Daen sniffed the chill air, excitement buzzing through him. He always felt like this before a kill. It wasn't the killing that he enjoyed, it was the sense of achievement he got from succeding at something he did well, something he loved.
He could smell the deers scent now. It smelled tired, after a day of foraging. Hopefully it would not going to be as alert as it would be earlier in the day. It was young, and strong, however, and would be good sport, at the very least.
In his natural wolf form, he slunk through the undergrowth, a ghost in the shadows. The silver moon gleamed above, silver shafts of light piercing the leaves of the forest. Daen could not see the deer from here, but he could smell it strongly. It was close, very close.
He could hear it as well, rustling through the leaves as it searched for a place to sleep. Closing his eyes, he let his breath out slowly, and as he did so he allowed light to bend around him, pass through him. He faded from view, and he took another deep breath, a small part of his mind diverted to keeping himself cloaked, the rest of his mind focused on the prey.
He crept forward, tail swishing from side to side, and moved towards the smell. A twig snapped as the deer moved, and he saw it walking slowly through the trees. He was twenty meters away, but it was facing towards him. He moved closer. It looked up, but away, evidently not aware of his presence.
Another breath, another few meters closer. He was incredibly aware of it now. It filled all of his sense now, and he breathed slowly, calmly, but adreneline was pumping through him now. He was close enough now, eight meters seeming no distance at all. One final breath. Everything went silent for Daen, and he could have heard a leaf drop to the ground. Then he leapt, racing towards it, letting his cloak fade, as he jumped onto the deers back, his mouth open wide. The deer bucked wildly, and Daen nearly slipped off. Lunging, he managed to sink his teeth into its flesh, blood spraying.
Daen regained his balance and bit again, higher up. The deer staggered, then bolted. Daen was nearly dislodged again, but bit again, and again, feeling gratified when the deer finally collapsed. Daen quickly bit its neck, to crush its bone. It died quickly, and Daen let out a wild howl of victory!

Aiu lazed contentedly in the boughs of a tree high above the ground. It was late. Usually she would be hunting by now, but tonight there was no twisting in her stomach from hunger. She hadn't eaten recently, but nor had she done that much for a while. Al wasn't around, so he wasn't there to keep her active; to make sure she got up and hunted every once in a while. Truth be told, she was a little bored. Well, more than a little bored actually. She'd been alone for a while with no sign of the usually energetic male who the she-wolf followed. That meant no games, no runs through the trees. Her life had all but stopped.
Yawning, the adolescent femme rolled from the thick bough she was resting on and hurtled toward the ground. About a yard away from a broken spine Aiu's wings flared, halting her descent and allowing her to land with little more than a soft shhhhing noise from the grass beneath her. Shaking out her snowy fur, the half-moons over the top of her tail contorting and smoothing with the jerking motion, the femora turned her jade eyes upward to see the moon through a small break in the trees above. The corners of her mouth turned up in a small smile and she started forward at an easy lope. She traveled at a leisurely pace through the forest for a few minutes until a familiar scent hit her nose. Ears flickered up as she slowed to a halt, trying to figure out which direction the succulent scent was coming from. East... It's coming from the east... The adolescent wolfess decided quickly, instantly altering her direction to head toward the fresh kill.
Within minutes, the steady rhythm of her paws had consumed a mile of ground easily. This was a familiar part of the forest to Aiu as were the many smells, but there was one scent that seemed out of place. It was male, rising above the sweet blood and burning in her nose. Just as she made this realization, a jubilant howl split through the air and echoed in the she-wolf's head. She shrunk back, her haunches bumping against a tree and causing her to jump, before recognizing the noise for what it was. Cocking her head, Aiu trotted forward. She was curious, but cautious at the same time. Males were dangerous, this was something she had learned through her short life alone. But not all males sought battle, and not all males were bloodthirsty monsters. Like Al. He's perfectly normal.
His back was turned to her, she wondered if he even knew he wasn't alone. Oh well, he'll know soon enough. With that, she stepped silently from the trees. Emerald eyes watching him closely in case he showed signs of attacking, the young femora spoke. "Quite impressive..." Her voice was liquid silver, the lilting tones carrying through the empty air easily. Aiu carried herself with grace as she took a couple more steps toward the male, ears constantly on swivel and eyes taking in every little detail of the forest around her. This male was foreign to her, and that made him dangerous. But the fierceness in her eyes and feral aura which surrounded the lithe wolfess made it clear she wouldn't be cowed into fear easily. Not even if he's twice my size... She swallowed hard, the thumping in her chest increasing ten fold.

*Out of character: Vivid says she's too busy with school to reply right now so she'll jump in later.*
Daen licked his lips, tasting the blood on them, and hunger twisted his belly. Wasting no time, he started to eat, as quickly as he could. He enjoyed the taste of the meat. It had been well worth the effort. His brown fur was stained with the deer's blood, sticking together in small tufts. He would have to clean himself off once he was done here. He was just glad that he did not have to drag this kill back to the pack this time. Given leave was a good reward for the work he had done.
Daen turned around at the sound of another wolf's voice, female, liquid tones that floated through the night air. She had wings, that was the first thing Daen noticed. Large white wings with blue feathers at the tip. Her eyes were the next thing he saw, blue, and quite piercing. Now he saw her in her entirety, slim and lithe, like an icicle, beautiful yet slight. She was muscled, and was probably quite strong. His eyes narrowed, and he tensed. He had never seen her before. He felt his hackles rise slightly, but ignored the fact.
"Who are you?" he asked, his tail flicking. He slowly stepped away from the kill, ignoring the blood that dripped from his paws and muzzle. He kept his ears forward, towards the stranger, the entire of his focus on her. He didn't want to take any chances.

O0c:Is this private?
Sanka had noticed the intruder long ago. They were;t intruding on his land, he actually had no clue where he was. But he was intruding on his walk. How was he supposed to clear his mind with this wolf prancing around? Being cautious as always he hid, which for him meant he stood perfectly still out in the open and closed his glowing red eyes. The night would conceal him well enough.
He wasn't in the mood for confrontation or fighting, but it would only be a matter of time before he took notice to his presence. Although he had no scent, and wasn't making a sound someone always got that feeling of being watched. Oh how he hated that stupid 6th sense. He scented the air himself hoping to understand the male better. He smelt of Shinkou which wasn't good. If Sanka had once again wondered into Shinkou territory he might not be let off with a warning this time.
Suddenly the scent of the male faded away to nothing more than a lingering scent along with the smells of the forest. Confused Sanka opened his eyes and to his surprise no one was there. No one of Shinkou moves that fast. he thought wondering how the male could just disappear. It must be his magic. Anticipating battle Sanka thought of ways around the males spell and came up with only one. It would be his only chance of finding the male in battle.
Then the sound of an animal being brought down filled the silence, Sanka rushed to the spot wondering if it could possibly be the same male. It was, and now he was joined by a fae. They were having a standoff. She wouldn't challenge him for a kill would she? He sat down watching the show unfold.

Heart racing, Aiu reacted almost the instant she saw the male's hackles rise. Wishing she had the protective bulk of Al around, the adolescent femme weighed her chances of survival. She could stay and fight - the scenario she prepared for by growling quietly and flaring out her wings to appear a bit bigger - or she could do the smart thing and simply skip out. But no, Aiu had never been the type for cowardice and she wouldn't start now.
"Who are you?" The male asked, stepping away from his kill while fresh blood stained his dark fur. Aiu sidestepped, making sure this large wolf gained no distance on her. With his size, the lithe wolfess would need all the time she could get. Use his size against him. You're small and agile, you can move in ways he can't. Take advantage of that... Her mind rationalized as she once again sized up her potential opponent. Also, try taking into account that he is a male... The she-wolf had to fight the smirk threatening to crease her snowy muzzle, this would only be too easy. "No one of consequence..." Aiu cooed, her voice becoming coy as she threw up a familiar mask. Fear, and caution were not something she should show to this brute, neither should she show the analytical way with which she took in each minute movement on his part. "And who might you be, darling?" the femme's voice was like quicksilver, the musical femininity of her voice making her grin internally. She paced about two yards away from him, taking three steps then turning again and again. Her paws were dainty little things, not even leaving prints in the loamy soil. Her head was held up, muzzle slightly cocked to the side in an almost flirtatious sort of way, tail swishing across her heels with every step. Keep him guessing... Get him off guard.... Focus and you'll make it out of here alive....
There was a wind shift then and for a second, something poked at her mind. Something that really bugged her but she couldn't quite put her paw on it. Aiu's mind was too zoned in on the large wolf in front of her. The large wolf who could probably snap her spine with a single bat of his paw. Ouch... That was one mental picture she hadn't wanted. But she needed to- The wind blew at her again, that same hair-raising feeling making the winged wolfess's paws tingle. They weren't alone, and she could only assume that whatever entity was with them was on the male's side. That didn't bode well for her. Still, she would die before she showed fear to this male or his friend. That's painful... Another mental image of her life ended by the paws of this brute flashed through the femme's thoughts, leaving her questioning her life as a carnivore. However, not one shred of uncertainty revealed itself upon the femme's exterior. No scents, no odd glances, no increase of breath. She seemed completely in control, perhaps even almost seductive in her mannerisms. But that couldn't have been farther from the truth...((OOC: Nope you're fine Sanka )

*Ooc: Great to have you Sanka * Daen twitched slightly as an unpleasant feeling crept upon him. In fact, many unpleasant feelings were upon him now. One was the eerie sensation he was being watched. Another was that this situation was not going well. This female had a strange air of coyness that put him slightly on edge, despite his usual calm. Or maybe it was his feelings of being watched that had done that, but either way, he was slightly uncomfortable with the situation. As his natural calm reaserted itself, his hackles went down, his unease settling mildly. There was no reason that this female could want to harm him, unless she too had been tracking the kill. He slowly moved around the carcass, putting it between him and her, creating more of a gap between them. Daen considered the situation in its entirety. This wolf was possibly hostile, and she may be after his kill. Either that, or she was passing through this area and had only met him by chance. That was all speculation however. There were too many unknowns, and in hunting, that was dangerous. "My name is Daen," he said. "What do you want?" Keep her talking, and he may find out a bit that could ease the situation.

Sanka continued watching the duo. She was a winged wolf, the Umbras sworn enemy. And he, well he possessed some very dangerous magic. Daen. he said in his mind. He thought it over and over again, searching through his memory banks. The name rang no bells and neither did his magic. Who is he?[\i] Sanka pondered. His mind Being riddled with questions Sanka didn't notice that his prey had began to sense his presence. His piercing red eyes shone through the night giving away his position. The moon cast an eerie glow upon his matte Black fur.
Kill her. said the voice in his head laughing. Then more seriously it repeated itself. Kill her Sanka!!! Spill her blood!, Sanka shook it off. The voice of his guardian, the jester, had become more and more vocal lately. The power it possessed couldn't be bottled up forever, eventually it would surge forth and once again cause Sanka to commit horrible acts of sin. This was the second time he urged Sanka to kill someone and it was starting to become annoying. As the voice echoed away Sanka still stared off into the distance. watching the two wolves ahead of him.

The wolf's hackles lowered and with them did Aiu's anxiety. He was relaxing, he was letting down his guard. She grinned inwardly, this was only too easy. The snowy wolfess was grateful for the distance he put between them when he moved around the carcass. "My name is Daen." He said casually, as if there wasn't the possibility that at any second they would leap into battle. "What do you want?" Ah so that's what you're doing.... It was a classic technique, running through the what, where, why, when, who's. This Daen was stalling, trying to figure out if she planned on fighting him for his kill or not. Well, she wasn't- A low rumble in her stomach silenced that thought. Ok, so she was a little hungry, but not enough to fight someone over a meal. The still, steaming puddle of blood soaking into the ground beneath the deer was making Aiu's head spin. The succulent scent of the beast's life-blood attacking her nose and putting wicked thoughts in her mind. It would be easy to kill him... He's a giant oaf, you could run circles around him in the time it takes for his tail to wag... Just do it... You're hungry and you know it.... Take his kill...
It seemed so obvious. Of course, she would either kill him or chase him away but here was this deer laying in front of her just begging for her to claim it. But no. She couldn't just simply slaughter this wolf. To do so would be bringing shame upon herself and Al. Al.... He would never speak to her again if she killed so needlessly. Answer him... A minute had passed, maybe less maybe more. After all, what meaning did time have to a wolf? But she knew if she took too long in replying, the male might start getting suspicious of her intentions. What do you want....? Aiu paused in her pacing, staring straight at Daen. Jade eyes flashed fiercely as a small shaft of moonlight cut through the thick tree boughs above and shone down on her as if it were a spotlight. Her fur glittered in the light, her slender body, long tail, and strong graceful wings giving her an almost angelic appearance. Inwardly, she was anything but. "I want...." She began, her eyes never once leaving the male. But what did she want? Oh just give him an answer! You're thinking about this way too much! What did she want...? Ah! Of course! "I want your accomplice in the bushes to come out of his hiding spot." Her voice was almost a growl, completely a challenge. Let them both face her at once, but to hide away... "To hide in such a manner is simply cowardly...." A single fang poked out from beneath her black upper lip as she fought the snarl from her voice. The feeling of being watched had become an annoyance; she was tired of it.

Daen looked at the strange wolf in confusion. What accomplice? Something was seriously wrong with this situation. This was seriously dangerous now. The she-wolf was getting angry, and thought there was someone else here. Was she mad? But then a red gleam caught his eye. Whirling around, he stared at a pare of red eyes that glowed eerily. This creature had been watching them all along!
Daen felt certain that something bad was going to happen as he looked between the two beings. What was this new creature? It was darkly colored, so it was hard to see. An idea came into Daen's mind. He narrowed his eyes as he considered it. In a last attempt to avoid any violence, he spoke. "I assure you, she-wolf, this is no accomplice of mine." With that, he brightened the moonlight around them, not too bright, in an attempt to illuminate the scene properly, and see who this new stranger was.

What a cunning little thing she is! Sanka thought to himself impressed. Going off of nothing other than her gut she had confirmed his presence. And with that the strange male wolf also located him. As he was stepping out of the forest to introduce himself properly, as an enemy of them both, the moonlight strengthened. It did little to show his true form. His coat was matte black and pale, with no luster the moonlight was mostly absorbed into it like a black hole. It did however show his outline which was large.
"Before you kill each other or do something stupid like attack me, i want you to know know i am an enemy of you both." he said plainly walking slowly towards the duo.
He stopped far from the duo. He knew that the male could either move extremely fast, or disappear. But the femme, she had yet to use her powers, which meant she was still untrustworthy. The black mist which constantly escaped Sanka, ridding his body of access shadow energy, had long been suppressed in an attempt to keep his own magic a secret. With no scent, Sanka was sure the other two were questioning his identity and intentions.
"So your Daen, and who might you be? he said to the much smaller fae who just a moment ago had called him cowardly.

Something was off, it just didn't feel right. The way Daen looked between Aiu and the dark shadow amongst the trees made the femme's heart sink. "I assure you, she-wolf, this is no accomplice of mine." She almost choked. She had been so sure, so confident. How had she been wrong? The moonlight brightened then, was this the hunter's doing? Or some strange power of the beast who was then stepping from his hiding place. It was a male, the winged she-wolf could tell simply from his size. His eyes seemed to glow red from the sockets of his skull, an eerie sight when one added his dull coat. The light of the moon seemed to roll around him rather than actually illuminating him, Aiu found that particularly annoying. She narrowed her eyes and took a small step back with her hind left leg. Something about this new male really bugged her, but she couldn't put her paw on it. Until he spoke that is. "Before you kill each other or do something stupid like attack me, i want you to know know i am an enemy of you both." Aiu snorted with disdain, fighting the growl that threatened to rip apart the air. Stupid cocky dog... She snarled inwardly, her mind flying into a thousand different threats and curses all aimed toward this new male.
This was wrong. Everything was slipping out of her control and spiraling toward disaster. The lithe wolfess felt helpless, vulnerable, and confused. Al wasn't here to save her, she had to fight by herself this time and there would be no familiar bulk to have her back. That isn't to say she wasn't capable of fighting, quite the opposite she was a skilled huntress and magnificent killer. But that didn't mean she liked it. Especially not against two males that were both twice her size, there was no way she would get out of this mess alive if they decided a fight was better than standing around and talking. You're going to die fledgling.... You're going to die, and he's going to kill you.... A voice sneered cruelly in the femora's mind. Yes, there was no doubt her death would be dealt by the fangs of this shadow-clad wolf. Daen had never seemed the type to kill her, even when she was first being cautious, she had never feared death from him. But this new wolf.... A sudden flashback shot through Aiu's mind of Ula's blood stained figure after her ambush by a male wolf. The other female was a capable fighter, she was strong and fast and knew how to handle herself in almost any situation. Still, now she was blind in her left eye and could hardly walk without suffering from breathtaking pain. And all from one male. And this one...he's not going to stop like Kaal did...
As Aiu watched this dark male, her jade eyes scanning every inch of his muscled frame, she realized that a fight with him would be to the death. There would be no route of escape, no second chance. No mercy. This wolf would fight her and cut down her defenses until he could deal a killing blow, and only then would he stop. Well... I guess I'll just have to fight harder then... The femme decided grimly as the dark male spoke again. "So your Daen, and who might you be?" Who might I be...? It took her a moment to reply, and when she did the playful tease that had been in her voice when speaking only to Daen had gone. Replacing it was an icy steel, the musical lilting tones of her voice were still there but they were cold and hard; unfeeling. "No one of consequence....." She replied, echoing her words from earlier. This male wanted her name, well he wouldn't get it. Sure such resistance over a trivial thing was almost childish, but Aiu didn't care. She was past caring about how she appeared. The mask was slipping, showing the killer underneath.

Daen knew what he was going to do now. The situation was now classed in his mind, as dangerous. Any uncertanties that may have been floating in his mind were now gone. This new creature, its voice placing it as a male, was strong. And evil. Daen was not fond of evil. His hackles rose again, to their fullest extent. As they did, he let the new light he had summoned fade, as he began to focus on a particular image he used at times when fighting would probably lead to his death.
The mental picture of a white-gray wolf, three feet tall, with wings pearl colored, massive, emanating from her muscled back. Her eyes were a sparkling green, were piercing, and her fangs were glistening silver. By her side, was a mighty male, his fur gray from head to tail, his huge muscles rippling. He stood at four and a half feet tall. His eyes were like pits of fire, so amber were they that they seemed to burn.
Daen concentrated on these mental images, and slowly drew them into reality. They were not really there, but they seemed as realistic as was possible under the circumstances. They formed slowly, but out of sight behind him. As they formed, he added sounds to them. They now breathed, as they were completed. Focusing still more, Daen walked them to either side of him, keeping them facing the dark male who threatened. The illusory male snarled, the illusory female raised her wings high, before speaking in a high, chill voice, filled with hatred.
"Begone from this place, demon!" she said, her voice echoing slightly around the forest. "Or we will destroy you!" the illusory male barked. Inwardly hoping that this would have the desired effect, Daen tried not to let the energy loss he was suffering because of this illusion show through. He knew he could sustain this for several minutes, but he would need strength to fight, or flee. Therefore he only had about a minute before he would have to try another tactic. Letting out a snarl, he moved slightly towards the evil male, moving his illusion with him, taking care to allow no mistakes on their part or his.

"My my my!" he exclaimed at the fae's answer. "Your willing to die. Here. Now. That's to be admired. But such blatant rudeness could be considered a threat." he said doing his best to sound pleasant and kind. Making friends was never his forte. His threatening demeanor as well as appearance usually made him the last person someone would say hello to.
While his attention was focused on the fae who had gained his respect, but not trust, Daen configured his illusions. By the time Sanka took notice to them they were fully formed and speaking. "Begone from this place, demon!" the winged fae said to him.
Demon...It had been a long time since someone had called him that. He had been called many things in his life-time, but none worse than demon. He turned to confront the new fae who had just got on his bad side. "How dare she call you that?! A demon? HA, you are an Umbra! Now do as you were taught and clip this fae's wings! the voice rose up once more, feeding off of Sanka's anger. In an attempt to silence the voice he spoke calmly to the new fae.
"Demon is such a hateful title. A title, which in your eyes, i have done nothing to earn. Now, i assume your friends of Daen's as he too can somehow slip past my senses." he said. Remembering the way Daen's scent faded as he vanished. Sanka scented the air wondering if they too were Shinkou wolves. There was nothing, they had no scent at all! Immediately Sankas hackles raised up. No longer able to control his own power A dark mist flowed out of him like steam.
"Who are you?!" he demanded stepping back cautiously. Then he stopped, this could be an ambush, there could be hundreds of them! How would he know? He couldn't sense them at all.
See! The time for peace is gone you fool! Destroy them all before they destroy you! If you won't, I will.

Aiu growled lowly at the shadow-male, refusing to be threatened into a fear of him. You've been in worse scrapes than this, just don't lose your head. A voice encouraged in her thoughts, though for the life of her she couldn't think of a single one of those "worse" scrapes. She opened her mouth to make some witty retort, but was silenced by the voice of another female. Spinning and side-stepping, the lithe wolfess expanded her vision to see Daen and the two new wolves beside him as well as the shadow-male. This forest was getting rather crowded and she was about tired of it. If another wolf showed up she would probably just say to hell with it and skip out. No you won't, you're too proud. You're too ignorant of what's smart to actually do the smart thing. The voice corrected smugly, as if it knew more about the femme than she herself did.
"Or we will destroy you!" The winged male wolf barked angrily, making Aiu cringe away. His voice was deep and booming, comparable to the sound of thunder. She hated it. At this point, the snowy wolfess would have taken the shadow-wolf over this male any day. "Demon is such a hateful title. A title, which in your eyes, i have done nothing to earn. Now, i assume your friends of Daen's as he too can somehow slip past my senses." The dark male replied to the female's command, his voice anything but pleased. Everything was going down hill way too fast. The slender wolfess felt like she was tumbling down a steep slope and no matter how hard she tried, her descent couldn't be slowed. Someone would get hurt out this, but she couldn't be sure as of who. Al what do I do?! She screamed in her mind, not expecting the answer that was received. Do what you know is right... Follow your conscience, rather than your instincts... It was a memory, that much was obvious, but the fact that it alone had risen through her chaotic thoughts was what surprised her. However, the fae didn't have time for such things as surprises.
A dark shadowy cloud rolled out from the dark wolf, whose hackles had risen as well. This wasn't good. Everything was going wrong. He's going to kill them.... The realization came as she saw the dark mist spreading toward Daen and the wolves beside him. Aiu wasn't sure how she knew, but something told her the odds were more skewed than they appeared. It wasn't the hunter who had the upper hand, it was the shadow-male. But whose side do I take...? Emerald eyes flashed between both the wolves. A fight would be disastrous, not only for the two males but for the forest around them. Power was clear in both of them, power the trees most likely wouldn't be able to withstand. Don't take a side... Just run... Get away from here with your life and be thankful that thick headed Daen gave you a chance to escape... No, she couldn't run. She ignored the sneering voice in her mind.
There was a gap between the two males, but that would close all too quickly if a fight began. She was scared, angry, irritated, but she knew what had to be done. Lithe paws carried her swiftly across the ground until she stood between them. Yes, great idea. Now they can both kill you. "Stop!" The adolescent femme demanded sharply as she skid to a halt between them. Her back end crouched down slightly, front legs straightened out stiffly before her for balance, and wings flared to make her look bigger. She first turned her gemstone eyes upon Daen, he seemed to be the more reasonable one. "Stop... You would attack someone three to one? You're a wolf, not a weasel. Act like it." Aiu snarled before turning her fierce gaze upon the shadow-wolf. "And you... You're little more than an arrogant dog. Who in their right mind would attack three wolves and think they could survive it?! Do you have a death wish or are you really just that stupid?" She snorted, taking a brief moment to gather herself. Bristled fur smoothed back down, her body seemed to loose tension as she straightened into a standing position, wings folded against her sides and relaxed a bit. She seemed less threatening, when in reality her muscles were coiled to spring, her ears caught every little sound, her delicate nose detected even the tiniest scents that played on the air. A fight was inevitable to her at this point, but that didn't mean she was willing to just stand there and let it happen. "Now both of you just step back and take a breath... Please.." The "please" was almost an afterthought.
Annoyance at her idiocy. Irritation at the stupidity of males. Fear for placing her life in a delicate balance. Confusion as to why she didn't just run away like a smart little wolf. Curiousness of the strange dark mist that swirled around the shadow-male. Solidity in her decision to stay. If there is a god listening.... Help me...

Ooc: Muse is rather low atm sorry for short post :S Ic: Daen blinked as the she-wolf spoke. Her words were highly unexpected given her demeanor just seconds before. Quickly pushing away that thought, he continued to monitor the illusions. The situation would have to be sorted out soon, or he would have to dispel the illusions to maintain energy for fighting. Or running.
He took a step forward towards the evil one, looking past the she-wolf. Meeting the evil ones eyes, he spoke. "I have no wish to fight. We do not have to be enemies." Stepping back again, he licked his lips to moisten them. His mouth was slightly dry now. A sign of energy loss. This would really turn uglier soon. If that was possible, of course.
