretly wish to be one. The male before her looked kind of like a Druin, but not quite. This piqued her curiosity, but her pride would never allow her to inquire of a stranger what their origin might be.
"Apocrypha." she stated simply and sternly. Her name was all she was willing to give. As to the whats, whens, wheres, and whys, she hardly believed it was his business. The only thing she wanted to know was whether or not he would let her pass through peacefully.

((He's a bit paranoid, so please forgive his reaction...))
As... Apocrypha spoke, Nestor couldn't help noticing her wings. dripping though they were, he still thought them beautiful. No! he thought to himself, I should be restoring my honor, not diluting it... Shaking his head in annoyance, he says to her with a growl, "I don't need your hospitality, so unless you want to fight me, I suggest you get out of my way!" With this he takes an aggressive step towards her.

Apcrypha listened to him talk, her head tilted to the side. When had she shown hospitality? She was utterly confused for a moment. Usually, when she acted this way, the other being would get pissy and scoff at her. But this brute seemed to think she was attempting to be nice?
Before she could continue her train of thought, she notice him take a step towards her, almost as if he was challenging her. Her ears clicked back for a moment, then she erupted into laughter. Her giggle's bounced around the forest, sounding surprisingly cheerful rather than mocking.
Within a matter of moments, her chuckles died down. She pawed at her face, regaining her composure. She coughed, clearing her throat, and then turned her steely gaze upon him, a coy smile playing across her mouth.
"You'll have to excuse me. I find irony hilarious. Anyway,"
she stepped to the side and looked behind her. Then she turned back to him, examining the distance between them.
"I'd say there's a good deal of distance between us. I don't believe I'm in your way."
To establish the fact that she was being somewhat of a smart-ass, she sat down and wrapped her extravagant tail around herself. It was almost as if she was saying 'Go ahead and pass. But you'll have to go around.'

((I don't entirely control my characters... I just see how they react and type it... which is why I have a bad habit of typing in past-tense.))
At the she-wolf's laughter, Nestor dips his head in an angry manner. How dare she laugh at me! I am a Drunin, not some sideshow! He goes to fight her, but then she steps aside and sits down, in a very sarcastic posture. Of all the nerve... Out of anger, he storms past her through the foliage, eager to get out of this frustrating situation.
((I'm a little off right now, I have Niphanos in my mind.))

Well, darling, is that all?"
She watched him walk from the corner of her eye, withholding her smirk.
"Don't tell me you're so sore over a little giggle. Haven't you ever heard of a sense of humor?"
She sighed and stood, turning to face the opposite direction that he was heading.
"I guess I was right then... you're all the same. What a shame. I was hoping this might go somewhere..."
She flicked her tail behind her playfully, acting as if she was going to walk away as well, waiting to see if he was going to stop her

Nestor continues walking some ways away from where he met the she-wolf. He hated his reaction to seeing her. Surely someone put her up to this... they must have known I would be attracted... maybe that troublesome Khora, she was annoyingly 'helpful'. Wouldn't give up... Finding a dry, hollow log to rest in, Nestor walks in and goes to lay down. His action is thwarted, however, because one of his horns gets caught on a hole in the wood. Thrashing his head in frustration, he manages to break loose, but not without leaving a hole in the log. A hole for rain to penetrate the dryness... for his depression to pour into his heart. Lying down anyway, he ignores the water driping onto his flank from the hole. He starts licking himself dry, then a wave of depression rolls over him and he just drops his head to the ground, feeling utterly pointless. Why do I even keep on going? This is not a life worth living... Now the water dripping on his flank seemed small and insignifigant compared to the utter gut-wrenching sadness that was wrapped about him like a straitjacket. I must not allow my self to cry... I cannot cry! What of my honor... Hah! What honor... He went on like this for quite some time, sometimes speaking aloud, but usually just insulting himself in his head. By the time he was done abusing himself, the rain had started to abate.
