A young grey female stared at the sky with longing. No storms yet. She sighed, wondering what she would do if none came in time. Ah well, that wasn't for awhile, something would come... hopefully.
Spreading her electric wings, she burst into the air, catching a strong current and laughing. Now this what she was made for. Her bright golden eyes surveyed the land beneath her for and sign of company, but she didn't truly see what she gazed at. In the distance, a dark, nearly black cloud was rolling in this direction. Whether or not it would actually enter the lands was doubtful, but it gave her a bit of piece.
She landed then, her thoughts turning with the speed of her element. She shifted, and her coat shifted as well, the shade prismatic in shade, yet always grey. On her chest, barely visible in the shadow of her maw, was the only splash of color on her pelt, a golden bolt of lightening, a birth mark that none had understood until she got her wings. Yes, this was the place for her, a place with others of her kind, and the potential to safely interact with them.

Akai's own wings, firey red conteracted by rolling bones of black, where tucked into her back. It was magiked of sorts, she'd had it since she was a pup. Unlike her siblings, she was the only one to recieve wings, and the only one in her pack capable of hiding them without discomfort. Her Odd pelt was like a splash of snow against the rocky outcrop from where she sat. Oddpelt, she thought with amusement. It made hunters yearn for her and other wolven laugh. Time after joining the Shinkou-Wolven, she hadn't been here much. She had been on her quest to avenge her name, a name that had been soiled by lies and greed. Fire, her companion, sat besides her. Unlike her, Fire was a dragon. A king of sorts, loyal and majestic. Yet he was small. Barely taller then three feet or so. Like Akai, he was magiked. He needed to be to travel with his master, his companioni of the flame. In his actual size, he would have frightened the two-legs they did buiseness with.
As the two sat and watched the dark clouds approaching, it forced Akai to narrow her eyes and squint. Something..someone...flying? She could make out the shape of the fem, but wasnt sure if it was her own eyes playing tricks on her.

A scent reached her, and she burst into the air again. Company? No, she was the company, this was probably a resident. Fun. She winged in the general direction of the scent, keeping her eyes truly open this time to decide the best way to approach. Land before the stranger? No, wouldn't want to seem impetuous. Land where she had been and let them come to her? Too assuming. To stay in the air and expect them to come to her was arrogant. No, the best approach that she could see was to land in view, but far enough to not be threatening. Which is what she did.
When she touched down, she partially folded her wings, pulling the electricity into her body both to keep herself going and to reduce stray shocks. It would be no good to electrocute a potential friend before they even conversed. As a result, the light dimmed as if a previously exposed lightbulb had been covered by a lampshade, and the wings themselves became almost insubstantial. Now for the hard part.
