The traveling hurt Moon's paws. It also hurt more, not knowing where in the hell you're going. Moon sighed, letting out a long breathe. Then the heat made her cough a bit. She looked ahead and saw a land where she could rest a bit. She slowly began to walk towards the land. Then she stopped in her tracks. There may be more wolves here. I have to be careful about how comfortable I get. She walked slowly, with more caution of where she was going.
Once she got to the land she looked around, observing it. It didn't seem like it was so bad. She knew there were other wolves here, but she didn't care. As long as they kept their distance. She looked around one more time before finding a shady tree to sit under. She padded towards the tree, leaving her paw prints beghind her. Then she sighed in relief, as she stepped into the shade.
She plopped down in the shade and curled up alittle into a ball. She kept her ears up, just incase a wolf got curious.

OOC: Keep in mind that Koto Shoku is set in a vast, old jungle-y forest... n.n
"There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls."
--George Carlin
Thick blankets of silver and lavender cloud whisked away into the night, leaving behind only a trace of murky grey. It was not quite midnight, but the night-beasts are already alert and active, creeping through the shadowworld with nimble, silent feet. The thick, old forest remained still, holding it's breath as they observed a white crescent moon, making it's peak in the center of the starry sky. But no creature within Koto Shoku's depths could see it. There was little light to be seen there, especially at night. The forest was so old that the canopies joined their gnarled branchy hands and twisted vines together, blotting out most of the sun and the moon.
Something lurked among the quiet beasts. Something old and wise, a bearer of many secrets and darkness. The Lady of the Night as many called her, who observed her before, but was wise to never approach. She was a beast of shadow and curses. Superstition and fear surrounded her, because of what she was. Misunderstood, yet intriguing. Perhaps her beauty was a lure for unwary souls. Perhaps she was an ugly demon inside, lying in wait, waiting to be freed.
The old forest became thicker. A jungle. The dark-pelted wolf paused on a patch of dead forest litter, lifting her extravagant wings to stretch them out a little. They ached, and so did the joints in her knees. She swiveled her bushy head, the beads in her mane clinking softly together. Two marvelous amethysts glimmered and glinted on her physique. They felt heavy around her neck and between her sultry sapphire eyes. These eyes shifted in color so suddenly. They became a soft lavender as she dropped her gaze, but when she picked it up again, they became a cool blue hue.
Perhaps roving packs have crossed through this old forest; a recent scent in the ground suggested it had been done at least. Oracle's ears sharply rose. Another scent was mixed with the roving pack's, but it was fresher. Her instinct as a secretive old wolf was to disappear fast, and disappear she tried. She had no interest in mingling with locals, partly due to laziness, partly due to liking personal space. She was definitely selfish with her time.
It was too late to disappear. Oracle did not see the tuft of wolf fur behind the old, towering tree. She happened upon her as thus: Oracle turned and padded hastily and quietly as an old wolf could over crinkly forest litter, but when she rounded a corner, there Moon was, alert.
"Oh!" Oracle couldn't help but emit a surprised sound. She was a bit embarrassed, actually. She cursed her senses. As each day goes by, they continue to fail her. She relaxed her rigid fur, and closed her luxurious wings to her body as she stood and quietly appraised this wolf she had yet to know was named Moon.

With the slightest noise from a distance. Moon opened her eyes. She glanced around. Then her eyes landed on a female wolf with wings. She closed her eyes one more time before rising up and yawning. She got low and stretched, cracking her joints. Her paws cracked. Then she sat up straight. Then she looked at the female wolf.
She observed her, before speaking in a calm voice. "Hello.." She had wondered if this wolf had been watching her sleep or if she had just appeared. She looked at the ground and then she started walking towards the female. She didn't know if this wolf was a threat or just a wanderer.
She slowly backed away. "I don't recall seeing you here before. My mistake if this was your spot. She looked at the female with curious eyes. Then she looked back at the tree, where she had layed. Then she turned away and began to walk away.

Oracle blinked, and that was the end of her appraisal. She narrowed her eyes at being addressed like this. She was an old wolf, and old wolves tend to demand respect. Not to be blown off like last month's rotten bone! "Not to be rude, but logically, neither of us would have ever seen each other before. Otherwise, our tails would go crazy like a couple of excited pups seeing their first solid meal, don't you think?"
She tutted and turned her head, feeling sore all over in her joints. Walking tended to be a little taxing after a while. Even while talking, she sounded winded. "Technically speaking, you are in my spot. Perhaps a few paw-steps from the graveyard that is my home. You can come inside my cave that is just yonder tombstones, if you'd like, to have your future told. You look like you could use a companion for the day."
She wasn't entirely polite at the end, but Oracle was not without her manners. If anything, it was her last offer to a fellow wandering soul; and that was something she could respect. Oracle was not the kind to go without pity, unlike her sister, who had a far more darker heart than she's ever known. Yes. She could sense loneliness in this one. There was hardly ever a wolf known that would choose to walk his path alone.
