Blue skies give way
As the darkness falls
Footfall and panting
Echo 'cross the timberland hall
Blending to shadows
A whisper of fear
Running as one
Loving bodies drawn near
The snow starts to fall
Fluttering forth to the ground
The storm is coming
A new joy is found
Whirlwinds of crystals
Frigid gems of the night
Soft to the touch
Spiraling endlessly in flight
Dancing and playing
Humor thick in the air
Then turning to hunt
For that's why they're there
Sinew'd limbs crashing forth
Plowing on into the night
Tongues lolling outward
Anticipating the fight
Survival is key
But love is there, too
Two seperate, now one
Begin life anew
Rushing forth through in splendour
Their prey now in sight
The beast knows it will end
Soon surrenders to their might
The crushing wind howls
But the night is so long
Whelps back home prique their auds
Straining to hear the distant song
Dials back in glory
Victory cries echo west
Flying forth to the seas
Remote lands to its rest...
