His black opal eyes glint in the pearlescent reflections of the eternal motions of the water. Hues of jade, topaz and ruby swirl about in the wet depths of his eyes. If they held the power to reflect his soul, they would be a dry, soulless black.
Without moving his head, he raises his eyes towards the horizon. He wishes to himself that he could cast himself into its infernal unforgiving flame, and end this pointless existence. A moment passed as he imagined what it would be like to die in the sun itself.
"Oh, get over yourself, Ex.." He gruffed, irritated.
He was falling into another hopeless pit of despair. Something a lot of wolves fall victim too. 'We are such self loathsome creatures.' He thought as he rolled over onto his back. The rock on which he was laying was suspended about thirty feet from the torried waters below.
He liked it this way, a combination of danger and relaxation. Two things he could never get enough of.
He narrowed his eyes into slant shards as he gazed up at the pale stars. The sun was just beginning to set and everything was a crisp pinkish/orange color. The rich colors washed over his coat. Dreadmane cascading over his chest and face. All he needed was to find some angel trumpets to chew on, and the evening would be perfect.
Dark lids fall over his opal spheres. His deep chest expands as he breaths in the chalky oceanic air. The sun begins to sink into the ocean. He exhales sharply as painful memories flood his mind. How he missed Felony. His body pained as images of her flooded his vision. Her light scent and smooth voice. A sharp breath inwards and the Dreadwolf, looks out across the darkening waters. Tears stain his chiseled muzzle. Overwhelming emotion forces him to succumb to uncontrollable tremors. His body wretches as his lungs draw in ragged breaths.
"I love you, Felony.." He mutters, as he attempts to draw her face in a collection of sand atop the rock. Anger begins to overtake his sadness and he sits erect on his hindquarters, gazing out across the water. His fiery gaze still wet with tears. Without second thought, he flings himself over the rock and his body hits the sand below. His crumpled, awkward form lays motionless.
Pain filled his senses...as Felony filled his mind. He could see her clearly. She was the most beautiful creature...crisp white pelt, steel blue markings in her long dread mane. Her blue-white eyes shining like melting ice. Her womb fat with his pups....Why? Why had she been ripped from him...by something he could never seek revenge?
Her image faded...
"You're still alive, Ex."
He holds his breath until he feels himself getting disoriented. Exhaling loudly, he opens an eye, sand granules clinging to his lashes. He pulls himself up on his forelegs and glances up at the rock above him. He stands and shakes the sand from his pelt. The cool ocean water laps at his paws, frothy foam sticking to the tasseled tufts of hair on his elbow joints.
Excursus hangs his head, padding along through the foam crested waves. Careful to keep his mane and tail dry he increases his speed to a swift canter, kicking up clumps of wet sand.
He heads inland, paws leaving enormous prints behind him. Nares test the salted winds, long jackal-like ears listen intently for anything other than the ocean's whispering. It seems as if this place has seen wolfkind before.

Another set of eyes watched the sunset admirably. Eyes that mirrored the golden colours of the sun. The femme, Kimiya, gazed out into the waters as she searched for answers that could not be found.
As the skies cast the light into darkness she could see the reflection of stars forming a quilt over the waters surface. The waves lapped at the sea shore, relaxing her. In her mind the pain of the past sunk in and she sighed.
She missed her pack, how could she have strayed from them? It was hard to put the pieces together. Two nights ago there had been an accident. She had been attacked and after a short battle she had fallen over a ledge and tumbled into the ocean. She swum for a long time before she had passed out and now she was here. New lands. New wolves. New dangers.
But tonight she felt a stronger pain, and she realised that she was not alone. She could smell the faint scent of salty tears and the scent of the other wolf that was here. Her pain was lifted by the distraction and her gaze fell away from the horizen and scanned the lands endless existence to find the source of the pain.
Alas! Something was moving in the shadows, a dark form silhouetted against an even darker ebony. She thought about coming closer but instead slinked behind a log. She lifted her head and let out a long howl. She was making her presence known but depending on the response she would choose whether or not to bolt or stay.
Kimiya was an innocent wolfess, she didn't want trouble. To males usually she was none. She was stunning, average in size for an arctic wolf but with a very petite frame and long, slender legs. Her fur was long and snowy-white. Not that this stopped some males. There were those who were too dark to appreciate such beauty and innocence, these were the ones who would usually cause chaos and violence. She wanted none of this. She was a wolf of the good allignment though she did have an unnatural attraction to darkness.
Raindrops glistened in her pelt as a light fall of rain had showered not long ago. Still the sky was clear, and what clouds had passed over her earlier were already heading east.

Excursus covered ground easily. The build of his species gave them exceptional speed and agility, but their movement was much different then that of the pure wolf. In fact, where humans had seen sightings of the Dreadwolves, they were often reported as werewolves.
Excursus increased his speed, tearing towards the inland. Huge clumps of sand were tossed upwards by splayed paws. He was enjoying his sprint. It seemed to renew him and direct his powerful emotions to something more tangible. He clenched his jaws and bore into the earth, musculature thrusting him forwards into full throttle. It felt great. Almost as good as a down and dirty scrap.
His jaw dropped as his heavy breathing grew forceful and abrupt. He looked and sounded much like a horse charging across an open plain. His dreadmane spilling all over his head and shoulders with each thrust of his hindlegs. It seemed like a cascade of pale blue, coal, and granite. Now feeling thoroughly run-through, Excursus came to an awkward stop and began a jaunty walk of sorts, his breathing still very heavy.
A howl broke the natural silence. Even through his heavy breathing and clouded thought, he heard it. He stood very erect, his body pointed towards his destination, his head and neck arched sharply over his back and to his right, towards the author of the howl. He looked like a stone statue, spare his dreadmane and tail which were being tousled by the rough oceanic winds.
He picked apart any information he could from the howl. It was probably female, or perhaps a very young male....No...it was an adult female. The call was sustained much too long for it to be a whelp.
His crisp eyes narrowed into shards, and his muzzle wrinkled in slight distaste. She was a natural wolf. Pure and natural. If he was to make himself known to her, she would surely shun him. Spit at him as if he were some giant demonic creature from the depths of the castigate itself.
Excursus scanned the overlying terrain to see if he could spot her, but he could see nothing. Bah. What did he have to lose? What reason did he have to be cautious? Did he have anything to lose but his life? No.
He sneered and thrust himself up on two legs to show the pure wolf, if she could see him, his true breed. Muzzle shot upwards and replied to her call. He howled not once, but three times. Loud and forceful, caring not who heard him.
His message: "I am here. Come to me. Judge me."
The locks of his tail whipped about his hocks as he stood there, eyes daring the unknown. His defiance faded and he returned to his four-posted stance. He regretted his outcry, for there was no way he could defend himself against an entire pack of wolves, natural or not.

She saw him of course. As she studied his large, oversized form her breath was held and her maw open as she gasped. A dreadwolf was something that was foreign to her for she was a young wolfess and she had seen no other canines besides her own species and those very similar to it. This beast was frightening, and she feared for her life.
She listened to his calling and panicked, putting one paw forward before shaking her head and retreating behind the log once more. Finally her dignity won over and she raised her chin, her fear-stricken face replaced with a confident one despite that inside she was trembling.
She leapt up on to the log, the twigs beneath her snapping as she lifted from the ground. They made a loud snap that echoed in the silent night. The light of the silver moon slivered down and cast itself upon her glorious beauty.
Swiftly she proceeded, heading towards him without hesitation. Her body was stiff, tail upright and ears layed back as her lips curled upwards flashing her gums and sharp teeth.
She did not growl but stopped infront of him, standing her ground. She was now very close to him, maybe a metre or two from where he stood, waiting for her. Her mind was very critical of this creature, his front legs in particular.
She had heard of anthropomorphism before, and though this was not the case for this wolf she could pick out the human-like qualities. She knew that he was larger and stronger than she was and she could only pray that he did her no harm.
She sniffed the air and sensed that there were other wolves in the area, but further out. She was new to these lands and so had no back up.
He was very musculine, she would even go as far as to say that he was handsome, but a very different kind of handsome. What did not appeal to her was that he was so much larger and stronger than herself that if they were to fight not only would she end up badly wounded, but easily dead. This did not stop her from curling her lips, cautious and prepared.
"Shall you bring me any misfortune tonight, wolf?"
That settled it. She doubted that he had any intentions of killing her for she was the one that had howled and let him know of her presence. He hadn't been hunting as far as she was aware, he hadn't been out for a kill. -Harmless, he's harmless- she thought to herself, though she didn't really believe it.

Excursus lowered his head, eyes transfixed as a figure of ethereal qualities stalked toward him bravely. Behold, she was a pure wolf and one of exceptional quality. He had never seen one like this...the coat was pale and so pristinely vibrant it had an almost azure glow. She did not seem to be frightened of him as she approached him directly, her path was true. He noticed as she neared that she was displaying a passive warning. Pearl daggers glistened in the dim light. He admired her courage and forthrightness.
His eyes did not divert from her form. They focused on the face of the femme as she stopped before him. Silence for a moment as she tested the wind.
Her voice.....sharp as viper's fangs and soft as down.
He marveled a moment at the fact that she had not shun him immediately. Of course, she would not be so ignorant to do that without the help of her pack, and surely, a femme like this was at the head of some pack. Perhaps she had already alerted them. Otherwise, a lone wolf-and female at that- would have to be extremely brave or equally stupid to approach him alone. Excursus could handle any single wolf...but a pack was a different story.
"Trouble?..." His voice was deep, dark, and soft spoken. His mother used to joke that he had the voice of the Castigated Wolf (Devil) himself.
His eyes met hers. They were wide and liquid against his face. He arched his neck as he stood at full four-legged height, eyes not leaving hers. They were different creatures, yet..the same.
"You're not alone...are you?" He said darkly. His tassel flicked idly at his hocks.

It figures, she thought. He did not want to be brought to his fatal end and of course, she would not be the one to bring him to his death. She had an advantage in that he did not know this. As his words were spoken her tenseness ceased and she was bemused. He had no way of knowing that she was alone.
As she pondered over this the thought of her being the member of a pack was absurd. Since her puphood she had never been around other wolves. She was a loner and though she had stumbled upon many wolves before she had never found any packs that she felt like becoming a part of. The thought of living in a pack was tempting, she was sick of feeling so alone. Every time she had the chance to join a pack she found herself backing out however. It was a controlling environment, living ruled by those who were in the upper hierachy. Maybe she would have her own pack some day, but if she did she would have to be the Alphess. She would not serve anyone.
Looking up him now she did not know whether he would even annihilate her if he knew that she was just a lone wolf. Looking at him she considered him to be of the dark side, though she could not be certain. If she went by looks he defiantly matched the appearance she would identify with evil but his appearance was genetic and she couldn't really hold it against him.
"Well, that's for me to know and you to find out" she gave a soft laugh and then dipped her muzzle in acknowledgement. "I am Kimiya, and who might you be?"
Fears now at rest, Kimiya felt safe. The two of them were isolated with her imaginary pack for protection. It must have been out of sheer stupidity and curiosity that had driven her to approach Excursus in the first place. If first impressions were correct he was of the dark side but this made her even more curious.
One thing Kimiya had not expected on this night was for there to be any thing more life threatening than this wolf. She was defiantly mistaken for as she talked to Excursus she found herself distracted by the rustling in the bushes nearby. They were not alone.

Excursus drew his lips back in an accepting smirk as he glanced off into nowhere in particular. So, she would not reveal her status, hmm? 'She's alone'...he thought smugly.
"Alright then, Kimiya, I am Excursus." He said with a ever-so-slight cordial nod of the head.
His face was solemn. Eyes deep-set and brows almost always furrowed, giving him a dark, worried appearance. His eyes were the only part of him that still revealed a soul; every now and then, one could see the glitter of vitality reflected in his opal eyes, but not often.
Insects of the night droned their song as the moon traversed it's way slowly over the sappiresque sky. The roaring of the waves gave the area a poetic ambience. The rough, oceanic breezes moving the salt grass like green waves....through all these sounds...there was one out of place.
A threatening, gutteral vibration poured from Excursus's throat. Long, jackal-like ears pressed back, and his muzzle wrinkled in a silent snarl. Tassel raised and his posture tensed, Excursus glared towards the visitor.....whoever...whatever it may be. He did not trust it. He did not trust the femme. He did not like this, and he did not hide his feelings.
"Friend of yours?" He muttered, tension apparent in his voice. Eyes narrowed into sharp slits as he studied her face. "Play friend, then have your cohorts slay me?" He exhaled deeply as if accepting his own stupidity. Of course...would a pure wolf ever accept him so easily? 'No..' He thought angrily as he prepared to do battle.

"No. I am an outsider to these lands."
She finally admitted the truth and slinked over to stand beside Excursus, not daring to let her golden eyes leave the sight of the woods. There were two of them, then again Excursus could count as two on his own. Still as the rustles in the bushes continued eyes began to glitter in the darkness. Looking at the eyes she realised that they did not belong to a wolf, but something. Much more cat-like.
At first there was only one set of eyes, before another, and another. Then one at a time they stepped out of the bushes. They were black cats.
"Panthers" Kimiya muttered.
The first was a large, beefy black cat. His fur was mattered from previous fights and a scratch was scarred through one eye, the eye itself blind and white in colour. He sunk his claws into the earth below before he let out a wild yowl.
Beside him were four female panthers. They were all tall and lanky. They stood around him, pleasure sparked in their eyes at the thought of attacking these wolves. Their tails were raised, their fur was on end.
Kimiya had seemed to have had enough time to get a close enough look at each of them that she was suprised when the panthers started to race forwards at an amazing speed towards them. It had only been a split second that she had not been prepared for.
The panthers leapt up into the air to spring upon their opponents. They noticed that Excursus was the larger of the two and so the male and two of his mistresses went for him while two of the other felines leapt towards Kimiya. Both were larger than Kimiya.
Kimiya had been standing close to Excursus, a bit too close in fact, and had been looking at him in panic before she felt a set of claws pierce her skin.

It was happening all too quickly. Excursus's mind slowed down the situation, judging what must be done. There was no time to flee, they must fight.
Coat bristled and tassel raised defiantly as the powerful black felines made their assault. Cats fought very differently from wolves..they used their powerful forelegs to swat their prey stupid then lay the deadly bite. Their screams were pure hell cries...
Excursus tensed ready....but could they overtake them all?
A female barreled into Kimiya...he wanted to help her...but she must hold her own until he subdued the monster male panther. "Don't let them swat you!" Excursus snarled, lips peeling back to reveal two and a half inches of canid weapons. He turned to face the onslaught. Excursus raised himself on two legs, slightly, crouching as if ready to spring skyward. The panther and his harem flooded the area with blackness. He leaped into the air, reaching incredible height, then landed to the side of the scarred panther and bore heavily into his neck. Eyes closed as he was rained opon with heavy blows. He did not release until he felt the warmth of steady blood flow seep down his neck. Excursus released and pushed off of the panther. "Kimiya!!" Excursus barked. He could not see her through the mass of black pelts and flying claws. It was futile..he could not win fighting like this...he would have to turn to other methods....
He freed himself from the tangled mess of cats and bolted for a peice of driftwood...taking it in his mouth, he broke it using his paw, exposing a sharp edge. He turned and faced the stalking cat. Standing at full height, Excursus roared at the cat. Moonlight washed over his frame, chest heaving as the oceanic winds provided him with sustenance. The cat lunged at him. Excursus used all of his strength to knock the cat out of the air, who laid sprawled out, and slightly confused. The panther yowled angrily, spitting and worled around to face him again. It's eyes were luminescent, cold and souless.
It lunged again, hitting Excursus square in the chest knocking him backwards and flat on his back. He was stunned for a moment as the cat sunk it's vice jaws into his chest muscle and shook him violently. "Eeeraaagghhh!!!" Excursus snarled, laying a huge paw across the panther's snout with terrible force. This time, the panther sunk his teeth into Excursus's shoulder muscle. Excursus's eyes watered, his mouth was agape...tongue lolling about in his heavy breathing.."the pain...must stop.." He thought desperately. He sunk the driftwood into the back of the cat's neck. The panther yowled in pain and tried to rise away from Excursus, but the Dreadwolf used his powerful forelegs to hold the cat close to him, bearing the sharp driftwood into the neck vertebrae. It seemed like an eternity....but the cat was finally dead.
Sounds of a waiting battle roared on behind him...Kimiya must still be alive...it was a miracle.
Excursus pushed the heavy black corpse off of him and stood up. Blood soaked his chest and stomach fur. His breathing was ragged and dry. Pain seethed though his shoulder and chest....
The battle had only begun.

The claws sank into Kimiya's back, two sets. The weight of the cats caused her legs to shake before they collapsed and Kimiya tumbled to the ground, their force rolling her backwards. She felt the rocks scrap against her cheek and let out a piercing cry.
The two felines were still at her, their claws and teeth sinking in to her skin. She could feel the piercing sensations digging in to her skin everywhere. Her head, neck, shoulders and back were all splurting with blood. Despite the size of the cats they had not done all that much damage. The pierces to the skin were minor wounds and only trickled lightly in blood.
Kimiya flashed her canines and grabbing one cat by the throat managed to pull herself upright, ripping a chunk of fur and flesh from the she-cat's throat as she did so. The cat stumbled back while the other was distracted by Excursus's fight with the male. Kimiya had heard Excursus cry so looked as well.
She saw that Excursus was alive and had taken down the male panther. She smiled, one down, four to go. These females were no where near as strong as that male had been she figured. They still seemed huge compared to her.
Having had a moment to catch her breath Kimiya turned back to the panthers. She leapt into the air, landing on top of one of their backs. She bared her teeth and sunk them into the panthers neck forming puncture holes and slowly but surely taking the cat down. The she-cat couldn't breathe, gasping and wailing as she tried to throw Kimiya off, unable to claw her or bite her from this position.
The other panther that had been after Kimiya was now biting at Kimiya's hind leg that was hanging over the other panthers back. Kimiya's golden eyes had a strange, wild glow as she killed her opponent with excitement.
The panther fell, as did Kimiya. "Three left" she acknowledged. Kimiya let go of the panthers throat and left them laying limply on the ground.
The other panther pounced down on Kimiya, this time slashing its claws into her face. Kimiya was hit hard and for a moment her vision blurred and she felt a dizzyness overwhelm her. "Excursus.." she mumbled. She felt the cat hit her over and over and cried in torture as the claws set into her muzzle time and time again. Her snow-white face was covered in drops of blood and as she felt it stop and the mouth of the cat strangle her throat she gave up.
She could vaguely see Excursus now, two female panthers before him. She did not know what was going on or who was winning. She certaintly wasn't. "Exc..." she tried to say, but it was too hard. Her breath was raspy as she tried to breathe in air but was unable to.

Excursus felt adrenaline pulsing through his veins. The terrible pain in his shoulder and chest subsided. The muscles were not torn, only deeply punctured. He let a ragged snarl rip from his throat as he charged the panther biting at Kimiya's hindquarters, the other one was hammering her face. He knocked the cat with such force, she flew backwards and lay sprawled on the ground choking for air. He then lunged full-force into the soft portion of skin behind the other cat's foreleg. He clenched his jaws and shook violently until he felt his teeth through to the other side, letting go he leapt back, the cat spun to face him, spitting and swatting. Excursus could smell Kimiya's blood everywhere.
The two combatants face each other rotating in a circle. Excursus looked demented. He had been spun into full fighting mania. A jagged toothed grin spread across his maw then he lunged into the cat, sinking his jaws heavily into the cat's chest. Excursus locked on. Digging the claws of his hindlegs into the soil, he gripped and shook the cat with all his might. Using his forelegs, he pushed against the panther until she toppled over, exposing every part vulnerable.
Without hesitation, he dove into the thick skin of the cat's neck. Jaws clenched and released, each time vying for a deeper bite until Excursus felt the resistance of the trachea. Once he found it, he crushed it. He released, leaving the cat to drown in it's own blood.
The other panther was pacing just a few feet away..seemingly in shock of the defeat and loss of her clan.
Excursus took a few steps towards the addled cat. His head was low, tail stiff and level with his back. His eyes were locked on the cat. Blood covered his face, chest and forelegs. He meant business. Muzzle twitched and wrinkled into a berserk smile. A long, raspy snarl echoed from his throat.
The cat bolted for the tree line. Excursus torpedoed after it, snarling the entire way. He leapt like a tiger into the air and landed on the panther's rump. He sunk his teeth into the skin and shook, knocking the cat over.
Nothing could be seen but the top of Excursus's back over the tall salt grass. The terrible noise of killing ruined the peacefulness of the beach. He killed the panther mercilessly.
Once it was dead, he stood over the bloody corpse, still snarling at it. Tongue emerged from his bloody maw and removed the blood from his snout. With a triumphant flick of his tail, he trotted back towards Kimiya, whom he hoped was still alive.
As he approached, he saw that her once crisp white pelt was now ridden with matted blood and dirt. She was breathing....he was releived.
Exhaustion overwhelmed him, and he collapsed. His eyes rolled into his head...he just wanted to sleep..forever.

Kimiya missed what happened next. She had past out but came to soon enough, realising that Excursus had saved her and just in time. He lay near her now, exhausted. He must have killed all of them.
She sat up, panting, and gazed around. The shoreline was a sea of blood and black bodies. It was just the two of them. Staring at Excursus now she didn't know what to think of him. His allignment to good or evil was unrevealed to her still. He hadn't shown her who he was but after this incident it was obvious that neither one was out to hurt the other.
Slowly she slid over to Excursus and lay down against him, nudging his muzzle. She whined softly, tired and drained of life. The scent of blood lingured in the air -- her own, Excursus's and the panthers. It had a sickly smell to it that made her feel woozy.
It was still early in the night and her stomach gurgled. She had been going to do some hunting tonight but now she was too tired and Excursus didn't look like he'd be getting up any time soon.
She half-expected to wake up in the morning being pecked alive by vultures. She laughed in her mind, not daring to let it out loud. Any twitch of her mouth made her whole face ache.
This place was her new home. She didn't know what she was - good or evil. She supposed she was somewhere inbetween. She was neutral in ways, but was continuously pushed to one side. She thought back to the pack she had just lost and couldn't make out the situation. Her pack had been in constant battle with another pack and now that she thought of it it was for selfish reasons. Who was she?

It was a blank, deathly sleep that had overcome him. Adrenaline had pushed his body farther than it should go.
Soreness on the borderline of cruelty rocked through his left shoulder and chest muscle. He opened an eye, jagged shard of greens, blues, and gold caught the virgin light of the day. Excursus moaned as he raised his head. Maw heavily encrusted with the blood of his vanquished. Nares quivered trying to discern more details from his surroundings. His eyes could barely open..vision blurred. He sniffed in futility..blood had clotted in his snout. Taking a huge paw, he crammed his tender muzzle into it, attempting to free the clots. He sneezed the most painful sneeze of his life...and the debris was free.
He could smell diceased corpses...panthers....wolf's blood....and Kimiya. Her's was not the smell of a corpse.
"Kimiya..." He muttered. Craning his neck, vision still blocked. (blood covered his eyes and face)
Nares pulsed frantically until they were buried in a wolf's pelt. Kimiya. Warm and alive. "You survived..." His voice was deep and dry.

"So did you...suprisingly" she had been awake for awhile now. It had not taken her very long to get to sleep but now that she was rested her mind was once again pondering who she was. As Excursus spoke though her mind was put to ease.
She removed her muzzle that was buried in his fur and began to lick the blood away from his eyes. She tried to be gentle though she figured that it must have hurt a lot.
"I think you were a lot worse off than me. I nearly died but...now that I am not being strangled I am in okay shape. Not that you would think so." She wrinkled her nose at the scent of blood, blood that was dotted all over her ivory coat.
She lay her chin back down on Excursus's front paw and sighed softly. What a night... The panther clan smelt rotten and she didn't think that she wanted to remain here any longer. At the same time she was enjoying the comfort of Excursus though she knew that she shouldn't. It would proberly result in more harm than good. She just didn't want to be alone in these new lands. Especially not after last night. What if he hadn't of been there? What if he hadn't of protected her?
Thoughts of where the tides had carried her to and of what these lands had in store for her terrified her. She had once been in a secure pack that could always offer her protection and now... She raised her eyes to look up to Excursus's face. She was being daft. She didn't have him. She had no one.

Excursus sighed heavily and breathed deeply, drawing the warm morning air into his lungs. It was putrid and it turned his empty stomach. He could see now, quite clearly, now that Kimiya had freed him from his killer's burden.
She was such a sweet creature. How had she survived? It puzzled him. It reminded him of the pansy....such a tiny, delicate looking flower..often used as a comparison for insult, but that tender little flower could stand the most extreme of conditions. He chuckled at his train of thought, and rose from his laying position, ignoring the searing pain.
She had not abandoned him. Why? Was she attempting to use him as a sentinel until she found her destination? What were her motives to share coastline with this Dreadwolf?
He nodded politely and turned towards the salted sea. His gait was tripodal at times as he favored his injuries. Stepping into the surf, his eyes closed momentarily as the sting of the healing waters washed through his wounds, and removed the crusted blood. Soon, the sting subsided and it felt completely relaxing.
He cast a peircing gaze towards Kimiya further up on the shore. Stepping from the depths of the waves into the more shallow, he paused, letting the waves wash over his paws, the crests carrying the tips of his tail to and fro in the rhythmic current.
The sun gleamed down opon him, drying the short areas of his goat. It gleamed a bright, silverish grey. Stepping from the wet sand into the dry, his musculature moved smoothly under his coat like a tiger's. Every sinew and muscle could be seen under the sleek coat.
He stood still, eying Kimiya with intensity. What did this pure wolf want with him? Was she lonely? Afraid? Most wolves like her were disgusted with him.
