Silently, this wolf-like creature crept across the borders of the packlands, his slender body kept low to the ground. Thick, soft pelage was the colour of midnight- black with perhaps a subtle hint of dark, indigo blue or purple. Canine fangs seemed unusually long, protruding ever so slightly from his maw. Orbs of a crimson hue, glowing in the dimness, surveyed these new packlands cautiously. Perhaps these wolves, like so many others, would, upon finding out what manner of creature he was, drive him away. This strange creature now wrinkled his muzzle, giving a sharp snarl of anger. Those other wolfens had assumed he was a threat to them. Perhaps he was... but only if they were to get in his way. He had no quarrel with those that left him alone.
Keen eyes spotted a young deer, a fawn, hidden in the tall grasses here. Slowly, he slunk towards it, his dark coat providing some camoflage in the darkness. He was soon near enough to pounce and sink his fangs into the small creature's throat, breaking its neck in the same movement. A soft growl escaped him as the blood flowed into his maw, and his eyes seemed to darken, becoming, perhaps, more evil. Indeed, he was a creature of vampyric design, living upon the blood of his prey. While he was not, of course, a vampire in the more common sense, he was akin to them.
