Eerie ghost winds crept through the trees and grass that gave way to a large, shimmering lake. Above, the moon shone brightly, its rays littering the waters surface with a storm of silver flickers. The sky was deep and vast, stars scattered across the infinite shades of blue and purple. Deep purple clouds were splotched randomly among the stars and stretch of sky, weaving an intricate pattern across the night sky.
An inky black figure was perched at the shore of the lake, staring silently at the flowing waves as they caressed the soil. Its ears were black and tilted in slightly, giving them an almost horn-like appearance. The fur was as black as night, not even the moons light dare shine off its surface. Its eyes seemed non-existent, so dark that it appeared to not have eyes at all. Its long tail swished from side to side carefully, at its tip, a sleek, serpentine head flicked its tongue intently, checking its surroundings. The claws of this unknown creature were of blood red, not of killing, rather, of natural color. The figure sighed heavily, transfixed on the flowing waves, almost as if, hypnotized by them.

Firewind was residing in the churning waters of Mizu Lake, keeping a watchful eye one the one that was beside it. She darted by it, only to be seen as, if seen at all, a dark spot flashing across the water. She liked how this creature looked. She swam to the other side of the lake, and rocketed towards the area where the figure stood, changing as it went. It turned into a creature that mimicked it exactly, except small and lithe, dainty, yet built for speed. And rather than black, she was entirely red, a deep, dark yet also vibrant red that was unique to her kind. Shooting from the water, she ran forward, pivoting and turning to face the one beside the lake, droplets of water coursing down her fur.

The figures tail hissed a warning, already aware of the approaching entity. The other main head reacted by shying away from the advancing one. Its shoulders contorted, sprouting leathery wings silently, preparing for flight. Its features stilled, waiting for the creatures next move.

Demon red orbs seemed to float, detatched, all on their own bobbing in the dark of night. Indeed, Roland most likely would have been completely invisible if it were not for the eerie glow of his mist that hung glowing about him like a cloak. Indeed, this phantome hound came in the form of a black german shepard, shadowed like night, paws soundless as he almost floated across the shoreline. Roland had no particular likign for the nights, he often enjoyed sunbathing out in the daylight. As Roland's legs moved, narry a noise as his stout legs shifted with some sort of grace. From his position down the beach the ghastly shuck saw a pair of creatures. A demonic wolf, and some sort of quick, red being. How interesting. Roland had not seen many people these last few days, a friendly visit could be in order. 'Why hello, hello,' he thought, chuckling.
As the two squared off to fight, the black shepard swept in soundlessly on his bed of frozen mist. Pupil-less red orbs now seemed more a part of his body. He came close and the mist disappated. Now his full form was shown, a large black male, his face covered in a varrying array of molten gold piercings. He smiled at them, his cheshire cat smile, something lovely and dark all the same. Strangely enough, one would notice he possessed no reflection in the surface of the lake. As water lapped up on his dark paws, it froze in an instant, forming a slushy film about his pads. White fangs exposed, he spoke, his head lowering slightly, the rings in his ears giving a slight jangle.
"Why hello, mates. Not fighting tonight are we?" He spoke in a teasing tone. If Roland was known for one thing, it was being cocky. He had often as a young shuck teased and goaded larger dogs until they chased him. Eventually he would grow tired of the chase and simply disappear, moving through some solid wall somewhere. It had been his version of a thrill. Looking quite a dark and danerous figure all the same, Roland tried his best not to. As he smiled, he wagged his tail faintly, and waited to see what would enfold between these two creatures.

[glow=yellow,2,300]Firewind watched the creature through interested, eyes that were slitted oh-so-slightly. A small smile adorned her face, and she was about to move forward, but instead saw a creature approaching "Fighting? I don't believe so..." Her smile broadened slightly, though her lips remained closed.
She, too, liked to be mischevious. All of her kind were. Moving forward towards the new male, she studied him, not trying to hide her scanning eyes from notice of the others. "I like the way you look better..." she murmured, and once more turned into the same creature as the other, except red.
Smiling contentedly, she moved forward without waiting for a response. Once more, she was smaller, lithe, generally found more attractive by those of his kind. She circled him, studying every inch, and stopped on his other side, leaning forward to whisper in his ear, "An interesting creature, aren't we?" she laughed slightly, moving off, her own tail wagging excitedly.[/glow]

The creatures seemed reluctant to remain in their presence, uneasy for some reason still. The wings slowly retracted and vanished into her its body as it eyed the male. Her body was as black as night, only her outline was faintly visible in the darkness of the night. Her body seemed shrouded in shadows, not even her eyes could be seen. The serpent head on its tail eyed them wearily, its vibrant yellow eyes glistening under the moons rays.

Full attention swung to the temptress female, whom had altered her form in what he assumed she assumed would be pleasing to the Shuck's eye. He merely chuckled, and could not help the tingle that passed through his nether regions. Lucky she did not get too close, it would be quite obvious to her then the cold interior that Roland possessed, indeed she was quite lucky he hadnt bitten her for getting so close. As friendly as he was tryign to be he had a thing about being touched by others, just didnt bode all that well with him. He kept that unpleasant grin upon his muzzle, something that gave face to the mystery of a creature like him. So the femme turned into a lithe red shuck, then skittered off, giggling, bubbly and fun.
"Is that so?" he murmered in return. His breath became icy as the frozen fires of hell, brushing lightly on Firewind's red pelt. She skipped off, oblivious. Roland's pupil-less eyes turned upon the black female dragonish creature. Well, I suppose one would not really consider them eyes. It was more as though a light exuded from the very core of him, escaping from each opening. It was a deep crimson glow, something unhealthy about it. Roland was a phantome dog afterall, mystery surrounded him as his haze of mist had before.
The dragon creature had said scarsely a word. "So, what? Are you mute or something, dear?"

Firewind turned to see ice on her pelt. Glancing back at the other that she had copied, she chuckled. Her eyes showed no fear, only interest. She had an idea. A single tendril of fire rose, a fiery red torch in the inky blackness. It reached forward, slowly, towards the male. "May I?" she whispered, her eyes showing curiosity. It was made obvious that she intended on touching him with the fire, or have him breathe on it, or something. If he accepted, the tendril would move forward to wherever he indicated.
[I'd colorize and such but I'm cooking. So it's a crappy post. Sorry. XD]

The creature stood still, observing them momentarily it seemed. It then slowly turned and tried to slip away unnoticed, the company of others surely seemed to make this wolf like creature uneasy. Almost as if, fearful of its own kind apparently, indicating that it had bad experiences with creatures such as they. Meanwhile, as it turned, its serpent head kept a close eye on them as it proceeded to move away undetected.

Dim interested showed as a momentary flare in the brightness of the Shuck's glowing orafices. A smile simmered across his ghastly black lips. Piercings jangles, and glimmered as the moonlight passed over them at a momentary angle. He paused, watched the dragon-like beast trying to slip away and turned his muzzle, not really caring whether the thing wanted to leave or stay, her choice. Everyone had free will didnt they? As Roland watched the flames move nearer his mind gave a little spark. "Of course, dear. Of course." His voice rose as a simpering whisper of sorts, mocking smile upon his muzze. "Wherever you may choose, hellfire hardly effects me, but if you must."
The pierced shuck squared his shoulders and looked down at the smaller creature in the form of another shuck. The demon dog let her eyes wander wonderously across the foreign flames, though one would not know that. No pupils, ya know.

[glow=red,2,300]Firewind eagerly reached forward with the fire, and, as she expected, it turned to ice on contact. [That's what's supposed to happen, right?] Smiling in satisfaction, she allowed it to freeze, without trying to burn through it. It dropped to the ground with a loud shatter as the light dissappeared and only the loud crack echoing through the woods could be heard. Looking to the other female that was shrinking away, she said with curiosity, "Why are you leaving? Have we offended you?" She tilted her head to the side, her ears perking forward.
She seemed to be a rather innocent creature. True, she acted like it, but she was also very confident in herself and what she could do. She was one for trickery and decieving, for luring males in and 'playing' with them until she got bored. Sometimes she killed them. Sometimes she didn't. She found it fun to watch a shocked expression come over a male's face as she left him. The mere thought made her want to giggle. But still, she was very carefree and playful, though she could change in a moment.[/glow]

[Ooc] - Sorry you two, but I've rethought my placement of Roland here, I'm gonna move him elsewhere, if another good thread with him in it opens up, then you're both free to join. =)
