The clinking of metal on metal resonated through the otherwise silent trees. The sound becan closer and closer as a lone figure arose through the mists that clung so low to the ground. The being was covered in black and red streaked fur. That pelt clung to thick muscles that powered this being. Light flickered and shone off numerously pieces of metals. There was a sword strapped to this creature's back. The blade was exposed and shone brightly. The material was metallic yet a pale white. A chain of fangs hung around the thick neck of this mascu. On his right foreleg shone a golden mark. It was known as the defender mark yet this being was no longer a defender. No. Now that the group was doomed it was best for him to stay out of the whole matter. He had more important things to do than die. It was so that this creature walked through the forest, having no home to call his own. He prefered to be nomadic, it avoided him being killed in his sleep. Those dark red eyes looked around and fell upon something ahead. With a sigh the nightmaric wolf shook his head. "What the hell does he want?"
The mascu broke through the tree into a clearing where he was met with a sight he obviously was sour to see. Upon a rock sat another mascu of dark pelt. A white, circular scar was on the same place that the nightmaric being had his mark. Metal claws gleamed in the light as the resting being layed upon his rock almost lazily. He smirked and spoke up in his deep, chilling voice. "Why hello Deathblood..."
The nightmaric mascu, who was indeed named Deathblood snorted out steam. "Tagger I will not join you. I am nuetral. I will stay out of this matter.
"And how do I know you will not return to Icewolf."
"Because I am a being of my word. And you know that. I taught you that."
"Then why not join me on your word."
Tagger stood up from his rock and began to circle his old comrade and mentor. Death blood watched him coldly before speaking.
"I told you I will remain nuetral. I have more important things to do. You know that."
"Ah [grrr] you and your 'fate'. Help me destroy the defenders."
"I said no."
It was apparent that Deathblood's decision was made. With a grunt Tagger nodded and smiled. He began to walk away then paused. The mucular mascu looked over his shoulder back to Deathblood. "Don't you show up and play hero for Icewolf."
Deathblood smirked and nodded. "I won't show up as long as Icewolf's mate and future children live."
Tagger was obviously not pleased. He nodded once then stormed off angrily into the shadows, disapearing from sight.
Deathblood smirked and stretched slowly. With a yawn he continued on his trek through the forest, sniffing at the air for the scents of nearby wolvens.
