"Yeah I've had enough fish for a while. We need a spot where there's more substantial prey like rabbits and deer and such..I think there's a forest behind this stream" The black wolf said as he waded out near the bank next to Larka and shoke the water off his fur.

Larka pushed Twillight playfully with her paw when the water got on her. "i want some deer or something" she agreed nodding. Larka liked the male quite a bit. She nudged him and smiled.

The black wolf smiled at Larka and winked playfully. "Maybe we should try through this meadow over here. There's a forest that's probably full of deer,birds,rabbits, and more prey." Twillight started towards where the meadow was ,yet stopped a few feet and waited to see if Larka was following.

Larka nodded. She smiled at Twilight. She started wading through the shoulder deep water. The water was a bit rough but Larka finally got through. Her coat was soaking wet and she shook the water off. "That sounds wonderful!" she said. Larka followed the black male to the meadow.

Twlight bounded off like a playful pup through the open snow dusted meadow. The forest laid a head near the field's edges. It smelt strongly of deer and other prey. The black wolf stopped again to see if the fae was still following him.
"Can you keep up??" The wolf asked as loud as he could. "I think I can smell some potential prey, and it's not fish"

Larka smiled as her friend acted like a pup. She hoped to have pups of her own someday. She didn't know when she would tell Twilight about her feelings. As she followed the male she noticed that the area smelled strongly of deer. She smiled. "yes i can keep up!" she shouted playfully. "glad its not fish!" she said.

Twilight continued to lead the way into the forest. He stopped in his tracks as he spotted a small group of deer in the distance. His play mode suddenly shifted ,his body remained low to the ground, and he was as quiet as he could get. He knew how skittish deer were they would be off in a flash if startled. He waited for Larka signaling through body language of the deer nearby.

Larka smiled agian. 'I will tell him soon' she thought to himself. As Larka noticed how Twilight changed, she instantly crouched, like a cat getting ready to strike. She crawled up to the black wolf and said "what now?" Larka knew that she had to stay quite.

The black wolf spot a deer with a painful gash. "Must have gotten into a fight." he whispered "he'll be a our target, he's weak but he won't be easy." he quietly stalked closer to the injured deer. "We'll have to tire him out and/or trip him. I'm gonna give it a go" He quickly rushed at the injured deer ,the rest of the herd split without much of a second glance. In moments Twilight was at the deer's side nipping at his hooves. He waited for his partner to help him.

Larka nodded. Her body was a different mode now. She was in hunter mode. Larka was built perfectly. "yeah." she said nodding agian. As Larka crept closer, she waited a few seconds before she lunged at the deer. Larka shifted her body so she was able to jump atop the stag and bring him down on his side.

Twilight rushed into aid Larka . The deer was down but he was still flailing about in a desperate attempt to get back up. The black wolf sunk his fangs in close to the deer's neck and let the animal bleed to death. They could now feast. "Finally something else besides seafood.hopefully it won't attract any unwanted attention.."The wolf said as he quickly scanned their surroundings.

Larka held tight to the stag. Before the stag was dead, however he managed to kick the white she-wolf off. She went crashing into a tree but instantly shook it off. Feeling dazed, she ran back up to Twilight. "yeah! it might attract bears." Larka said, dizzy. "we must eat quickly now" she said, tearing into the flesh of the stag. Oh how good it tasted! "my first real food!" Larka said laughing.

"Your not hurt are you?" The black wolf asked as he watched Larka being thrown into the trees. "That deer almost knocked you out." Twilight began chewing the fresh meat, the first big meal he had in a while. "Yeah it's my first good meal besides fish and rodents. The wolf dove into the deer flesh and ate with much relish.

Larka smiled at Twilight's concern. "im fine." she said looking into his eyes. She started gnawing at the hide of the stag. It was the softest part, other than the neck that is. She looked up agian and laughed. "yeah, my head is a little jumbled" she said, suddenly serious.

"Are you alright?" the black wolf asked ,his voice a bit more serious. Do you want to find a place to rest?We could find a den" Twilight sat on his haunches and waited for an answer
