Waking the Fallen

All was still today, nothing made a sound, execpt for the constant crashing of the waves. A sound that would never stop and never cease to exist. That and the whistling the of the wind as it raced across the beach. There was a trail of lone pawprints leading down the the water and one could see the lone figure sitting by the water's edge. It was a snow-white wolf, her coat was ruffled by the wind and it gave her a bigger apperance than she normally had. Her bright blue eyes stood out widly against her coat color and they seemed very big and innocent, but they were far from that. Around her neck was a big blue spiked collar and on her legs were bangles and bracelets of all kind that made soft tinkling noises like bells when the breeze ran over them.

Suddenly the white wolf's head shot up, a strained look on her face, her muzzle pointed to the heavens. Her eyes were squeezed shut and a groan was stiffled in her throat. A firey pain seared her back and went up and down her spine. She moaned, this time it was aloud and in an instant two leathery bat-like wings sprouted from her back. Blood oozed from her back, right at her shoulder blades where the wings had sprouted from. Her canine teeth had gotten longer and her claws as well, they now dug into the sand and left deep marks. Her sides panted and she gently stretched out her wings, pain searing through her body, they were quite tender for a little while but she'd soon forget about the pain. She looked again down at her white paws and caught a glimpse of herself in the water that came swirling around her feet. She looked like a monster, exactly what she was, and a little chuckle escaped her lips.

The largest of the waves were created by a sky blue wolf's large fin, hidden by the water that surrounded her. The wolf darted through the water, towards the unknown white wolf. Suddenly, when the wolf grew two bat-like wings, she/he jerked back a bit, circling back creating a cyclone like effect.

Mizu, had swam towards the wolf until she was right under the reflection of her face. As the other wolf chuckled, Mizu came closer in wonder of what was going to happen next, and was ready to dart above the water and get a better look at this wolf.
