OoC: Whoops.. sorry DX I thought she had gotten herself out already...
iC:
When she replied she was stuck, he quickly turned his attention from the scenery and toward her. Unfortunately, he didn't have any ability to control plants, but he did have some other strengths. He snapped at the bush, and reached with his forelegs to pry the branches apart. "Keep trying to get free," he said as he kept tearing at the bush. He would pull on her, but he didn't want her to be hurt in the process. Hopefully, she would soon be loose and able to freely observe every part of her surroundings...

Brooke followed his command and continued to wriggle. She could feel the bushes beneath her get thinner and thinner, and before she knew it, she was free. She rolled into Aurek, landing on top of him. Laughing, she got off of him and shook the twigs and leaves out of her pelt. She looked back at the bush, which was now squished to the ground. She noticed on the ground and in the dirt, red smeared all over. "Please don't tell me that's blood." She bent down to smell it. It didn't smell like blood, but rather a fruity smell. She licked up a spot from a pile of leaves. "It tastes... fruity." She licked her lips and turned to Aurek. "What are these? They taste so good."

Aurek was glad when she was free, though when she pointed out the liquid, he glanced to where she was indicating. She licked at it, and then asked. He smiled, shaking his head about the blood idea. "Berries," he said "There are all different kinds. These, I believe, are called raspberries..." he paused, stepping back slightly and glancing around. He saw that some other similar bushes were around the area and pointed them out to Brooke. "Try not to get stuck and trample the other bushes," he teased. He then moved down to the edge of the lake, dipping his head to lap at the water. "So, what do you think?" he asked, gestering to the scenery.

Brooke looked up Aurek when he explained the fruit that grew on the bushes. She licked her lips and tried to get the berry stains off her muzzle but they had stained onto her fur. She followed Aurek over to the lake and used it to wipe off her muzzle. As the water lifted into the air, she moved it around her muzzle to make sure she didn't leave any stains behind. As Aurek bent down to drink the water, an idea formed in her head. She moved the water carefully, and sneakily over his head before letting go of her control over it. The water splashed over his head, leaving his head soaking wet. "That's what you get for teasing me," she teased playfully.

He was not paying attention and when the water suddenly splashed over his head he jumped, leaping away from Brooke instinctively and falling into the lake's waters. For a brief moment, his eyes had flashed fear before fading, returning to normal. Once he recognized himself, he swam easily to the edge. "Oh, really?" he said back, and then attempted to grab her with his mouth and pull her in also. If he were successful, he would leap out, shaking out his fur. "There, now you're all clean," and would grin, stepping away from the edge. If he were not successful, he would leap out further and shake out his fur, attempting to spatter her with droplets. "I suppose I owe you now for paying me back..."

Brooke was lying on the ground, laughing when Aurek emerged from the lake, sopping wet and startled. She didn't expect him to jump back in fright when he was splashed him. But it nonetheless amused her greatly. Not paying attention, Aurek grabbed her leg between his jaws, just hard enough to pull her into the lake with him. With a splash, she landed in the lake. It to surprised her, but she calmed after she realized she was surrounded by water. She followed him out of the lake and shook the water off her pelt. "And so are you," she teased back.
The rustling of bushes made her ears perk up. Her head raised in the direction of the sound. The other side of the lake. She turned her whole body around towards the lake to identify the creator of the sound. With a cloud blocking the moon, she could only make out a figure and a pair of eyes. She inched toward Aurek. "Do you see that?" She whispered, hoping the figure couldn't hear her or get scarred off. Frozen, she stared back at the glowing red eyes.

Aurek grinned, nodding in agreement. Indeed, he was, he supposed. But their laughter was over as soon as Brooke jumped, startled by something across the lake. He looked, seeing what it was she was so nervous about and shrugged. "It's probably just a muskrat... or maybe another type of small animal. I wouldn't worry about it. Besides, it's on the other side of the lake. By the time it could get here, we would be long gone." He paused, "or maybe even hiding to attack and eat it," he wagged his tail and chuckled.
"Come on, speaking of eating I'm a bit hungry. We should hunt..." he said, making his way into the tree-line. There were some deer around the area he knew of as well as birds and rodents. The game would not be difficult to find. He waited for her consent though...

Brooke wasn't sure if the glowing eyes were mere muskrats, but she nodded to Aurek anyways. She turned back to where she had seen the eyes, but the black forest across the lake was bare. "your probably right," she said, quietly chuckling. Brooke followed Aurek back to the tree-line where they had come. She was still on edge, but nodded as Aurek waited for her reply. She made her way past the crumpled bush she destroyed and waited for Aurek to lead her someplace.
She could smell deer from every direction. Along with mice, rabbits, and a few other animals she couldn't name. She hadn't realized how hungry she was until the smell of prey filled her nostrils. She felt so hungry she could eat a whole buck!

He smiled at her and then lowered his head, making his way through the brush, his senses becoming alert and aware. All of his hunting instincts came into play and it wasn't long before an old buck feasting on some plant came into view. It would not be difficult since they were surrounded by foliage and he was sure if he took one side, with Brooke's help they could take her down no problem. He glanced at her, giving a slight nod and then crept around. The old buck looked up, continuing to chew and looked around before going back to his meal. This was their chance.
Aurek sprung out easily, the buck looking frightened and turning to run. Perhaps it might come face to face with Brooke coming the other direction. In its panic, Aurek would seize the opportunity, his jaws seeking its throat, unless Brooke had already done so, in which case he would snap and push at the animal until it fell to the ground lifeless. Afterward, he would grin at Brooke and wag his tail. "Dinner is served," he would say with a chuckle, gesturing she could have the first bite if she wished. Then he would dig in himself.
After he was done, he would raise his head, licking his mouth to clean himself. Their prey would be pretty much devoured. He certainly had been hungry. "Hmm... what do you usually do after a good meal?" he asked her.

Brooke followed Aurek's lead. She krept around the other side of the buck, careful to make no noise. Aurek lunged at the buck, and it turned towards her. All instincts came to her. She moved out of its way before jumping onto its back. The warm blood from its neck seeped into her jaws. She clamped her jaws tight until it fell to the ground. She panted heavily and looked to Aurek who motioned for her to take the first bite. She waited a second to catch her breath before tearing the meat from the shoulder.
When she finished, she licked her lips and stretched. She turned to Aurek when he spoke. "Well, I do live a good nap. But I think I should get washed up first." She lifted up her front paws, showing him the dried blood from the buck. "Would you like to join, I think I can hear a river not to far from here."

OoC: Haha I thought you'd forgotten about this one XD
iC:
She was a great huntress, keen and powerful. In no time, the deer was down and it was becoming their meal. He found something else to admire about her. Was he making a list now? He listened as she explained her answer to his question and smiled. A nap sounded nice.. except that they had recently woken from one. Although that had been a little different considering it was from them teleporting together. She suggested washing up. He glanced back.. he hadn't realized they had gone that far from the lake. He supposed all his energy had been focused on the hunt, after all.
He nodded, "Sure, lead the way."
As they would make their way through the forest once more, this time toward the flowing waters, he wondered what was going through her mind. He glanced at her briefly, eyes going over her form. She was a pretty thing. But he forced himself to look forward. No, he wouldn't think about her like that. Not right now. He couldn't get carried away. "So, how are you enjoying my hideaway so far?"

Lol I know. Sorry for the wait As soon as Aurek agreed to washing up, she worked her magic. Her eyes began to glow blue, much like the river they would soon come across. Within a few seconds, her eyes went back to normal. The river was over a small hill then just past a field with golden grass. "Okay." Brooke began to lead the way up the hill. Stopping a moment so they could walk together. As she waited, she noticed that Aurek's attention was all on her, but he quickly looked forward. Did he feel something for her? Was it what she felt for him? Or was it simply a friendly glance.
Before she knew it, they had reached the field. It was beautiful. The way the long grass flowed in the wind, creating waves like the ocean. She stood for a moment, watching the waves of grass. As she began into the grass, Aurek asked her about their journey so far. "Well, it's the most exciting thing that's ever happened to me. The only thing I could have gone without is Gaugeh, which I think both of us could agree on." Although the thought of meeting up with him again scared her to death, she was glad that Aurek was there with her. When she was with him, she felt more courageous than she had ever felt. "Well, the stream is just past this field. Shall we go now?"[/size]

He stopped when she did, gazing at the field. A smile came to his lips and he glanced her way once more, wanting to see the reaction in her face. They then were walking through the grasses and she was giving him an answer to his question. He let out a chuckle as she said she could have gone without Gaugeh. "Yea, he was sure a creep. I suppose I'll have to deal with that for future pretty wolfesses I bring here," he teased, attempting to give her a playful nudge. He shook his head slightly to himself.
"I must admit it did give us a bit of a venture. But he did ruin the whole, 'This place is safe,' aspect. Still, it really is a safe haven. He really couldn't hurt us outside of the illusions he may have created." He briefly remembered the words Gaugeh had spoken, trying to squeeze fear out of them, trying to ruin what trust he and Brooke did have. Well, yes, he did agree that they both could have done without the creature. He still hadn't told Brooke exactly what the memory was which he had used to confuse and terrify her. He glanced at her again, wondering if she was curious or not.
She was indicating they should be moving toward the stream. Yes. That was a good idea and he nodded. "Sure." With that they would be on their way past the field.

Brooke padded through the grass with Aurek. He chuckled a little before agreeing with her, then playfully nudged her. She nudged back before bounding off through the grass. It was large enough for the two wolves to get lost, but she knew she wouldn't. But what about Aurek. It was stupid of her to assume that he could find his way through there. She had the river as guidance, and what did he have? Now worried, she made her way to the river. She didn't see him, nor did she see any signs of him. Behind her she heard rustling. The grass was moving, but just barely. The wind was blowing towards her, and it brought the scent of a rabbit. So she assumed that's what it was and continued looking for Aurek.
Maybe, she thought, if I jump above the grass, I will see him moving through it. She began jumping up and down. Trying to catch any movement in the grass. She didn't see anything. The wind wasn't even blowing anymore. She stopped jumping and sat on the ground next to the river, and hoped that Aurek would find her before something found him.

Aurek watched as she bounded off in the grass and chuckled to himself, shaking his head. She was so lively and innocent. He liked that about her. And he hoped she always would be that way. He continued making his way, knowing it quite well. After all, he had spent significant time in this area in general. He was well trained in his senses also. Finally, he reached the stream they had been heading to. Finding that she wasn't there, unknown to him that she was searching for him in the grasses, a mischievous thought came to his mind. He sneaked behind a bush, crouching down and waiting.
Finally, she reemerged, sitting by the water. He grinned. Now was his chance! He slowly moved toward her from behind, and finally pounced! He hoped to tackle her and such. But who knew what might actually happen....
