He gave a slight wag of his bushy tail, barely moving the white tip, and nodded. "Yes... I am. The last meal I had was a little rat..."

She grinned, "Well, now that I think about it I only had a squirrel." she smiled. "I think I know a section of this land that is pretty popular with deer." she said beggining to trott away. She broke into a run as she got closer.
As she reached the edge of a wood she slowed down again. She entered the brush and went steadily and silently along, watching her feet and using her nose. She sniffed at the ground beneath her and then raised her maw to sniff the air. Finally she reached a small clearing. A buck, eight doe, and four fawns were there. Most of them grazed while the buck watched, plucking grass to chew then raising his head to again watch. The others simply lay quietly or slept.
Katarina licked her lips in hunger, knowing it would be foolish to go for the buck as he would be much harder. She eyed two doe and their fawns as they lay. One of the does grazing. A hungry look was in her eyes as she crouched low. Her dark brown fur with crimson streaks and light brown markings blended perfectly with the forest around her. Her wings were folded neatly over her back so as not to make a disturbance. She slunk closer until she was in pouncing range, afterall, she was half-tiger. She swished her cat-like tail as she waited.
It was then she made her move. She pounced, spiking her claws and barring her fangs. A growl escaped her as she began to land upon the doe. The doe looked up but too late. Katarina's claws found their mark, her fangs sinking into the flesh of the doe's neck. The other deer darted running in every direction, the fawns not moving as was their instinct. The buck charged about trying to get everything under control and the doe Katarina had ran about wildly, for a moment. It slowed down, being slowly weakened and then came to a stop. Katarina smiled proudly as the deer lay down and died. She looked around, wondering where Feral was.

Feral followed her, then crouched when he caught sight of the deer. When Katarina, leapt, sinking her claws and fangs into the doe, he stood up, growling hungrily. When the deer fell to the ground, dead, he slunk out from his hiding place.

She smiled as she saw him. "There you are, get over here and help yourself," she said with a smile. She dug her muzzle into his carcass eating hungrily.
She pulled out her head, her muzzle now stained, and licked her lips. "This is the best meal I have had in a while," she said with a grin. She then bent down to eat some more.

Feral showed his sharp white fangs in a grin, pushing his muzzle into the bloodied carcass. He growled softly as he fed.

She raised her head again to look at him. She smiled, "You were obviously hungry," she said happily wagging her tail. By then, the deer was pretty much done. "There isn't much more to eat of this one," she said at last, slirping down a piece of liver. "What will we do with the rest of it?" she asked, looking down at its remains.

"Leave it for the crows, I suppose." Feral replied, licking blood from his slender muzzle.

"Or the vultures," she added to his sentence, licking blood from her own maw. She smiled. "Well, I feel like resting a bit somewhere. You can do whatever you want but I will be resting on that slope, in case you wanted to know." she grinned and then turned to leave, heading into the brush and then going back the way she came. She trotted slowly along, looking around. She couldn't help being attentive to nature and everything around her.
She soon arrived at the path that lead up to the wilf flower covered slope where she turned and began her trek up the path. She looked back to see if Feral had decided to come along.

The fox glanced warily up at the sky. He hadn't seen vultures around here before.
Feral trotted after the female. He hadn't had anyone to talk to in awhile. It was nice to have company for a change, even if he was something of a loner.

She smiled as she saw him. She wagged her tail, "Good to see you came along," she said. She then went to a nice spot that was not as abundant in flowers but had a few and that had thick tall grass. Many often mistook her for a log or something whenever she laid perfectly still in the middle if tall, thick grass like this. She watched Feral for a moment and then began to doze, her mind slipping into the world of dreams. She always loved a good nap after eating a large meal.

While the female slept, Feral stayed fully awake. He had no desire to sleep.

She opened her eyes and looked around. She began to stirr before she slowly sat up. She looked at Feral and smiled. "How long did I sleep, and how long have you been up?" she asked him, wagging her cat-like tail and walking over to him. She looked around, wondering if any other wolves were around. She had to admit that she was anxious to meet more.

Feral glanced at her. "I never slept," he said. "I don't sleep much."

"Oh, ok. Well, I have a few things I want to do in mind so you can come along if you wish, but I wanted to explore, and do a few things I haven't done in a while. Speaking of which, there is one thing I was hoping to do right now," she said with a smile. She looked up to see if any of her favorite clouds were in the sky. She grinned, "Oh, goodie, I will have fun." she said wagging, her cat-like tail. She walked to the edge and looked around. She spread her wings, the crimson steaks and orange tips catching the sun and gleaming. She pushed off the edge, her wings catching the winds that flowed by and lifted her into the air. She flapped her wings to accelerate and then turned to look down at Feral. "Are you coming or not?" she asked with a smile, keeping herself afloat while waiting for his reply.

"Can't fly," the fox replied, staring enviously at the female.
