Shirokiba watched as the Alpha approached, what was his name, Kangetsu? He wondered if he should follow, but for some reason he did not. Perhaps this was supposed to be a battle between the Alpha and Kangetsu, and the rest of them were supposed to be busy killing the rest of the minions.
He growled, eyeing this, Kangetsu. His claws were making marks in the dirt beneath his paws. His tail stuck out in agression and his ears were perhaps the only thing that did not show aggression for they were stuck up and listening. However, his eyes gleamed and his fur stood on end, his wings ruffled and spread only slightly to enlarge his appearance. He had a strait-legged walk, and his lips were curled back as he snarled, baring his fangs.

Yet once more this elderly creature's voice sprang to life, feeble sounding and slow, like that of a heavy boulder being rolled up a hill.
"Tu hud fyecd so desa fedr cilr funtc. Oa ghuf hud uv so bufanc, hun dryd uv so sycdan'c. Vmat druikr ra syo, ra pa hu lufynt. Ruf amca tu oa drehg ra yxienat uha cilr yc socamv ihtan rec lussyht? How else do ye think he aquired one such as myself under his command? Ye have much to learn...i know for your flames be nothing but blue...while mine be white. Noble dog, i have outlived you a number of centuries...ye are nothing but a flicker in my shadow. Ye should flee and live another day.))
Wrinkled hands gripped his staff all the tighter, the white flickers of flame licking at his fingertips as it danced all about the large icicle of a staff. Fire and ice combined of the highest level...this wizardlike figure was indeed very very old, and hardly the feeble sort. For although his body was reaching beyond it's limits, his mind held caverns of wisdom and knowledge...indeed he knew right from wrong, but it was past him to decide which side he would aid, for the two seemed to mingle and flirt with eachother so much...it was mostly hard to tell the difference between the two..and thus, he had simply aided one who could even outdo himself. One that had the power to smite him in a single blow should he chose...that being none other than Ghost.
It was about this time that Ghost's minions seemed to wake from the trance of the elderly demon, and continued on their rampage, however steered quite particularly clear of the majestic alpha, and the wise elderly figure.

"Indeed I may be less insightful than you," he replied with an even voice, abandoning his rigidness, however remaining motionless and dauntless as his spirit permits. The great white Alpha was oblivious to the new hostile meeting of opposing forces, this was due to their bloodied Alpha in the middle of a great confrontation of this elusive individual. His one eye that was not shut due to there being a scratch upon his left eye were kept locked upon Kangetsu. The remaining eye left open, however, did continue a glow. It was like the aftermath of using a kind of power he had. There was an almost lazuline-bluish hue within. "But if one is so insightful and wise, one would know that being powerful isn't everything," he continued, "nor, even underestimate one who possesses any kind of power. You underestimate me, most undoubtedly, as I've underestimated you. I can sense your power, and there is no doubt why an ultimate evil being like Ghost would acquire you for his personal minion." He paused for a long moment, allowing a heavy silence to fill the air (or as little silence that may be permitted, due to the war noises practically dominating the area) again before plunging on, "I may be a mere flicker of your shadow, by age, but I am still ancient, therefore I possess an abundance of power. Perhaps you may be a worthy adversary. More worthy than Ghost." Yueh spoke the last few words quite slowly, his bluish eye evermore watching Kangetsu, jaws parting and unparting at regular intervals.

Crow, though he was a blind fellow, was helping his clan fight these evil bastards. "Take that, ye blasted ol' git," he snarled, fwapping one of the many minions with his stiff tail across the face. "And that!" Dual icy-blue eyes had a milky film over such, obviously suggesting that he cannot use these poor organs. But this beast had an amazing sense of smell, and an incredible sensibility. The many waves around him caused his skin to ripple, allowing him to note where a solid creature belonged.

Paula was battling, she had seen all that had happened, but knew she must fight the minions, the battle between Kangetsu and Yueh's battle. Besides, maybe once she's done with the minions, she could somehow get to Ghost.
But the minions were taking her down, she was old. Wait, maybe, maybe she could use her dark side to fight the dark. And the full moon was up in the sky. She didn't struggle. The only thing she had to control was who to slash.
Her eyes turned red, her pelt turning black, only her mind was still there.
Minion after minion, fang and claw. She was winning. Maybe there was hope for Shinkou.

Shirokiba was watching the Alpha, almost perhaps in a daze for a moment and unconscious of anything but Kangetsu and Yueh, their discution and such. He seemed only aware of them and them alone, as if nothing else were there. He, for a moment, didn't even notice that the minions had once more been freed and were once more carrying on the attack. Nor that the wolves around him were once more fighting and killing and carrying on the battle. Until, a screech was heard.
He half jumped in surprise, shaking his head, his senses suddenly jumping alive and becoming fully alert. His ears twitched as he came from his, sort of, absent-minded stait. A pain came to his neck, slightly to the side and near his already injured shoulder. He growled, shaking himself, trying to rid himself of the minion that now clung to his shoulder with souly his fangs. It hurt, badly, and he could feel the crimson liquid that now began to seep through the open wound. He yipped as a shocking pain surged through his body, yet he would not give up.
He whirled, shaking his head and neck and turning about, growling and snarling and snapping at the creature. His claws scratched and pawed, seeking to tear the minion apart and release his flesh. He whipped around ferosciously battling with other minions as well. They bit, they scratched, they tore at him, but he yet still did not give in. He fought visciously, yipping and whining as he would feel a chunk of fur pulled from him, or an open wound made. He could feel the blood that dripped down his legs and side, but he ignored it.
He was weakening, he could feel it. There were so many of them. How long would he last. He remembered a great light, the Alpha using an ability, or perhaps many abilities tied together. He couldn't think. All he knew was he was fighting and battling for his very life. His silvery-grey fur, with white ears, maw, tip of the tail and legs from the knee down, now stained with blood and sticky and matted, giving him an awful feeling. He hated battle, and this was not the first great battle in his long life.
Suddenly, he felt a release, partially relieving some of the pain that ran through his body. He looked down and realized that the minion who had been clinging to his flesh was now lying dead upon the ground. At least that would help some. He whirled, continuing to fight and battle. They were winning. Gaining way on their enemy. Not much longer now, he was sure. But even then, more minions would come or be created. That would be terrible. Ghost had to be stopped. Shinkou would soon come to an end, if he weren't. He began to leap about, pinning minions down beneath his large paws and digging through them with his claws. This was a horrid battle, and it was seeming to go on forever. He beat his wings as well, so as to aid in killing minions, but even so, he was getting weaker and weaker, especially with all the blood that dripped from his open wounds. It was a horrible, awful stench, but he still only ignored it, refusing to give in.

Paula saw the injured wolf and had been slashing the minions to help him. There were still more, and more.
This isn't right, wolves shoudn't fight like men.
//Too late no, this evil must be stopped.//
She slashed, her talons covered with blood, it was so unnatural. But there was no way else to stop it, or was there?

The stench of death filled the air, and the white wolfess stopped suddenly, the fur along her spine rising as sharp fangs were bared in a snarl. She had come across one of the minions of Ghost. Immediately, she knew that this creature was evil, and must be destroyed. Her slender body was propelled into the air by strong hind legs, and jaws closed on the minion's throat. There was the sickening sound of flesh being torn, and Laurelinde dropped to the ground, licking blood from her maw.

Paula was slashing, but her mind started to grow numb.
//Oh no, no, no! No, I'm not gonna grow out of control, no!//
Yet she was struggling, and the only way she could control the bloodlust was remaining neutral. But now the minions were over her, and she had no choice. Her mind went unconcious, she was slashing out at everything, not knowing who she was slashing. She struggled to control, and Finally she had just a second to call out and warn all the wolves.
//Get away from me!!!All the wolves!! Get away!!//

((ok...first off just so we're clear, the minions can only be born from Ghost's blood. yep. not from the blood of the battlefield.))
The air held the thick sense of death and destruction, carried by the wind for miles over the terrain, and was eventually brought to the nose of one rather important wolf, although he hardly needed the encouragement of this foul breeze, for within his heart he knew something was wrong the moment he heard the senior beta male's cry. It was time for him to provide his services to the pack and live up to the title set upon him by Shawn himself.
Leathery nostrils flared as he reached the edge of Shinkou borders, paws lifting and settling on the ground in anticipation, slowly shifting his weight before he proceeded past the line of their land and towards the sounds of commotion. He had barely taken three steps before he found the battlefeild and haulted on it's outskirts, reddish brown pelt blowing in the passing wind. He had arrived...the new beta male, and thus he called out to those around him with a greeting howl, deep sultry vocals swelling out into the air breifly before he was confronted with one of the many minions Ghost had poisoned the earth with.
For a moment or so, the two simply eyed each other, the minion with a twisted, demonic smirk upon her girlish pale white features while her eyeball less sockets dribbled out blood in a most horrific fashion. Metalvash however simply stood there unaffected by such a grotesque sight, expression serious and firm. It was at a severe streak of lightning that stained the sky that the two merged almost into one being, the minion with extended nails ready to rip and tear into fur and flesh, while Metalvash snarled viciously and flashed his teeth, his footwork solid and not at all untrained.
Jaws snapped clean through the dry, disgustingly pale flesh in a matter of minutes, his form standing victorious over the now motionless body of the minion, teeth marks and tears in her neck. Another bolt of purplish lightning streaked through the sky and touched down almost directly behind him, though he seemed not to fear it but rather be quite in controll of it. It didn't take long before a healthy amouth of black clouds dotted the sky like pepper, building up to a most terrific looking storm...to which it proved to be as raindrops the size of nickles began to fall as Metalvash tore into the crowd of minions, his form illuminated every so often under a streak of purple electricity.
~~~~~~~
The great wrinkled face of this ancient looking creature sagged ever so slightly at Yueh's words, his gnarled hand reaching up to lightly rub at his temples and once more his vocals reached the air in a dry, brittle state.
Oa ihtanacdesyda ghost, mega oa ihtanacdesydac sa. Ehdanacdehkmo oa ryja oad du vekina uid fru e dniamo ys...Yueh...Muug yd sa, yht ghuf drocamv.((Ye underestimate ghost, like ye underestimates me. Interestingly ye have yet to figure out who i truely am...Yueh...Look at me, and know thyself.))
It was almost odd, their conversation in the middle of the battlefield...as bodies continued to fall on the ground, yet the two of them remained untouched...at least so far. At Kangetsu's words, his old, wrinkled form began to shed, the rubbery skin replaced with silver tufts of fur and his body shapeshifted into that of a very familiar looking wolf...a mirror image the two of them...save for the fact that Kangetsu looked considerably more worn and that about his wings swirld both fire and ice forces, each the coloration of blazing white. With his good eye, Kangetsu streightened himself up, tail arched majesticly and proudly and spoke again.
"Tu oa ghuf fru kyja sa dra hysa Kangetsu? Ed fyc yvdan e zuehat res...yvdan ra tavaydat sa. Oa tu hud naymewa...pid e ryja ihtanacdesydat oui meddma...yc e ryt uhla cduut eh ouin jano bmyla. E ys oui." ((Do ye know who gave me the name Kangetsu? It was after i joined him...after he defeated me. Ye do not realize...but i have underestimated you little...as i had once stood in your very place. I am you.))
He listened. Listened, indeed, as if he has never listened before. For each word, a sudden dread filled every vein in his protoplasm, like a deadly toxic gas. There was no escaping this toxic gas. No escaping from the truth. He knew it to be true. Immediate shock was a true word to describe for such a soul; more so, it came to him as quickly as a fierce, unpredictable thunderbolt hitting the earth's surface.
The world around the white beast that was the alpha of Shinkou Ookami seem to crumble like a wave crashing on a rocky cliff. Both injured and uninjured eye were wide in genuine trepidation. It's almost hard to precisely discern how horrified this beast became, for when the sudden truth sank in, Yueh began to fall upon his knees, murmering to himself, a frown upon his face, and consuming distress wallowing in his eyes. For each word emitted, there was a long pause that lasted infinitely. "No. It cannot be. That's impossible."
The atmosphere around Yueh seemed to have gone in slow-motion, whereas his brain was swimming with the innevitable truth. He was not looking at the enigmatical form from which he was blinded unknowingly to. Organs that served for his sight rolled recurrently about his sockets. There was no denying it: both Kangetsu and Yueh looked identical, only with a few differences, that Kangetsu was older, with a much more knowing air; whereas Yueh was younger, only at this moment of time possessing bloody scars around his body. "Why?" he muttered, his tones cracking as if weighed by such truth. "Why... why... why...." And it was then that a new image burst into his mind, blinding him from the world around him: he was going to be defeated by Ghost, and he knew it, and he will succumb to the power of Evil before it was all over. There was only one thing to do: to kill himself, sacrifice himself for his pack, to kill Kangetsu and cease Ghost's plans. If Yueh were till kill his own self, or his past-self as Kangetsu would see him, Kangetsu would cease to exist right now. Evil would not prevail.
Suddenly, the world around Yueh began to proceed into regular motion, and his good eye had landed upon Kangetsu for a breif moment before coming into another wild realization. He had known my thoughts, he knows what I was thinking, he was me, he thought hysterically, he knew what I was going to plan to be doing, and he will cease me doing what I am thinking about doing right now... Yueh simply stood there, all of these feelings swimming inside him, experiencing anger, bewilderment, and insanity all in a few minutes. What is he going to do? Everything, everybody... All that he loved dearly is now in danger, it hit him suddenly like a speeding bullet to the brain. I am the weapon.
