It was a quiet and peaceful walk through the forest that night, as a female wolf walked through the trees, looking for a cozy spot to sleep that night. A owl's call startled her, making her more alert. Walking stiffly, now, she moved her long legs with care, as if she was sneaking up on a small rabbit. It was nearly impossible to see this wolf's appearance in the night, and all that one's eyes could see was an outline of a feminine body. With one second of not paying attention, a loud crack was heard through the unusually quiet forest. Yes, Kiwi was her name, and her clumsy ways caused her to break a twig. Nearly passing out with fright, Kiwi looked around for the cause of the loud noise. Eventually, she realized that it was her own paw and moved on. Everywhere seemed so scary tonight, no where looking comforting for a night's sleep. Superstition does seem to have that effect, especially at night. It can ruin the most comforting experiences, or just make a bad one worse. Kiwi sighed as she remembered her father's warm body watching over her when she walked, not even superstition got to her then. Kiwi continued to walk, lost in thought.
((good?))

oOc| yes, quite good methinks. just a few things. Watch "affect" versus "effect" - "affect" is the verb, and "effect" is the noun. just a good rule to know. ;] Your descriptions are nice, but we could use a little more - what does Kiwi look like? Consider including things fur color, eye color, size, whether she has wings, etc. (doesn't have to be all, though ^^) But don't force it; let it flow, like you have with the rest of your description in your post. overall this is a pretty good start. nice job =)
When someone is meditating, he usually does not let himself be disturbed by anything earthly that might wake a sleeper. But Greenleaf’s meditation was already uneasy, as he was not as fully concetrated as usual, so when the snap of a twig sounded nearby, he was jerked from his attempts at reaching a higher plane. He let out a sad sigh; there had once been days when he could fall into the meditative state without hardly trying.
The breaking of the twig sounded as though it had been caused by a creature far heavier than a mouse or rabbit. Perhaps a wolf like himself. Greenleaf rose from his reclined position and trotted out to meet whoever was walking nearby. He was a friendly wolf, his warm eyes the color of summer trees, much like the ones that surrounded him now. Pale moonlight spotlighted these quiescent trees, as well as the wolf who revered them, showing that his creamy fur had a greenish tint to it. Wings, the shape of veined leaves, lay flat across his back, giving him the overall appearance as a walking plant.
Greenleaf had always had an affinity for the earth, and sometimes cared more for plants than for people. But he was sociable, so it was without fear that he approached the one who was walking through the forest. As he came through a particular tangle of vines and leaves into a clearing, he saw a she-wolf before him, much younger than he was, clearly with her mind on other things. No threat, then, not that Greenleaf had expected one.
He went to intersect her trail, with a friendly smile that extended to his eyes. “Greetings,” he said companionably. “I am Greenleaf, a long-time resident of Shinkou Ookami. What brings you to our lovely Kohai Forests?” Greenleaf’s home, more than anything, was these woods.

Exploring a different world is always a great way for one to escape, leaving the problems of ever day life behind. Kiwi was soothed by her thoughts, they were putting her in a relaxed and peaceful state of mind. It was as if she was meditating without trying. Maybe that is why so many find it difficult to reach the state of mind that they find so wonderful, trying to hard. With the pressure of breathing correctly and keeping a good pose, one would find it quite frustrating.
A voice cracked through her thoughts, bringing her back into the cold night of the forest. It was sudden, and a unpleasant way to arrive. Kiwi turned around, her silver eyes glowing in the night. It would be sunrise soon, and color was spreading across her figure and all around her. A few more minuets and her soft, lavender coat would reveal itself.
"Hello, I am Kiwi, a mere walker of the night. I was looking for a peaceful place to sleep, one where the stars would glow in all of their pride and where the grass would be like a silk pillow, soft and smooth. But now I stand here, the sun rising and a new wolf by my side. It is nice to meet you, Greenleaf." a smile could be seen spreading across Kiwi's face, for Greenleaf reminded her of her father.
((Sorry about that little spelling mistake, I tend to do that sometimes. Thank you, I'll make sure to add how she looks in my future posts.))

oOc| it's not too big a deal =D you really are quite good ^^
When Kiwi responded to him, Greenleaf could not help but be surprised. He had not heard another describe the beauty of nature as such in a very long time. It was indeed how he felt about it—not precisely, but he could sense from this young wolf that she had the same reverence and love for her surroundings as he did. He smiled slowly, kindly.
“You must be something of a poet to depict the world in such a way,” he told her. Indeed, Kiwi reminded Greenleaf of how he had been at that age. Many seasons had passed since then, and though he lost his innocent outlook on the world, he still retained that original adoration for nature’s glory. “The pleasure of meeting you, Kiwi, is all mine. May I walk with you?” He fell in step beside her.
“Where do you hail from?” he asked conversationally. Greenleaf did not talk too much, believing that silence spoke volumes, but he was interested in Kiwi’s story. He had never seen her, which didn’t mean much in this enormous pack, but he did sense from her that she had not been here before.

As sun beams glistened through the trees with warmth and beauty, the mood of the whole forest changed to a happier setting. Birds called out their cheerful notes and the Pitter pat of young rabbits could be heard. It looked sweet, a young wolf and a older wolf walking through the forest, lavender and green are a beautiful combination of color. It was such a beautiful morning that Kiwi could not help but look around. Suddenly, realizing Greenleaf's words, Kiwi came back to reality and responded happily. "I am somewhat of a loner now, I am in the pack, I just tend to not enjoy big crowds." she paused, "I am no poet, I just describe nature the way I see it...sometimes I do it without thinking" A spot of hunger overcame Kiwi as she watched a rabbit hop around. "fancy some breakfast?" she asked Greenleaf eagerly, almost jumping on the rabbit when he just took a breath of air.
((thankyou!)

Walking alongside Kiwi as the sun rose, bringing with it a wakened world, a place full of life and light, was a blissful time for Greenleaf. Long ago, he reflected, he’d had children to share his love of nature with, and a mate whom he loved just as much. But they had long since vanished. Tempest had wanted to travel, and she took Jadeleaf and Dartanian with her. Where were they now? Greenleaf wondered, watching a pair of squirrels chase each other. Wherever they were, he hoped they were enjoying the beauty of nature as much as he was this moment.
He came back to the present when Kiwi spoke. Greenleaf smiled and said, “I am much the same way. I have been on quite a few overly exciting adventures in my lifetime, but I find myself much more content to take it easy, enjoy the simplicity of life. It has been quite some time since I have mingled with a large group of wolves. Luckily, these lands are big enough so that anyone can get away and get some alone time, to spend appreciating the beauty of the natural world.”
Greenleaf raised his eyebrows when Kiwi eagerly pounced on a passing rabbit. “My, you young’uns sure are quick,” he said jokingly, a smile in his emerald-colored eyes. “I would love some breakfast. But you eat what you catch. I’ll get something of my own.” His eyes twinkled merrily. “This old sack of bones isn’t that far gone.” With that, he crouched down and prowled through the forest. Though it was early, the forest was filled with wildlife. Greenleaf was not too hungry, so he hunted a small young rabbit who had been separated from its family. He took a little longer than Kiwi to catch it, but catch it he did, and trotted back to Kiwi with his prize triumphantly in his maw. “Let us eat,” he declared, tucking in to his own meal.
