The world around them was currently experiencing dawn. The heavens above were still dark, and stars shown with all their might to try and fight off the slowly rising sun. But easily, the dark navy soon began to bleed into lighter, more welcoming colors: pink, orange, and of course the purest blue one could ever lay eyes on. Clouds of course were streaked across the lightly colored atmosphere, their colors a dark grey lined with a timid pink. The flame ball which served as the Shinkou Ookami wolves sun reached and stretched, wanting to get his day over with so he could go back to resting beneath the Great Mountains. And already the Earth was becoming warm and beginning to wake up. Sparrows and other such birds chirped much like alarm clocks. Deers and other hoofed animals grunted and beat at the ground, searching for fresh plants to nibble on.
Around the lake, the dark waters were going from a black color to a slightly dark blue.. A morning breeze (rather warm by some standards) blew through the lands, pushing through tree branches and random willows that jetted up from the lands. Some of the willows were occupied already, and some of their guests did not yet want to awaken. In one such weeping willow, a small wolf, let out a small moan and rolled over onto her side, shoving her nose beneath her tail, falling into a tighter ball. No no, it was too early and the dream she was having was far to cheerful to leave now. Nimble leg twitched slightly as she continued to chase whatever it was. But soon her dreams would come to a final end.
A bird had been flying about, deftly searching for something to finish building its home, when he spotted the odd shaped figure below. Flying down, he landed upon a branch near the top of the willow. Head tilted down and he observed the dark blue thing from all angles. Easily he began to hop down. On the lowest branch he could get, he tilted his head. Being slightly in a hurry he fluttered down the rest of the way, landing on the lump. Wings fluttered as he felt it move beneath him, a steady pulse up and down. Seeing that whatever it was, wasn't moving, he took the opportunity to reach toward one of the many white spots that covered its body. Easily, he clamped his beak down and pulled up. What a mistake.
Galaxia felt the sudden pull and snapped both awake and up. The way her body jolted scared the bird off as he flew back toward his nest, a mouth full of white fur. Sleepy, star eyes watched the bird fly off and she rolled her eyes. Stupid creatures, she thought yawning and starting to move out of the protection of the willow. Another yawn escaped her as she moved toward the lakes shore.
Due to the expansive amount of dark blue fur that covered her body, she was already beginning to feel the heat. Indeed she was small, even while walking, anyone could tell that she was just below average size. Without really thinking of it, Galaxia walked into the lake. Not really stopping till she was paddling around. Cold, Cold, COLD! her body shouted but she ignored it as this was truly the best way to wake up any one wolf.

He could tell the moment the bird landed, things would not end blissfully for it's living perch. His ears twitched, counting down the seconds until suddeny... He inwardly winced, only showing a momentary flinch by moving a paw to his muzzle and giving a soft sigh. That was is, the bird had it's hair and the creature...was that a wolf?...had gotten a rude awakening. Loosing hair was nothing, getting it yanked out was another. It always seemed to him that the fewer number of hairs that were pulled out the more pain that was experienced.
His mind drifted lazily, wondering if size had anything to do with the pain of wounds, or the pulling of hairs as what had triggered his thoughts, all the while the object of his curiosity took a swim in the lake. The small splashes of her movements caught his ears again and his leasurly mind dropped the subject of pain. Instead, he went back to a short, previous thought. That couldn't possibly be a wolf, not at her size...then again runts could appear very small even later if they managed to survive the first stages of life.
A smile formed as the ends of his lips turned up, red orbs staring at the small wolf with interest. This time he chose actions to more mind boggling questions, stepping to a lower limb in the tree he had been resting in. The branch quaked but stayed firm as his claws created deep ruts and he dropped to the ground in one swift, fluid motion. Questions once again began forming in his mind as he thought to himself, what should be his method of-
He suddenly found his front paws sinking into the loose silt lining the bottom of the shallow waters, inwardly laughing at his own concious. Ah yes, the direct approach.
"Pardon me miss, if I may join you?" His voice was an odd combination of smooth and gravely tones, not at all painful to the ears. Instead, the imperfect purr made his voice sound more inviting, more trusting...almost spell binding. If looked upon, his expression would be collective and relaxed with his eye lids lowered partially and his mouth curved to form a curious smile.

The water was cool and crisp, it was a much better wake up call then that bird. Dipping her head under once slightly she began to paddle back towards shore. The spotted fur beneath the water wavered gently, looking as if the star-like replicas were twinkling. With the sun now beaming brightly, it was going to be a wonderful day and already the water and light were melting her grumpiness away.
It didnt take long for Galaxia to spot the stranger wading in the water towards her. Head tilted and she paused in her small morning swim, glad she was near the shallower part of the massive lake, breath coming in shallow pants. A smile lifted on her lips as he asked his question to join her. His voice was indeed pleasent and she found herself even more curious to this wolf. She didnt regonize him, either he was new or they had just never their paths never crossed, either way he was more then welcome.
A laugh bubble past her grinning maw, 'Need to ask you do not.' She started sitting down slightly, the waves of the shore licking the area just below her chest, 'Own the lake I do not!' The water beaded down her fur, causing it to stay plastered down, making her coat even more shiny in the morning sun.

His eyes closed at the sound of her voice. Such a unique way of speaking, one I've not heard before even with my age. His ears twitched, taking in the sounds of birds and small animals as they went about their way of life. The only sounds he could pick out being small, insignifigant heart beats. No one else of their canine relatives around.
"Ah, but your privacy is your own, is it not?" His eyes opened as his gaze landed upon her, noticing the way the sun glinted off her wet fur. The sun caught on his black pelt aswell, though the colors did not shine save for his firey orbs. They almost seemed to shine with their own...inner...light.
His paws churned the silt as he moved closer to her, now able to fully take in their difference in height, as he was a fairly tall wolf himself...something that only slightly disappointed him, but did not discourage him. The smallest deer may very well be the fastest.
"May I inquire, as to what be your name?"

He was an interesting wolf and Galaxia was slightly unsure as to whether or not this was good thing. Literaly he was tall and dark, and by no means shy. He moved closer and she took just a tiny movement to keep the distance between them. It wasnt that she didnt trust him, it was that he was a perfect stranger and with how tall he was and how short she was, it was only natural she was nervous. But his eyes, they were..haunting in a way. They didnt shine beause of the sun, but with something else.
'Galaxia.' She supplied dipping her head in a small fashion of greeting and respect. 'Yours?' She questioned in returned wanting to finally put a name with the face and lock it away in her memory.

His lips formed a grin, pulling aside to show off the row of fangs that most wolves could boast about having, except two of his canines seemed to be slightly larger than the rest...in fact, they seemed to be growing...or was it just an illusion of the light?
His voice slid from his throat, no longer charming but simply, chilling. "Demex." The very air seemed to grow cold, more so than normal even for an autumn eve. His eyes bore into her own, trying to lock their gazes. Were she to look into those bright eyes, Galaxia would have found it hard to look away, let alone even move.
The water rippled without sound as he approached her further, seeing nothing of her appearance anymore. His eyes found the veins as they coursed with the liquid he so yearned for, sweeping over the heart as it's steady beat kept the life flowing through those veins.

Somewhere deep inside, something clicked. Something was indeed wrong with what was going on. Ears fell back slightly, resting in a half up half down position and head lowered slightly. Her confidence level was shot down as the feeling of being over crowded flooded her mind. Eyes barely glanced up at him as he mentioned his name, as if confirming he had spoken at all for it didnt sound like the charming voice from before. A chill ran down her spine as she watched his teeth. She had seen fangs before but there was something threatening, some form of forboding.
The small wolf felt his eyes on her, another uncomfortable feeling that was somethingw as going to happen. Instead of once again looking up, she looked down, watching the water move. He was getting closer and if she didn't move soon he would be closer then what was acceptable for strangers. Clearing her throat she suddenly stood, turning and trying to run through the thickness of the water, making larger ripples and loud splashes . 'Swimming was fun, that it was.' She stated trying not to sound as in a hurry as she felt. 'Again sometime we must do.' With others around, She added in her mind not sure she could handle being alone with him again. The water where he had been standing suddenly filled in the points where his paws had blocked the water, his form just instantly no longer standing where he had been. Instead, he was now only inches in front of her, the long canines in the front of his jaws now apparent even with his jaw closed.
"Oh, but it's so much more fun to avoid putting things off..." His teeth parted, the largest catching the light of the day as he pushed them near her. "You can't avoid the inevitable? Something like that..." His tone was once again soft and calming, trying to catch her in his spell.

She came to a sudden hault as he was no in front of her. Eyes were wide with fright and jaw hung open in a silent scream. Breath came out quickly as her adrinaline began to pumo freely into her blood. Steps were now beginning to stride backwards instead of forwards, carefully she turned her body not wanting to go deeper into the waters, that would do her no good. Fear was strong within her and even his calm and collective voice broke through and it sent her into a form of confusion. His voice said one thing to her ears, but her sight said something different with his enlonged fangs.
Her voice was caught in her throat, unable to say stop or anything else. Finally the flight feeling kicked in, and she suddenly spun attemtping to run far away from this Demex and with what he threatened her with.

(I promised myself I wouldn't, but I just thought of a random plot. xD Just something to turn things a little differently. Nyahaha, Gawsh I love vampire roleplays.)
Though no one had been near them, Demex had made sure of that before closing in on his 'prey', there was suddenly someone else. He had not simply wander in or come in at a rush to save the damsel. He was just simply there, quite suddenly, in the way of Galaxia's escape path and not at all far from Demex. Though he was smaller than Demex, this wolf held his head high, muzzle pointed hellwards with yellow orbs moving from Galaxia to Demex. His grey pelt was shaggy and thick, baring his fangs as his hackles rose up, directing a growl at Demex and speaking in low tones. "You shall not feed here scum, or anywhere for that matter!" His head shook, ruffling the fur along his neck for a moment as something jingled around his neck. A belted collar of brown leather with a charm dangling from the front. A simple, silver cross.
Demex haulted, stopping in his persuit of Galaxia. A frown formed as his jaws closed, pursing his lips but still showing off the two large canines from the upper half. Anger radiated from him, after all he had simply wanted to feed. Instead he's interrupted by this... arrogant creature.
"You dare to tell me what to do?" Demex's voice did more than hint at his current mood, as the air temperature dropped several degrees, chilling the area and its inhabitants. "This mortal is my blood."

(But random plots are fun!)
Galaxia thought she would be able to run and find somewhere safe to hide, or at least find other wolves with whom could help protect her. She was certain as well that no one else was around, for this was a part of the lake not many traveled. But then again, she hadn't been paying attention to the world around her, just on the vampiric wolf near her. All four paws hit the ground in an attempt to stop her onword momentum. SHe was panting hard, startled and from the sudden sprint. Her body lowered, ears falling all the way back in an attempt to make herself invisable. Swallowing she glanced behind her at Demex then scooted around behind the wolf that had suddenly appeared, using him as a small shield. Risking another ones life was not something Galaxia wanted but she was glad for the help.

The gray wolf smirked, noticing Galaxia move behind him. "It seems she is yours no longer." An irritated growl floated over from Demex.
"What fools you mortals are!" Demex held his tail as high as he could hold it, dircting a glare not at the arrogant male, but at Galaxia. All this just for a pint of blood... "My fangs are gentile compared to his!"
A grin appeared on the gray maw, yellow orbs darkening in a moment's time. The crimson now matched that of Demex's own and shone with an inner light. The 'normal' canines began to grow in that grin, turning to face the small wolf that thought to gain aid from him. Taking full advantage of the moment, the gray demon opened his jaws wide and lunged for Galaxia's throat. His fangs, however, did not make it that far. Instead, they clamped down around stiff black fur, his eyes catching similar red pupils like his own, too close for comfort.
He had misjudged, for he thought Demex may have been in a weak state, hence why he would go after a mortal. It seems he had judged wrong. A strained grin formed on Demex's maw, crimson blood making his fur appear wet and slick. "Like the taste of my blood, bastard?"
His red pupils faded to yellow, widening as he released his hold on Demex's neck, backing away quickly all the while coughing and gagging on the foul blood that had entered his system. His eyes bore into Demex's before turning to glare at Galaxia, as if the whole matter were her fault. "Mortal lover..." He croaked before fading into nothing, his form wavering momentarily before it simply disappeared.

Confusion was a state Galaxia never liked to be in. This wolf, had appeared not like Demex, in fact almost the opposite. And when he spoke up "blood," she figured he meant her wolven blood, not litteraly dinner. Yet she realized her mistake one moment too late. Before she had time to blink the wolf, not so normal now, lunged for her. Her eyes were wide as the sun now, and tail tucked tightly underneath her by her belly. When she prepared for impact, none had come. Instead where her spot should be, in the jaws of the other, now stood the creature who only so shortly tried to make her victim.
As quickly as it had all started, it was over. The small she-wolf was crouched low and visably shaking from fright. She stared practicly blankly at the spot in front of her, replaying the scene over and over as if it was still going on. Blinking back tears, she looked at Demex and if it was possible she moved closer to the ground.

Demex let out a short grunt, his legs folding as he lowered himself to the ground, although in the way it happened it seemed more like he simply fell over. His eyes were closed, though his head was directed at Galaxia. Despite the lids being closed, he could still sence her presence before him. The blood from his neck spilled over his paws as he lay his head atop them. After a time, Demex raised an eye lid, the single reb orb looking at Galaxia.
"Aren't you going to run?"

Fear was such a wonderful thing, especially when it causes one to lose all sense of time. Still trembling, the star like wolf looked over at Demex as he spoke, asking her a simple and rather blunt question. Questions and solutions ran through her mind, trying to still process what had happened. The smell of blood was heavy in the air, with his blood, and was no currently staining his fur and the ground. She looked at the crimson pool then vback up to his face.
Run? Run? She turned her head slightly to look in the direction she was running before she was stopped. Yes, running was a good thing, got you away from situations fast. But why would she run? Blinking she looked back at him, not sure if she should be thankful for him saving her or to scold him for bringing her into that sort of situation.
'Alright are you?' The question slipped past her lips and came out slightly hoarse.
