Quickly he came. Silent as the barn owl sneaking upon it's prey, swift as the bat in the night. Oh how many moons had it been since he last saw his friend? This creature did not know. Yet there were many things he wanted to discuss with his comrade.
It was as if a ghost was prowling over the grasses. A pelt of radiant white, tinted with light blue, moved within the playful winds. A smirk came across black wolven lips as the creature paused. In his mind he knew it was not smart too sneak up on an alphen. So it was that the being sat upon haunches and gave a short yip.
This being was the head of the Defenders, Icewolf. Recentely he had returned from his travels and wished to discuss with Yueh some important matters. Once he had made himself known he padded over to his long time friend.

Yueh's left ear tilted to the side, because the approach of another was heard, obviously. Laying in an upward position, sort of how sphinxes lay, he'd allow his muzzle to point in the direction from which Icewolf was treading. Soon, both fuzzy ears pointed forward.
"You're late," said Yueh seriously, looking sternly at his friend. He'd then ease himself back up to his front legs, in a sitting position, flashing his tail imperiously.

Icewolf raised an eye brow before sitting upon those heavily muscled haunches. His icey eyes looked upon Yueh, bowing his head apologetically. "I am sorry. I had to wait to sneak away from my new mate. I don't want her to get tangled up in my problems you know?"
There seemed to be heavy matters upon the mascu's mind. Yet he kept them to himself, knowing in time that he would be asked upon them.

The alpha rolled his bright eyes, scoffing. "Excuses, excuses. Typical." Suddenly, the old alpha broke into a smile. "I was simply kidding, ol' friend. In our days of late, we have seen dark skies and dehydrating wolves. The river is running dry, obviously. The grass is no longer a confortable bed. The caves are overrun by strange animals." He simply looked at Icewolf, running his tongue over his dry lips. "We're moving, once a new Alpha has been chosen. So, my dear Icewolf, if you've any bad news, save it for when we cross the borders of our new lands. Other than that, before my retirement, anything else is acceptable. Our enemy is quiet, too quiet perhaps, but we can avoid them for a while nonetheless."

Icewolf smiled as he listened to his friend talk. He had known the alphen for over half his life now. Yet when he demanded him not to mention trouble Icewolf winced visibly. "Um Yueh there is a small problem. This one can not wait until after we move. The defenders..they're falling apart. Ever since Tagger broke off and killed all of the remainders of the families we were trying to help...well the others just don't see the use in staying together. Not to mention Deathblood. He nearly went with Tagger on that quest of murder. You and me and him are the only ones who know of his fate. What do we do when his time comes? This is not good. When a pack moves they are most vulnerable, I learned that on the war campaign. I wanted to defenders to be there to help everyone. Yet now it looks as if the group is going to split before then. I am truly sorry to bring you this trouble." He knew how much Yueh desired to be at rest. Even Icewolf wanted the same as him, even though youth was still his.

An audable sigh issued forth. His chest rose and fell, as if he were biding more thinking time. At that instant, his ears would ease ont the back of his head.
"I have lived at least half the age a true Moroki can live: I reach to my thousandth year, in a few more centuries. But before I reach that age, my time here is only a few more years before the rest is passed on to the Spirit World, where I shall walk, and then pass on to my fathers. I say this, because I have lived for a very long time, Icewolf." The Alpha's head rose and fell with each word, as if speaking dramatically, though his eyes glared at Icewolf. "I know that we are vulnerable while traveling to the new lands." As he said this, he said it somewhat defensively, his eyes glowing. "We will obviously defend our pack. As for our fates..." He trailed off.
"All we have now is hope. There is not much we can do, alas..." OOC: I gotta go for now. Be back later on. =)

Icewolf nodded solemnly as he listened to his long time friend speak. "I could tell from the moment we met my friend that you had lived for a long time and that you were very wise. I have known you for over half my life, I am but a blink to you. See you can live for a long time before passing. But me. Well my greatest fear is just dieing and being forgotten. There will probably be no reminders to the world of me. Nothing but long forgotten tales..I am not nearly that old yet I feel it. I feel as if I am to die soon. But there is one thing I know my friend. That for you I would walk into the middle of a battle field and fight my way out. If it need be I will protect the whole pack as it moves single handedly. The defenders may have looked up to me as a leader at one point but I am not leader." The warrior shook his head and smiled. "I never was. I just have a way of keeping the spirits of other's up you know? I take orders, I don't give them."
A sigh escaped his lips as he looked to the heavens. "Jeese Yueh. What is going to happen. I mean Deathblood...if he didn't know his fate maybe he not be such a problem. Damn his father for whispering that pup's fate with his last breath..damn him."
