Her pointing to the sky was saw from the corner of his eyes, still looking up to the vast space above them. It was getting dark. How long had they been talking? While she answered and asked him things he lowered his head and looked back to her, fluffing his wings out as he got to his paws and dropped down to stretch out much like a cat would. "Mmm, yes, there should be rabbits around still. I'm not even sure if they hide around here in the cold weather. But you're right, it's getting dark. It would be better getting started soon while there's enough light too see. I'm not blind in the dark though, just not as sharp." He grinned, then smiling to her warmly. A seagull? He had never tried one of them, but after her reaction to it, he figured he wouldn't want to. "My mother was an arctic wolf, so I've been gifted the thick coat that came with it. I'm not sure where my parents were from. They seemed too happy on the shore to of come from anywhere else really. The place I've come from is an island type place, with big trees and plenty of food. I remember looking out over the water as a young pup before I could fly..." He stopped and shook his head, moving closer to her side, since he was still a few jumps from her from earlier. With a dip of his head he gave a playful growl, scenting the air with his maw held high. "Better now then in the dark. Ladies first. Where ever you'd like to hunt, we can. I don't think there's any pack boarders close by. If you'd like after, we can talk more about each other. My stomach's being impatient. Haha." He stood by her side and patiently waited for her move, content with anywhere she picked, as long as it wasn't smack dab in the middle of a packland.

"Hmm, alright then..." She lifted her maw up towards the sky, scenting the air. There were traces of deer and rabbit about, fresh traces at that. She licked her hungry lips and started to walk to the forest, hoping to catch a trail of something as she got closer.
Mu realized it wouldn't matter how dark it was when they hunted: the forest was so thick it would block out any light they had in the first place. She made her way through the forest with Thor at her side, keeping her nose to the ground. They were going to have to come to a clearing at some point, or to a steam. Either one of those places meant food.
Suddenly, something caught her ear. She had a vauge idea of what it was, it was something small, quite a ways away from them. She new Thor couldn't hear it, the sound was too distant for anyone to pick up on except for herself. In fact, she was surprised she heard it as well, it must have been because she was concentrating so hard. She picked her ears up, and kept low to the ground, "Follow me." she thought, heading towards what she had heard.

When she moved he followed closely, but not so much to invade her space, and he kept a bit behind her, his head roughly aligned with her shoulder. His bright silver eyes shifted as he looked for any movement in the forest, auds pivoting while listening for some hint of prey. He gazed over to Mu and noted her perked auds, straining to hear anything and almost whining in frustration as he couldn't. Soon after however her voice entered his head and he nodded, finding it better not to talk. Whatever she was after he hoped it would be worth it, they so far had the upper hand with Mu hearing it from what Thor guessed was quite a ways away. Which made sense since she lacked the ability to speak. Were all her other senses heightened? He fell in closer to her side as he followed after her, uncertain of where they were going, but straining his senses still to find out what it was that she was after. 'I'll have to ask her later how she talks like this... It could come in handy for situations like this if I could reply the same way. If I'd be able to..' OOC: Haha, it's fine. :3 There was still a lot to work with.

"I can't see where this noise is coming from, ug. If I accidently run into it and spook it, we've just lost dinner... Comeon, think!" She chided herself, still moving along the ground on her belly. It wasn't as though it was a deer, which would be easy to spot even in the darkness. But she could tell by now it was larger than a rabbit. She wasn't quite sure what it was.
She looked around the forest for a bit, trying to see if there was anything that would give her a good view of her surroundings. She could only see trees. "Wait, trees... I've got it!" she said, thinking openly, so that Thor could hear her as well, " Thor, do you think we could fly up to one of the tree branches and watch for movement? I can't really tell where this sound is coming from, and I don't want to scare off the prey. I think if we could watch from the trees, we could see it move, then swoop down on it. Does that sound like a plan?" she wagged her tail in anticpation, happy that she could have helped him understand what was going on.

His underbelly was now covered in dry dirt and loose brush, something he'd compolsivly clean later. He wasn't a neat freak, but things dirtying his snow-like pelt bothered him to an extent. Though it didn't bother him right now, food was on his mind. If things went well, he'd have crimson staining his maw anyways, he could clean up later. His thoughs were cut with her explination and plan, head tilting back to look up at the trees above. It did sound like a good plan, and he nodded. Being sure to keep his voice low and quiet while he spoke. "Sure. But what if it sees us first?" That was always a thought, but he shrugged it off. If it did, chances were that it would run away. They could both fly and follow it, chase it down even. His wings fluffed and stroked the air, readying for flight once she was ready to do so. His tail swayed like hers in excitement and anticipation, his ears perked as his weight shifted to his back paws, ready to take flight as he looked for a decent tree to sit on.

"There, that one." she used her head to gesture towards a pine tree a few meters away. It was a rather large one, about 100 years old, she guess, and even it's lower branches could easily hold their weight.
She got a little of a jogging start, and jumped up into the air. She barely had to open her wings, she had jumped so high. Using her long front claws, she gripped onto a lower hanging branch. Mu swang back and forth, gaining speed, and then flipped herself up onto the lower branch.
She climbed out towards the end of the tree, grinding into the tree to make sure she didn't lose her balance as she leaned down to see were Thor was, " Comeon up, I think this is a good place. I wouldn't worry to much about it seeing us, from what I can hear, it's rustling around in the bushes."

He followed her gaze to the tree and nodded, it looked steady enough. As soon as she left to the air, he did as well. His hind legs took all his weight and his front paws lifted from the ground, wings giving a mighty stroke to the air, and with just a few more he was up and following her. She preformed some crazy flip that left him staring at her blankly, silver wings coming back to rest at his side once he had gripped the thick branch beneath him best he could being a wolf. He crouched just to ensure he wasn't going to fall, crawling a bit further up it close to where she was, but far enough he was sure the branch wouldn't give way under them. "Alright," He said under his breath, searching through the forest floor with his metallic hues. OCC: I'm sorry. x-x My nets been down the past few days. :x And this post sucks, but I'm getting ready to leave for school. Lol.

(ooc: sorry for the late response, my computer got a trojan. o__O' so I got to completely reinstall, windows, the drivers, the stero, the printer, the video card, the scanner, ect.)
suddenly, something twitched in Mu's vision, it was a bush, and her ears darted forward, "Do you see that? or is that just my eyes?"
Then, came little crying noises, it was so soft, so quiet. She could barely hear it. It was as though it was walking closer to her, not farther away, she noted, as the sound got louder. "Whatever it is, I don't think it's very dangerous, or smart." She jumped off the tree, making sure her landing was soft, as to not disturb whatever it was.
Mu inched closer and closer, untill she saw it. "Thor, you got to come look at this!" It was a fawn, not more than a few days old, " Where do you think it's mum is? it's awfully late to be alone out here... " she trailed off, thinking...
could she really kill such a little, helpless thing?

OOC: Don't worry about it at all. @-@ I haven't been around in a good week or two, maybe longer. Internet issues and what not. He strained to see the movement she did, and caught the end of a moment made by the bush. 'Made by th bush...? It couldn't just be the bush...' He thought a moment, having it cut off by a slightly eerie cry. It wasn't like a pups, but in a way similar. Although he knew it could be anything, even another wolf playing tricks. Thor's stomach flipped when Mu left the branch, the worst ideas coming to his head as to what it could be, and instantly he glided down to catch up to her. He blinked when she called him over, and tilted his head with interest. As he padded forward a bit he saw the fawn, freezing in his steps. "W-Why... I'm not sure where it's parents are... I can't scent anything but this little guy. Luckily. Something may of gotten it before we did." He had no intentions of harming the young creature, but he definitely didn't know what to do. It couldn't be anything like apup, and even then he wouldn't of known how to react. He sat with a blank expression, looking over the poor thing in front of him. "Well... What do we do with it? I don't feel like trying to talk to every deer I see, asking if it's lost it's baby.. Aha." He gave a slight grin thinking about it, moving toward it to sniff at the fawn. Such a strange day so far.

"What do you mean 'talk to it'? Can you talk to deer?" she said, her mouth agape. If Thor could in fact talk to deer, that would be most impressive.
Mut-iarna had never tried to talk to another animal by thought before, though it was an interesting concept. She had always wondered if all animals thought the same things. The only time she had come close was a time when she accidentally tried to comminicate with a seagull- and needless to say it was rather boring. She cleared her throat, laying down next to the little thing, "I could try talking to it, I've never spoken with another animal before. Could it be possible?" she tilted her head to the side, watching as the little fawn froze, doing the other thing it knew how to do: stay still.
(ooc: not a problem! I got a trojan on my computer a few days ago. o__O it sucked! had to completely reinstall meh crap.)

Thor gave a pout and shook his head, half wishing he actually could talk to other animals. Some birds could talk he knew, but it was an odd way of communication, and things were often hard to understand. Atleast to him. Deer however, he hadn't been able to understand. Not that he had ever tried talking to one. "I don't think so. I've never tried though. But I don't understand their language, so I don't think it would be possible." He was quite surprised she got so close to the fawn, but then again it looked like it was petrified. Full grown deer even froze up the odd time, so he figured that was what happened with the little one infront of him. For now his hunger was over taken by curiousity and wonder, giving the fawn an affectionate lick on it's side after moving closer to see if it would respond.

Mu chuckled a little, watching as Thor licked the fawn. It did nothing except let out a high pitched bleat, same it had been doing. She spoke to him "Oh, so you can't talk to him... Well, then what should we do? I imagine if we stayed with him and the mother was to return she'd be quite upset. And I don't think I'd have the heart to kill a doe knowing she had such a young fawn with her."
She rested, closing her eyes for a second. Her family generally abstained from deer this time of year, for this reason. If they killed a doe or fawn, it would eventually mean less food in the long run.
She let out a sigh, her stomach rubbling a little. She was hungry, but she did not think she was hungry enough to eat this poor thing. suddenly, an idea popped into her head.
She took a testing step, walking slowly as she watched behind her. To her amusement, and surprise, the little deer followed behind her, bleating again. "Thor," she said, "What if the little deer followed us while we were hunting? we could eat, then bring him back here later to see if his mum is looking for him." she trailed off, that still didn't solve the problem though, if the mum wasn't around.

His ears flopped as he tilted his head to the sound the fawn was making, trying to understand it without any luck. Mu's voice entered his head again, his attention shifting over to her. "Ahah, no, I can't. And I'm not sure what we should do. I imagine if I was a doe, I'd be quite upset that wolves were taking care of my baby. I wouldn't want to have to kill either of them." His thoughts ran around his head trying to think of something to do, and hoping no one else decided to come along and pick up an easy meal. There seemed to be no solution, until he watched in shock as the fawn followed after Mu. "That doesn't sound half bad. Except what if he gets scared and runs? Or can't keep up. If we went after fast game, you'd have to stay with him. I don't think he'd be able to keep up, he's too young. And there's always the chance that his mother is already dead too..." He trailed off like she did and sighed heavily. What would they do with it? If it kept making sounds it would ruin their hunting, or attract some other killer, something worse then a wolf even. It didn't seem possible to him, but he waited for her responce. If she thought they could do it, he'd try. There wasn't any harm in it, and if they got too hungry, there was a stream for too far they could fish at. But again, traveling with the fawn would be hard.

Mu's ears perked up as she heard Thor speak. " Well, then we don't have to go after fast game, do we? I presume there's a stream nearby somewhere; how else could there be so many trees without a source of fresh water?" she emplied fishing for food. Not that she was very good at it, but fish would suit her just fine. It was better than eating some sort of gamey fowl or turkey. And as Thor had mentioned, hunting faster game, such as a deer, would be impossible with the little fawn following. She tilted her head to the side, " And there aren't other wolves around these parts, are there?" she thought for a moment, wanting to make sure they weren't on another pack's lands. That would make for some awful trouble, especially if they had caught wind of the deer. " And what if you are right about the doe? and she's dead? Then what could have killed her but left the fawn?" ooc: Sorry this took a while, been busy.

He thought about the area and where a stream would be, though found it hard since he hadn't been around here much. Mu herself did come from over the ocean though, but did she like salt water fish? He himself preferred fresh water fish, but fish was fish, and to Thor it was one of the best meals. "Well, I'm not sure where exactly a nice stream is, but there's the ocean you came from if we can't find a stream. I think he'd enjoy a drink, too." He looked over to the little fawn in thought still, trying to think of something to do. Mu mentioned other wolves, and he wasn't sure if there were any. He came by choice, so surely others would too. Right? He sighed to himself as his thoughts looped, giving a shrug to Mu. "Other wolves could very well come, and I'm guessing we're lucky we haven't come across another one. This fawn is enough, ahah. As for what could of killed it's mother, and not him if she is indeed dead... I have no idea, but I'm sure it's possible. Lets hope for the best, and that she'll come back. Maybe they just got separated." He hoped they did, or else he'd be living life around the fawn he figured, if he chose to stay with Mu. Which he did, so the fawn was definitely part of life. Meaning settling down for a while. If the doe didn't show, and Mu decided to mother it, they wouldn't be able to travel. Well, they could he was sure, but it would be risking the life of the fawn, something he'd rather not do. Whatever the outcome, he smiled to himself, enjoying it as it came. OOC: Don't worry about it~ ;D
