The femme trudged along on tired paws, the bright red fur that covered them dulled down considerably by all the dirt that she had kicked up walking for so long. The grass felt nice and cool with each step, however it wasn't enough to keep her from finally stopping and resting. Vivid realized her flame coloured pelt would stick out in the middle of the field she was in, too concerned about tending to her cracked pads, and cleaning up a bit of her pelt from the dry dirt that left dull patches on her legs and paws to care. Although she made her way over to a dense bush to try and hide a bit better. She sat back on her haunches and brought a paw up to be cleaned by her long, flat pink tongue, silver hues shifting as her auds swiveled to watch and listen to the area around her, as her raven black nose twitched to try and scent anything that wasn't her own paw. Once having cleaned herself up she flopped down quietly, front paws crossed under her head on which it rested. The night was still young, with the moon a sliver in the full, massive night sky, stars shining to illuminate the field she faced. It wasn't clear however, many clouds being splashed along the sky. Cut from her day dreaming, or night dreaming in this case, her auds pivoted as her eyes shot from the sky to the general area in which she thought she heard something. Vivid let her head raise from her paws, trying to look about the area more. She didn't smell anything, but she didn't expect to when the wind was directed in the area she was looking, meaning someone had probably found her, or at least scented her. Whether they decided to come or not was a different story, and she nearly hoped they did. Unless of course, they held ill intentions. She really wasn't in the mood to deal with a fight or have to run, being tired still from her long walk. Maybe if she was lucky they had fresh kill, but that was unlikely. she'd have to hunt later, if she survived the possible encounter.

Varadoss was lying down in the grassy fields below the majestic night sky, facing the wind breathing in the fresh air ready to eat his night-time snack. Which of course was more like a feast to most other creatures as it consisted of four whole deer. Softly he spoke to himself. "What a perfect night. A cool breeze, a fresh snack and a starry sky. Couldn't ask for more except maybe some company." Varadoss began to eat his "snack" and after the first two deer had been devoured bones and all, he looked at the other two that remained and decided to keep them for a bit later. Grabbing them by the legs in either side of his giant mouth he began take off and only after slightly getting off the ground with a little altitude he saw another creature not too far away.
Wondering is this would be an addition to his snack or perhaps someone to talk to as he had been lonely for a while now, he swooped down and glided just above the ground. Coming closer in to view he noticed it was a wolfess lying on the ground. Varadoss picked up his speed just a bit to get to her slightly faster before slowing himself down and landing roughly 10 feet from her. Stretching out his body to full length it was clearly visible just how large he was as his entire 42 foot and 7 inch figure was visible before he coiled up a bit and dropped the remainder of his so-called snack from his jaw. "Well hello there. I'm Varadoss, a Timeless Dragon. What might your name be young one?" He was about to begin eating his snack again but thought better of it and considered it rude to eat in front of others without offering them anything.

Sanka was making his own way towards the femme that lay in front if him. She was tending to her sore paws no doubt. He thought he would warn her about being out in the open at night. Shinkou was never a safe place for those who didn't conceal themselves. Just as he got close he picked up the scent of metal and blood. It wasn't a familiar scent, so i couldn't have been Solace or Grix. He ran to hide in nearby bushes, concealing himself from the unknown threat. The sound of wings was heavy in the air letting him know it was some sort of winged beast. He scanned the dark skies and found what he was looking for, a dragon. Rather large, with no legs but plenty of wings. Sanka looked for a weakness but it seemed the creature was heavily guarded in amour. If worst came to worst Sanka would have to latch onto his wings and rip them to shreds. It was the only way to bring down such a large beast.
Having gathered all his information, and listening to the Dragon introduce himself, he was sure that the dragon wanted no trouble. He left the cover of his bush and walked steadily over to the duo.
"Hello Varadoss," he said. He caught the name from the bushes, he still waited on the femmes.

Vivid blinked a bit lazily before seeing a larger shape move quite a ways away, and it only seemed to get bigger the closer it got. Within a second of being able to make out it's general shape, she got to her paws and was ready to run if it got too close, which it did, but fear from seeing such a strange, huge creature seemed to freeze her and try as she might, she couldn't budge. Wings, lots of wings, and the scent of blood was all she really caught before shutting her eyes tightly, imagining the huge thing swooping her up to deliver a fatal blow with a crunch of it's jaws. When she heard him land, and speak her eyes shot open, fear replaced with pure wonder in seeing something other then a wolf. Vivid fell back on her haunches, bright hues scanning over the 'dragon' as he had mentioned while her mind worked a mile a minute, both telling her to run, and trying to figure out how such a creature came to be. "Varadoss.." She repeated quietly to herself after shaking her head to clear her thoughts. Clearly he meant no harm, or else he would of done it already, so what was the harm in making friends? Before she was able to speak another voice spoke out, causing her head to turn swiftly to see something familiar, a wolf come out from the bushes close to her own. Hackles raised a bit as she muttered under her breath, scolding herself for not being careful enough, as clearly this wolf escaped her senses. He didn't seem a danger, but he spoke somewhat like he knew the dragon, or maybe he was listening in, either way if they were trouble, she was as good as dead. Ignoring the wolf who had walked up for a moment, she gazed back to the dragon with a small smile. "Vivid, it's nice to meet you Varadoss." Her gaze shifted to the dark wolf that to her at least, had remained nameless, tilting her head in question as she asked, "And you are..?" OOC: Sorry, just woke up. Figured I'd reply before leaving to school. Hope it's enough to work with. ^^

((OOC: Yeah it's plenty to work with don't worry bout it ;D and sorry for the slightly short post. Having a writers block atm lol.))
As Varadoss awaited the response from the femme, his attention was drawn to the voice of another wolf. "Well now it seems there's more wolves here tonight than I thought." After redirecting his attention back to the wolfess he heard her response and bowed his head slightly. "A pleasure to meet you Vivid. If either of you are hungry you're welcome to have as much as you'd like from the remaining snack I have here. I ate the other 2 I had and the kills are rather fresh. I got them not even 10 minutes ago hardly and would be happy to share." Varadoss' gaze was drawn back to the other wolf as he heard Vivid ask who he was. "I too am curious to know who you are young one. It's not too often I actually get to talk with wolves since most run away the moment they see me."

Sanka bowed his head at the femme who had just introduced herself as Vivid. Seeing the two dead deer Sanka assumed that's where the stench of blood that hung so lazily in the air came from. He turned down the gesture of kindness and introduced himself to the duo.
"You may know me as Sanka," he said simply putting an end to their questions. "Now Varadoss, a 'Timeless Dragon' you say. Are you...immortal?" he asked, hoping to cure his own curiosity.
Sanka was aware that his question may have seemed kind of bold and disrespectful, but it was just the way he was. He didn;t like beating around the bush, and he hated having questions stuck on his mind; so he just got them out of the way as quickly as possible, however harsh they may sound.
He watched Vivid as he waited for an answer, he was curious to see wether or not she would dig right in. Her pads must be sore from all the walking, there was no way she'd turn down a meal if it meant she didn't have to run. he thought.

She dipped her head back respectively, still curious for his own name. The offer of food seemed to go right past her, hunger dissolved into wonder at the large dragon before her, and the odd wolf. After the awe in it all had passed, her nose twitched and she realized something wasn't quite right. The thick smells of blood and beast came to her nose, the smells of everything around them besides the wolf other then herself it seemed. While the dragon spoke, she noticed that her assumptions were wrong, and that the two didn't know each other. He did however give them a name, and much like the dragons she repeated it quietly to herself. Not so much to remember, just so she wouldn't sound silly saying it for the first time like she always seemed to do. If she ever had to say their names. The dark wolf was bolder with his words, asking what she was questioning silently, and she was glad. Mostly because she didn't have to put herself in the deadly position if the question irritated the dragon. Not that she wanted this wolf dead... She was given time to think things over and listen to the both of them speaking, catching the males glance shift her way she looked off to the other side awkwardly. Vivid enjoyed eye contact, but she wasn't yet done looking over the scentless wolf, trying to figure out what made him that way. His eyes simply could not be met with her curiosity, or if they were it would of been hard to do. She hoped that perhaps Varadoss would get his gaze off of her, at least long enough for her to look over him decently to see if anything was... Off, with him. While the others talked she stay silent, listening carefully before letting herself flop down to a relaxed lay. She wasn't totally at ease with these two, they proved to be friendly but things could turn in an instant. Instead she remained alert and tensed just slightly. OOC: I don't know why I bother posting when I'm tired or just waking up... Lol. I don't like how it turned out.

Varadoss chuckled for a moment before responding to the wolf's question. "Well Sanka, in a way yes, but technically no I'm not. Timeless Dragon's are a very rare breed and only 4 of us still exist. That is myself, my mother, father and grandfather. You see we're called the 'Timeless Ones' for the reason that time has no effect on our aging. We are immortal in the sense that we have no definitive age or life expectancy and can live on and on until the end of time. But at the same time we can be killed. So if you go by the definition of 'immortal' as the inability to die, then no. If you go by the definition of 'immortal' as the ability to live forever, then yes. I myself am roughly 36,000 years old. I'm a bit embarrassed to say but I'm unsure of my EXACT age so I just round to the nearest thousand." Varadoss laughed before continuing. "When you have lived for even a few thousand years you have a tendency to lose track after so long and you begin to pay more attention to more important things in life. So what brings you two here if I may ask?" Varadoss was smiling as he talked with the wolves having been given the pleasure of company after so long.

Sanka thought about the dragons answer. It seemed as though his family were the only ones left. It kind of left you wondering what happened to the others....but that didn't concern Sanka so he didn't bother asking.
"Living forever." Sanka said as he sat down, making himself more comfortable. "Some would call that a curse. But i suppose, since you have the option of dying, it's not too bad."
He was thinking about the dakkans he knew, all had gone mad after their transformation, as if something happened to them as they passed through death. He remembered seeing Solaces armour, bent and mangled as blood leaked through every crevice, and yet he rose, like a Phoenix from the ashes.

Vivid remained quietly laying in the cool grass, listening to the other two talk which just seemed to give her more questions toward each of them. Some, she couldn't help but ask when there was a decent enough moment of silence or a pause. "Isn't it hard living for so long to make friends with... 'Lesser' creatures that don't live anywhere near as long?" Vivid couldn't imagine having so many years of life, that others didn't. So many deaths and events, would you remember everything, and everyone? This sort of question she kept to herself, hoping for it to be answered with what she had asked. What Sanka had mentioned about calling it cursed, she agreed to. Even if you could be killed, or choose to kill yourself, to her it wasn't worth everything you'd lose in your life. "And I know you've lived a very, very long time... But isn't it possible there are more of your kind? Well," She blinked blankly at the grass in front of her paws before looking back up to him and continuing. "I guess between your family and you, you've lived forever so to say, it would be hard not knowing about others I guess." Weather her questions were going to be answered or not, was up to Varadoss, she wasn't going to push anything, and continued on after. Even though she answered one of her own questions it seemed. Sanka had seemed to relax more, or at least it looked like he had, and that relaxed her a bit as well. Just because she knew their names didn't mean something couldn't set them off, this she knew well. But she felt safe in their company, neither of them had done anything that hinted to, 'I'm a blood thirsty killer.' "I'm not sure about him," She dipped her maw toward the sitting wolf. "But I've been exploring the place all day, and decided to take a nice break. Company wasn't on my list, but it feels great to have still." Vivid gave a wolfish smile, tail beginning a small sway out behind her form happily.

((OOC: Phew!! This one took a while to type out lol. Sorry if it's Wall-of-Text :sweatdrop: ))
Varadoss looked at Vivid as she asked her question and for a few moments had a look of sadness cross over his face before breathing deeply and sighing. "Yes... it is more difficult than anything anyone could imagine to live for such lengths of time. I've lost count of how many friends I've had through the thousands of years I have been alive that I have seen perish. Many through the natural course of time, others from illnesses and even some being killed. I could honestly say I have experienced more grief in my life so far than many creatures would in a thousand life times combined. I've seen tragic events unfold all over this world and even some of the most senseless violence. Even things I experienced when I was no older than you or Sanka I still remember. Some more clearly than others."
Varadoss paused for a few moments before looking up at the night sky and continuing. "Even with so much sorrow and sadness in this world, I have experienced and equal amount of good and happy times. I remember all the times I've had with my friends while they were still alive. The fun we used to have.... The laughter we shared. I have also been able to see many things in my lifetime that most never will. And yes Sanka most would call living for such time a curse. But in all honesty it is a double edged sword. Indeed it is a curse but it is also a great blessing. Being given the opportunity to truly admire the beauty of this world, uninhibited by the pressure of time, to be given the amount of time needed to study and understand the world better and to see countless occasions of a new life being brought in to this world. In the end.... It's all worth it to me. I see the blessing outweighs the curse."
Varadoss looked back at Vivid now smiling. "And to answer your other question Vivid, I'm afraid there aren't any others of my kind aside from my family. We're all that is left. The Timeless Dragons are such an incredibly rare species of dragon that more savage and bloodthirsty creatures saw my kind as a HIGHLY prized and valued trophy to try and collect. We tried to stay together in one big group to defend ourselves from attacks, but we began to become outnumbered rapidly. In the last confrontation that ended my race save for my family and me, we fled together far away from everything and everyone. It was then we decided to best preserve our race, we would have to split up in the case we would be attacked as a group again and killed at the same time. The Timeless Dragon's genes are very dominant over others so if I could find a suitable mate, then I could eventually help begin the re-population of my race. Such is one of the reasons I roam and search. The other reason is to find anyone who is interested in history or events of the past that they are unsure of the facts from the myths. In any case dying is something I don't plan on doing for a very very long time if I can help it. Sure there will be more sorrow at some point, but all things heal in time. Well if you don't mind I think I'll just eat another one of these deer. All that talking made me a bit hungry again." Varadoss chuckled a moment before moving one of the deer he caught earlier in front of him and biting almost a third of it's body off in one gulp, bones and all.

Sanka considered the mans words. Sanka could care less about having good times with friends, but he imagined the Earth, beautiful mother nature, changing over the course of thousands of years. That lucky dragon was here to witness it all. It was a blessing, an amazing one at that, and it left Sanka wondering. This dragon seemed to come from a point of view far more clear than the dakkans, his purpose was simple, live. But the dakkans, Sanka had yet to find their motive for living, Solace had recently just given up on killing, so that couldn't be their purpose. He cleared his mind for a moment.
Before when Sanka thought about why his species all died out, he assumed it would be some kind of virus or disease, but they were wiped out by other creatures who valued their heads. And Sanka had a few ideas why.
"Varadoss, your blood wouldn't happen to make people immortal as well would it? Or maybe your teeth have healing properties..." he questioned.

Once basically everything she wanted to ask was out, and he began answering, her auds and head lowered. His look of sadness made her want to take it back, but it was much too late. As Varadoss spoke more she listened and thought, how much she'd hate losing close to everyone you've known. That alone would of made her stay in a shell, completely unsocial and alone. To her, she thought she'd be happier that way. The dragon before her however, even after all these years was still friendly and 'alive' so to speak. Clearly, since he was with them right now. And yet somehow, all the pain and loss seemed to have a good side, or so the dragon started on about. True, he got to see everything from.... As much as Vivid wanted to say the beginning of time, she recalled him saying he had a grandparent still alive, so obviously there had to be something before him. But still, the beast in front of her had been around for forever in her eyes, he had gotten to see everything as it happened. Great events and things that had made history to close to every living wolf, not to mention see the now extinct species of things. Her thoughts were cut as he went on, this time about her other question. "Highly prized?" She'd of gone on, but Sanka beat her too it. Just because something lived forever, or close to it, seemed silly to her to kill. Something had to be of value, just as Sanka had said. Just being rare wasn't enough to her, it seemed unreal that anything would make such a thing their game, to hunt and slaughter them all. The femme shifted a bit as she lay comfortably, switching her attention more to the still mysterious wolf not far beside her. Her head turned to see the giant jaws consume half the large deer, eyes widening a bit as she noticed he didn't even spit something like the bones out. Moments like this made her very very happy she hadn't run across an angry, or just mean creature anything like Varadoss's kind, a dragon.

Varadoss had swallowed what food he had in his mouth and answered Sanka's question. "Well my teeth don't have healing properties at all, but my grandfather did mention once that the Timeless ones DO have the ability to gift others with the minor immortality we have..... But we have to WILLINGLY allow another creature to drink a small portion of our blood otherwise it does them no good.." Varadoss paused for a moment then continued. "But as I'm sure you know... everything comes with a price. The fates of the Timeless one who gifted the immortality and the one or even multiple creatures that were granted it become tied. If the dragon dies.... unfortunately no matter where the other creature is at or what it's doing.... they die with them. And the more a Timeless dragon shares his gift with others, when they die and the dragon does not, the tie also works the other way around. It may not KILL the dragon but they are SEVERELY weakened for an extended period of time from it. Roughly 200 years for each bond that is broken from the other creature dying. Which is why it is so dangerous for us to share our gift with many creatures as if we were to be so unfortunate enough so have ALL the creatures die at once..... we would be weakened for well over thousands of years. Why do you ask Sanka?"

DionHis energy was low, he flew too long, that last fight still fresh in his memory, the anger still boiled inside of him. But, a smile spread on his face, he had won, lucky for that wolf, he didn't kill him. Maybe winning, was too much for his ego. What is that smell? He chocked, it was blood, and something else. He had to land, he lowered himself to the ground. His wings, became numb as he lost feeling from them, from the very edge the feathers started floating away till they reached his shoulder blades, disappearing completely. His feathers floated away in the wind, yet, when he needed to fly again, they would be at his call in a second as he jumped into the air. Everything was spinning, he breathed hard, tiredness overwhelmed him, he needed energy, quickly or he is going to starve to death! His eyes scanned the area, someone enjoyed two nice meals here. His stomach growled loudly, he clenched his teeth, but was curious onto what this smell was. He sniffed, there was two more. Drool came out of the side of his mouth, he could probably eat two right now. Embarrassment filled him, drooling! Really? Over a smell, wow man, your lame. He shook his body, concentrating now, his eyes searching the area, field mice, please! Anything I can eat! His eyes came to a tree. He shivered, he had had roots before, nasty, but it was needed, like it is now. He sighed, why... me? He trotted over to the tree, digging. His claws ripping through the ground till he came to the deep roots. He bit down hard on them, pulling back, his muscles ripped underneath his fur, his tail drooped from the disgusting taste of dirt, finally, the roots came free, the force made him flew backwards. He tumbled on the ground with the roots in his mouth. He now forced himself to chew, feeling the energy flow through him, his tail wagged from the pleasure. He looked back at the tree, he would eat some more, even if it wasn't good tasting, it gave him the little energy he needed to hunt. He walked back over to the tree, covered in dirt, not that you could barely tell, other than his bright blue design that was now brownish, and his shining brown fur now dull. He clamped his teeth down on more roots, easier to pull out this time. He did so for a while till he had enough energy for a hunt. Shaking his fur, dust flew everywhere, his blue tattoos now covered. He trotted into the tree line, searching the area. He sniffed taking in every scent, carefully placing his paws, the delicious smell of meat drifted into his nose, he hadn't realized how far he walked. He came to another grassy area, completely disappointed to see two other wolves there, and what was that large creature? He tilted his head, very curious. Was there ever a time where he ignored his curiosity to fight? He chuckled, very lowly, to himself, nope. Ever heard of the saying 'curiosity killed the cat'? Well, I think my life story is going to be 'curiosity killed the Dion'. He grinned, as he stepped forward, still covered in dirt everywhere. He looked like a completely brown wolf, good, maybe they will be less frightened because his strange markings were now covered. His eyes seemed to be focused on the single large creature that was there. What is it? He never seen anything like it in his life, though, he was still considered a pup, he carried himself more as an adult. Suddenly it hit him, the shyness of not knowing anyone. He gulped, pausing. Waiting to see if they noticed him. His ears burned slightly and a knot formed in his chest, maybe he could turn back now? But, he couldn't, curiosity drove him forward, shyness drove him back, so he stayed put, if worse comes to worse, he could jump into the air and fly away, hopefully. (OOC: I thought I might as well join! : D)
