A big grey wolf swiftly trots through the deep forest, head down but keenly watching his surroundings. He walks gracefully, bushy tail swinging, paws working but silent. His light grey fur seemed to shine where the sun hit it, his black chest and underbelly a surprising contrast with his white muzzle. His bright yellow eyes peered up and around at everything. Yellow, just like the sun, just like his life energy that pulsed through him.
Every now and then he would lift his head up at the trees, listening. But, the only sound caught was the cry of various birds.
Sorrow had never been in this place before, or at least he could not recall it from memory. He had a feeling, a tugging at his heart that told him others from his kind were here. Lost behind the trees? He did not know for sure.
Would they be friendly or drive him out? He had experienced both, the latter more frequently. They could try and kill them, he didn't care, as he would fight even when sorely outnumbered. Death was not something he feared, not really.
He checked the ground for a scent, any sign someone had been here. He caught the faint smell of an animal but couldn't place it. They had came by long ago. No luck.
Finally, Sorrow decided to call out to any others, to make his presence known. Now, muzzle to the wind, his beautiful voice carried, although not very far, considering the blockage of forest. He was probably wasting his time.
His ears perked, listening for a reply, something to ease his every present loneliness.
