The raven hued female was walking through the forest. She had been driven into the forest by some odd creatures. She had no choice to run, for her powers wouldn't work. She was starved. She looked around, her jaw slightly ajar, letting the smells fill her mouth as well as her nose. Her stomach growled in response. About one mile up the path, there was food, and water. She loped up the narrow path. Her wings flapping to make her go faster. When she got to the said location, she saw a small squirrel. She was hazed by hunger. She ran head first, the squirrel runnng for its life. It ran up the tree. She HIT the tree. "Grr...damn that smarts.." She growled as she rubbed her head. "Oh well...." She shook her head, as she slowly dipped her maw into the cold water. She savored the flavor, as it ran down her dry throat.

"Are you alright miss?"
The untrained ear might've been confused by the sweeping, gentle, disembodied sound. It very easily could've been the wind with its soft tone and smooth, flowing rhythm, like a song without any music or a river of sounds, notes and pitches. But the wind cannot form words, only a creature with a mouth or muzzle could perform such a feat...
And that's exactly where they came from. Stepping out from his place behind a thick but tilted tree, the brute offered the strange fae his utmost concern, his gentle azure gaze narrowed slightly in an observing manner, as if searching. Searching her dark pelt for any sign of injury or distress while he waited for her response. When his eyesight proved insufficient from such a distance, the dark wolf approached, stepping from the vague shadows of the forest and approaching the edge of the stream, where the female stood, quenching her thirst. The sunshine danced off of the gold in his pelt, illuminating it like a bolt of lightening and revealing his true exceptionally deep brownish red coloration.
"That was one heck of a hit, just now."

She whirred her head in responce to his voice. "Yes, I am fine." She blushed, quite embarrassed of her little episode being seen. "Quite a nice day...isn't it?" she coughed, her voice forming from a little whimper to a dark icy sound. Her grey-green eyes penetrated his own gaze.

The brute seemed slightly bewildered, as if he didn't believe her claim, one ear tilted slightly in a physical display of his unrest. But, rather than pursue the subject's validity, he merely offered the other a soothing but knowing smile, radiating a welcoming, gentle air about him that was only magnified in the sunshine.
"If you say so..."
Trailing off, narrow head turned slowly, first to lay his azure gaze on the matching surface of the nearby water, then to point it skyward, where its color also matched the sight it beheld. He watched in a peaceful silence, birds fluttering overhead and a few clouds gathering in the distance, as if to bring the false promise of rain or even some shade from the blazing sun.
Smiling again, the dark wolf nodded smoothly, flawlessly, pleased.
"Indeed it is. Makes me wonder how humans can spend it cooped up inside their dens."

"Heh, humans do whatever they want. They have lost their natural instinct. If they had any to begin with that is." She sighed and swivled her ears, listening to the wind's secret songs. She lowered her gaze onto the ground, watching two crimson coated chipmunks play in the sun's rays. "Now..if only those pink skinned varmints could be as innocent as that." She snorted.

Swiveling one pointed golden brown ear, the dark wolfen turned his head swiftly, his curious azure gaze finding the little rodents that romped in the grass behind him, pawing at each other in the shade of a nearby tree. He watched them for one long moment- no, studied them, as if waiting for their intricate movements to reveal some unknown secret of life, only to follow their little brown bodies as they scampered up the tree, smiling.
"No... If humans were ever that careless, that'd be the end of us all. They'd forsake all reason, all logic and just do as they please, which seems to be destroying the lives of others."
Shrugging his dark brown shoulders lazily, the brute got to his feet slowly, lazily yawning and stretching his back smoothly, his bushy tail curling over his curved back in reflex. Without a word, he turned slowly, taking his time to walk slowly toward the very tree the chipmunks had disappeared up into and pausing under the shelter of the broad branches, where he proceeded to lay down lazily, only expecting the female to follow if she pleased. He wasn't about to press her into doing what she might not want to, but it only seemed logical to chill out in the shade as opposed to sitting out in the afternoon sun, especially when both of them had black coats.

She sighed silently and took cover in the shade as well. She sighed, listening to the noisy cicadas humming their loud, monotonous songs. She swivled her ears, trying in vain to swat the flies away that buzzed around her. She layed her head down onto her paws. A small growl escaped her chest, as she stared out at the human village. Her eyes became glossy, thinking questions that could never be answered. Why were humans here? Who created them? Why can't they understand the language of the animals? It didn't make sence, well, not to her anyway.

One who is shy never gets noticed, or trys not to. They sit quietly in their corner, watching, observing. Usually that would not be the case with Berry, she was quite a social wolf, but, as she watched the afternoon sun glare in all of it's rage, a slight shyness overcame her today. Her pink wings slightly touched her maw, as if saying "go on, don't be afraid. They are just resting...go on....go" But she did not want to. The mere thought of disturbing a male along with a female embarrassed her. What was wrong with her? Why was she acting like this? Berry was usually so confident...so social. Oh how she longed to drink the fresh goodness of the clear water just down the hill she was standing on, just a few quick strides and then she would go. So she ran down the hill with joy, down she went, almost as fast as those squirrels she had been watching just a few minuets ago. ...She went to fast. A loud splash was heard as Berry fell into the water. With a paddle back to the land, she got up and shook. "please don't look at me...please" she prayed as she attempted to get the water off. The raven hued femme jumped up on surprise. Her hackles and tail raised, her teeth bared. She flexed her own wings, the colours gloomly reflecting off of them. She sniffed the air, a sharp canine tooth peering out of her maw. She snorted at the site of the other wolf.
/Great..another wolf./ She thought angerly. Trying hard to show politeness, rather than anger, she walked over to the other female.
"Hello..." She said rustly. "Who..are you?" She couldn't help but chortle at the water covered wolf.

Unlike the female, the brute was far more casual about the situation. Long before she'd chosen to race down the hill, the new comer had not escaped his notice, the calming summer breeze wafting her scent his way. But, rather than take it upon himself to investigate, he merely remained where he lay in the shed. If the new female wanted attention, she'd come looking for it.
And apparently, he was right. No sooner than he made such a assumption, a mighty splash sounded from the lake nearby and, though he didn't seem concerned at all, the darkly colored brute did turn his head to see, just to make sure the female had not shattered into a million pieces or anything else traumatic. But, he couldn't see her from where he lay, his vision blocked by some tall vegetation, so he stood slowly with a yawn, moving toward the edge of the water slowly.
"You okay in there sweetheart?"

"Hn." She growled shaking her head. "She just wanted some dramatic entrance." She yawned and growled. Two's compony, but three's a crowd. And she didn't like crowds. "Might as well leave Ms. Showoff to lay in the water. Already soiled it with her dirty fur." She said harshly. Rudeness was in her nature, and she couldn't help it. She swivled her ears left and right, tempting the flies out of her ears. She snorted at the other wolf, and returned to her shady spot with a grunt.
