She smirked lightly and held in a giggle. She wiggled her butt in the air for a moment, getting ready to pounce. Legs moved slightly, getting into a comfortable postion before she lept forward with a mighty cry. SHe was aiming to pounce him on the back adn then dart off again.

He was pushed to the ground before the attacking force dashed off again: he laid there for a moment, surprised by DJ's pouncing, before he staggered to his paws and raced after the shewolf, laughing.

Dj smiled with pride as she brought Engai down. She ran a few feet and paused. Instantly she spun around. Forepaws laying flat on the ground and butt resting high in the air. Bushy tail even proceeded to wave like a proud banner. 'Come and get me.' her body language stated as her front paws spanked the ground. Her pink tongue lulled out and she watched and waited expectently.

He gave a mock pout as he staggered back up to his feet and he attempted a few false sniffles, though he knew DJ would not be tricked into empathy by such an obvious attempt of deceit and the face tears quickly disappeared as a smile crossed his features. He leapt after the wolfess, n longer trying to catch and actually putting all of his effort forward to capture the speedy shewolf.

He was right, the sympathy thing didnt work. That was her own trick and it was hard to be fooled by it. But as he leapt forward she let out a small 'eep' and bounced backwards. She gave a small chuckle, that was all too close. ''Come on Engai, getting slow in your old age?' She teased winking a chocolate eye at him.

He pouted at her remark but it caused no actual upset, he had realized he was getting old sometime after his niece had had a whelp, but he was still young enough to dash about after DJ. When he nearly caught her, he had laughed with victory until she had stumbled back and escaped him, the wink she gave him was a good replacement for not having caught her. Engai just laughed and continued the chase.

Well she couldnt be graceful for very long. Paying too much attention to the one wolf c hasing her, she failed to see the tree behind her, as well as the root on the ground. She was ready to speak again but then her rear paws hit the root. She gave a small yelp in surprise and the next she knew she was sitting down on the ground, the breath knocked out of her and her rear paws resting up on the trees vien.

Engai was at Dream Jewel’s side within seconds, his eyes filled with concern and empathy as his gaze brushed over the shewolf; he leaned forward to nuzzle her, “Are you ok?”

Dj looked up at him and gave a wide grin. 'Ill have a sore backside for a few days.' She commented shifting slightly. Looking at her paws she thought for a moment then carefully began to untangle herself from the pain in the..well the root.

He nuzzled her, hoping to distract her from the pain in her bottom before he stepped back so that DJ could move away from that darn tree, concern and slight empathy within his eyes, "Perhaps we should continue this chasing at another time."

( Poor DJ...*Gives a giant bandage that has random anime characters on it*)

Dj nodded and untangled herself. She glared at the tree and stuck her tongue out, feeling that it did it on purpose. As she began to walk she had a small limp but soon that went away as they got further from the tree. 'Can we stil say I win?' She asked looking at Engai with a slight since of hope in her brown eyes.

Engai couldn’t help but roll his eyes at DJ’s question but he gave her a warm smile, “Sure, you so won.”

Dj laughed lightly then licked his nose lovingly. 'Missed you.' She whispered continuing to nuzzle him. (erm..-goes to curb of sidewalk- -scrapes you off-)

Memories of his journey floated back into his mind, he had left to search for Numl yet had returned empty-handed and a slight pang of guilt coursed through him; of course, the pain quickly vanished as Dream Jewel nuzzled him, she was the only wolf who could make him forget about his brother. He bowed his head in a somewhat apology while giving the wolfess a sad smile, “I promise never to leave again and I missed you more than anything.”

He knew that sooner or later the haunting question of Numl’s location would return to him, but he could worry about that later, he just needed to spend time with the love of his life for a while.

Dj gave a gentle smile which made her look a lot younger. 'Dont promise that Engai. I expect you to leave sometimes, but you do have to promise to come back.' She nodded, feeling that thats what needed to be promised. BEsides, she always had confidence he would come back. [/size]
