"No, I guess not," she sighed. "It is kind of long though." she said smiling at him.

"I don't mind," Taerin said, glancing out at the storm.

She nodded and began her story...
"Well, when I was only just a pup, only less than a year in age, my whole pack was attacked by hellbounds. I remember very little, because my older brother took me far and hid me, before he ran off himself. But I do know that most of my pack was destroyed. They came, blood thirsty, and seeking nothing but to destroy us. My mother and father tried to protect the pack, but they lost their lives in the process. My knowledge is only of three, besides myself, that survived. The enemies were large, and viscious, and very good with battles. I know my pack, especially the warriors, as is their job, fought well, with their lives, to defend it. After that, I only knew I was safe, and I had to find life on my own. It left a scar on my heart, that can't be removed. I tried to forget the matter, and decided to make the best of life, living as happy as possible. I never forgot, but I am still as happy as I can be." She looked up and smiled.

He leaned forward and licked her muzzle affectionately.

She smiled, and returned the lick. She looked out at the light that now pierced itself into the small cave. "It looks like the storm has moved," she said quietly, beggining to rise.

Taerin nodded and stood, going outside. The sun shone through the remnants of cloud, and everything bore the scent of rain.

She rose and followed, blinking in the sunlight as her soft paws stepped upon the dirt outside of the cave. She glanced about and smiled as the sounds of birds and things reached her ears. A few rabbits sat nibbling on blades of grass and hopping about. She wagged her tail and nudged Taerin before dashing after the little balls of fur in play. She laughed as she went along. Rabbits dived into their holes here and there and others merely scampered about trying to avoid her.

Taerin smiled at his mate. "You hungry?" he asked, licking his fangs as he watched the rabbits.

"Yep," she said, snapping her jaws. A young bunny jumped in surprise and then scurried off, narrowly escaping death. Its fur sprinkled down softly on the ground before Ukamirru's paws. She laughed playfully and began chasing another. She managed to get ahead of it and stood in its path, her legs keeping it from escaping. Her head lowered so that her neck formed an arch and she smiled, a low growl escaping her. The bunny eeped and tried to dart away, but it was too late for this little fellow. Her jaws snapped onto him, and his warm blood flowed into her hungry maw. She licked her lips. "Come on, join the fun," she called to her mate.

Taerin pounced at a rabbit, and narrowly missed, his jaws clipping it's white tail. It scurried away, disappearing down a hole. Taerin spat a mouthful of fur out, focusing on a slightly smaller rabbit that seemed frozen with fear. He leaped, his jaws closing around its throat. It struggled and kicked for a few moments, then remained still.

"Nice one," Ukamirru called as her jaws clamped down on another rabbit. "This is fun, and appetizing," she said with a giggle as she began to chase yet another.
After she had eaten a few small ones, she decided it would be more fun to try for the bigger ones. The rabbits had stopped scurrying, and were sitting quietly, wild eyes glaring about, as if they were supposed to be hidden. Ukamirru smirked, crouching slowly up on a big fat one from behind. Her paws barely making a sound, she was soon right behind him, her jaws ready to bite down. At that moment, the big rabbit wheeled around, coming nose to nose with the wolfess. He was startled and he frose, frightened eyes looking into her hungry, playful ones. She scooped him up by the scruff of his neck and trotted over to Taerin. "What should we do with him?" she muffled. "Should we let him go, or split him, or save him, or what?"

Taerin shrugged. "Whatever you want to do... I'm pretty hungry, myself."

With a quick snap of the jaws the rabbit hung lifeless from her maw. She nudged it toward him. "You can eat whatever you want," she said with a grin, before lowering her head to nourish herself.

Taerin nodded, and lowered his head, growling softly as he fed. The remaining rabbits had disappeared down various holes, thankful that they had not been killed.

She drew her muzzle out, licking her lips. "That was good," she said. "So, now what do you want to do?" she asked looking around.
