Innocent Fun (Zoey)

((This thread might be open at some point, but for now, I would prefer it be just between Zoey and me))

Silly ants... Khora thinks as she pokes at a few with one of her little claws. It's a bright, sunny day, and Khora feels all warm and fuzzy because of the perfect warmth shining down to her small, lounged back body from the sun. She briefly spreads her butterfly-patterned wings so they can get some sun, too, then stretches like a cat. An incredibly tiny cat, with wings, no less.

Shaking her head to get some of the warmth-induced sleep out of her mind, the fey dragon flies up a few feet and looks around for someone to talk to. On a day this nice, it's a shame to be alone! Amazingly enough, she spots something several yards away, a young wolf pup, with a white-brown-red coat, and beautiful emerald green eyes. Flitting from plant stem to plant stem like a grasshopper, Khora makes her way over to the pup, and goes to land on the young wolf's back so she can introduce herself.

Bright emerald globes take in the peaceful landscape around the young wolf pup, Aurora. She silently wandered aimlessly to pack land territory, still she was determined on not getting caught, well at least she hoped so. Sunlight soon reached her multi-layered coat, making it as glossier as ever. She sighed, how would she keep a hidden cover if she was as bright as the north star! Well, if anything dares to challenge me, I'll make them think twice! She nodded as the words played in her head. Aurora giggled at her confidence, knowing she'll one day grow up to those words. Whoa, wait ! I swore I saw something flying She whispered silently to herself. At first, she thought she was crazy, then she began to make out a small dragon that was hovering right to her! What harm could it do, the small dragon can be a future companion to her travels! She made her mind up to walk gracefully towards the butterfly winged dragon. Hi! My names Aurora, and yours might be? She asked enthusiastically. Maybe she was being a bit over friendly.

Landing on the pup's shoulder, slipping a little bit, and finally hanging off of her fur, the little fey says, "I'm Khora, pleased to meet you!" Her tiny black scales shone in the sunlight, as did her deep purple eyes. "Isn't it just an absolutely beautiful day? I love it when it's like this!" she says, making large gestures with her little arms, "The way the sun makes everything so... round. It's all fuzzy!" She sighs in relaxation, then crawls up to Aurora's head, and pokes her head down in front of the pup's face. "So wha'tcha doin'?"

((I had to color the regular text because the bright orange kept me from reading the rest, lol. I have the opposite problem old people do, I can't see high contrast, hahah.))

She watched carefully at the small dragon make way to her shoulder. She shrugged off on how impolite it was to fly over to ones shoulder uninvited, yet Aurora didn't care. She was in desperate need of some company. Khora spoke on about how beautiful the day seemed to be. Aurora nodded her head in agreement, watching the dragon flying now to her head. "Well, I suppose I was going to hunt for rabbits, but I'm sure you are as well hungry, so just hang on tight!" She stated, not leaving any room for Khora to reject. She sprinted into a full run. She smelled the sweet smell of rabbit, knowing that they were in a near burrow. Khora, this might spook you but, it's just an illusion She whispered silently to her new friend. Closing her luminous eyes, Aurora focused on the burrow. Small buzzing noises soon found they're way inside, It was a swarm of bees. She snapped open her eyes, now standing in front of the burrow for the rabbit to escape. With a quick reaction, Aurora soon had caught her and Khora's lunch. Well, dig in! She responded, a bit much like an order but it was for Khora to eat. Soon Aurora was munching on the dead prey, licking off the red scarlet liquid from her maw. Hey Khora, do you think you could stay with me awhile longer, you know till you want to leave She pleaded with her emerald eyes, hoping Khora would agree.

((Lol, if it was you, and not just your character thinking that it was rude, Khora has to hold onto who she's talking to, she can't fly very far!))

As the pup takes off unexpectedly, Khora quickly grasped onto the fur of Aurora's neck, which was made for grasping anyways. Flopping up and down on the pup's neck, Khora cheered, "Woo hoo! Ahahaha!" Wolf pups are so much fun! she thinks. When Aurora stops, Khora's curiosity is piqued at what she says. Looking around for something, not really knowing what to look for, she was startled anyway at the sound of angry bees, until she noticed how calm Aurora was. She hops down to the ground as Aurora grabs and kills the rabbit. Her little jaw dropping in surprise at the ease of the hunt, the fey takes careful note of the way Aurora used her illusion. She'd never thought of using her own magic that way before... As the pup drops the limp corpse and invites her to eat, Khora frowns slightly. She doesn't usually eat when it's this nice of a day. Finally she resolves to eat some anyway. Being so small, she doesn't often get very big meals, so she tears off a little piece and starts munching on it, after thanking Aurora. Done eating the little scrap of rabbit meat, she says eagerly to Aurora, "So you have illusion magic, too?" With a giddy little flutter of her wings, she prances around one of the pup's unoccupied paws, awaiting a response.

"So you have illusion magic, too?" Khora asked. Aurora nodded, finishing up her meal. Though, I'm still learning new things, I can only manipulate sounds and duplicate objects She responded with pride, knowing her power will increase as she gets older. Khora, is it okay if you stay with me? Till you find your own way? she asked, while playing with the left over bones.


Sorry its so short! and Aurora's just hard headed and had a snappy attitude, lol.

((Sorry it's taking me so long to respond, I completely lost the mentality of Khora... I could see her actions, but not her words. In an attempt to rekindle her vocal spark, I made a drawing of this scene. Let's see if it worked))

With an amused half-smile, the fey dragon watches Aurora play with the bones of her kill. When the pup asks her to come with her, Khora says with a wide smile, "Yeah, sure! Sounds like fun." She climbs back onto the pup's back, and rolls over onto her back, stretching out in the pup's fur. "You know, your fur is really soft, and so smooth! I almost feel like I'm going to slide right off because it's so shiny." Then acting on her words and sliding down off of the pup's side, she says, "Hey, check out what I can do with my powers!" She flies up and makes herself look bigger than the pup, and says "Rawr. Ahahahaha!" Coming back down, she says, "I can also make myself disappear, or even teleport!" Excitedly prancing in a little circle like a horse, she continues, "That one took a while, I had to think waaaaay outside the box... I had to think of everything as an illusion, and then move myself. It's really weird, and I still can't control it very well. There's some other stuff, but I don't make things, like you do." With this she looks up at Aurora with a little companion's smile.
