(OOC - This is really just a little introduction, so no one need reply.. I think I'll go reply to someone elses thread!)
Blue smiled. The warmth of the sun was envigorating in the morning. It's rays were cast generously arcross the icy lake, making the water appear to be laced with diamonds. He felt like a second star, so gloriously bright and comforting, waking all the creatures around him. The greater ball of light peaked over the thin line of land over the other side of the lake seeming almost reluctant to emerge with a challenger facing him so eagerly. The young wolf raised his mussel high and released a long, deep song into the crisp morning air in welcome of the sun.
"We have something in common, Sun. But only to the naked eye which believes all it sees. But seeing isn't always to be believed for the eyes can be easily decieved as have yours. I am not as you, please, it is time you should arise fair sun."
Blue murmured softly, speaking to the light that was slowly forming into a round figure. Invitingly he swished his long, lushious fox tail, the flames following like a serpent and whipping around making a crackling sound. He squinted, his white eys burning as he came into full view of the sun.
"There you are my friend."
He whispered. How he longed for the sun to answer him. He had watched over him his entire life yet never spoke a word, how Blue wished he did. He knew that the sun was not a living creature but he liked to think it was. The moon was something he considered less than the sun for it only reflected the sun's light, still guiding his way even as he was shrouded in darkness. Yes, an old friend he had been and still was.
His strongly coloured fur stood out alight with fire upon the snowy plains. The clouds had been vengeful and left a cold, unpleasant layer of ice but the sun was warming the ice to snow and the soft powder of a winter playground lay ahead of the solitary canine. Blue inhaled a deep breath, sinking the frosty air all the way down to his lungs and out again in a hazy mist. He felt always a little out of place in the snow, well he felt out of place anywhere but particually where there was a lack of heat. Perhaps it was because of his breed. A Fire Fox could not feel the heat for it was only a hallucination and he didn't seem his reflection as one that was engulfed in flames but others did. Everyone did. He was a creature that decieved the eyes of others through no work of his own. If he could turn off the hallucination he would but this was a place of his mind which was locked and sealed shut. He was allowed in places of his head that other wolves would never experience in their own but this was the one place he had not found the key for. No Fire Fox had, it was just something they lived with, year after year.
Yawning, his jaw cracking as slowly pulled his maw shut, Blue ran his tongue around the outside of his lips just getting the taste of the season. It had been a while since he had been outside during winter. His parents had kept him away from the outside world and in their family den when he was younger because creatures would feel an imaginary but seemingly real warmth in the cold days as he trotted past and be drawn to him. These younger days were times when he had not the power to harness the mind control he possessed so if any were to touch him as a pup besides his own family they would suffer emense pain and agony, which was something his parents did not wish upon any.
He chuckled to himself, shuffling in his seated position. How strange a childhood he had lived, but it was all the same amusing to him now no matter how lonesom he had been as a very young pup. He had his sisters but what male pup wants to play with his sisters? He laughed aloud as he recalled the irony of his past and present situatuion. He would have given anything to be away from females but now he would give anything to be with but one.
Lifting his rump and stretching outwards in a salute to the sun, the youthful beast stood up tall. His stance was elegant and poised. He seemed to float over the snow with his light paws and everywhere he went over the white layer, the illusion that his burning paws melted the snow left little steaming puddles.. but they disappeared as that was all they were, an appearance and not a reality. But no one was to know that, they could not. And with that, he made his leave into the lands that lay before him.
