Graal caught the unsteady look in Thunder's eyes, her uncertain stance, a weak stance, almost as if the wind could blow her over.
"Oh Thunder..." he thinks, heart aching in sympathy.
"Ash Drappa..." he starts, hesitant on how to approach her, "Perhaps we should leave Midnight and Ainoko for a while, I'm sure they'll be fine, and you look like you could do with five minutes to rest, I'll stand guard, if you'd like." he suggests, smiling at Midnight and Ainoko, and then nods to Frozen solemnly and the smile drops from his face.
"Frozen, don't worry, females are a difficult species to understand," he smiles, looking indulgently at Thunder, "but you are in no way, less of a Dragga for losing, consider this part of a learning curve in life, you know better now, so take this experience of pain and grow stronger for it. Trust me, Dragga, I feel for you."

Ainoko stopped mid-step as Midnight landed in front of him, smiling, telling him he had spoken what she had wanted to hear. Oh, okay. So she was looking for someone who would show a gentleman's qualities? At this point, he was a little upset... perhaps not so much confused... although, a little uncertain. He had been the one chosen. He couldn't help the underlying feelings of happiness. But there were several other emotions going on inside him. He stared at her a moment and finally released a sigh, turning his gaze from her slightly.
"I'm glad, Midnight," he said. Then, after a pause, he met her gaze squarely, "But I need you to take some time and think on your own and decide what it is you're really looking for. What do you really want? Because this decision you're making. If it's to be mates... it's a permanent one. You can't find some other wolf later in the future that you find more attractive or better for you. I want you to choose me. I want you to be with me. But I need to know that that will be your one and only decision. Until then, I need some time too..." he paused again, glancing up at Frozen. "Forgive me..." he told her and he took off at a run, the thud of his paws against the earth filling his ears. |

((That's ok! I'm just glad to have you back!  )) iC: Midnight was about to respond, and had actually drawn the breath to do so when he said he needed time and took off. She froze, rigid, and looked at tue spot were he disappeared. She relaxed after a moment and stood up. She looked at Graal and said, "Thank you." She looked back at the spot Ainoko disappeared and set off at an easy lope. Midnight stayed well enough behind him; she was no fool, she knew he needed time for whatever it was, so she wasn't going to catch up with him and ask him 'what's wrong'. If he stopped, she would, too, keeping the same distance between them at all times. If he needed her again, he would know that she was there. He would cone to her, Midnight thought. So she waited. |

((So I was thinking that in this case, Ainoko and possibly Midnight have left the thread? So in the case that Midnight and Ainoko finish at a later time I think a new thread would be in order?))

Frozen frowned and shook his head. He did not want Graal's sympathies. He didn't want anyone's sympathies. Midnight had made her choice, and no amount of sympathies would bring her back. "She made her choice. I need no sympathies." He called down, his voice clear and even, even as he beat his huge wings. Where would he go from here? He wasn't sure. "Truly, I have learned only one thing from this...." He chuckled out loud, but the sound was more hollow than pleasant. "Females are crazy." With that, he laughed again, but this time his laugh was more real. An honest, laugh, really, despite the pain he was in. And in this moment, he knew he would move forward. "Just a stepping stone misplaced, is all." He grinned, beating his wings and preparing to go.... Somewhere. He wasn't really sure where, to be honest.
