Asosa felt strange. This pack... Being in it made her feel almost at home. Almost, but not quite. There were almost no pups born with wings, if any. Her markings made her stand out, rather than blend in. That was another reason for her markings. Her breed was a target for other mythical creatures, more so than other wolf breeds. It was like the thing with zebras and their stripes. Each Kishigai wolf had unique markings. No two Kishigai looked exactly the same. It was a genetic inbred trait, meant to help with protection. But the markings of a Kishigai also helped a member of the breed channel their elemental magics. If they had any.
The pups in camp, the few that were there, were wingless and often had solid or two colored pelts. And the markings weren't anything abnormal. A spot of darker fur around an eye, a spot in the center of the back. She shook her head, clearing it.
She tilted her feathers, angled her wings, and shifted direction. She had left the camp after finding out that the alpha female was out of camp. She decided to explore the territory from the air. She had already seen the giant double-tree that was in the middle of a prairie. She knew where the Doresu Fields were, and she'd explored the forests on her paws. All that was left was the northern section of the territory. She suddenly was glad that her winter coat had grown in. The mountains looming ahead of her were bound to be cold. Especially in winter.
When she landed, she felt her paws sink through the soft snow. She looked around. Despite never having been here before, she still felt that familiar feeling of home. Would this place become her new home? Or was it just going to be a temporary living place until she had recovered from the burns? She pulled her burned wing to her face. The damage was done, but it was already looking better. It would be healed in a matter of days. And her fur was almost clear of the singed parts. Only one small patch on her left rear leg remained.
What did this place hold for her? Would she come to think of this place as her true home? Or would she end up leaving, never to return?

The wind blew fiercely against the outside walls of the cave. It howled as it whipped at the cave. She shivered as she hid in the very depths of the cave, invisible at a glance. She let out a soft whimper as another whip of wind came, almost reaching her with it's deathly cold grasp. Why did she think it was a good idea to hunt up here. It was always cooler then the other territories, but this was the worst storm this year.
She curled up into a ball, trying to keep as much of her warmth and energy as she could. She hoped it would die down soon so that she could escape back to her own den. Another cold wind blew, this time strait into the cave. She braced her self. It swirled around her. Making the feathers of her wings ruffle. A soft whine escaped her jaws and sent a sudden shiver all throughout her small body.
She knew she would have to leave soon, or else she would freeze to death.

Asosa tilted her head, picking up a disturbance in the voices of the wind. Some were worried. A wolf... In a cave... Nearby! Asosa curled her wings in close as the wind battered her. She pushed her way through the snow, following the directions the wind's voices gave her. She almost missed the cave mouth. The storm had blown up out of nowhere. She struggled inside. Just inside the mouth, Asosa shook the snow off her fur. She walked farther inside the cave before she opened her wings to shake them dry. Then she saw a small form curled up as far from the wind as possible. With the wind blowing into the cave, that was hard to do. Asosa turned back to the mouth of the cave so she could hear the wind better. She asked the wind's voices to calm the wind, or at least change the wind's direction, then went back to the small form. She curled up beside the other wolf, draping one wing over the shivering form. She allowed a little of her fire magic energy to trickle into her markings, but only enough to slowly warm the other wolf. The small form could already be suffering from hypothermia, and warming a hypothermic wolf too fast could cause said wolf to go into shock. Asosa allowed her fire magic energy to warm the smaller creature slowly, waiting until the other one was ready to speak.

The soft cries of the wind had somehow drifted her to sleep. She was dreaming. It was springtime. Warm and sunny, plenty of fields to run through. It was her favorite time of the year. She ran through a field of golden grass. From above, it seemed like a golden sea as it swayed in the breeze. Suddenly, the wind picked up, sending the grass to a craze. It whacked at her. She didn't understand what was going on. Suddenly, a wolf, white as freshly fallen snow was hovering is the air above her. She had markings the spiraled around her body. Her eyes seemed to be hazed with anger, of which Rema didn't know of. Out of nowhere, spirals of flames began to dance around the wolf. They burned and tortured the once beautiful field. But why?
"Wolf with flames and wings, what is thy reason of destruction for this field. It has done naught to thee." Once she began to speak, the wolf lowered her gaze to Rema, then fell to the ground with a thud.
Rema woke with a start. She was still in the cave that kept her away from the cold winds that blew so fiercely. She stretched out her forelegs and yawned. She felt warmer than she had. She began to lift her wings to give them a stretch they needed, but stopped when they touched something. She whipped her head to the side to see what it was. The hair on her neck began to rise as she saw the wolf. It was the very wolf from her dream. She looked at her with question. "And who might thee be?" She thought about mentioning her dream but thought it might be odd to have dreams about a wolf you have yet to meet. Ooc: If you were wondering, she speaks in medieval. Here is the... thing I used. Just in case you don't know what she's saying.

Asosa watched as the she-wolf dreamed. Under the warmpth of Asosa's wing and magic, the small wolf stopped shivering. When she saw the small wolf wake, she removed her wing. "My name is Asosa," she said. "My name means blue sky." She pulled the wing she had been covering the small wolf with close to her. "I am... Exploring. My father told me to find this pack, which is why I am here." She looked out at the snow. "I went to the camp to meet the alphaess, but was told that she had gone out. I figured, should she accept me as a pack member, that I should know the territory." A sad look crossed her face as she remembered why she was here, but the look was gone in an instant. "I can understand the voices of the wind. That is how I knew you were here. No creature, wolf or otherwise, deserves to die in this cold." She smiled slightly, but it was a sad smile that didn't reach her eyes. "And... Last time I left someone... Well... I still don't know what happened to them..." Her smile faded, and she looked lonely. She almost seemed lost. "But I left because my father put his life on the line to make sure mine did not end that day." She shook her head. The storm outside seemed to be getting worse.
"It seems that I must wait here until the storm passes," Asosa observed. "I do hope that does not bother you."
