Gann smiled at Nisha's words, maybe she could learn to trust him after all. "Are you from here?" The male glanced about then, unsure of what to say. Aiu would lie, Ula would lie, heck most wolves would lie if they were trespassing on another's land. "No." He said, forcing himself to say the word before his mind could talk him out of it. "I'm actually from much colder place than this, the nice weather here is a good break, heh heh." He chuckled nervously, blurting out his origins as if speaking would keep him out of trouble. "What about you? Um.. Is this your pack's territory?"
Now it was Gann's turn to be nervous. If Nisha said or did one simple thing, a whole pack of wolves could be at his throat within seconds. He wouldn't even have time to get off their lands, and then what? Run through the territory of their allies only to run through the lands of even more enemies? Yea right.. I'd be hard pressed to get out of that alive... He thought glumly, the thought of imminent death suddenly sobering him up.

He wasn't fro the territory and that wasn't a surprise. They had some visitors here that it was a wonder there weren't many more territorial disputes. He turned the question round on her and she shook her head. 'The lands belong to Shinkou and Akeru. I'm not a member of either pack but they don't seem to mind visitors here.' Which she was thankful for. She would never do anything to encroach upon them, but others may very well.
'I think we're both safe for the time being.' Unless something happened and theyhad to be kicked off the lands. Whcih she prayed wouldn't happen.

She lived here but she didn't belong to Shinkou or Akeru? How did that work? Oh well, it was none of his business. Still... The puppy-like creature couldn't help but be curious.
"I think we're both safe for the time being." Naha said, surely she would be an expert on such things. She who lived here as a permanent resident. "Well, that's reassuring." He said with a smile before cocking his head, a curious look coming to his face making him look even more mischievous if not more pup-like. "If you want to stay here, why have you not tried to join their pack? Wouldn't that make your living here less of a shaky deal?" He asked not thinking until the words had come from his maw that he might offend her by being so nosey. Here he was, prying into Nisha's private life. The male wouldn't have been surprised if the winged creature snapped at him to get away.
"Sorry..." Gann murmured shyly, his ears lowering as he drew his chin closer to his chest, tail curling around his side in an apologetic appearance. "I don't mean to pry."

She didn't like the look that came over his face. Mainly because every time he got that look, he started asking questions. Not that was a bad thing, but it was odd that she was starting to read his body language. Another loaded question and she licked her chops. 'No its fine.' She glanced around the area, again checking her surroundings.
Now came the tricky part. She wasn't sure how he felt about demons. SOme here did care, a good majority didn't care. 'Im not allowed to join packs technically.' She glanced to him, getting to run should he react horribly. 'Im not a wolf. I am demon.'

She was lying, it couldn't be true. Gann refused to believe it but as the words registered one by one in his mind, he could almost feel the truth in them. She was a demon. A demon. At first he didn't respond, and when the words finally did warrant a response it was his body which first changed. His muscles tensed and his ears laid back against his neck, grey head shaking as he spoke, "You can't be a demon.." The large male said softly, his voice holding a pleading tone to it as if he were waiting for her to smile shyly and say 'just kidding'. "You can't be, the Giaku wolves are demons but you're nothing like them. You can't be a demon."
Gann's world was rolling over it seemed like. How could this timid creature be born of devilish beasts as were the hellhounds of Giaku? How could something so gentle and shy be meant for evil? It went against everything the large male had set in his mind as proper and right. Bad things were bad and good things were good. There was no grey, only black and white. Then again, hadn't he met an angel who was proof that this theory had it's faults? The winged she-wolf who lied, seduced, and reveled in the bloody mess of a kill... The ghostly wraith who had come and gone from his life before he had even had the time to know her. If an angel could be cruel and pitiless then couldn't a demon be gentle and kind?
The male's body relaxed a bit, his ears raising though the pleading look never leaving his eyes. Gann recognized the possibility for a grey zone in his world, but the familiar black and white is what he wanted. Surely at any second Nisha would soothe his fears and explain that this had all been a joke? The male whimpered, crawling a tad closer on his belly. "You can't be a demon...." He murmured, watching and waiting for the joke to be revealed.

Now was the tie things got awkward and began to spiral out of control.
Nisa saw the subtle tensing in his body and immediately began to fear for her safety. Swallowing she looked up to his face, watching the emotions play across his face. The words that he spoke made her frown deeply; he didn't believe her. And of all things began comparing her to the wolves of Giaku. She was mildly insulted but really, what could she expected? Her ears fell flat on her head and she lowered her stance once more, becoming as humble as possible.
She wanted to explain that it was true. Her mother was a butterfly demon, gentle and sweet as a spring day. While her father was a wolf demon, something the village had feared and hated. They were an unlikely combo but in the end they had produced her. Though that story was not one she shared often.
SHe felt his stare and glanced up at him for a moment. She wasn't sure what he was waiting for but it was unnerving. She couldn't be a demon, yet here she was. She took several steps back and away from him, tail tucking between her legs and eyes franticly looking for an exit. 'I should go.' And go far away, 'It was nice eeting you Gann.' For the short time it last at least.

She stepped away, her tail tucked between her legs. But Gann didn't want her to leave, didn't want to leave her alone to face whatever monster had scared her. He froze. It was him. It had been him all along. A strange look came over the male's face and he stood, everything clear to him. She feared him, but not just him she feared all because all had done exactly what he had just done. He had judged her. Without really stopping to think, he had judged her. Based on a single word.
Nisha's eyes glanced about frantically, the anxiety plain in her features echoed in her voice as well. "'I should go. 'It was nice meeting you Gann." The male started forward, quickly closing the distance before realizing such a display could once again give her the wrong idea. "No, wait, please.. I'm sorry, I.. I wasn't thinking. Please forgive me?" The large male pleaded, his feathery tail wagging slightly and his ears lowered in an apologetic manner. He had been so very wrong, it was unfortunate that this realization had to arrive at the sight of the fae's departure. "Please..?" Gann said softly, lowering his body so his belly would brush against the ground as he slowly crawled a bit closer to the female. If he was lucky, she would see the sincerity in the young male and at least allow him to remain in her company for the time being.

It was only a matter of time before the rejection came. And she was foolish to keep up the rouse. She should just wear some kind of symbol that lets others know, so they could take it upon themselves to avoid her. Or just attack her out right. That way they could go the idea of friendship. Besides, many more became violent once they think they had been duped.
She was inching away when he suddenly came at her quickly. Nisha gasped and fell flat, bracing herself for impact. But none came. Instead he spoke, begged. She looked to him for a moment, visibly shaking from what she thought was an attack. He was on his stomach and crawling toward her. She edged away slightly, still unsure of his intentions. 'I understand if you don't want me around.' She stated, keeping her voice low and as nonthreatening as possible. 'I'll just leave if it makes it easier.'

She had darted away from him, making the male wince. Even then, she continued to scooch away, even with Gann lowered onto his belly. "I understand if you don't want me around. I'll just leave if it makes it easier." The large male quickly shook his head, lurching forward before pulling himself short at the thought of her previous reaction. He had never had someone run from him before, he didn't know how to react other than to chase, but when Nisha just ran farther it gave him an odd feeling. As if he had failed her somehow, and maybe in a way he had... He had judged her, no doubt insulted her with his comparison to the Giaku wolves, and now here he was rushing into her personal space without any regard as to how she might feel about it.
Gann froze, tucking his tail around to his side and twisting around onto his back. "Please don't go... I'm sorry for what I said, I... I wasn't thinking... And please don't be afraid... I'm not going to hurt you... I promise." The male said gently, trying to make his voice sound kind and reassuring. He didn't want to scare her any more than he already had. If that's possible anyhow...

Again came the apology and the reassurance that no harm would come to her. Nisha wasn't sure. She stared at him and then looked around the area for a moment. Would it be wise to stay? She shifted, moving to sit down but keeping everything low. She'd stay, for now at least.
'Im sorry if..if you felt I deceived you.' she stated, 'That had never been my intention.' That was her though, honest as can be. Even when she should lie, it never occurred to her that she should.

Her rump slowly hit the ground and a wide smile broke upon Gann's face. She was staying, he hadn't mucked things up after all. Well... Let's not get too far ahead... "Im sorry if..if you felt I deceived you. That had never been my intention." The smile fell and he simply looked at her, an unreadable expression on his face. Here he was, insulting her, judging her, and she was the one apologizing. Was he missing something here?
"Please don't apologize, Nisha," he paused glancing about as if expecting wolves to bombard him for his insolence, "You've done nothing wrong. You shouldn't have to hide who you are for wolves not to run in fear or worse attack you... Is..is that why you're so afraid...?" The large ventured further, rolling onto his belly - front paws in front of him, hind legs splayed out to the left - and cocked his head to the side. He didn't want to scare her anymore, he wanted Nisha to see him as something she could hide behind rather than from. Call it pride, but Gann hated the idea of a female running away from him. He didn't want to be focal point of anyone's fear, but when it was a young fae like the one before him currently...the sting it bore was particularly painful..

He told her not to apologize and she pressed her lips together. She felt the need to all the same. But he wanted to know why she was so afraid. 'Being attacked because Im demon is only part of the reason.' She shifted, moving to lay down though her body remained tense. 'I've been pretty much ridiculed my entire life. You see,' oh gods she hoped she didn't get another horrible reaction out of him, 'I was actually brought up in a human pack. I have two forms you see and in my human form my wings remain. As you can imagine I was really different amongst the other children.'
Still hard to get over the sting of her childhood. It really should have made her stronger, yet it made her weaker. Skiddish of anything and everything that even so much as moved wrong. 'I thought my wolf form would be better but its had its own adventure.' Being hunted by said humans, being attacked by more aggressive wolves. Here in these packlands she had found at least some refuge. They were more open minded here, more welcoming.
Every so often she got reactions like Gann had had. And each time it stung as the first. She'd just learned to be lonely and survive by herself. Interactions like this were few. A true solitary demon was what she was.

The pup-like male listened with interest to Nisha's explanation, hiding the shock - and fear - he felt at hearing of her alternate form. A human, who would have thought she was a human... She had been attacked, laughed at, terrorized, and hunted her entire life. It was a wonder she wasn't more scarred. Gann envied her strength and courage. He could only imagine what it took for her to simply sit here and talk with him.
An 'I'm sorry' sounded too uncarring. An 'I understand' would have sounded idiotic. He could say nothing to take away the pains and hardships she had faced. No matter how badly the want to do so burned within his chest, he couldn't protect her from the past. His head lowered to rest on his paws, ears drooping slightly as his tail thumped in a hopefully reassuring manner. "You were hunted here too...?" He ventured, talking more to himself though his eyes painfully watched the slender fae.
Gann knew all about being alone...by choice. He couldn't even begin to imagine what it was like to be hunted by not only your own kind but those humans as well. He now had his pack. A home where he was welcomed without question. And Nisha... She lingered in the background of another pack. "What made you decide to come here? After that past... I would have wanted to get as far away from other wolves as I could." He asked softly, ears pricking forward to catch her answer.

Every now and again Nisha would glance toward his face to view reactions, but mainly she kept her gaze down. All she knew was that he had moved, his head now on his paws in a relaxed gesture. 'These wolves here are generally more accepting of what I am. There are many wolves here who are part demon and they understand. THey don't question what I am.'
She licked her lips, shifting again to get more comfortable. Those wings on her back fluttering on instinct and restlessness. 'Ive been out to several lands before. The outlands don't have many but those who are there are very aggressive.' She gave a short laugh and a smile, 'besides, I don't like being alone all the time. Company once in a while is nice. I'm just used to being on my own.'

Gann nodded his head to Nisha's first statement, smiling at the second. The loners could he aggressive if they felt their safety was threatened. He rationalized it a self preservation instinct - after living alone for so long one might come to view others as dangerous and so try harder to avoid them. Then again, some wolves were simply mean... Anyhow, Gann himself had tried his hardest not to strike first ask questions later, but even he had grown har during his years a nomad.
"Company can be very enjoyable." The large male replied chucklig slightly, his tail giving a slow wag. "But if you don't always want to be alone, then why not simply request to join one of the local packs? They could keep you safe from attacks, you could probably find more than one wolf who shares your qualities, and when you wanted solitude you would still be able to have it. So why stay on your own?"
Gann was, in a word, curious. He had never met a demon before, at least not one that hadn't tried to kill him, and so far he found Nisha to be quite interesting. It was a shame he couldn't spend longer in these lands. Only a few more days.. He could stay of course, shirk his responsibilities and do what he wanted. But Aiu would raise hell without him to rein her in. Already he wondered what sort of disasters she had created. No, to forgo his duties was not in the male's nature.
