The night air was peaceful, yet a small wind slowly began to sweep through this vast area. Flowers gently swayed, releasing their spores that flew along and drifted with the wind, to land elsewhere. Branches from trees here and there, swayed also, there leaves gently rustling. Everything was like a soft whisper talking to the world around it. Most creatures were asleep, resting in a beautiful slumber, and only the whispering wind above made a sound. Though, some were still awake, enjoying the night air. One of these such was a small rabbit. His nose twitched with different smells, and a smile, one might say, could be etched onto his small furry face.
Another form moved along, easily, swiftly, his soft white paws lightly touching the soft ground beneath his feet. His ears twitched as they listened for noises around him. It was evident that he had lived in these lands for quite a while, for a diamond shaped jewel dangled from a silver chain around his neck. The jewel glowed silver, with swirls of silvery-blue inside. Blue orbs gazed around, they seeming to sparkle. As he ever so easily moved along, one could see he had a fine build. Pelt of white with silvery color also mingled within. There were silvery markings along his coat that picked up the moon's gentle rays and gleamed, casting silvery light about him.
He took a deep sigh, many smells reaching his black nostrils. One of such, was his prey. His eyes scanned over the land until they came to rest on that small rabbit. He smiled, licking his chops. He hadn't eaten since yesterday, and he was hungry. Slowly he crouched down, and made his way easily about, making not a sound. The whispering wind above him, to his great delight, carried the rabbit's scent towards him, and his scent away from his little prey. He got nearer, peaking out at the little being. He waited a moment, and then pounced, snapping his jaws. The rabbit sqealed and tried to bound away, but it was far too late. Ookira sank his gleaming fangs into the rabbits corpse, and with a jerk of his head, the rabbit hung limp and lifeless in his jaws. He smiled as his prey's warm blood trickled down his throat. He looked up, searching for anyone else's presence, and then turned and trotted off.
Finding a nice little place, he laid down on his stomach and began to eat his meal. His maw was burried in the carcass and his white muzzle stained red with blood. He grabbed a bone and tossed it, catching it easily between his teeth and gnawing on it. The small rabbit should have stayed in his den, unlucky for him. Though, he didn't completely nourish the wolf, the Ookira was content. When he had finished, he softly layed his head between his paws, eyes looking about. His ears twitched as he continued to listen, but not for long. They soon rested back against his soft furry head, and his eyelids gently began to close. Every once in a while, he would open an eye, or lift an ear to listen and watch for others.

The cool night air stirred the wolfen's chocolate-hued fur, and he looked up from his half-eaten kill, a large hare, to see a wolf of silvery-white pelage. Brows were furrowed in thought as this stocky male tried to remember where he had seen the other. Finally, it came to him.
He got to his feet, and heavy paws and muscled legs carried him swiftly to Ookira. His manner was relaxed, with his pink tongue lolling out between sharp white teeth, tail held loosely and swaying slightly as he ran.
When he reached this other male, he inclined his head somewhat in a respectful bow. "Greetings," he said, vocals fairly deep. "You are Ukamirru's brother, are you not?"

Ookira looked up and nodded, "Yes, I am," he said, rising to his feet. He looked over the other, recognizing his scent immediately. "You are Taerin," he murmered. "Last I saw her, she was with you. Where is she now?" he wanted to know. He wasn't trying to sound rude, but he was protective over his sister, for reasons of the past. "And, how might you be doing?" he added.

"The last I saw her was near the lake," he said truthfully. In answer to Ookira's second question, he said "I'm fine, thank you." He seemed not to notice the other's attempted rudeness, or if he did notice, he merely ignored it. "And how have you been doing?"

Ookira nodded, taking mental note. He smiled, "I have been doing well," he said, wagging his tail. He then trotted past Taerin and looked back, "I am going to the lake, if you want to come along." He waited a moment to see what the other would do.

Taerin nodded at Ookira's remark. "I'm glad that you are well," he said politely. When Ookira trotted past him, he followed at a relaxed pace. "I'll come too," he said.

Ookira shrugged and took off at a slow run, swiftly and easily moving along. He turned here and there, his nose to air. At last, his sister's scent was coming to his nostrils. He smiled happily, and howled, the long and beautiful tune driffting and flying throught the air. With a happy yip, he burst into full speed, racing towards her.
Ukamirru looked up, twitching her ears. She wagged her tail when her brother's song of delight reached her, and howled back. She happily ran to meet him, and as she neared she also sensed her love was there as well. She yipped excitedly, racing to meet them both. She saw them ahead and went to tackle Taerin playfully. She nipped at his ears, licking his maw before turning and smiling at her older brother. "Ookira, what have you been doing?" she asked, giving him a nuzzle. "Haven't seen you in a while now," she added, sitting down between Taerin and Ookira, and gazing at them both.

The emerald grasses roll'd before 'er leathery mitts, like the ocean, the blades blending and colliding into one long verdid sea, clusters of blossums adding a radiant array of dyes to the virid terra, meeting the azure heavens above, the mountains towering o'er the hills to the west. The mountain zephyrs made their trails, the cooling fingers of the frigid wind coiling 'round 'er etiolate peltage, and the shadows from the woods to the south danc'd and scatter'd with each breath. The blooms of dandelions and snapdragons too danc'd to the everlasting tide of air from the graceful and radiant lands of the Shinkou order.
Elegant bruja, silent as a shadow, and yet just the opposite. 'er bleach'd peltage sway'd and gave way with the zephyrs, combing through 'er thick coat. 'er mitts plac'd gently o'er the grasses, the sod folding themselves gracefully 'round 'er toes, the slate claws resting harmlessly 'pon the black terra. And her eyes. The cerulean orbs, the windows to 'er harm'd soul, where immeasurable mercy and guilt was hidden beneath, studying the treasured lands that laid before her. 'er harks atop 'er velvet crown were piqued forth, twitching ever so slightly, eager for the tender sound of an intruder nearby, and her sinew'd pillars tens'd 'neath her lean yet muscular form, waiting for the action that would trigger her to flee over the lands, a white shadow.
But the trigger did not come, and the faemora turn'd 'er dial to see the new arrivals. Three of them. A trio of acquaintences, she took note, two of which smelt similar in a subtle way; siblings, no doubt. The other tawny brujo she took careful consideration over. But she made no sound, wondering if they even took note of her still'd prescense. Her breath crisp'd in the air, coiling in front of her in a silver plume, and her oculars kept a careful watch on the wolven trio before her. She waited in a bated silence, half wanting them to notice her... She had been alone long enough.

Ookira happily nudged his sister, and he began playing about, trotting around her and nipping at her playfully as if he were only a young pup. He smiled playfully at Taerin, also nipping at his shoulders, then dashing away and trotting around. He then crouched, lowering himself, wagging his tail. He gave a happy bark, and went to pounce, but his eyes caught something, he wasn't sure. He watched the spot where he was sure of another for a long while. His tail wagged and he shifted about restlessly.
Ukamirru licked her love, and then looked at her brother questioningly. "Something wrong?" she asked him, trotting up to him.
He shrugged giving the place one last glance and then looking at Ukamirru and Taerin. "I just thought I saw something," he murmered. He had said he thought he had, but he was sure of it. He sighed and sat down, curling his tail around his hinds. He stood to get a drink of water from the lake and then his head rose as he turned and sat down once more.

The wolven ones were frolicking, something she knew very little about, for her whelpen days were full of sorrow and misgivings; about survival. Nonetheless, she sens'd no hostilities from the ones distantly, and without moving her upper frame, she bend her hindpistons, crouching down to sit alertly, her ivory plumage curl'd round her hind paws, tightly. The rays of Helios were reflected in her crystal oculars, and her thoughts began to race.
A peaceful, undaunting silence had begun to settle over the lands of the Shinkou, and the miseries of her past seemed to evaporate with the last light of the fading day. The lands emitted a peaceful, calming nature, as if little harm dwelled there. She liked it. She had known no place like it. She stared silently, longingly at the crowd near her. They had no idea that the loner was watching their every move. No, that was not accurate. He knew. He just couldn't place it, could he? She went over the theories in her mind, the only true and effective weapon she had.
Come on... Look around... See me... I am right here... She found herself telling them in a pleading mental way. She wanted to be found. She wanted company. Even the moments before an attack where socialization progress'd were priceless to the ivory fae. She longed for them, after months of being in the company of her own kin. She suppressed the desire to whine, but instead got up and walked forth a few paces, again as silent as a silver shadow. She stopped and sat. Hopefully that would be enough to alure them to her "hiding place".

Ookira sat for a long while, and then he saw it. He knew for sure another was there, watching them, his sharp eyes catching her movement. He was half relieved, for until then he thought his eyes had been playing tricks on them. He could sense it was a female, and her color was evident when he caught her movement. He stood wagging his tail and looked at his sister. "I don't care if you guys say I am crazy, I am sure someone's there," he murmered and then slowly began to trott in her direction. His maw was stuck to the air, his nose sniffing.
Ukamirru sighed and leaned softly agaist Taerin for a moment. She then stood, nuzzling him and turned, beginning to follow her brother, then stopped, looking back at her love. "Coming?" she asked him.

At last, 'er harks twitch'd at the sounds of the brujo's voice, carried by the zephyrs that she had become so dependant on in her many days. For that same West Wind brought her tidings of those around her, foes and rarely friends. She tensed again, her worn instincts preparing her, willing her to flee, but something else was holding her back. Her conscience, perhaps? She knew not. But she listen'd to the even one-two, one-two steady beat of the brujo as he made his way across the verdid plain to approach her. She twitched her harks again, straining for the sounds of a snarl or a growl of warning. Though at the sound of the loving trio, the unknown male she now identified as the faemora's mate, she relaxed in her stomach, and even the tips of her ebon jowls twitched in an obscured smile. She waited.

Ookira neared her further, moving towards her easily at a steady trott. A few feet from where he knew, or thought he knew, she was he sat, again curling his tail about his hinds. His wings, that had been folded over his back, ruffled and spread slightly, though they soon went back in their place. "Greetings, young wolfess, what brings you here? We are friendly, and you can come out, there is no need to hide," he said. His voice was soft and warm, a smile on his wolven lips. He wagged his tail slightly and waited patiently.

She allowed him to approach, her body still tense, as if awaiting an inevitable attack. Never let your guard down, because the moment you do, that's when you are attacked...Her mother's voice echoed in the confines of her deepest memories, but she still turned to look at the brujo, regarding him carefully. She noted his powerful wings, folded leisurely behind his dorsal, the plumes of feathers residing gracefully in a reclined fashion. His stalwart pillars too were before him as he sat poised beside her, and his silvery-white peltage did little to conceal the sinew hidden behind. Very impressive. He must obviously live in relaxation in these parts... If only I could, too..
At long last, she finally spoke, her ivory peltage fluttering in front of her delicate visage, her cerulean orbs unblinking, watching his every move. If one of his muscles spasmed, she would know. And she would be ready to run. But the relaxed feeling took hold of her again, and she used her voice for the first time in a long time. "Please, forgive my tresspass." said she, her voice soft and tender, barely a whisper. The winds blew. "I am a loner, a traveler. I felt the serenity of these lands and wished to bed down for the evening, when I took notice of you and your sister and her mate." She said. We are friendly? I have never heard those words in the same sentence before... "My name is Káletárë..."

Ookira nodded and happily smiled, "Well, it is a pleasure to meet you, Kaletare. Your name, is beautiful. Well, why don't you join us. And, you aren't tresspassing. We are glad to have you here, come and make yourself comfortable," he said with a reasuring grin, and a gesture for her to follow him. He turned to see if she were following, and wagged his tail. "I am sure you will quite enjoy your stay," he said with a nod. He then turned and walked slightly ahead of her, leading her towards the others.
