She stared after him as he walked away from her, and she felt her heart soften a little from his warm and generous welcome, not to mention his compliment to her. She had not known kindness in a long time... She had toughened herself to block all mental hostilities, but to run from her problems. But with this brujo, she felt she did not need it. As he looked over his shoulder, encouraging her to follow, she hoisted herself atop all fours and plodded along, her fluffy ivory plumage swinging lazily behind her.

He smiled and wagged his tail when he saw her follow. He now saw her fully, as she was no longer hidden from his view. He marveled at her, looking over her intirely. He viewed over her ivory pelt and she didn't look that much out of shape, besides the fact he noticed she was rather thin. He then looked into her orbs and smiled. "Are you hungry?" he asked her, though he knew, or thought he knew, her deffinate answer.

Bruja followed the sinew'd male down the embankment to where the other two were waiting below. Her harks were pinned forth for any action from him, half-heartedly expecting an ambush from the shadows of the timberland. But she trod forth, her leathery mitts gently caressing the terra beneath her, her movements silent and full of grace. "Yes.." said she. "Yes, I rather am." She turned to look at her surroundings, at the beautiful scenery and again marveled at the tranquility of the lands so vast and welcoming. How she had stumbled upon this place she would never know, but what mattered was that this was a place she could call home, if all went well.
At the end of the crest where the hill leaned forth to meet the pastures below, she tensed and became nervous again as she saw the two other wolves at the opposite side, and she slowed her pace, her orbs again locking 'pon the unknown advesary. She prepared to flee, for it was not her way to walk into the lair of another wolf clan of her own free will. But the presence of the one male beside her comforted her, and she stiff-leggedly made her way over.

He watched her tense slightly and smiled warmly at her, to reasure her things were fine. "Well then, come, let us hunt," he said with a happy grin and wagged his tail. He looked at the other two, asking if they would want to come along or not. Ukamirru shook her head and looked at Taerin, nuzzling him. Ookira waited a moment and then trotted to sit by the fae. "I hope you enjoy your stay," he said happily, "It is really nice here," he added.

Waited for the brujo to return from his companions, who obviously did not wish to join in on the proposed hunt. But she was grateful, she was not used to large packs, and the company of one would do her well until the time was right. She looked at him as he approached her and sat down. "Yes... I rather like it here. It has a peaceful air about it." Said she in response to his welcome, then turned her dial to look at the scenery again, then back onto his stolid frame. "I'm sorry, your name was --?" She asked.

"Sorry, I am Ookira," he said plainly, seeing as there was not much need to say anything else. "Well, I am sure your stomach is begging, come on, we are in the hunting grounds right now anyways," he said, standing and easily trotting off, looking over his shoulder at her and smiling. He wagged his tail happily as he led her away. "There are some really good deer around and all kinds of other creatures. And they are really healthy so they fill you up," he said, more to interest her hunger than anything.

She gladly turned to follow him, making soft impressions in the sod with her graceful step. Light as a feather, silent as one as well. "Ookira it is, then." Said she. The pangs of hunger gripped tightly at her stomach, and the sound of deer made her jowls water with the tantalizing thought of flesh in her grasp. "Deer... Oh, it's been so long..." She loped along faster. "I have been living off of squirells and lemmings mostly... Come!" She said aloud, before breaking into a swift run, her strides carrying her fast across the prairies before them.

He barked at her, running after her swiftly and catching up to her. He attempted to swerve into her path, growling at her slightly, though not wanting to scare her. "Wait, you can't just get all excited. You'll scare them off," he said softly. He smiled at her warmly, "Come on, just don't get too excited," he said, again turning and trotting away. He looked back over his shoulder at her once more.

She started at his growl, and swerved off course for a moment, as if she were about to flee for her life. But as she took in his playful tone and dialect, she swerved back to his side, staying a little behind him and falling silent, her orbs studying the surroundings, waiting for the opportune moment that would lead her and her new comrade to the ever delicate taste of flesh. Her jowls watered again and she sped faster forth, plumage swinging in a pleased wag; something she had not done for a long time.

Ookira then crouched low to the ground, easily slinking into a small wood. He sniffed the ground for a while and wagged his tail as he picked up a scent. He smiled and happily went along, following his nose. He grinned widely when he came upon a clearing, a small herd of deer were grazing peacefully. He licked his chops and then eyed the femme. Without a sound, he trotted around until he was in a good spot to pounce. With a little smile he bounded out into the clearing, chasing a doe that fled in a fright. He chased her, snapping his jaws before he pounced on her back, bringing her down. He sank his gleeming fangs into her throat and she soon lay lifeless on the ground. He grinned and then looked for his friend.

OOC: ~+~~Hate to interrupt when this is getting good, but I have to go to bed soon, so I won't be online much longer. Just a heads-up! ~+~~ She watched in a contented silence as the brujo so effectively brought down the meal, and loped after him, her plumage swinging in her pleasure. Deer... It had been months. She stood over the fallen prey and then looked to him, as if asking permission to dig in. It was his kill, at any rate.

He stepped back and wagged his tale, smiling at her. "Go ahead, I am not really that hungry," he said with a nod towards the deer. He grabbed a few chunks for himself and ate a little to the side.
He watched her happily once he was done, content to wait and watch. He was glad he could've asisted someone, but he had stuff to do. Yet, he waited patiently for her to finish. He rested his head between his paws, his blood stained maw licked well. He needed to clean it though.

At his motion for her to continue, she gladly dug into the carcass, the taste wonderful to her lessened tastebuds, and she too ate off to the side. Minutes later, when her stomach was full for the first time in years and the carcass had been stripped to all but naught, she looked to him, her ivory visage and mitts covered in the blood of the fallen advesary. She regarded him for a long while, before speaking in a soft tone. "Thank you..."

He raised his head and nodded, smiling at her. "My pleasure, but you are covered in it," he said with a small laugh. "Come on, we need to go back to the lake and clean off," he said, rising to his paws, and again trotting off, once more looking back and grinning at her.
They were soon back at the lake where he happily ran and dove in, dunking his head under the water and bringing it up completely soaked. He smiled and splashed around for a while, before climbing out and shaking himself, sending tons of tiny clear droplets flying in all directions. He then sat down and watched her happily.
