OoC: This is a continuation (sort of) of Hey Beautiful between Oki and myself though now it is merely a plot open to whomever comes along XD
iC:
Rays of light filtered in through the entrance to the cave, somewhat brushing over Mascamora's sleeping face. Yes, she had actually fallen asleep and was glad for the rest as the activities from the night before had actually worn on her. She opened her eyes slowly and blinked a bit, issuing a yawn before stretching herself fully. Morning already? She looked around briefly, surprised her sister or another family member hadn't come snooping in to disturb her. Perhaps they had known she had had a late night. She wasn't a child anymore.. she thought to herself stubbornly.
Shrugging it off, she moved to leave the cave, looking around. There wasn't much movement below, and she descended the tower. She had to admit she still wasn't quite used to the peacefulness around Giaku. Things used to always be so much more noisy with wolves whispering amongst themselves, gathering, coming and leaving on assassinations or spy missions. Making weapons, plotting. Now there was none of that except perhaps on the rare occasion.
She found herself thinking about the night before, yet again, and let her mind dwell on it. Perhaps the peace wasn't such a bad thing. She yearned to see Drexyll once more and she began moving through the pack-lands leisurely, only for a moment wondering what her family was up to today and then putting it from her mind. Really, at this point it's not like it was her concern. In these times, she was hardly ever called by her uncle for anything and she was even less considered someone of true importance when it came to political matters. Why should she even bother? In fact, why should they even care what she was up to either? Of course these thoughts were in her own perception.
In truth, she longed to be considered a part, important. She would have her day. She was sure of it. But today wasn't it and so for now she didn't worry about it. She came upon the Koukon River and dipped her head to drink, batting at the water and laughing slightly as the fish scattered in fright. She shook her head and began moving along the riverbank, swishing her tail lazily behind her. Another boring day in Giaku...

[glow=blue,2,800]The air over the riverbank some yards ahead suddenly seemed to darken, and arcs of shadow energy began playing across the ground. Tendrils of black mist appeared out of nowhere, spiralling and twisting slowly together, gradually forming an orb of shadow over five feet across. The orb stilled fo a moment, then exploded, blasting a sizable cloud of dust into the air. A few seconds later, a stunningly beautiful female wolf with glossy black fur and three silvery-grey stripes along her face staggers from the cloud, coughing and spluttering on the dust.[/glow]

Mascamora stopped as she noticed the air began to darken. She sensed something.. though she wasn't sure what at this point. She lowered her stance, nose curling up in a snarl and she prepared to attack if there were something worthy of such. Instead, a wolf came stumbling out, seeming as though she had been caught in whatever that was. Mascamora was skeptical, raising a slight brow. It was not so hard to believe that this wolfess would create the display just to come across as a helpless passerby. But considering the times... She gave in, moving over toward the female.
"Hey... are you okay?" she asked, moving to usher her away from the dust which was still settling and toward the river surface. "Drink some water... it'll help..." she advised. [/right]

[glow=blue,2,800]The black female followed Mascamora's lead down to the river's edge, letting the cool water clear her throat before speaking, her voice soft and gentle. "Thank you. I didn't expect the Gate's discharge to be that violent." She looked back at the blast area, where the dust had settled enough to reveal a wide, shallow crater in the ground. "I don't think I've ever put that much charge into the spell before, either. Where am I?"[/glow]

She had to admit she was rather curious about this particular wolfess, especially moreso after hearing what words came from her mouth. Gate? She glanced back toward the area when the other did. So this wolfess had created the commotion... but perhaps not for any devious reason. Still, time would tell. She looked back at the black one, and then, despite her desire to ask questions, answered the other's first. "You are in Giaku, land of the Druins," she stated simply. "And where are you coming from?" she asked.
She knew enough to gather that this female had done a teleportation of sorts. At least this was somewhat better than the last trespassing bunch, she silently thought to herself. Also, Masca silently found it somewhat ironic that there had been several cases where wolves moving from one place to another somehow ended up in Giaku... especially since Shinkou was actually the center of magical aura so to speak. Pushing that aside...
The albino princess added on, "Who might you be, then?" [/right]

[glow=blue,2,800]The black female bowed respectfully before answering. "I am Lunara tsan Esanae'Val, daugter of Snow and Vyrn tsyr Ny'caltas, of the Western Taoi Ruins. And you are...?" Luanra resettled herself as she spoke, staying at ease, but ready to bolt if this being turned hostile. None of her defensive abilities had surfeced yet, and she still wasn't all that good at using her Shadowed Fire, which was her one offensive spell so far, so escape would be her best chance. Hopefully, though, she wouldn't need to.[/glow]

OoC: So.. roughly how old is Lunara, out of curiosity? xD
The princess sat back slightly now, feeling somewhat more at ease, in turn. "A pleasure to meet you, perhaps." Her name was pretty, unique, somewhat like her own. There was something about this female she liked... despite her present uncertainty. Some of that was only due to high guard after years of training. "I am Mascamora, daugher of Moria and Endymion Tartarus Apollo.... princess of Giaku." She wondered briefly if it were even necessary to use full names... especially since her father in no way associated himself with his ancestry. She pushed the thought aside.
For the first time, Mascamora found herself now wondering if keeping her status a secret might have been a good idea. Normally, she thrived on demanding respect from those she could and scaring the crap out of trespassing loners... but this little female had most certainly caught her attention more than the norm and she didn't want to make her act differently around her. Too late now...
"So tell me about this Gate," she said, gesturing in the direction from which Lunara had just come. "Is it one created by magic or is it one anyone in particular might pass through by chance?" Masca definitely felt this was necessary information, though she was also asking out of a bit of nosiness.

[[About a month in this thread, give or take a few days. Sorry for the short post, by the way. Muse issues.]]
[glow=blue,2,800]"It's a warp spell I know, called Shadow-Gate. As far as I know, I'm the only-" She suddenly cut herself off, her ears twitching as she looked around, shadow energy crackling over her fur. "We're being watched..."[/glow]

Rosie looked at both wolves. So now she knew one was a princess and the other... well she wasn't sure. It was strange for a pup to be able to summon such power. And now Rosie knew she was in the lands named Giaku. Of course, being a human probably did not make her a tresspasser. Well in her eyes she wasn't. After all, humans wandered everywhere so why would this be an exception.
Rosie thought the shadows hid her well but she never anticipated the pup to sense her. She thought about which form she should take. Her wolf form, or her human form? In the end, Rosie chose her wolf form. The shift took several seconds and in place of a human was a wolf. She stepped out of the shadows that concealed her and smirked. "Well I never thought a pup would have such enhanced sensing abilities. And powerful teleportation powers." Rosie walked around the wolves, as if stalking them. She then found a ledge and jumped onto it. She looked into the pup whose name was Lunara with her strange eyes. Bright orange swirls that looked like they were moving on a background of hazel. Many would be in a sort of trance, but Rosie was not sure about this pup. She seemed... too grown up. After several moments, she switched her gaze to the princess. Would she be tempted to gaze into those mysterious eyes of hers? All the while, Rosie was grinning, enjoying this strange company. Would they know what she truely was? She made sure to cover herself in many scents to block out her give-away but Rosie was not sure it would be enough. She then closed her eyes, breaking eye contact and looked down at the river.

Mikuto had been watching the wolves converse. (in a figurative sense obviously, he was blind.) He was intrigued by Lunara's shadow powers. They were clearly much different and much more powerful than his own. He felt an odd presence with his heat sense. A living body of which he had never seen before hovered on the edge of his magical "vision." But to his surprise, the figure faded and morphed in his infrared radar. The creature settled onto a completely normal wolf body. He was highly confused, but forced himself to push it away. 'I see with magic, not with my eyes,' Mikuto thought to himself. 'Magic can make mistakes.' Though this did not sate his curiosity. He began to feel slightly uncomfortable watching from afar. It seemed too much like spying, and he had more honor than that. Driven forward just as much by his curiosity and by his shame of Lunara feeling his presence, he revealed himself. "G-Greetings." Mikuto stuttered. He was rather antisocial, and being around other wolves made him nervous. "I sincerely ap-pologize for watching you. I m-meant no offense." He looked sheepishly at the other wolves, resisting the urge to scratch at his empty eye socket. This was a very off-putting nervous habit of his that he was trying very hard to break.

OoC: Oh ok, Adurnak.. haha for some reason I thought she was a bit older but it's all good XD I bet Masca looks ginormous to her DX lol
Mascamora felt a sense of relief when Lunara said it was a spell... it truly was only coincidence then that so many had found their way into Giaku, in most cases without intent. Yet suddenly, Mascamora sensed the presence of others and rose from her seated position. Just as she was feeling it, Lunara spoke it. This one truly was sharp for her age... It truly did bother her somewhat... this age of peace. Mostly just because of the fact more and more lone wolves seemed to feel comfortable moving freely on their territory. This wasn't Shinkou, dammit. But then, the Druins had fought for a long time to prove their worth outside of their demon heritage. Suddenly a thought flitted through her mind of her curiosity about her likeness to her father. It was gone in an instant, however.
Yes, she quickly picked up on the fact the next female wasn't wolf entirely. She didn't mention it at that moment. She didn't like the way she looked at Lunara, however, nor did she like the way she talked to her. Yet suddenly another was present... this one seemed more harmless. But what seems isn't always what is, either. "Greetings indeed," Mascamora stated, looking at each newly approached wolf in a suspicious fashion. "Perhaps as you both have learned our identities, such is needed from you." Her tail swished slightly and she waited for the others to respond.

Mikuto bowed. "My apologies, princess. I am Mikuto, a newly appointed scout. I know I'm a bit old to be a rookie, but... Well I required more training than most." He scratched at his empty eye, slightly embarrassed.

[glow=blue,2,800]The energy arking across Lunara's fur intensified as first Rosie, then Mikuto showed themselves. Mikuto she wasn't too worried about; he clearly answered to Mascamora. Rosie, though... There was something very wrong about her, something that had Lunara's every instinct screaming at her in warning. Hackles raised, she snarled at the new female, seeming to forget she was a pup.
Then all at once she wasn't.
In a blast of dark energy, Lunara shifted to her true form, a lupine being four feet tall at the shoulder, with black wings, blade-like talons, and a long tail tipped with a jagged blade. Her eyes, now irridecent yellow with horrizontally-slit pupils, seemed to burn with power.[/glow]

Mikuto jumped back in shock. His senses detected massive amounts of energy radiating from Lunara, and was he startled when his heat sight revealed an entirely new being. This wolf clearly had more power than he had ever experienced before! If it was even fair to call her a wolf. There was something very sinister about this. Pulling his lips back to better reveal his saber like teeth, he snarled, stepping toward this "wolf." Mikuto placed himself between Lunara and Mascamora. He was not a guard, but protecting your superiors is a duty to all. He spoke, his voice strong and confident for the first time. "There is no need for hostility. Stand down."

The energy that pulsed through the air was enough to warn Rosie to get away. Without thinking, she shifted into her human form. Her gaze fell onto a beast. A beast of power. One everyone should bow down to. There was an eiree grace to this... wolf. A beauty, unmatched by anyone. It was this that made Rosie relax a little. "There is no need for hostility. Stand down."
She didn't look at the wolf whilst she spoke. "She is not being hostile. It was a natural change." Rosie's eyes searched for the darkest shadows. If she was wrong, she would be prepared. Those shadows could save her life. Her black hair hid her face from prying eyes whilst letting her see what was happening. Things just got more complicated.
