Drejan had just left his previous pack's hunting grounds a few days before. He almost welcomed the scent of a different pack, though he still kept himself alert. He sat down and took one last look back towards his previous home. His ears drooped slightly as the last thought of his family flashed through his head. He shook his head, trying to get it to go away, and stood up. He gave a respectful nod before turning the way he had been going and took off and a meandering walk. As he was walking, he noticed that his feet began to sink into the ground more and more. Evidently, there had been a somewhat fresh snow fall here, so it hadn't had a chance to freeze over enough for him to walk comfortably. He took a few more steps and let out a quiet yelp as he sunk down into the ground up to his belly.
With an irritated shake of his head, the blue tip on his tail let off a faint glow, then faded. The tip now seemed slightly translucent, as if it were a cloudy piece of ice. He then lifted himself back up onto the snow, but didn't fall through this time. He nodded to himself as he kept walking, and glanced back. He could see his tracks leading up into the hole in the snow he had fallen in. After that, though, the only tracks he left were small circles of frozen snow where his paws had been.
It was about mid-day when he came across a stone hole in the ground. He had been traveling quite a while, and didn't really have a chance to stop and rest except for at night. He knew he could keep going all day and a few hours into nightfall, but he figured he deserved a break, and a den would be safer than out in the open. He slowly entered, sniffing the air, trying to see if someone was in there already.

Ryleigh had been out and about when it started to snow. She didn't much like being dirty and she knew if she were out in it too long she would end up muddy. Ry let out a soft huff as the white started to come down harder. She wasn't in a place she knew well and she wasn't sure what she would find to help her get out of the whether. Ryleigh quickened her pace and decided she would find somewhere to stay until the snow had cleared up.
Ryleigh had been traveling for some time when she stumbled upon a cave. She slowly sniffed around the mouth of the cave to see if anything was living in it. She knew a bear or large cat may be living in the cave and she didn't want a fight right now, just somewhere to get her out of the snow. Upon smelling nothing, Ryleigh slowly made her way into the cave. The sun was still up some and she could see inside the cave. She walked into the cave slowly and after about 20 feet was able to find the back of the cave. It was empty and Ryleigh thought it would make a good den for the night. She gathered some of the dried branches and leaves and drug them all into a pile toward the back of the cave. She then pounced on it, going in circles until she had made a small nest. Ryleigh laid facing the mouth of the cave, this way she would be able to watch the snow and watch to see if anything was coming into the cave. Ryleigh hoped the snow would stop falling soon.
Ry had been asleep for a while when she heard noises at the mouth of the cave. She could feel the drowsiness start to wear off as she perked up her ears. She wasn't sure what was entering the cave but Ryleigh hoped it wouldn't find her. Maybe if i snuggle down into the leaves it wont see me and will continue on it's way.

{{OoC Sorry if I'm a bit slow and my posts aren't so good, I'm a bit out of practice ^^"}}
Drejan picked up the scent of another wolf, but he didn't recognize it from the other smells around. Hopefully she wasn't going to be hostile, all he wanted was someone to talk to. It had been years since he had any companionship of any kind. He walked slowly and carefully into the cave, trying not to accidentally show any aggression. "Hello? Is there anyone in here?" he quickly shook himself, getting rid of the snow that still clung to his fur. The blue tip of his tail quickly faded back to being opaque and looking less like it were made of ice.
He saw a pile of branches and leaves, and among the pile was a red-colored wolf. He stretched himself and gently sat down. He gave her a grin and asked, "Mind if I share this cave with you for a while?"

Ryleigh listened as the creature entered the cave. There was still some light out side and as it moved she was able to see it was another wolf. She heard the wolf call and could tell it was a male by the tenor of his voice. Ry hoped he was friendly but she kept herself buried. "Hello" Ry spoke softly but the cave wasn't very big and she knew he would be able to hear her.
Ryleigh watched as he made his way into the cave. His tail had an odd light coming from it but it quickly dimmed as he made his way toward her. That was strange, i wonder what it was. I haven't seen anything like that before. Ryleigh still hadn't moved much as he stretched out to sit beside her. Ryleigh felt wet hit her fur coat and she let out a small whimper. It was cold and wet and she quickly shook herself, trying to get the snow off her coat. "No i dont mind sharing with you. I do have one request first thought, can you tell me your name?" Ryleigh shuffled out of the leaves some to take a good look at the male. She stayed laying down but was on her belly enough that she would be able to jump quickly if necessary. Ry let her bright green eyes shift up the males form, trying to take him in.

Drejan smiled and nodded gratefully, "Thank you, it's been a while since I've had any company." he himself laid down looking over the other wolf with his blue eyes. His eyes were having a little bit of a hard time fully focusing, so her outline was slightly blurry, but he was able to take everything in. He said to her, "My name's Drejan." He glanced towards the entrance of the cave and saw the snow was still falling. He turned back to the other wolf and said, "Sorry about the water, didn't mean for it to hit you."
He let out a small yawn and felt a small breeze ruffle his fur slightly. He noticed that the snow flakes were starting to fall more horizontally, and with wasn't getting any calmer. He looked over at the other wolf and noticed she wasn't quite built for the cold as well as he was. He asked, " It seems as though the wind might be picking up, would you care for me to close the door?" He then blinked a few times as if he just remembered something long forgotten, he looked back to her and asked, "I'm sorry, may I ask what your name would be?"

Ryleigh smiled in return, glad to see the male wasn't hostel. Ry noticed he too was looking her over as she sized him up. He finally revealed his name to her and Ry felt herself relax just a tad. Drejan seemed to be friendly enough and right now with the snow neither of them were going anywhere. "It's nice to meet you Drejen." She smiled at him a little, trying to show him she was friendly as well. I do not want to have to fight him but I'm glad to have someone here though. If the weather gets any worse we will be stuck in here for quite some time and it would get rather lonely.
Ryleigh felt a breeze blow across her coat, bringing with it a dusting of snow. Ryleigh let out a small huff and sent a gust of air back toward the mouth of the cave. Maybe she would be able to keep some of the snow out with her ability. Being wet and cold in a dark cave would surly lead to freezing. Ryleigh heard him mention close the door and she cocked her head to the side. She looked over at him with confusion on her face, not sure what he meant. "Door? I didn't think caves had doors." Where is he going to get a door from? Maybe a big rock. Or maybe he has an ability of some sort. Ryleigh was brought from her musings and jumped slightly when she heard his voice again so soon. My name. Oh that makes sense, i asked for his i need to give mine in return. "Ryleigh. But some call me Ry." Ryleigh curled her tail around her and snuggled further into the leaves. She was starting to shiver slightly from the cold but didn't want Drejan to know. Ry could take care of herself when she needed too.

Drejan bowed his head when she had smiled to him. She seems nice enough, he thought to himself, though I don't think she'll be going outside anytime soon if this weather keeps up. He tilted head in curiousity when he felt air traveling back towards the opening of the cave. He looked towards the back and didn't see any openings. He glanced back at the other wolf with a quizzitive look and thought to himself, Maybe she has a few abilities herself? I might actually fit better here than home...
He grinned at her and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ry. And anything can have a door, if you have the means to make one, that is. I'll be right back." he nodded to her and stood back up. He walked towards the front of the cave and glanced back at Ryleigh and gave her a slight wink. He then looked back outside, closed his eyes, and bent his head towards the ground. The tip of his tail produced a faint glow that quickly faded to show it was, yet again, slightly transparent, as if it were clouded ice. He lifted his front paw and placed it down on the ground directly at the cave opening. Suddenly, a clear sheet of glass was forming over the opening. It took a few seconds to cover the entire opening, but when it did, the wind suddenly stopped. He took a step back to take a look over the new covering, and nodded to himself.
He quickly returned back to Ryleigh's side and nodded to her. He laid down and nodded to the sheet of ice and said, "That should keep the wind out, and we can still keep an eye out for anyone else trying to come in."

Ryleigh moved her gaze to the mouth of the cave. The wind was starting to howl outside and the snow was starting to collect inside the cave some. This weather is getting ridiculous. I had no idea when i left the den this morning it would be this bad. I should of just stayed put. Ryleigh huffed inside her head, slightly irritated with herself. It is winter, i should of knew better.
Ryleigh looked back at Drejan when she heard his voice again. She nodded her head at him when he said it was a pleasure to meet her. She wasn't ever one to be rude, even to new wolves. She watched with questionable eyes as he said he would be back and got up. Her eyes grew in size as she watched his tail light up and then the tip turn to ice almost. It wasn't something she had ever seen before and she now understood what she had seen when he first had entered the cave. Ice element it seems. Must be nice to be use to the cold. Ryleigh shivered again slightly before turning her gaze back to her. He winked at her and she blushed and buried her face. She wasn't use to strange wolves winking at her. When she peaked back out of her pile of leaves there was a large ice door at the mouth of the cave. Ry was amazed at such a feat and let out a low whistle. She watched as he returned back to his spot on the cave floor, proud of what he had accomplished. She liked his idea but she just had one question for him. "I must say that is a very nifty thing to be able to do. And your right, it will keep the wind out and we can see through it but...how do we get out when the weather passes?" Pleasssseeeee tell me you did not trap us in here Drejan. Ryleigh was begging almost with her eyes when she looked at him.

Drejan blinked a few times and tilted his head up in thought. "Y'know, I didn't think of that little part. I think I'll be able to melt it back down to water?" a mischevious grin flashed across his face for a quick second. He knew he could get rid of it. He'd used the same trick many times before on his travels. Now that he was a bit closer to Ry than before, he was able to get a good look at her fur. He hadn't ever actually seen a red wolf before. He'd only seen various different shades of white. He nodded to her and said, "I'll be able to open it back up for us when we need it. Forgive me if this is prying a bit, but you don't really seem to be from around all this snow. Mind if I ask where you are from? I'm a bit new around here." As he finished his sentence, his ears drooped just slightly, but he caught it, hopefully before she had seen. He lifted his tail slightly just in time to see the blue fade back to not being transparent any more.

If the color was able to drain from Ry's face it would of in that moment. She gave him a glare hoping he was just messing with her. She was sure she could get the wind to assist her a little if she really needed too. You better hope you can melt it back down to water. She growled in her head. She noticed he was closer to her this time when he had laid back down. She wasn't sure why but he wasn't too close yet. If he got much closer though she may have to shuffle a little. Ryleigh snuggled back into her leaves as she heard him start to speak to her again. Ryleigh looked over at him and shrugged. "It's not that im not use to snow, i just dont like to be dirty and wet. I guess its more of a personal preference really. If need be i can get just as down and dirty as you can, i just choose to not i guess. If im being honest, my favorite places to be are in a forest, surrounded by trees. Most often thats where i can be found, up in a tree some where. If we're asking questions i hope you dont mind if i return one to you. Where are you from and why are you here then?" Ry hoped he wouldn't find her rude or prissy as that was not her intent. She couldn't help she didn't like to be dirty.

Drejan nodded and replied, "I understand not wanting to get wet and dirty. Sometimes the dirt and get into places and get stubborn and not want to come out. " When she asked him where he was from, he looked out the opening and gazed off into the horizon. He said to her, "I don't mind at all." he shifted his weight a little to get more comfortable and continued, "I used to be part of a pack very far away from here. I've been an outcast, pretty much, ever since I was born. I was always watched with a wary, almost suspicious eye from the older wolves, but none of my siblings treated me any different when I was a pup. Later on, though, when we all got older, they all started ridiculing me, and watching me with the same suspicion as the older wolves, and the older ones stares turned almost into disgust." He hung his head down a little bit and continued on.
"I never tried to hide my abilities, and I even used to to help the pack, but I guess they were just scared of it, and the potential for what I could do with it. And then, one night, they all just up and left me alone. That was a few years ago, and I guess I just happened to come across this area, mainly looking for a bit of shelter." He looked back over at Ryleigh and said, "I'm glad I came through this way. You're the first wolf I've ran into that hasn't chased me off. And for that, I thank you." he bowed his head to her and finished, "And that's pretty much my life story. Nothing really all that exciting."

Ryleigh turned a little so that she was facing the male. She laid her head in the leaves but her gaze stayed on him. She shivered when he made the dirt comment. Not from being cold but remembering how hard it can be to get clean sometimes. Ry had a bad habit of grooming, not only herself but others too. She had been known to groom a stranger or too. At that thought she blushed a little. Ry frowned a little when she heard him mention his own pack. She had a gift herself and hated that he had been chastised for it. She had gone through something similar and she felt a pang in her chest for him. It was unpleasant and she didn't wish that treatment upon anyone but the wolves who gave it. "I'm sorry you went through something like that. I myself was made fun of as a pup and into my early adult years. It leaves scars on us that no one can see, but we still know they are there." Ry felt her ears fall back on her head thinking about her own experiences. "I hope you like it here and you find your place. And i would never turn anyone away unless they were unfriendly or rude. You however are neither of those." She tried to smile at him a little to help him feel a bit better. He looked so gloomy now and Ry hated when others felt that way. "Is ice the only element you have? I'm an air element myself so, i understand what you mean." Ryleigh closed her eyes briefly, watching memories flash before them. Now was not the time or the place for those and she quickly pushed them back to where they had come from. Now to figure out how to cheer him up a little bit.

Drejan nodded and said, "Scars hurt, and it takes a while for that hurt to go away. But if you can push through it, it makes you stronger." His own ears dropped as he saw hers fall and said, "I'm sorry if I brought back painful memories. And thank you. I, too, hope one day I can find my place, and I already like it here." He returned her smile with a weak one of his own. His mood brightened a bit when she asked about his elements. He replied to her, "I've got a bit of control over water, but not as much as ice. I've been trying to work on it, but it's a bit hard when most of the water you run into is frozen solid."
Drejan turned his head to face Ryleigh and said, "You mentioned something about a forest earlier. I've seen them on my journeys, but I've never actually been in one before. What's it like, exactly?" Most of the places he had been were covered in snow, so head hadn't really ever seen as much green vegetation that would be in a forest.

Ryleigh felt her face light up at the thought of the trees. She really did love being among them, feeling the breeze blowing across her fur. "Water too huh. Hmm i guess that makes sense. And you haven't truly seen the world until you see it without being covered in ice. It's so beautiful. Too see the sunset reflected across the water of the ocean. Feeling the warm sand between the pads of your paw. Or too watch the rain clouds roll in as you sit tucked up in a tree. Filling your lungs with the sweet smell only the rain could bring."
Ryleigh felt the breeze start to wrap around them as she let her mind fill with pictures of the forest. A smile came to her face and the tenseness started to leave her muscles. She could go on about this topic forever. "There are so many types of trees. Willows are nice. The leaves drape down to the ground, covering the trunk of the tree. They can usually be found around water and they make great hiding places. Always so calm a peaceful. Forests." Ryleigh could hear the wistfulness in her voice. She couldn't wait for spring and summer to return. Fall was her favorite though, watching the leaves change color and pouncing on dried leaves to hear their crunch. "Forests are always lush and green, full of so many types of trees. Because of my air elements, i always feel comfortable in the trees. To feel the breeze blow through the fur of my coat brings me much comfort. I love hiding in the branches and hopping down from them just in time to scare a pack member or friend." Ryleigh let out a strand of giggles at the thought. She had scared many a wolf that way. "When the winter is gone you will have to visit one. No matter how much i describe it to you, you can never truly know the beauty of the forest until you visit one yourself." Ryleigh let out a sigh as she thought about them. It wasn't a sad sigh, more of a sigh of reminiscence. "There are always streams and rivers that run through forests. Excellent places to work on your water element. And then you can lay on a large rock and dry out in the sun." At the thought Ryleigh closed her eyes again and rolled over onto her back exposing her belly. All of this talk about forests had relaxed her greatly and she let out a contented sigh. "You must visit a forest soon." Ryleigh then rolled back over onto her belly. She stood and shook out her coat to get the leaves out of it and then leaned forward. She curved her back some stretching it out before laying back in her leave pile. "So tell me, what other things can you do with ice?"

Drejan closed his eyes and tried to picture what Ryleigh was describing. From what he heard, it seemed like a beautiful place. He open his eyes as he felt a breeze flowing around himself. He smiled as he saw the joy on her face. He himself smiled as he picture Ry dropping from trees onto unsuspecting wolves, and a small chuckle escaped. He said to her, "It seems like a beautiful place. I would surely like to come visit some day. It has to be less boring than being surrounded by white, though the snow can have a certain beauty of its own."
His eyes drifted towards the ceiling of the cave as he thought of his other abilities. He said, "Most of my abilities are more for self-defense, though a couple I've managed to use to keep myself entertained while out walking." and with that, he stood up and stretch. He said to Ry, "Watch this."
He closed his eyes again, and his tail went transparent again, but also this time, the blue around his front toes also started moving. It seemed as if though it had become alive and flowed a bit further up his foot. If Ryleigh looked at the opening of the cave, she would see some snow floating up and passing through the ice covering, melting down into water as it got closer. Once it was fully melted, the blue spot on his tail had crept down, covering now a quarter of his tail. It flowed down to his feet and a small spot froze there. In a graceful motion, he slid forward, turning around to face Ryleigh while still sliding backwards for a bit, a small trail of ice lingering on the floor for a few seconds before vanishing.
He glided closer to the opening and stopped himself just in front of it. He looked outside and glanced up and took note of where the sun was. the blue on his paws seemed to flow up further, covering his ankles now, as some water floated up and covered the ice screen. It then started flowing and twisting as it was freezing, giving it swirls and patterns. He nodded to himself and walked back over to Ry and laid back down where he was.
"The other abilites I have are a bit dangerous to use for those around me." He looked back towards the opening again, and nodded to himself and though The sun should be in the perfect position here quickly.
