Tenshi walked over to the falls and lay under a constant sheet of white water.She splashed and played for several minutes until she noticed that there was a cave behind the white screen. She laughed, water trickling off her four tails, dripping into small puddles. The cave seemed to go on for ages, moss growing on some of the walls. She walked deeper into the cave, suspicious of the mold that grew on the walls. She eventually returned to the entrance to rest.

Alastolan has been flying for hours to reach the magnificent sight of the waterfalls. One place he thought to be the most beautiful in the world with the sound of the rushing water splashing into pools which ran into more falls. His jet black fur shone with healthiness in the bright sun as he landed. The gray, blue and red markings all along his body very clearly seen to all who layed eyes upon him in such bright daylight. Leaning his head down to drink from the water he lapped it up until he was satisfied as he noticed the scent of another wolf nearby who had been in the waters. The smell was strong and fresh so with his head now turning side to side he looked in all directions to see where it might have gone.
Spotting the cave behind the waterfall, he decided to go explore it. But as soon as he passed under the waterfall and stepped into the entrance he saw the wolf who had been there. Or rather, wolfess. The first thing he noticed was her four tails. Quite unique and something he had never seen before on any wolf. Then it was her eyes that captivated his own. Such deep blue that sparkled in the reflections of the sun through the waterfall. For a moment his mind went blank as he couldn't take his eyes off her, his muscular frame just standing there silently. Finally gathering himself together he managed to speak with a gentle smile after shaking the water from his fur. "Hey there! My name's Alastolan. What's yours?"

"Hello Alastolan, I am Tenshi." she said simply. Tenshi didn't trust herself to say much more. She glanced at the red and blue markings on his chest and face. She was intrigued by his apparent gentleness, even though she hadn't seen him do anything much yet. Strange, she thought. She stared into his eyes, realizing that they were different colors. One was a sparkling emerald green, the other a deep sapphire blue, similar to her own. His overall appearance fascinated Tenshi.
She padded over to him and lay down.
"Where are you from, Alastolan? I wander around a lot, but this island is my main home." she said feeling quite happy, although the wolf hadn't spoken much.

"Tenshi.... I like that name. It means 'Angel' if I'm not mistaken. Quite a fitting name for your looks if you don't mind me being a bit forward." He spoke with a smile on his face and chuckled a bit as he layed down in front of her. "Well as far as where I come from, I'm sort of a wanderer myself. Not too much that keeps me in one place. I do however like to come here a lot. It's one of my favorite places to visit actually. The sound of the waterfalls, the clear skies, the gentle breeze that never fades and how pure the water is for drinking. Everything about this area makes me come back time and time again." His eyes were closed as he described the reasons for this area to be his favorite to come to. He drew in a deep breath as he slowly let it out. "So you said this island is your main home correct? What is it that draws you here to this place for it to be your 'main' one?" He always spoke with a warm and caring smile. He looked to his right wing as he extended and flapped it to shake the excess water off. Doing the same with his left after he finished the right.

Tenshi felt delighted and a bit embarrassed as Alastolan spoke of her name.
"Thankyou, I like your name too. It has a wonderful sound to it and I agree, this too is one of my favourite places." she paused listening to the gurgling of the water, "As for why this is my main home, it is because my sister is continuously trying to kill me. She is a nasty piece of work, but she cannot fly well enough to get here so I am fairly safe here."
She looked dreamily into Alastolan's eyes. "However, I have been lonely since." She sighed.

Alastolan listened to her talking intently. The sound of her voice almost mesmerizing him. After she had answered his question, he noticed how she was looking into his eyes and his smile became a bit more loving. "I can't imagine how it would feel to have a family member trying to kill you... your own flesh and blood. Family is supposed to be the closest people we have in our lives that we can always depend on. But I can relate to the being lonely part. After I got old enough, I set out on my own I've been wandering the world by myself. There has been a few others I've met along the way but it never lasted more than a day...." His eyes were transfixed on Tenshi's. "I'm tired of being lonely myself. For years I've searched the world for someone I could call a real friend that I could be with, perhaps something more if it was a girl and developed right, but to no avail so far." He paused for a moment as his smile widened. "How would you like to be my friend Tenshi? I would rather enjoy your company and that way neither of us has to be alone." His eyes brightened up at the thought, hoping she would agree to his offer.

Tenshi nodded while Alastolan spoke. "Tell me about it. Yes I would love to be your friend" she replied, eyes filling with hope.
"Hey, Alastolan? Do you want to explore this cave? I didn't get that far into it before I needed a break and returned here." she asked.
She stared down the cave. It was damp and dark, but the moss was comfortable to walk on and the cave seemed to be quite long.
"Trust me, the darkness won't be a problem."

Alastolan smiled widely at her agreement to become friends. "That's great! I'm sure we'll get along wonderfully. And as for exploring this cave, I'd honestly love to explore it with you. Many times I've seen caves around the waterfalls but never did explore any of them. It would seem rather boring to do so by myself so I figured I'd wait until I managed to find someone I could do it with. Luckily I bumped into you. And not only do I have someone to explore with, but now I can explore it with a friend." His eyes glowed with happiness as he looked at Tenshi. A new person who is so kind that he could call his friend and to have found her in his favorite place to visit no less.

Tenshi was overjoyed. She used her magic to mold the flame she kept behind her ear to make a hovering torch. She split the flame to make one for Alastolan. "Here," she said, passing the flame over "It will hover near you as you walk, but don't touch it. I'm happy to finally have someone to explore with, especially you!"
Tenshi started to wander into the cave, staring into the darkness. Occasionally she would make her flame shoot forward, and come back again. She still could not see how far the cave went. She looked at Alastolan again, realizing how strong he looked. She was so happy just taking in his overall appearance yet again, she tripped over a rock that stuck up from the floor.

Alastolan watched as she molded the flame she used for lighting and split it to hover over him as well. At first he was curious as to why he shouldn't touch it but ended up shrugging it off. Into the cave they went as the darkness grew from the lack of sunlight flowing in. Each time she sent her flame forward to light up the path ahead and no end was to be seen, he began to wonder just how deep the caves went and how many paths there were and mysteries were held inside them. The next thing he knew he was witnessing Tenshi trip over a rock.
He laughed a bit as he walked over to her and flared his right wing out, wrapping it around her to pull her gently against his toned, muscular side and pick her up. With a smile he looked at her and spoke. "Are you okay?" His eyes showed he cared about her well-being and was genuinely concerned if she had hurt herself tripping. He looked down for a moment and back to her as his curiosity peaked a bit, his wing still wrapped around her. "You said you were happy to have someone to explore with, 'especially' me. What makes me so special?"

"I'm okay," Tenshi replied, feeling silly. "Well, everything about you makes you special, from your eyes to your kindness. Absolutely everything."
She felt comfortable with Alastolan's wing wrapped around her. It was soft and warm. She wrapped her tails around his as a sign of thanks. She smiled. "It's funny isn't it? The very day I discovered this cave, I discovered you. I'm lucky, very lucky."
Tenshi was definitely very fond of Alastolan, Although she didn't really know for sure how much. All she knew for sure was that he was one of the kindest wolves she had met.

Alastolan smiled at her reply as he kept his wing folded around her. As she wrapped her tails around his he gave a bit of a playful and gentle tug with his wing to press her against him a bit more before letting up. "You're the first one to ever say I was special. Not even my parents. They said I was 'unique'. my mother was of pure white fur, my father, jet black. I was born with the color and marking you see me with now. And neither of them had wings. They have no idea how I was born with such traits so they called me unique. And I believe I am the lucky one to have met you." He smiles as he continues to hold Tenshi closely with his wing and standing there, just looking into her eyes with his own bi-colored ones.

Tenshi smiled again. "I would have never guessed" she said, "How intriguing. I'm just so happy."
She rubbed her head against Alastolan's neck, trying to show that she cared about him a lot too. She stood in silence, content with just being with him. She was thinking of all the times she had almost made friends.
Tenshi heard another wolf outside, jumping around the pools.
Shiro Tora was having fun. She rather liked this island, although she considered floating rock strange. She leaped and splashed, the water flinging up all around her. Her white, spiky fur glimmered as it got wetter and wetter. She laughed as she played. She couldn't believe she had found this place. She loved the water trickling down the rivers.
"There is another wolf outside," Tenshi sighed. She had enjoyed the company of just Alastolan. "Should we see who it is?" she asked, still upset that the stranger had come at all.
(OCC: If you want, Shiro Tora can leave. I'm not really sure why I added her to this thread.)

Alastolan couldn't help but feel happy in the presence of Tenshi. There was something about her that made him feel like he was back with his family once again. When he had heard the splashes and her mention another wolf was outside he simply looked back over his shoulder. At her offer to see if they should go check it out, he turned his head to think for a moment but calmly shook his head with a smile. "I think it should be fine. Whoever it is they just seem to just want to play in the water." He smiled lovingly at her as he rubbed his head against her neck as she did him. "Let's just continue to explore shall we?" He kept his wing around her as he awaited for her to lead the way. He looked over at her fur which was drying now and noticed the spiky fur around the back of her head and neck. "That's a good look for you by the way. I like it."

"I does sound like they're having fun. They probably don't even know we're here." she said, "Yes, I think exploring the cave further sounds nice. Thankyou, although most wolves think the spikes make me look weird. Mind you, they usually don't see past the tails."
Instead of leading, Tenshi decided to walk beside Alastolan. She felt calm, happy and safe in his company. She kept on sending the fire down the length of the cave. However, she thought she could see an opening where light was streaming down.
"Can you see that Alastolan?" she asked, "I think there's an opening up ahead. Perhaps it could be a nice place to rest."
Shiro Tora was getting bored... and hungry... and tired... There seemed to be nothing and no-one around, so she left, stomach grumbling, in search of food.
