The Asanagi Ocean was not a simple body of water of blue waves and sparkly surfaces. It was much more than that - and more mysterious than an average ocean. The surface of the great blue seem to emit a shine like a crystal's depth, and the sun was gleaming without a single cloud to hide it's blazing grace.
An accumulation of pawprints were settled upon the sandy earth, obviously disposing the fact that there was indeed someone in the vicinity. A wolf was present to appreciate the beauty of which surrounded her. This wolf, an average-sized redwolf, stood out against the fine debri of light cinnamon sand. Her rich red pelt burnished in the sunlight, as shocking as a wound.
At this moment, the female, known as Nine, was relaxing in the sunlight, murmering to herself to what sounded like a babble, or perhaps some bizarre uncomprehensable language. She was lying on her side, her tongue lolling and her eyes rolling about in all directions as she took in her surroundings. Nine looked about three years old or so, meaning that she was finishing up her years of adolescence to adulthood. She seem to act more like a pup than anything, for her bright, greenish-blue eyes were wide in fascination upon seeing the blissfulness of the ocean, and spittle was rivuletting down her lips, though she seem to not take notice. It was as if she had never seen the ocean before.
Regardless of these qualities, she was quite attractive, if one may have an opinion. Though she seem to lack a tail, alas - once upon a time, did the poor dear lose it by the hands of humans. But that, being another story, may never be told by the lips of this wolf. She had a problem, unlike most wolves, but it was for them to figure it out on their own and take pity upon her if it so pleases them to do so.

(OOC - Mind if I join?)
From snow to sand, his paws had felt a drastic change although in the usually thought warm sand he pads were still fiercely cold as was the season. However the comfort of the sun proceeded in lifting his spirits and keeping them aloft. The tip of his tongue poked out from his maw and he cheerfully made his way along the beach. The water was crashing out far over a sand bank then lazily lapping up the shore. The sound of rushing, angry surf caused his white tipped ears to be on extra allert as hearing was difficult under the harshness of the ocean. Yet in all it's rage the ocean held a magnificent beauty that seemingly could not be matched.
The burning wolf strode along under the sun, the muscles beneath his mysterious blue coat rippling and he playfully lunged into a cantering run. The salty air was refreshing and he felt the urge to bolt. The now speeding fireball of a whiet-blue hot creature raced along the shore, kicking up the tinest amount of sand and making an equally supressed sound. His paws were blessed with lightness and the usual pounding as a brute male was not heard through his padded paws. His purely white eyes, that appeared to be alight with the heat and force of flames dancing their gaze around ahead until they locked upon a figure strewn carelessly upon the sand.
Blue came to a skidding stop, his fox tail moving in a cloud like manner behind him. His ears were perked, white eyes giving their full attention to the creature before him. This creature was in fact a wolf. A she wolf at that. He watched her for a moment before sniffing the air, picking up her scent and taking it into his mind. He studied her face, so he could match both together should he ever come across her again. He made a hesitant step forward. He was still quite a fair distance away from her but enough to be in earshot.
"Greetings,"
He began, not entirely sure where he was going with this but he thought it polite to make some conversation instead of simply ignoring her like many a careless brute would do. His ears swivelled as is picked up on some muttering coming from her tongue laidened maw as he moved closer still.
"Are you alright there?"
He stopped, not wanting to startle her. He remembered the illusion would be as clear and a real as anything to her and a wolf burning alive before one's eyes isn't the best scene to look up to upon realising a presence. He admired her richly coloured coat. The colour was just as strong and vibrant as his own. Many a time had he seen a wolf of grey or black colouring. These plain colours meant that they were hidden under the brush but in the strangeness of a bright colour, one could possess a beauty unknown to the natural and ordinary. It was highly unlikely that she would be as surprised to see him as a wolf of normal colouration but then again... the flames would surely send any wolf into panic. He would just have to wait and see her reaction.

The young, sprightly wolf animatedly began chasing the tiny bob that was her tail, attempting to nip at it until she lost her footing and fell to her side. She issued a tiny yip, much like a pup would make, but she seemed unaware. Lifting her head up, she felt her coat weighed by the sand, thus prompting her to shake out her vivid red fur. Once she stood up on her clawed toes, her sense of smell caught a scent that highly intrigued her. Feeling a rush of adrenaline creep through her veins, she made a small leap into the air. Through experience, she understood that a scent close by meant that she would have company soon.
For the time being, as the male would speak, Nine seem to turn a stubborn, deaf ear upon his greeting. It was as if she knew that someone was present, yet she couldn't hear him. Her ears subconsciously rose and fell, emitting the fact that she was undoubtedly alert and aware of this new presence. She looked from left to right, her eyes skimming the glittering surface of the ocean as if expecting her company to shoot from the watery depths. But as none came, she whipped around with a despairing heart. What greeted her then came as a huge shock. There before her stood a creature that looked a bit like herself, but with a bizarre feature about him. It was not just the way he looked with a large fluffy tail, but his whole body was on fire. She could even smell the flames burning, but without the scent of singed fur.
This took a moment for Nine to realize this also. She simply stared, her mouth gaped open. After a time, she issued a very loud wail, babbling strange words and running around the wolf-firefox in an alarmed demeanor. She was in such a shock, that she refused to stop running around in circles, her greenish-blue eyes looking dazed and her words in a jumbled hysteria.

(OOC - I love her reaction, it's priceless! ;D)
Blue proceeded in waiting for her to become aware of his presence. It seemed that she was preoccupied. Yet this didn't last long. Her actions gave him the impression of a pup yet in her body was of a wolf the same age as he. Curious. Very curious. He noticed her lack of tail, again his curiousity ran away with his imagination and he began to silently ponder on how she might have lost her tail or if she had a tail in the beginning at all!
He heard the crash of his thoughts in his head as they all came tumbling down caused by what he saw upon her first real viewing. His eyes pulled back nervously, the long white hairs along his spine whipping around in the flames and wind and standing taller than usual. Her reaction was somewhat shocking. She seemed to have thrown herself into a state of absolute lunacy! She bolted around him and he turned, prancing around, making sure he faced her at all times in case she attacked or something. In truth he didn't know what she was caple of! He felt tight and captive around her, as if she surrounded him from all directions. Perhaps disturbing her was not the brightest of ideas. But how was he to know that this was how she would take his appearance.
It occured to him that she might very well continue this circular pattern without cease unless he stepped in and tried to calm her down. He was beginning to feel dizzy and pulled his tail around him as he came to a halt. If she went any faster she would surely tire sooner rather than later but sooner was still too far away, he needed to stop her now. He couldn't tackle her down or anything, she would avoid him with all her might even though he was quite in advantage when it came to strength and height. So all he had left was to use his words.
"Please! Miss, calm yourself! I mean you no harm believe me!"
Blue closed his eyes, the blur that was passing before his vision every so often was making him feel ill as if he were concentrating on something moving for far too long. If only he could turn off the hallucination he would but this was a strictly permanent trait of his mothers and unfortunately he possessed it. But then perhaps if he did simply grab her and hold her still for a minute he could get through to her.. No, she would surely scream and carry on for help! That was the last thing he needed.
"This isn't real, you aren't in danger!"
Blue's voice became louder and more urgent. He lowered himself to the ground, trying to enhance the message that he was submissive and gentle. There he lay, praying that she would see his actions are realise that everything was alright even if her senses told her that everything wasn't alright. A scary thought crossed his mind - what if every wolf he came across, every creature for that matter reacted somewhat similar to this? How would he find a female and settle down with a family then? A look of horror and despair crossed his facial features and he groaned. This was not how it was to be... Nowhere near it...
He covered his white paws over his eyes in sorrow of his now bleak looking future. How could one measly day destroy his outlook on his entire unwritten life? Creatures had been surprised in the past but never like this! He came from a land where Fire Foxes were more common, obviously here they were unheard of! What had he gotten himself into?!

OOC: Bahaha. Glad you like! And I truly adore your character. I love what you're doing with him! ;D
Nine's regard for the wolf-fox was scanty. She was simply either scared silly, or perhaps she did not hear the fellow. Her little heart almost felt ready to burst, both from anxiety and running at top speed, but she soon slowed and promptly began to pant. The tongue that flopped from her muzzle hung quite limp, like a branch nearly broken from it's bough. She didn't care, nor seem to notice that doing this would perhaps give her a very humourous appearance.
The red wolf's attention was then granted back to the burning wolf. In her retarded mind, she knew that something was wrong. If the wolf-like creature is burning, then why is he not in pain? Nine understood pain sufficiently, having experienced enough of that as well in her short lifespan. She sucked in her tongue and puffed her cheeks at the creature, amazement star-streaking her inquisitive blue-green eyes. For a moment she looked as if she were about to make a witty statement, but she seemed devoid of talk. But her lips then parted, and a single syllable escaped.
"Ahhhhhhh," said she, rather loudly, somewhat how a human would make when interested in something. Hackles raised at this point, and tail flared behind her, she made to step up beside the wolf-like critter. She skirted about him, as if he were a venomous snake, but this was for a good reason. The flame on this beast was white, with blue in it, it seems. It was oddly pretty, but nonetheless a flame, and fire burns. This, Nine comprehended. But the beast beneath the flame was alive, and this is what intrigued Nine beyond all reasoning.
"Ahhh," she said again, privately enjoying the thrill of her voice vibrating against her throat.
Perhaps it could be presumed now that Nine was, indeed, deaf. The poor wolf scampered about, now thinking that the wolf-like critter was a toy. She indeed made a game out of him, by approaching close to him, and thinking that the fire would burn her for real, would scramble back and giggle madly. It was very thrilling to her. She may almost appear to be beckoning for him to play with her, though she was blissfully ignorant that the wolf might have been real. As a matter of fact, she was point-blank ignorant of just about everything.

Blue couldn't believe it! She was now treating him as some sort of entertainment, it seemed he couldn't get through to her. Yet she wasn't a complete wreck now so he uncovered his eyes and slowly came to his feet. Shaking his head he smiled gently, at least giggling was better than running around in destress. Sighing, he followed her with his eyes, watching her playfulness. It was somewhat nice to have a wolf that didn't speak. He didn't classify 'Ahhh' as a word. But this wasn't exactly something normal. He wondered what could be wrong... Suddenly it dawned on him - she was deaf! No wonder she didn't understand nor listened nor spoke! She couldn't hear anyone or herself for that matter. She was like a pup, a funnily pleasant creature. He was beginning to enjoy her company and realised that she would make a wonderful wolf to befriend. She had a certain innocence and freeness that made him become quite fond of her. He supposed that her reaction could have been due to some other participating historic aspects of her past. Perhaps she had been exposed to something that was not as pleasant as she..
Casting away those thoughts, he decided that no matter what he would protect her. It seemed as though she needed it. He knew what it was like to be different and just because she was a different in a special way didn't mean that she was supposed to be alone forever. He decided to use his body language to communicate with her.
Blue let his tongue hang out in a friendly manner, in a similar fashion that she was. His tail wagged behind him, again sending out a message of good will. He dipped his front half down, his tail and rump in the air, mimicking her playful puppy nature. It seemed a good way to get her to realise that he was nothing to be frightened of. He batted his paw at her, the flame almost touching her. He decided it was best to let her touch the flames herself to discover that there was no pain involved whatsoever.. well unless Blue intended there to be. But that was something he would only use if he or someone else was in danger and he felt perfectly safe with her. Even if he didn't have a hope at predicting but one of her movements or garbled noises.
She looked to be such an interesting creature, with such a story behind her blue-green eyes and Blue found it a shame that no one would ever know thus truly understand what she had experienced. He wouldn't be able to know her name, and she couldn't ever know his. His name was a colour so if only she knew what the colour blue was she could learn his name yet she most likely didn't know that either. He doubted if she knew much about a lot of the things around her. But that didn't stop him from wanting to help her. She was disadvantaged in life but in many ways better off than others. Ignorance is said to be bliss and she looked pretty damn happy to him!

The young red wolf paused for a split second to verify what was happening before her. She was not very bright, but smart enough to comprehend her surroundings. Eyes were round as she watched him respond to her own playful movements, and with this, Nine reacted in return with a screetch that she was devoid of hearing.
In excitement, she jumped and leaped about like a newborn pony, having a blast with her newfound friend. Frail legs were quivering as she stood still, for she was worn out but seem to not care.
There was still an intense interest in her eyes with the flame that the wolf-fox seem to produce. She couldn't imagine that any living object could survive with something hot engulfing them. If only the poor gal could speak properly, she would burst into all kinds of inquirations as how that could be.
Suddenly, albeit subconsciously, the red wolf emitted another single word. "Nine," said she. "Nine, nine, nine!" she repeated after a few moments, her ears cocked upward as she approached the creature slowly again, her eyes constant on the fire. Slowly, deliberately, she inched her nose to the fire, but did not feel warmth. This caused her to feel more alarmed, for the fallacy of it all was overwhelming. She suddenly looked to the wolf with large, round eyes and tried mimicking his words that she saw briefly before when he flapped his lips.
Thus, she would flap her own lips, but no sound came out. Of course, Nine did not know any better. She did not understand that the reason her throat vibrated was only because it made sound, something of which she never heard in her life.

His eyes followed her carefully, she seemed to be taking his physical reply well. But he also became aware of her weakness, she was quite strong in her will to continue however. Yet he did not agree, so he eased off his actions, hoping to die down her excitement for fear that she would collapse before him at any second. This wolfess was so unusual but for that, he appreciated her. Her eyes were the part of her that captured his attention for they were full of wonder and awe, their pure eagerness made them a joy to watch and provoke.
Suddenly in a burst of energy she began to repeat the word 'Nine'. The first thing that came to mind was that this could possibly be something that others had said to her and she repeated it.. perhaps this was her name. He knew he did not need to speak it but if he could mouth it to her and perhaps take on a questioning expression he could see if this meant anything to her. But before his strategy could be exicuited, she inched her mussle towards the hallucinational flames that surrounded and enshouded him and it must have ticked a gear in her mind and she mouthed what was evidently what he had spoken before. She was obviously trying to express herself. He simply smiled and nodded enthusiastically, then she might understand that what she had discovered was what he was trying to tell her before. Yet he doutbed how successful that would be.
She must have felt the vibrations on her throat and thought that itself was how to communicate. She was close but no cigar. But Blue refused to give up. He returned to his original plan of the mouthing technique of what he suspected to be her name. He moved his lips to say 'Nine' and then tilted his head to the side, repeating the name again a couple more times. He hoped she was able to confirm his inkling, or even just understand.
Blue suddenly wondered who had looked after her and kept her alive, usually parents abandon pups like her, they are too hard to control, look after or some rubbish like that. Personally he thought that everyone deserved to have a decent up bringing. Nine must have had someone to care for her. He suddenly grinned. It didn't really matter if Nine was her real name or not, she may not even have one! But the point was he was already calling her Nine now so that may as well stick for good. Besides, he had a feeling that it suited her pretty well. She could think of him as Flameboy for all he knew! And what did that matter? Nothing. The point was that he wasn't going to be so lonely anymore, having a friend to stick around with made his time in these lands look much more promising. It was his goal after all to befriend everyone he met and so far he was off to a pretty good start.
The afternoon was fading, soon it would be night and the beach wasn't at all sheltered. Perhaps it would be wise to find some, he found himself thinking.. Would she have anywhere to go? Again he was grinning, he was treating her like one of his little sisters, always looking out for them. But the query was good enough to require an answer. He looked up at the sky that was beginning to become nestled up in clouds. The air was getting colder and the sun was sinking slowly towards the horizon. Blue glanced towards her, hoping to get some sort of indication of her situation.

OoC: I'm finally joining in e.e; Sorry it took sooooo long ^^; Anyway, this is the perfect place xD I LOVE you guys' characters and where this is going =) Uhm... just before, sorry if there's any redundance in here since though we people know the stuff the character's don't heh... The soft crunch and an easy swish afterward came in a steady rythm, vibrant golden paws moving easly through the sand. Round, blue-tipped ears swiveled about, and large, opaque eyes looked out at the Asanagi Ocean, listening to the waves as they tumbled upon the sandy shores and fell back only to be caught and carried back up once again. An elegant yet strong form of a young wolfess was moving toward the two newly-found friends, for they would find they weren't the only beings who wanted to enjoy the beath in the cold of winter that had fallen upon the lands of Shinkou Ookami.
As she paused a moment, lifting her long maw to the air, sniffing it, and catching quite strongly the smell of the ocean, she picked up two scents, not too far ahead. She brought her maw down, a smile adorning her golden lips and her furry tail began to wag happily. This wolfess had a very small sense of danger, at least when it came to meeting others, and thus she didn't think for too long that the two she was now moving toward could be enemies. Some wolves might take over-precaution, but not this she-wolf. She faintly fluttered large, swallow butterfly wings. As the sun above glinted off of their golden and blue colorings, it would appear in places for them to be a pretty green, as the same for her rich golden pelt, entwined with hairs of blue.
She moved foward through the sand, at a slightly quicker pace, and as she did so her eyes fell to their golden miniscule pieces. She grinned lightly to herself, remembering the last time that she had gone to a beach and rolled about in the sand... it had been a while since then and she uttered a gentle sigh, however continued foward toward the two who had now captured her curiosity.
As she saw the two not too far away from her, she stopped, watching them a moment, cocking her head to the side after a moment of watching for curiosity overcame her mind. The one was most intriguing, for she could easily see the flame that adorned his pelt, and yet could not understand it. She had heard of some such as this, but had never seen it for herself, as she had also heard of those possessing the ability to control fire... however, she never imagined that if this was so that they would be surrounded by fire all of the time. Suddenly a thought crossed her mind-- what would happen if water was ever dumped on him? However, she supposed she would have to find out at a dfiferent time, as it would be most rude and awkward to randomly ask such a question.
Her attention was drawn to the other-- a female, vibrant red in color, and she was caught in even more curiosity. She seemed to be a complete pup... only in a grown wolf's body. She was even more intrigued by the way she was trying to mouth what the male had said. Caioihme-- for that was the name of the newest creature to enter the scene-- bit her lip, unsure of whether or not she should step in or not. She wasn't usually the kind to simply walk up and include herself in other's affairs or conversations, but even so... she was also unsure if she'd even be noticed, although they weren't really in any shadows or cover of any kind.
At last she summoned her courage and moved toward the two, lowering her features slightly so no one would take her as a threat. "Greetings upon the both of you," she said pleasantly, "The fun-- do you mind if I join?" She brought herself to a light sitting position, senses alert and she ready for anything, though she was all too sure now that she was in no danger what-so-ever, well... except for the flame that danced about the body of the male... she was still quite unsure of what to make of that matter of things yet.

Legs were scrambling about in a blur as the red wolf pillaged the foams from the incoming wave. The wave startled her so much that she fell over and was drifted momentarily to the sandy shore. Being of the weaker sort, she attempted to claw her way from the next small wave rising and falling like great chompers ready to sail her away into sea as it would rebound back and take her on again. But she would not let that occur, and with all her little strength, she was finally safe with the small bits of salty water rising up to her paws then falling back again.
It became clear that she ignored the fire-creature, but it was definitely not on purpose. She did not mean to berate or embarrass her new friend. The red wolf thought herself proud with having defeated the ocean waves. When she scrutinized the fire wolf for a moment, her eyes then noticed a golden-pelted female. Shyness took over immediately, and with her pride deflating, she crawled on her belly and eased her way towards the only thing she knew that would protect her. She crawled her way behind the fox-wolf, and whimpered without really knowing that she was whimpering. Her whole body began to shudder. The golden beauty intimidated the yound red wolf.

Nine's sudden disinterest in him did not bother him in the least because his attention had also strayed as he had spotted a strange golden pelted fae in the distance. She was approaching. His white eyes stayed locked on her, waiting for her to notice them. And soon enough she did. And her approach became somewhat more direct. This pleased Blue, as this was another chance to make a second acquaintance.
He hurriedly glanced back to wards Nine, watching her flounder hopelessly among the waves. He was about to join her for she seemed to be having so much fun but he insisted the duty upon himself that he would protect her and if this new wolf had any ill intentions, he would be ready to defend. He wondered if Nine understood that this was what he wanted to do purely by his nature and instinct. He thought of the best case scenario and concluded that if she could speak, she would show appreciation with her words.
Blue's ears pricked up as he swung his proud cranium back to the Fae and realized she had made her way right up to the gathering of two. He listened as she timidly asked to join.. Suddenly he had memories of his days as a pup. He remembered that there was one time in his pup hood that he had escaped from his family's safety and discovered that there was an entire packs worth of pups over the nearest rise. They were all grey and brown in colours, quite the opposite of what he knew to be one of his kind. But he was positive they were wolves never the less and at least he was half what they were. He recalled that he had asked to join in with their games, perhaps not with such caution and timidity as this female before him now but still. The situations were mighty similar. The result of his attempts to join were hurtful remarks, cruel words and bared fangs. He did not wish for this fae to receive the same fate.
Blue gave a warm smile that stretched across his maw subtly. His fox tail wagged softly, causing the flames to seemingly dance and flicker with his actions but nevertheless, it was a friendly movement. His ears swiveled back for a moment as he heard soft whimpering from behind him. Nine has crawled behind him, seeking defense and shelter from the newcomer. Blue chuckled slightly. She reminded him so much so of his little sisters and was becoming more and more fond of her company. Turning slightly, he lowered his mussel and nudged her cheek offering comfort and assurance. Then he returned to face the fae.
"Greetings to you also. Of course you may join but firstly, my name is Blue."
He waited to see whether Nine was interested in coming out from her hiding place before he introduced her.

Bright eyes watched as the female of the two played in the waves, and a warm smile formed on golden lips, slightly bushy golden tail wagging, swishing the sand beneath her. However, she was rather surprised when the female was so surprised, hiding behind the mysterious other. However, perhaps it could be expected. She hadn't exactly come in romping around and letting everyone know she was coming. But besides that, she did think her a bit jumpy. However, this did not bother Caoihme's mind. Attention was soon changed toward Blue, again, and relief flooded her once he was accepting.
She rose, moving toward them once more, standing before him. "Thanks much goes to you. Blue, to meet you, pleasure. Caoihme, my name is." She smiled, fluttering lightly her large butterfly wings. "Your companion, inquire I may?" She was curious about these two, seemingly so different than wolves she had met in the past- and then again, she was different herself, if not for her strange colors then for her wings and height- for she was more than a good two feet taller than the average wolf, as was her species.
Her senses were still alert, however she was more laid back now. Blue seemed friendly enough, and his companion seemed more shy than anything. "New here, I am... much about this area, lovely, either of you know?" Perhaps it would be a bit odd to listen to her speak, yet it added to the graceful demeanor she gave toward others. She wasn't always such- but she liked to think herself so, and act that way as well. Her white-tipped tail was still wagging in a friendly manner, and her eyes glanced toward the sea briefly, enjoying its beauty.
