Night had started to fall over the City of Thor. The streets were starting to empty, few people wanting to stay out after dark. There were many thieves who hid in the darkness of night, as well as worse things.
Much worse things.
But, as the sun set and the streetlights came on, a lone figure appeared. She ran as fast as she could, her long iridescent blue hair streaming out behind her. Green eyes sparkled as the girl continued her run, never stopping for breath.
Suddenly she ducked into an alley and stopped, blending in with the shadows. Only moments later, a gang appeared at the entrance to the side-street. Each one carried a weapon of some sort; knives, clubs, guns. The leader of the group, a young man with messy blond hair and deep blue eyes, carried a curved sword. His face was twisted in anger.
"That little bitch!" he exclaimed. His group muttered other curses. He turned to them.
"Find her, damn it! Don't let that little freak escape!" the blond man shouted at them. The gang nodded and seperated. The man was left alone. He swung his sword at a door frame in anger.
"No-one steals from me!" he muttered. Then he looked up and shouted;
"No-one bloody steals from me! Do you hear me?! No-one!"
With that he turned and ran.
In the alley, the girl heard her pursuer's shout and chuckled. She removed the heavy wallet from the pocket of her jacket. Smiling, she tossed it up then caught in again.
"Simple minded fools. That was just too easy!" she chuckled. Behind her, her sister snorted.
"You should be more careful, Northy. If you die, I die," the creature growled. The girl glanced at her.
"And what a shame that would be, my dear South," North hissed. South growled at her.
"If it weren't for the fact that I need you to stay alive in order for me to live, I would have killed you long ago!" she snarled. North laughed.
"Really, my dear sister. You must calm that temper of yours!" North taunted, "Well, I believe the coast is clear, so let's be going," she said as she turned away and walked back out onto the street. South shook her head in exasperation before following.
