He felt guilty, he always felt guilty whenever he spent too much time away from Dream Jewel, yet he had been busy searching for Numl and she had slipped to the very back of his mind. Now that DJ was the center focus of his thoughts, he was looking for her, and praying to the Heavens that she hadn't found someone else. "Please, please let her be alone."

'Let who be alone?'
The question came out meek, almost as if she didnt want to know but felt it appropriate to ask. Eyes of a lush brown watched the figure of Engai slowly slip away further away. The wolfess had caught the scent of the young wolf from a meadow. She regonized it instantly and went to follow it. She had only now just caught up with him and he asked the question. Her chocolate fur rippled with the wind and reflected the sun lightly. DreamJewel stood still, waiting and carefully watching Engais response. She wasnt sure if she should smile and cry, or be angry with him. After all, this wasnt the first time he had left her to search for something else.

Engai jumped slightly, surprised by the sudden sound and appearance of Dream Jewel, before he let an apologetic smile spread over his features, "Hello, Dream Jewel. Have you been well?" He took a step forward, to greet her.

She watched him for a moment then gave a modest shrug. 'Kind of those could be better, could be worse things.' She shifted slightly and glanced up at him. ''You?'

Engai took a step towards Dream Jewel and dipped his head slightly, trying to look cute and adorable, before he tilted his head up and licked her nose, "Better, now that I'm with you."

Dj gave a gentle smile as his tongue moved across her nose. 'Always nice to hear.' she stated then stepped forward. Deeply nuzzling him. It had been far far too long.

“I’m sorry for leaving you for such a long time, my brother has been missing of late and I had to search for him, his daughter asked me to and I couldn’t ignore her pleas, “Engai explained, telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth; Dream Jewel deserve to know his reasons for leaving her and he hoped she knew it would take drastic emergencies to tear him away from her.

She listened to him speak without interuption. He had been going an awful lot as of late. But how could she just sit back and ignore him? Turn away from him. Rich brown eyes blinked slowly and a smile formed upon the dark maw. 'I forgive you.' She stated in a quiet, singsong voice. 'But on one condition..' A mischevious glint shone in her deep eyes as well as the smirk that played on her maw.

“Condition? Name it, ”If accepting this deal meant having his beloved DJ forgive him, then he was willing to take the offer no matter what and to stay at her side for the rest of his life; the situation of him always running off and leaving Dream Jewel reminded him so much of the Fierce/Renicko incident and he prayed that this relationship never ended like that.

She stepped forward, her black lips resting against his ears. 'Catch me..' The words came out in such a quiet manner it was almost hard to miss. Quickly she pulled away a smile beaming on her face.

He blinked, surprised, before his face split into a grin and he skipped forward to chase Dream Jewel; he was going to try his hardest not to catch her too quickly, that would ruin the fun, but he wasn’t going to let her escape too easily either.

Dj glanced behind her then laughed as she noted Engai chase her. She took off. Her paws easily guiding her through the lightly densed forest. Though she was not running as fast as she normally did. Why spoil the fun now? He had all night to try and catch her and she would make sure it would take as long as possible.

He never really did play or dash about that much when he was a whelp, he didn’t even remember much of being a pup besides his slight evil phase and dealing with Numl’s selfish teenage angst; this was different, he was grown up and with the love of his life, he had all the time in the world to play this strange game of tag.

Dj moved around, snaking her way behind a large rock. There she crouched down and waited. Making her breathing deeper so as to stay more quiet. Patiently she waited for Engai to show himself.

She was fast, Engai had to admit that, and he nearly collided into a tree before he realized she was gone, “Dream Jewel? DJ? This is so unfair!”
