When Brooke finished congratulating the young wolf, she noticed Aurek wasn't next to her. Her heart dropped, where did he go? Did he leave me alone again. She couldn't bare the treacherous thoughts anymore. So she pushed them aside and left the den looking for Aurek. To her surprise, she found him crowded by a couple of wolves. She guessed they wanted to catch up with each other. So she walked past them, sitting by her friend, Haruka, before the ceremony started. The ceremony was always led by the healer of the pack, in this case it was Galen. He was still somewhat young, but he got the job done efficiently and effectively. All the wolves gathered around the young healer. He waved is tail, signaling for everybod to be quiet. She sat and watched as the ceremony began. Oops, I forgot to tell him all the details. She sat, staring into space. She wanted to go over to him and tell him about it, but she thought it might be rude. Plus, Shayle or Baeh might have already gave him all the details.
She sat and watched as her friend approached the healer. She felt a little dizzy. Man, I should of rested after I used my magic. She was used to getting a little dizzy after using her magic, but she felt worse than she usually did. Her front paws began to shake. So she lied down to prevent anyone from noticing. Haruka looked over to her with a weird look. "Are you alright?" She asked in a whisper. Brooke didn't know what her voice would sound like, so she just nodded her head. Haruka would surely not believe her if her voice was shaky. Brooke waited patiently on the ground, waiting for the ordeal to be over.

Aurek glanced up as the focus turned toward Galen and the ceremony began. Aurek had never actually attended one of these ceremonies before, being as he had spent most of his life traveling and only stopped by a couple of times, but he listened silently as Shayle told him of the details and Aurek also observed. He glanced around, after a moment spying Brooke. He smiled, trying to get her attention but she seemed preoccupied.
He glanced toward Galen again, and then back at Brooke, furrowing his brows. Something was definitely wrong. He could tell. Besides, he became more sure of it when she laid down. She was hiding something. He glanced toward Galen once more, waiting a moment and then began shrinking backward. Shayle glanced at him, and he gestured, the older wolf nodding briefly. Aurek soon was moving through the shadows of the firelight, trying to be inconspicuous, which was easy for him. Besides, he didn't need to use his element in this case.
Soon, he was by Brooke's side and he knelt so that he was close to her. "Brooke, what's wrong?" he whispered in her ear. He didn't think she wanted to miss the ceremony being as it was her friend and all, but in this state, he had a feeling she wasn't really aware of what was going on with everyone else anyway. He wasn't sure if maybe a healer, time, or water would make her feel better. Or maybe a mixture of the three? In any case, he waited for her response, not wanting to act without her permission.

Brooke gave a startled jump as she heard Aureks' voice close to her ear. She hadn't realized she had dozed off. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes, then tried, unstably to sit up. She stumbled a few times before she regained her balance. She faked a smile and asured him everything was alright. She thought she saw uncertainty in his eyes, like he didn't believe her, but she wasn't positive. She sighed as her legs began to shake again. Lying down she looked back Aurek. "I just used to much of my magic. It normally doesn't affect me as much, though. I just don't get it."
As the ceremony came to an end, the wolves began to attend to their duties. Brooke watched as they walked past her, giving her odd looks. She looked down at her paws, avoiding the curious stares. She yelped and jumped up as a wolf stepped on her tail as they walked by. She turned around to see a big, muscular wolf. His lips formed a grim smile like he meant to step on Brooke's tail. "Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't see your tail there." He waited a moment then added, "Honey." Dyran has always been a rude, obnoxious wolf but he didn't seem to be aiming his anger at Brooke but at Aurek. He glowered at Aureks' Golden eyes. Waiting for his reaction. You could see in his own eyes that he wanted to start a fight with the wolf.

A small frown began forming on Aurek's lips when Brooke forced herself to sit up and tried to assure him she was alright. Clearly, she wasn't. At last, she gave in, lying back down and admitting she wasn't feeling so well. After her explanation, he pondered a moment, about to say something when she yelped and jumped. Aurek turned to the voice also, rolling his eyes when he saw who it was. "Oh, look, the big bad Dyran coming to pick on somebody else to make his itty bitty heart feel better." His tone was mocking, and his golden eyes glimmered, partially with annoyance and partially with mischief. He wasn't going to cater to this wolf's desires.
"Awe, what? Can't find enough attention from mommy and daddy?" He stepped forward, trying to stand between Brooke and Dyran, a protective stance on his part, and attempting to shove his paw away from Brooke's tail. "Run along now, little pup. A big scary monster might come and do something awful."
Aurek could only imagine the heat rising up in Dyran's temperament, but he wasn't about to let someone step on his friend, especially while she was down, and think they could get away with it. It didn't mean he'd fight necessarily, and if he did, he was bent on proving he was the one in control.

Aurek quickly took a protective stance next to Brooke, trying to stand between her and Dyran. Quickly Aurek began to bark at Dyran, obviously her was quite annoyed. Dyran narrowed his eyes, seeing the annoyance in Aureks' eyes. Surely this is what he wanted.
"Well if it isn't little Aurek. Back so soon after tearing apart this little Angels' heart. How could you do such a thing?" He padded next to Brooke, who winced as he gave her a lick on the cheek. He knew how Brooke felt about him, but he wanted to know if Aurek felt the same way. His lips formed a big, mischievous grin. He played in his mind what he hoped Aureks' actions would be. In his messed up mind, Aurek would feel the same way. Not wanting to share her with anyone else. Wanting to fight til death to keep her. Dyran turned back to Aurek, his grin still lurking on his face. His grin got bigger as he came up with a fun game for him and Aurek to play. Well fun for him at least. He lowered his head, inches from the ground. Within a second, he began snapping at Aureks' legs. If he was going to fight, he needed a head start.

Dyran was just as quick with his responses, being just as sarcastic and mean with his words, though he took it much farther than Aurek would. Aurek knew how to talk all bad, but he wasn't a bully. When it came down to it, Aurek was definitely more of the "lady's wolf" than some big tough show off jerk. He took note when Dyran licked at Brooke, and he didn't fail to notice Brooke's reaction either. He frowned, even scowled.
His ears twitched at Dyran's words. He knew what they meant.. although he was a bit surprised. Broke her heart? Had he? Really? He had had no clue about it. Aurek was somewhat unaware of how Brooke felt since she hadn't specifically announced her feelings to him. And the fact of the matter was, he wasn't sure how he felt about her exactly since they had spent so much time apart. He thought of her fondly as a childhood friend, and cared for her, but to say it was love... that would simply take time. Time which he hadn't yet spent.
In any case, it was obvious Brooke didn't want this guy around, and Aurek wasn't about to sit by while a dear friend of his was in torment and do nothing. Aurek went from his mocking to seriousness. He suspected from the look in Dyran's eyes that he was looking for a fight, and wasn't ready to cater to it quite yet. Afterall, this was nothing like the fights between himself and Endymion. Although in the long run, perhaps it was still a quest for dominance... a common male thing. "You really should get the hell away, pup."
But instead, Dyran began snapping at his feet. In an instant, his skills in agility came to the surface and he leaped out of the way, avoiding the other's jaws and the damage they could cause. He could feel the adrenaline rising. He wanted to take this immature jerk on. But there was a more important matter on his mind. He hadn't forgotten Brooke wasn't feeling well, and he felt he needed to care for her. It was a debate in his mind. He had never been one to back down from a fight; if anything, he'd take this guy on for Brooke's sake. But he wondered if it would be better to do it later? And then the more pressing question... he doubted Dyran would simply allow them to ignore him and leave. But he would at least try.
He shifted, keeping an eye on Dyran though got close to try and talk only to Brooke. "C'mon... we don't have to deal with this idiot. Let's get you somewhere to rest." He would then try and stand beside her, blocking her from Dyran and trying to lead her toward the dens. Who knew what Dyran's next move would be...

Brooke could see in Aurek's eyes that he didn't know how she had thought about him all this time. And maybe, he didn't feel the same way. Brooke shook the thought out of her head as he turned to her. He offered to take her to a den to get her strength back. But honestly, she didn't know how Dyran would act. He always had an eye for her, obviously wanting her for his own evil plans for who knows what. She began to sit up, as slowly as she could, to ensure she gets up successfully. She could feel Dyran's stare piercing her. He had eyes like a dagger. And if he wanted to let you know he was watching you, oh man could he. Once she was sitting on her hind quarters, she was sure she could get all the way up.
On her feet, and somewhat steady, Brooke was prepared for Dyran whatever is jacked up mind had thought up. He began to walk towards Brooke, each step soft, yet powerful and proud. He couldn't get very close to her because of Aurek, who was standing between the two. "And where do you think your going, little princess?" His eyes flickered between Brooke and Aurek. His eyes were intense. She had seen him like this before, but when? It had been so long ago, not too long after Aurek had disappeared. Oh no. It suddenly came to her. When he was hunting. Before she could say anything, he lunged. Right for Aurek's neck. "Noooo." Suddenly all the attention was drawn to them by her scream.

Aurek was tense, bad feelings crawling up his spine about this whole situation. Perhaps he had chosen the wrong way to handle it, although he was glad that he was managing to be between this guy and Brooke. As she tried to get herself up, he wanted terribly to carry her himself. But then Dyran was moving toward them, in their way. Keh! Instinct took over. He knew that look in his eyes from another male. Indeed, his experiences away had taught him much. As if it would be that easy. He lowered his head, his entire body taking on preparation for battle. So be it. Bring it on!
He wouldn't use his magic quite yet... not unless he had to. For now, it would be an all out brawl, a test of strength. Perhaps a battle of the fittest as some might call it. He bared his fangs, and lunged toward Dynan in turn, swiping his claws in hope of scratching the other's cheek as he was going for his neck. Whether he hit or missed, he would then leap away and lunge again, this time, hoping to meet him in an unbreakable collide, snapping at his fur and swiping his claws.

Brooke was still in shock from Dyran's attack. She knew him well, but she had no clue his heart was this crude. Aurek quickly moved out of the way of the jaws snapping at him. He looked like he had been fighting his whole life. In the blink of an eye Dyran's cheek began to bleed. Dyran was not pleased that he could even be a little better than him. Aurek quickly lunged again, not giving Dyran anytime to think his next move. This time Dyran wouldn't let Aurek out of his sight. He lunged at Aurek's neck, missing by just a few centimeters.
Brook watched in horror as the two brawled. She had watched some of the fighters practicing, but never seen a real fight between two wolves that wanted to kill each other. At least one of them wanted to kill the other. She wished this whole ordeal would of never happened.
While the two brawled the night away, she thought of ideas to get them to stop, but she didn't know what the outcome for her would be. Her first plan was to draw water from the humid air and splash it on the two. Her second idea was to jump between them. Either of them could be bad. She could become weaker by using more magic, and she could die if she got between the two if they didn't notice her. She watched them more closely, deciding which move would work.

Aurek winced as he felt Dynan's teeth in the fur of his leg, close to his shoulder, but was soon away, lunging for another attack. His only goal was to stop Dynan before anything bad happened. Put him in his place perhaps. He was all too familiar with battles, and he knew in some cases, he had escaped with his life only because his opponent had chosen not to kill him. Though that had only been when battling Endymion... but he couldn't think of those things now. His mind and body were totally focused. One wrong move could cost him.
He backed out and lunged several times, locking in collide with a flurry of snapping jaws and flying claws, and then he attempted to push Dynan to the ground. If he were successful, they might roll from the momentum, or perhaps he might simply end up on top of the other, fangs bared and claws on his chest. If he were not successful, he would continue to fight, instincts telling him what to do. The adrenaline kept him going. He would continue attempting to push Dynan to the ground until he reached his goal.
OoC: Ack I edited over this and almost lost it DX Fortunately I clicked back on IE and got it back ^-^;;

Dyran's eyes were clouded with hate and a fiery desire to kill. She knew if she used her powers, it wouldn't have an effect on him. He was too angry. But, if she were to jump in between the two, who knows what the outcome would be. Brooke could only think of the worse. She imagined that he wouldn't be able to sense the difference between her and Aurek. He was trying to find a scruff of fur to sink his teeth into for pleasure. She thought of running off to find one of the fighters, they had also been trained to break up battles. Or, she might even look for an omega. She had many choices to pick, but none of them were strong enough.
She tried to think of the worst thing that would happen if she appeared between the two brawling. She knew Aurek would stop, but Dyran. He surely wouldn't notice her. He would most likely kill her. Brooke cringed, she couldn't even begin to picture what would happen to her. Her eyes rested upon Aurek, his powers! "Aurek!" She called, hoping to catch his attention just long enough, but not for too long to get him hurt. "Use your powers." She hoped that he had gotten the message. Why didn't either of us think of this earlier. She hoped that if he had heard her, that he was in control of his powers. She didn't know if he could teleport where he wanted to. She didn't want to lose him to a place unfamilure to the both of them. But that was okay as long as he would be safe. She would cross the ends of the world to make sure she didn't lose him. Again.

He continued to fight, realizing the bloodlust he saw in his opponent's eyes. Well, this guy obviously had something against him. Who knew what it was. Perhaps it was some sort of vengence for Brooke. He realized he might be jealous that Brooke's heart longed for him when he had left so long ago. Perhaps Dynan had tried to convince Brooke to forget about Aurek and turn to Dynan instead. But Brooke could not be swayed, and thus Dynan blamed and hated Aurek for it. Or perhaps, Dynan simply wanted a fight.
He wasn't sure, exactly, but he knew the strength behind the will for vengence. Oh yes, he was quite familiar with it... if that was the case anyway. And if that was the case, then this was a fight over Brooke. Which in that case, this was both stupid and unneccessary. Brooke was a grown wolf. She could make her own decisions. And even if Dynan won, he hardly thought she would pick him for that fact. Even so, he didn't know Dynan's true thoughts, and he definitely wasn't about to back out of a fight for no good reason. He inwardly laughed as he thought about all the times Endymion had left him, angry, telling him he wasn't worth his effort. That he had given him a bit of entertainment for the time and that was all. Well, what would be the look on Dynan's face if he repeated the same words now?
Suddenly, Brooke's voice reached his ears. She was telling him to use his powers. Well, he had deliberately not used them up to this point, wanting to show Dynan based on his own physical strength that he was lesser. But then, Brooke just provided him with the perfect opportunity to use what had already been just passing in his mind.
He leaped away from Dynan, a glimmer growing in his golden eyes. He made his way toward Brooke, seizing the opportunity while there was still a gap between him and Dynan. A smirk formed on his lips. Dynan didn't know his power. Surely. He wasn't sure how Brooke knew, since he didn't even discover it until the first time he vanished as a pup, but he could get to that later. "Well, pup. I have to say it was fun. But the time for games is over." He dipped his head mockingly. "Train some more, and challenge me again sometime when you're worthy. Though I don't think you'll ever be capable of my defeat." He chuckled when he said these words, and then he turned to Brooke, whispering in her ear.
"Brooke... when I vanish, there will be a brief build-up of energy in the spot where I was. You can leap into that point and come with me. When you do, the build-up will vanish since you used it, and we will be away."
He hoped she understood. And with that, he was gone, no trace of him remaining. Brooke would not be able to see the build-up except for a small spark floating next to her. If she moved at all into the place where he had stood, surely she would come into contact with that spark and vanish also.
If and when she did, she would find herself in a large cavern, the walls glistening with moisture and various beds of moss on the floor and in crevices in the rock. Toward the back seemed to lead deeper, the walls gaining a faint glimmer as if decorated with gems. But she would have to inspect closer to know for sure. In any case, Aurek would also be lying before her, unconscious.

Brooke was shocked as Aurek casually walked towards her, away from Dyran. He was smirking, which was quite odd since he was just fighting with another wolf. He spit an insult at Dyran, who sill hadn't noticed Aurek's absence. He looked towards Aurek's voice, to only find a spark hovering in the air next to Brooke. He was confused, not noticing the spark was from teleporting. Brooke smiled at Dyran's confused face before following Aurek into the spark.
The cave was large, much bigger than she was used to. She began to walk further into the cave, her paws stepping in piles of moss scattered across the floor. Was it a den, did wolves sleep here? Or maybe something. The scents were masked by the humid air. The gems that decorated the walls glistened as drops of water dripped of of them. She turned in the direction of a wall, stopping to get her paw out of a tangle of moss. She began to lick the walls for the drops of water. The rough surface was hard on her tongue, much like sandpaper. The water started to slowly make her stronger, replacing the water she had used earlier.
The deeper she traveled into the cave, the darker it got. Once her eyes adjusted she could make out a shape o the ground. She stopped and waited to see what it would do. If it was a preditor, she was vulnerable in its territory despite the large supply of water. She began to approach the figure, as she drew near, she recognized the shape of a wolf. She stopped as she realized who it was. Aurek.
She bent down and nudged him with her nose. He didn't move, and showed no signs of moving anytime soon. She gave out a soft whine. She began to lay next to him, just to make sure he was okay, but noticed how cold his limp body was. He was much bigger than her, so she couldn't curl around him. She decided it would be best to lay on top of him without putting all her weight on him. As he began to get warmer, she noticed herself fighting sleep, then gave up.

OoC: Lol he's just passed out xD So he'd still be warm ^^iC:
Hours passed and Aurek stirred, vaguely aware of his surroundings. His mind was slightly in a daze, piecing together recent events. It wasn't the first time he had woken up unsure of where he was, so that didn't come as a shock to him at all. He knew from past experience, that once his mind refocused, his location would become clear to him.
He realized there was something laying on top of him. His first instinct was to scramble away, but when he looked he recognized her face. He smiled to himself, glad she had understood and followed him. Afterward, he sniffed the air and began focusing on his surroundings. Oh yes! Now he remembered. He had come here a long while ago to spend time alone and sort things through in his mind. When he was much younger. Such a place was the first thing that popped in his mind to get away from Dynan. He knew here he and Brooke would be left in peace. Well, as long as they stayed anyway.
He didn't move, hoping Brooke would sleep a bit longer. She had already been not feeling well, and he was sure rest was what she needed. How much time had passed, he wondered? Well, the only way to know for sure would be to go outside. That would just have to wait, he supposed, along with satisfying his hunger. He laid his head down once more, letting himself relax. He glanced at Brooke now and then, partially to see if she was awake and partially to make sure she was okay.
When she woke up he would greet her warmly. "Feeling better?"

Brooke felt Aurek stir under her, but she couldn't seem to move. She was in a dream. The forest was dark without the moon. Her legs carried her along the cold, damp leaves that rested on the ground. She heard a stick break beneath her paw, and slowly lifted it up. She could smell the blood she lifted her paw up. It was smeared all over the pads and in between her toes. She didn't think it was from her, so she turned around to see paw prints of blood following behind her. She lifted her other paw, and had the same result. But how could the blood be from me? She was confused. Her stomach began to ache and twist. She began to cough. Harder and harder with each exhale. Finally, she looked at the ground to see a puddle of blood.
Her eyes widened as she screamed inside the cave. She jumped up, not remembering where she was. Or even who she was. She backed up against the cave's wall, her screams echoing off each side.
