So Wyndbain and I were talking. Then we got into a discussion over Invisionfree. I told her about how certain HTML cannot be used on the boards in Proboards. And in Invisionfree, you can put all kinds of html in a post.
So then Wom mentioned that she would wager on moving, but would not know how the forum would take it. So it is best that we see how everyone feels about moving Shinkou Ookami from Proboards to Invisionfree.com, but it is not official. This is a poll to see if members like Invisionfree better than Proboards, and see if the move would be worth it.
The Shinkou Ookami here would still be up, of course.
Now, this is only a personal feeling, but Invisionfree would mean only one good thing to me. Though Invisionfree seems to have the same kind of stuff that Proboards have, the difference between Invisionfree.com and Proboards.com is that Invisionfree allows you to post html in all the posts that members make, which means you can do this for roleplay:
You get to put "fancy" tables in posts in which Proboards doesn't allow, and you even get to put music in posts if you wanted to (this is what I've heard; I've never tried this out myself).
Regardless, I am very neutral on this sort of thing. Half of me doesn't want to leave Proboards, and half of me doesn't mind moving at all, of course if everyone else is willing.
So, vote and discuss.
Do you want to move Shinkou Ookami to Invisionfree.com?

Well, to move solely because you want to put fancy, awesome tables in your posts is a bit extreme, and I'd bet that over half of the members dunno HTML, (I sure as hell don't XD), so it would be pretty pointless.... I vote to stay.
Also, all the stuff that would have to be redone, all the shiz and keepsakes transfered, figuring out how to reinstall those cool smileys on Invisionfree, kinda hard :/
But that's just assumption ^^

I agree with Ame. My feelings are is the loading times for some of these "fancy" decals. It's not really nescessary and I think its enough to just have the Name title at the beginning as some of us have. Moving for the sake of moving sounds like a hassel. Proboards as been good to us and I see no reason why we should just move over.

Yeah but that is only my selfish reason, but there might be other reasons because I hear a lot of people say, "Invisionfree is better", especially when I recruit. I'm extremely neutral, and I have no real desire to move, either. The only real interest I have in Invisionfree at all is the use of html and tables in posts. x3 There are actually tons of differences between Proboards and Invisionfree, all of which are very good. So the differences in moving is the same, so basically the POINT in moving would be POINTless unless members WANT to.
Wom and I only want to see what board the members like better. If the reasons make a good enough point, then it might be considered but it is best for everyone as a whole.
The tables would not load any slower as they aren't images, the images ON the tables are the exact same as the picture-texts we have on our Shinkou Ookami boards. So the loading is NOT necessarily a problem unless you have a 56k modem.
Yes, Proboards has certainly never made a problem for us.
Now one problem Wom and I discussed are the html issues on Invisionfree. For her it WOULD be a hassle to load everything up in it.

Personally speaking, I have never liked InvisionFree for the reasons that the controls are slightly weirder for me. Name-changes are impossible as well, and where would the fun be then. I've always been faithful to Proboards, and if the change happened I'd probably be thrown off SO for a while.
Thats just me speaking though. As far as pretty graphics, I could do without em. (Sorry Kaoru) >.>;;; But I'm for sticking with Proboards.

Lol you don't have to say sorry, like I said I'm perfectly neutral with this (not voting). I can live without them too. The ONLY reason I like Invisionfree at all is because of html-use in posts. x3 That doesn't mean I would rather we haul ourselves to Invisionfree, and Wom feels the same way.
Good point, though I'm not experienced in Invisionfree I didn't know certain stuff with that was too tedious to work with and all that other jazz. Looks like a lot of us aren't into Invisionfree! XD
There was a board a long time ago where I joined and it was on Invisionfree. Well I certainly don't like the part where Invisionfree randomly kicks me off of my account.

I have personally been on roleplay boards on invisionfree and proboards, and I like proboards more. I can't really say why, I just like the over all feel of it, and how everything works.

I have personally roleplayed on both proboards and invisionfree XD Between the two, I'm not really sure which I like better. For me, proboards is much easier and more comfortable... maybe cause I'm more used to it. So personally, I'd rather just stay on proboards. But invisionfree is still pretty dang cool XD Its way more complicated, but there's a lot more you can do... I think. But yeh, I'd rather stay with proboards xD

Invisionfree's admin controls are a bit confusing at first, but they're easy once you get the hang of 'em. You can do a lot more with them, too. And yes, there is the potential for fancy HTML. Dial up or limited bandwidth? I believe there's an option for users to turn HTML off. Buuut... I don't think you can change your display name, and moving would be pretty tedious. I think we should stay with proboards unless it decides to do something horrible to us. [/color]
