The wind began to blow lightly through the trees, causing the branches of the canopy above to shift slightly. It almost made the forest floor seem alive as the shadows and bits of light kept swirling acrossed it in beautiful patterns...At least, they were beautiful to his mind.
Cuan sighed softly in thought before focusing back on the forest floor, feeling slightly relieved at the entertainment. As of late, the pup had been feeling rather bored with the big world that he called his home. Ever since he had left the dens a week ago, he explored as much as he could and ran as far as he could...But now, he supposed he was too tired for much of anything besides lying in his bush.
Fighting back a yawn, the mexican wolf blinked owlishly. He wanted so badly to sleep, but felt that he really shouldn't for some reason. Cuan stood to shake off the tired feeling, but suddenly yelped remembering the slight rip on the pad of his back left paw. He licked it clean to the best of his abilities, but it still hurt.
"Mmmm...'M so hungry," he murmured softly, limping over to to an arrangement of bushes and plants across from his make-shift den. On his second day of being in the forest, he discovered that chimpmunks or mice would gather there and if he was fast enough, he could sometimes catch one! Sitting back on his haunches, the tiny wolf waited and thought of where he could go next...Or at least the direction since he didn't know much about other places.
