OOC: Anyone may reply to this. =D The wind howled like a mourning dog this summer night. The round moon was usually covered behind veils of dense clouds, but would not hide Tor's eye peircing the souls of all beneath her.
As a creature prowled through the wood, she became obviously unaware of the strong wind. She could hardly feel it, due to the trees blocking such element. Only one destination lingered in her mind: to find a way out of this labyrinthine paradise of neverending tree.
In the dark, even a wolf can see her beneath Tor's round eye. She had a curious pelt of velvet blue, like the surface of a sapphire stone caught in the burnished sun. A mane of hair, ending in a creamy-white hue, cascaded over her shoulders and her breast. Her tail was long and slender, like a wolf's tail should be, whereas they can be bushy too. The tip of her tail, and her paws were white. Her rather bony rump was speckled with tiny natural white spots, as if white sand were tossed at her, and wouldn't come off.
Her eyes glowed in the darkness. The left eye was a charming blue, unlike the other. The other was a milky white colour. It was obvious that she was blind in this eye. But such a mishap of her face could not tarnish her curious beauty. She had a round face, as if she lived in the arctic, and her paws were large, and rather fluffy. Even her ears, which were a bit long and fuzzy, ending in a tuft, were dipped in white hues.
This remarkable wolf came by the name of Lothlórien. She traveled from the North, but none who knew of her past could know that she was a Golden-Wood wolf, a breed unknown to many, but a traveler nonetheless. The scent of wolves were incredibly strong. Instead of waiting for an Alpha, like most would, she boldy entered, and was now meandering into the perilous forests. OOC: Argh. Kiku, I'm going to change Lothlórien's name (the Lothlórien you know). This Lothlórien is a different creature, just to let you know. I'm thinking of a name that'll suit Arashi's little friend. =D

Long, thick golden fur rippled and tossed about in the howling wind. A small shiver could be seen, making its way along this young wolfess' body. Her long tail, that was neither bushy nor slender, was curled about her, trying to keep her warm. Eye lids suddenly lifted, revealing deep blue orbs beneath, that peared about. Ears suddenly perked up, listening carefully. A round head, lifted, long slender maw pointed into the wind. Nose, sniffed as scents filled her nostrils. She rose, standing on long sturdy limbs.
Long, round body, more slender towards the rump, moved not, as her senses came alive. Her round head sat on a long, well arched neck, that was more bushy than most of the rest of her body. Long, slender limbs, that contained great muscles, stood on regular paws that fit them well. Shorter, white fur covered her limbs and paws from the knees down, and most of her muzzle, as longer white fur covered quite a bit of the tip of her tail. Large golden, eagle's wings were folded across her back, aiding to keep her warm, though the feathers rippled and tossed about.
She took in a deep breath, letting out a sigh and she went forth, going at a mere trot and heading towards what she knew was another wolf. She nodded, glad to know that another was near. For she had been in this wood quite some time, with not a sight nor a sound of another, but her prey. She let out not a sound from her lips, just yet for she knew not whether this other was friendly or not. She knew it not to be a hellbound, or other kind from the enemy, but she did sense something familiar of the other.
As her pelt was of golden hue, there was not much use in trying to hide, as also, the other would have most likely known of her presence. Indeed, she was upwind from the one that she was going to meet, but that meant nothing much. At last she could see a moving form ahead, and was slightly relieved, though she tried her best not to yet show herself.

On she trotted, wincing due to brambles and thorns clinging to her fluffy paws. Her tail even stood firmly against her hindlegs, despite the heat; it was incredible here in the forest. The summer air was stifflingly hot, thus allowing Lothlórien's tongue to drape over her bottom lip like a limp sponge, and drip a bit. She'd have to find water - and fast. Lack of water ached her dusty innards, and her sides began to heave. It has been at least fourty-three miles since she had crossed the first borders. There simply must be a creek nearby.
Her good eye peered across the tree-filled land, and she couldn't help but to admire the beauty within this forest. Birds sang somewhere in the canopies, where the morning sun blazed down upon them. Indeed, the night ebbed and day began, the golden sun smiling down upon all.
Thick moss covered most of the forest floor, white moss-flowers poking out here and there. Curious vines wound around the base of trees. Ahead, there was a large willow, thick with bushy emerald boughs, lush, and draped over to what seemed to be a creek bed. A handfull of its boughs touched the surface, often making the running creek ripple more.
Lothlórien's heart leapt. She picked up her pace, scrambling over the damp mossy stones and dried golden leaves to reach the edge of the creek. Here, she plopped down onto her belly, with one foot into the creek. She plunged her entire head into the surface, and drank deeply, feeling the cool water slide down her throat, softening the hardness that seemed to develope in her lungs.
"Ahh," muttered she happily, "that's better." Her pleasurable growl was deep, but still femenine, like the roaring creek bed itself. But as she shook her mane of hair out of her face, she'd prick her fuzzy, wet ears, listening intently to a noise that issued somewhere to her far right. Someone, or something, seemed to be coming her way... Or, at least, hiding somewhere in the foliage, looking right at her. Her instinct told her to flee, but her bravery held her rooted by the creek bed. Instead, she'd gaze with her good eye at the foliage, where she'd guess where this strange creature may be.

Blue orbs peared intently at the other. Dabria was unsure exactly what to expect. As the other drank, she could begin a feel of thirst inside herself as well. She sighed, Perhaps, I should be lest judging, she thought. This was no hellbound, nor enemy, but it was something she had never seen before.
She shrugged and waited in the brush a few more moments. At last she moved, making only a small sound here and there as a bunch of leaves would crunch under her paws, or a branch brush her side.
She approached, her golden form coming from the shadows to reveal itself. She smiled warmly at the other as she approached her. "Greetings to you," she said softly and kindly, "I am known as Dabria," she said with a grin, sitting down and pearing at her curiously.
She turned to dip her maw in the cool water, lapping easily at the water. She raised her head, her mouth full of water, and swallowed. It refreshed her greatly, as she felt it cool her body. She wagged her tail, perking up her ears.

Lothlórien's heart leapt faster within each moment as the foliage rustled, exerting a creature that was no more than a wolf. Lothlórien then issued a tiny "oh!" in comprehension, rising onto her worn legs, lifting her muzzle. "Hello there." She spoke louder, with more confidence, now in knowing that this obtuse creature was simply a wolf. And in finding this out, she rose her muzzle a little higher, her round head tilted some. She watched as this wolf approached to the creek bed, but looked away, ears falling to her head idly, as the wolf drank her own fill.
"So," she began, feeling that the silence should be shattered by some form of conversation, "have you traveled through the wood much? I have myself for about fifty miles from the beginning of the territory... and... argh..." Lothlórien rose her paw out of the creek's water, for her paws had just accumulated bits of mud. Such ailment hid her white paw. She placed her paw in front of her, though, of course, after licking the mud off.

Dabria grinned and nodded. "I do not know exactly how far I have traveled in these woods, but I know that they are beautiful and wondrous," she said, looking at the brush in which she had just approached from and then looking back at the other. "You have traveled quite far. How far before you entered this land? Where do you come from?" she asked curiously.
She gazed down at the flowing water following it with her eyes a ways and then looking across it at everything on the other side. As she gazed at it for a long while, she soon went back around until her eyes again fell on the other wolfess. "I am sorry, but I didn't catch your name," she said with a smile.

"Oh, do you?" inquired Lothlórien testily, replying to this wolf after she agreed how beautiful the forest seemed. She was then returning her gaze to this impertinent wolf. The blue-hued wolf didn't know why that she herself had to resort to be so rude at this moment. Perhaps it was because hunger tugged at her belly, for she had not found nor caught a decent meal in the last week, and the effects were starting to be displayed by Lothlórien's attitude. It may also be because of the fact that most wolves she had met barely had a personality; if they did, then all they would be is talkative, goody-goody two-paws that Lothlórien didn't like too much. It was like all the wolves had a cliched personality. Oh, the irony! It was the fact that such wolves looked at life in such a glorious light, and speaking in such an airy-fairy way... "Oh, the woods are so beautiful! How I would like to live in them!" This quite annoyed her, and would then and there would like to smack these kind of wolves across the muzzle, and growl bluntly, "Look at life differently, and you may see that there are wolves dying of hunger every day, and forests dying by demon-like two-legged beasts, because they hack down trees like animals themselves!"
The blue wolf looked away from the other, and did not respond right now. Lothlórien found she didn't feel much like talking anymore. But, to be perfectly blunt, Lothlórien would respond with a few simple words, chosen in such a case to be quick like a whiplash.
"I am a Golden-Wood wolf, and my name is Lothlórien."

Dabria watched her intently, catching her tone of voice with sharp ears. She nodded at the other, grinning when she heard of what specie she was. Golden-Wolf. Interesting. I wish ma had told me more of those lands, she thought. She sighed, sitting back on her haunches and curling her tail about her hinds. She looked over her shoulder at her golden pelt, then at the other, whom's pelt was of blue. She shrugged and then looked back at the forest. She looked down at her stomach as a low growl came from it.
She had been in this forest long enough to know where good food was, though she did want to know what was beyond the forest. She shrugged and looked at the other. She stood and began trotting back to the brush when she looked back. "I'm going for a hunt, if you want to come," she said, waiting.

"What's the use?" she muttered. "There is not a thing for miles around, can't you see? They can smell us in the stifling hot heat. In the winter, it's different, but even then it's hard to hunt." She cleared her throat, calling after the other. "Wolves cannot hunt in the forest. You know that."

"Yeah, but I know where places are that have food," said she. Alas her mind was full of memories, and she knew not of what she said. She gazed about with wonder. "And, aren't there clearings in every forest?" she asked. She did not realize that the few times afore when she caught a rabbit or squirrel was merely chance. She frowned, "I know, we also be given away from our colors." said she, eyes now fallen to the ground at her paws. She sighed, "Surely there is someway." Though whether such was or not, she apparently did not know it. "How do you live in the Golden-Wood?" she asked curiously.

"Argh...," she moaned, "but I havn't found a clearing in a while. Lets just keep going then, and go as quietly as we can." She paused, listening to her new comrade. "Well, speaking of which, I have a brilliant idea. Cover yourself with leaves and twigs. That will enable you to be like the trees themselves. That is how we've hunted in the Golden-wood." She then muttered happily to herself, "Why did I not think of that before?"

Dabria nodded, wagging her tail. She turned and bounded off into the forest. She looked about, searching for particular kinds of leaves, so as to not look as though she just plopped a bunch on. She carefully covered herself in the leaves and twigs, making sure that they wouldn't come off. She then headed back to the river. She sat quietly, looking about. She giggled slightly at her reflection in the water, and then began making her way foward.

OOC: Ya don't mind if I cut in here, do you, fellas?Chrysalis had always loved the woodlands, especially that of the sacred Shinkou. Nature flourished in the shadows of the timber, and he adored the silence that settled ominously o'er the residing trees, no harm to be done. Some considered it to be disconcerting, whilst he, however, found it tempting and comforting. The mornings cast the woods into a serene glow of virdid hues, for the sunlight of Helios filtered through the emerald leaves and cast the shimmering rays down below. The dew from the previous even' made the grasses sparkle as they caught the magnificent auroras, and the night shadows were still alive. The evenings brought the winds from the traveling storms from the West, and the boughs high above creaked and danced with each breath, and the sky was painted a bloody hue, the yellow and orange mingling to blend into a superb orange that too filtered through the protective canopy of the timber. The nights were cast into a sublime darkness, and the whispers of the wind were but wings against the visage of the hunter, weaving to and fro between the mighty oaks like a shadow. It offered him peace that none other could offer.
Chrysalis himself was an ebon brute. Cerise orbs shone brilliantly, like a dual seal of flames flickering in the far distance. His sleek pelt did little to hide the stalwart sinew beneath, his limber pistons holding his frame high and proud. A thick ruff of mane fur, and his harks forever pinn'd forth in an insistant plea to catch all that went on around himself. He had lived in the wolven domain for a long time, the Shinkou Forest was his home. But he had never seen this pair before...
Hidden in the shadows of the wood, sitting inches from a tree trunk, he locked his orbs upon the two faemoras lounging by the brook that flowed through the Shinkou woods. His breaths were soft and slow, almost inaudible, but could still possibly be heard. His talons were residing comfortably 'pon the black earth, for he meant no harm or to attack, but was interested. One of the she-wolves had mentioned being a "Golden-Wood Wolf", and that increased his curiousity tenfold. But the faes were quite pretty, he found himself noting, but tried to not focus on that. He watched in an eerie silence, always inquisitive to the happenings 'round him. And the meeting of the two faes was definitely interesting.

Dabria was doing different things with her reflection, and having herself some fun, laughing and smiling all the while. She seemed unaware of anyone but herself at that moment, her tail wagging happily. She smiled and turned, as if trying to show someone something, then she stopped.
Her senses now became alert as she looked at the forest before her. She was sure she had seen another, but was it so? Her ears were perked up and listening intently, her eyes scanning o'er the brush in which she had spent quite a while living in now. Her maw slowly lifted higher, nostrils flared as she sniffed the air, hoping to catch the other's scent. She was disappointed to know that she was upwind from that direction and so she sighed and returned to merely looking about.
After a while, she stopped, looking back with furrowed brows and then shook her head and shrugged. Perhaps her eyes were playing tricks on her. As she again looked at her reflection, she seemed to ignore it and she turned once more. "Is anyone there?" she asked, plainly, scanning the land before her.
