The lush grass swayed in the gentle breeze, the sun shone brightly down upon the soft, wet earth. A muscular wolfen stepped through the edge of the wood, his sullen face shone to be angry and full of hate, but at the same time pleasing to the eye and very happy. He walked through the grass and sat about three feet away from where he had entered. He rasied his maw and opened his round mouth, but then closed is again and returned to sitting.
He smiled at the butterflies and the birds that fluttered about the air, seeming to be lost and confused. He then sat his face in a frown and rolled around in the soft grass till his gray/white coat was stained with grass. His coat was now full of burs and it seemed as though he was a grass wolf. He stood and walked around the clearing, raising his maw to sniff the air every so often.
After a while he sat back down and cocked his head, this time he lifted his maw, opened his mouth and let a long, sweet howl rise into the air. Making its joyful music play through the breeze. He smiled and looked about him. Then he sat still and waited for sunset's oray of beautiful colors or gold, orange, crimson, pink, purple and all sorts of colors. [/center]

As that melodious howl rang through the air, its sweet sound came to the ears of a truly strange creature.
She appeared to be of vulpine heritage, though there was something about her that suggested, although vaguely, that she was not entirely what she seemed.
This vixen's pale grey fur shimmered, as though it were spun of silver. This gave her a rather ethereal look, as though she could merely fade away to nothingness if she so wished. Eyes were cold orbs of amethyst, and for all their emotionlessness, they held a spark that seemed to reveal a hidden playfulness.
"Well, perhaps this wolfen could tell me of these lands I find myself in," she mused to herself. With this thought, she changed her direction, her long, slender legs carrying her towards the mascul. She showed no sign of fear or apprehension, as might be expected from a creature frail-looking as she, but instead seemed to be quite relaxed. That bushy foxen tail, tipped with the purest of snow white, swayed with her movement as she traipsed across the terra.

The wolfen stopped and rolled once more. He raised his maw once again and sniffed the air. His scences became alert and he stared into the wood. He glanced around him and ignored the smell. He could be just smelling things. No matter, he thought. He called out, "Who's there? Where are you?" He wanted to know where he was, maybe this wolf or whatever it was could tell him. He stood in the exact middle and sat down.
The sun now shone brightly upon the grass. The trees grew dark and shady. The butterflies darted in and out of the wood and peace came again. The grass swayed gently in the breeze, now blowing stronger than before. A few birds fluttered about in the now, misty air. He smiled, "How pleasent is this place." He dreamed of owning it and he wished he did. The thought brought him out of his worry and dread and he became happy.
As he was enjoying himself, he remembered the 'wolf', where was it? What did it want? His thoughts sparked with worry and confusoion. He really wanted to know. He decided to wait for it to show up before asking any futher questions.

This foxlike female paused as she heard the mascu's inquiring voice. "I am known as Hecate," she responded, her clear, calm voice travelling quite easily through the air, "and I am indeed new to these lands? Would you, perhaps, know of this terra?"
