Thick, swirling dark clouds littered the sky, covering the sickle silver-gowned moon from view and blocking all source of light. A right wind picked up here and there, depositing night's cold, chilling the air and the land's occupants like rain drenching through fur. It was only obvious that an inevitable rain was to fall soon. The ominous clouds above told those below so, and the sky always told the truth.
In this decaying land, enveloped in thoughts of late, was a rather queer creature indeed. He was a bulky fellow, and indeed one of virile stance. The creature was a wolf, but not one that you see just around the corner in this dying land. He had the pelt of a sweet-rain, grey and blue colour, thin about his back and belly, yet thick around his neck. His tail were short and stockier, but nicely thick like his neck. Ears protruded from a wider head, with two very tall ears, tufted like a lynx's ears. They harkened to the sweetest of noises: such as the soft slapdoshed pitter-patting of rain falling in slow, heavy drops around him.
The creature's muzzle slopes nicely. It was of a fair size, like any wolf's. It was thick, but slender all the same, suggesting larger teeth than average within his skeleton. Even though he had thinner fur about his complexion, he was thick with muzzle, possessing broad legs and hindlegs. Quite a well-built, happily fed creature. He certainly never missed a meal. But he was not fat. Only an agreeable size.
It seemed like the creature was in a state of complete lassitude, falling into an abyss of peace and other thoughts untold behind glued lips. What may have seemed interesting about his character, was his eyes: they were crossed, a bit, like a large cat's, and slitted as well. Very bizarre, indeed. But such eyes are the epitome of fooling one's view: look closer, and one may find a hidden wiseness about them, almost an aged, affable look that made him quite a handsome fellow. And such pupils were the colour of the storms. It seemed like every turn, his eyes dispensed a different colour, such as grey-blue, sparkling silver, light blue, and sometimes a striking golden hue.
And here he lays, in the midnight-dew grass (though the grass was wilted and practically dead, but it felt good against his body), his head hanging, eyes closed shut in silent, almost sleepy thought. Perhaps none could be too bold to bother him.

The days were now longer, the dark of night shorter. The way it was prefered by many. The sun was now only beginning its decent down the bright blue sky. Clouds of the softest white floated across, lazily casting a shadow on the Gaia below it. Mountains of lush plant life loomed over head, they too casting their shadows towards the west. Infact, all shadows seemed longer then normal now. But it was fun all the same. The air was warm, yet a gentle enough breeze blew to run through the fur and cool the warm flesh that lay beneath the winter coats.
Agile grey paws beat the earth at a quick pace. Easily moving aroud rocks and fallen trees. They guided the small frame of the wolfess to weave around the trees that still stood proudly. Grey fur rippled with the natural wind, and the wind that she was causing. Ears rested back fully and tongue lulled out. Eyes of violet watched the unseen path that lay ahead of her, as the rest of the world around her was nothing but a blur of brown and greens.
Hydra moved as quick as she could. Running away from whatever troubles and monsters that were trying to catch her. Lungs expanded then contracted deeply and quickly, taking in as much air that was possible. Like some of the wolves in the lands, Hydra was a free spirit. She ran because she could, laughed because she wanted to, lived because she needed to.
Aimlessly she ran and without a purpose. The trees thined lightly and soon a clearing was seen. She smiled and picked up the pace, running right through the center. Then suddenly her smile was gone as she noted the large lump in the middle.
'Oh crap..' Was the last thing she thought of before she placed all four paws on the ground, stopping the dead run. Of course, things in motion tend to stay in motion unless acted upon by an oppisate force, and boy did her body wish to continue to run. She fell towards the ground, face first. Body rolling and chruning. Kicking up both dust, dew and dead grasses. A serious of oofs and acks escaped the rolling ball of grey before she came to a stop, a mere inch or two from the large cat like male.
Front paws lay outstretched in front of her, rear paws in the same fashion. She opened her purple eyes, the world spining before them.

Clouds were high above and a dark gray as the shadow of a wolven form crossed between the trees. What was left of the grass swayed back and forth in the stormy wind. A twig snapped under the wolfess' weight. Her paw jumped pack, not in pain, but in surprise. She looked questioningly around, blue orbs peering out, to see if anyone had heard anything. Seeing as no one appeared to have noticed, she continued.
Silvermoon trotted steadily and restlessly. As she moved along, she saw the two forms slightly to her side and infront of her. Her fur rippled back with her ears and her wings began to expand, increasing the spead of her endless flight as she broke into a run.
Reaching the two forms she slowed to a point where she nearly stopped. She sank down on her haunches and began slowly creeping up. A peace of the moon high ahead caught a glimps of her silvery fur, and cast a glowing light into the air, but only for a moment before it slipped away behind a cloud. She laid down and peered around waiting to see if anyone had seen her. Her tongue began to lull out and her tail curled up around her legs.
Her soft wolven eyes sharply caught a small movement. She gazed around still waiting for any sign of her not being noticed. She watched the small creature, scrambling around beside her, looking for any food that might be left. Waiting a second and observing it, she timed about the time it would be in range enough for her to move without to much change in position.
Reaching around, her jaws quickly snapped on the small helpless being. It began sqeaking in terror before it reached her sharp, gleaming fangs. A hungry stomach accepted the being with gratitude and she again returned to lying still and motionless, waiting quietly for any sounds or movements.

It was not quite morning yet. The night had only begun it's birth. The clouds were yet thicker, and rain more persistant, but the queer-looking wolf did not move from his post. His curiously metallic-silvery fur likewise changed colour like that of an aurora, but it is somewhat un-noticable, only if one would look quite closer one would be able to notice the slight change.
As his head hung, at first he did not realize the disturbances arising with two females approaching his midst. At first, a long, lynx-tufted ear tilted to the side, to show that he had either heard something or acknowledged the presence granted due to hearing. At that moment, cat-like eyes fluttered open, a wrinkle of his muzzle seen. He shook his head violently like a dog that had just climbed out of a lake, but indeed, he was quite drenched from the rain. "Bah" he scoffed, rising to his front powerful limbs so he may sit up properly. "Hullo, missies." he said gruffly without looking at them, their scent had already told him quite plainly that they were female. Alas, he was quite irked - females seem to have run the place. Once in a while he'd like to see someone of his own gender. He was tired of meeting females, whether it be of coincidence or if he was some kind of female magnet.
Rising fully now onto his back legs, his paws were thus seen planted firmly upon the decaying earth. The territory of Night Wolves Pack was remotely beautiful. It was rather remorse and dead-looking.

Hydra looked up with a very sheepish expression. A nervous laugh escaped opened jaws and she stood. 'Well that was fun.' She stated with a bright blush then began to step backwards. 'Twas nice meeting you and all, have a nice day.' With that she turned and ran away.

Silvermoon slowly watched the wolfess running away. She sat up from her lying position and gazed at her surroundings. She looked at the wolf who had spoken. She sighed. She stayed for a moment, as if undecided of what to do. "Umm, hi." It was all she could think of to say. She rose and began cautiously coming closer to the wolf. Her pace slightly quickened but she was waiting for any sign from the wolf to come or go. She was a very undecided wolfess and had always been troubled with making decisions, even the small ones.

Hyperíon lofted a wolfen brow some, as slitted cool-silver eyes fell on the female. Brows furrowed at this point as he displayed an un-impressed frown. "May I help you?" said he loudly, intending to inerrupt her. He was not quite a happy camper when an individual walked up to him like this in the rain. "It's raining; why aren't you under a tree? Or inside a warm cave?" He said this with an air of impatience.

She sat back, startled and confused. "No. As far as for shelter, I don't know. Besides, what did I do?" She asked it rather boldly. She was surprised at his reaction to her approach. "I suppose that means you expect me to leave then?" Boy, that was stupid, she thought to herself. She looked down and began licking her paw, that was now soaked and covered in mud. She looked up and her tail curled around her silvery legs. Her ears were perked up, waiting for the wolf's reply.
